You know that you have to connect the iPad to your PC with the cable that came with it -  and then iTunes should start automatically and it will guide you through the set up process?
If you have already tried to connect the iPad - and you have launched iTunes - and you still have no luck - reboot your PC and then begin the process again.

  • Downloading Flash Professional CS6: Gets to 99% and crashes.

    Hi,
I'm having some very serious problems downloading Flash CS6 onto my computer. I have a 2009 Macbook Pro and just recently had all the parts replaced (new 512GB hard drive, 4GB 1067 Mhz DDR3, 2.53 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor) and just installed Mavericks (10.9.4).
Flash CS6 worked perfectly before my new parts, but now when I try to install it initializes the installer, begins the installation, gets to 99%, freezes, and ultimately crashes my computer. I have tried all of the troubleshooting I've found (restarting the computer, downloading the .dmg from different browsers, using the Adobe CC Cleanup Tool). And, because I have to force restart my computer each time, no installation logs are recorded in the library.
The errors that I see in the PDApp are as follows:
[ERROR] DWANative - Error in dwa_getInstalledPathOfPayload, pdbSession is NULL.
    P6Flex.ValidateSerialStatusCommand Received validate serial response : ERROR_SN_VALID
[ERROR] IMSLib - Failed in getting value for key in OPMGetValueForKey
[ERROR] LWANative - failed in IMSLib's fetchDefaultUserInfoForClientId function, in getDefaultUserForClientId
[ERROR] IMSLibHelper - Failed to get proxyCredentials from local store in setProxyCredentialsForHTTPRequest
[ERROR] LWANative - service manager not installed cannot broadcast vulcan event in sendVulcanEvent API
[ERROR] LWANative - OOBElib returned error: 47
[ERROR] LWANative - OOBElib returned error: 34
I need Flash for my job and am on a deadline - if someone could help me out that would really be appreciated!
    Thanks!

I have also tried Disk Utility to Verify/Repair Permissions and trying to download to a different User Profile. Any other suggestions??

  • Youtube videos do not play in Firefox. I have this error: "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video," even after I have followed the link.

You have 2 versions of "Shockwave Flash" (Adobe Flash Player) installed; one very old version (7.0 r19) and the current version (10.0 r45). You can see both "Shockwave Flash" plugins by going to Tools > Add-ons > Plugins. You can disable the old version 7 there.
    <u>'''To disable the old version'''</u>:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+plugins+with+Firefox#Managing_plugins
    <u>'''Remove the old plugin'''</u>
    1. If the old version 7 is showing as "Adobe Flash Player 7 Plugin" in your Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, you can remove it from there; click on it, click Remove. See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program
    2. If the old version 7 is not shown in Add or Remove programs, see: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins#Manually_uninstalling_a_plugin . Some of the old plugins are in the Plugins folder of your programs Firefox install folder and can be renamed or removed from there manually.

  • Since downloading Maverick, my iMac turns itself on, even after I put it to sleep. I go away and when I come back, it's switched on!!!

Since downloading Maverick, my iMac switches itself back on after I have put it to sleep.
It does not do it every time but has done it several times. Any ideas on how to stop this?

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CSeq wake | awk '/:/{$4=""; print}' | pbcopy
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear below what you entered.
The output of the command will be automatically copied to the Clipboard. If the command produced no output, the Clipboard will be empty. Paste into a reply to this message.

  • Download Flash installer, disappears despite showing in Processes under task manager

Installed latest Firefox under Windows 7 64-bit. Cannot complete the installation of Flash Player from within Firefox as it seems it cannot connect to the Adobe server. After manual download from the Adobe site and after the site recognises correctly the OS and other details, download successfully. Start the installer only to see the downloaded file disappear from download folder and nothing happens, no dialogue etc. Upon checking task manager the process is there and running but seems to be doing nothing. I suspect this is not a problem with Firefox nor Flash but rather w7, but thought i would start here. Using the standard w7 firewall and AVG free for antivirus. Recently purchased from DELL.

Try downloading and running [http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe]. Adobe's standard installer is horrible.

  • Downloading flash installer hangs at 30% then fails every time

Hello, I am running a 2012 MBP retina.  I download the latest version but the installer pauses for a minute while downloading (at the 30% mark), then fails.  "Connection Failed.  Unable to complete installation".
I have tried following the solution in this thread:
Flash Player Installer hangs at 95%
But I don't see the .pkg file inside the downloaded .app file.  I am not running antivirus and I have rebooted.  I have used the uninstaller as well.  I am using Safari for this.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Managed to resolve this myself (see this thread: How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X)
Thanks for all the replies though

  • Download Flash Shockwave Video get only advertisement, not the main show

I want to watch the TV show on the website http://www.cbc.ca/video/swf/UberPlayer.swf?clipId=2556767122
I downloaded UberPlayer.swf (1715KB) by the the “Media” tab of the Firefox web browser.
That file is only an advertisement, not the main show.
Please help to download the main show.
    Thanks.

Questions related to Flash should be asked on a forum for the Flash Player
That said, I dare say the clipId parameter effectively tells the server and/or player what content to display. If you had a packet sniffer installed you could probably find a URL for the content you are trying to (illegally?) download

  • Adobe Flash Player continues to be unavailable even after it's been downloaded

I have a Mac 10.6.8 computer and have installed the Flash Player numerous times, but have been unable to access certain things that require it.

  • Flash installer contains a virus

I have tried from multiple machines and all get the same thing.  Our antivirus program is eTrust from CA.  When trying to install from Adobe's website, I get the following message:
The Win32/Sality.AM wad detected in c:\users\username\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\content.ie5\lnqcgx3f\install_flash_player_ax(1).exe.

Have you taken a look at the CA eTrust forums for a false positive, used one of the online scanners, or sent that detection into VirusTotal/Jotti to test that detection on a sample?  I think you'll find that the odds of having a false detection by eTrust are pretty high...

  • Can no longer download from some of my 'usual' places, even after the 'update'. WTF?

I've been unable to download ANYTHING from a few of my 'regular' places since I got this %#*@^ 'improved' Firefox. If it wasn't nearly impossible to do, I'd go back to the old one, at least it did ALL the things I use a browser for.
Here's the deal. I go to one of these websites, spy something I need, and try to start a download. Does it happen? NO! Why not? Because said website admonishes me that I already have my limit of downloads in progress! Seems simple enough, you think? Sure, except that I have NO f**king downloads in progress! That never happened with the older Firefox, the one that worked. I've spoken with the webmaster of a couple of the sites involved, and they've made no changes, have no other problems, BUT they advise me that MANY of their users who have this POS 'new' Firefox are having the exact same issue.
I hoped that, once you people issued an 'update' for this spiffy new Firefox4, you'd fix this problem. Surely I'm not the only person cursed with this problem?
Hey, look, if you can't or won't bother to fix this, would you at least have the decency to make it easy to go back to the OLD Firefox that worked reliably?
You can bet I'm making it my business to tell anyone and everyone I can reach that FF4 is a POS, and this is a very good time to find a new browser, like Chrome. Even IE manages to download from the website(s) FF4 no longer d/l's from.
I'd be ashamed, if I was you.
If it matters, mine is a plain vanilla PC, running 64-bit Win7, basic un-tweaked installation. I have the issue noted above whether or not I have any add-on's working. I've made sure to reboot the PC and restart FF4. I've downloaded and installed the alleged 'update', then again rebooted the machine, and still have the same f**king problem, website(s) think I'm already downloading. I never had this problem before I got this spiffy new Firefox4, and if it wasn't such a chore to remove it and go back to a Firefox that WORKED, I would have already done so. Now you've done an 'update', and apparently no one there gives a f**k about this. The websites involved are the same ones I've been d/l'ing from for years, with no problems, and they've made no changes. My PC hasn't been in any way changed, it's entirely the fault of Firefox4. What a POS!

  • Hi! I downloaded a plug-in that slowed Firefox, even after I removed it. I reset Firefox, during reset my computer went black. Now it won't open. Help!

I downloaded a plug-in (add-on) from Facebook onto my toolbar and it made my entire computer run slowly. I disabled the add-on, removed the toolbar, and everything was still super slow. I went to troubleshooting and hit reset firefox. It was in the process of resetting and my screen went black. I thought it was just the screensaver but after pressing the space bar, screen did not return. I did a hard exit on my Mac and restarted my computer. On my desktop there is now a folder that says "Old Firefox Data". When I try to open firefox I get a message that says "your firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible. I've tried to reinstall firefox as well, only to have the same result. Help!

Do you have JSON backups that Firefox keeps in the bookmarkbackups folder?
If you use the Time Machine then you can try to restore the places.sqlite file.
