WIN 7 Pro 64-bit and 4GB DDR2

I ran WIN 7 Pro 32-bit and my K9N Diamond showed 3GB of RAM.
Now I'm running WIN 7 Pro 64-bit and it still shows 3GB of RAM. I thought with 64-bit installed I'd see all 4GB of RAM?

And now in addition.... now I'm even MORE certain that I'm correct....DIMM4 is bad....
The CPU-z Tools Save Report names the DIMMs by name....1, 2, and 3...... #4 isn't listed..... lookee here:

Boot Camp does not come on DVD, what did you install.

Windows XP Pro (32-bit) and Vista Ultimate (64-bit) on the same Mac Pro HD?

Has anyone been able to install both Windows XP Pro (32-bit) and Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit) on the same dedicated Windows hard drive? I have four HD in my Mac Pro, and one of them is dedicated for Windows (and bootable via Boot Camp). Has anyone successfully installed Windows XP (32-bit) and Vista 64-bit) on the same NTFS partition?
I already have Windows XP Pro (32-bit) SP3 installed on my single NTFS hard drive. I am looking for the best way to add the Vista 64-bit installation on the same hard drive.
Any thoughts and advise are appreciated.

Windows has its own list of boot OSs, and default, from msconfig. It will sit and wait for xx-seconds on startup in Windows if you want to boot from an alternate.
As to whether Apple's OS Switcher (aka startup disk bootcamp control panel or tray icon) sees both, I had Windows Home Premium and Ultimate 64, and pretty sure OS X saw both. That was pre-Leopard and before there were 64-bit Apple drivers.
I can't think of any scenerio of wanting to mix 32-bit and 64-bit on the same paritition, you realize you can't install the one over the other and must do a clean install.
When I added a partition out of main partition (I wanted to put search index and page file on their own partition) those partitions aren't seen - are hidden - to Leopard.

Win 7 64 bit and SB Titanium X-FI Drivers

Ok - sound dissapeared yesterday, replaced by some silly High Definition Audio Device driver that doesn't work that well at all. Sound driver pack 2.7 and the latest Beta can't find the card. Tried compatibility mode and tried running as Administrator - no joy. Even tried rolling back a week in case it was a windows update that was the problem, and still no luck. Moved the card to another PCI-E slot - still no luck.
I don't care if it's creative or MS - this is poor - I just spent over a grand upgrading a gaming system I built for 3 grand 2 years ago and this isn't meeting my expectations. Card has worked in the previous rig well (apart from a few shoddy driver releases) and in the new rig it's been working fine for about 2 months until last week. Only system changes have been installing Resident Evil 5, Ghostbusters, L4D2, the new version of VLC and yesterday the latest NVidia driver - unconfirmed if the sound was working before that or not, but the microphone dropped off about a week prior.
For the time being i'm running back to onboard sound (yuk) awaiting direction, but i've been through the posts of the many people who have had the same problems and while running as administrator has worked for some of them - I note that as for myself, it hasn't worked for all of them.
Card unable to be detected via driver installer, auto-updater (admin, compat or otherwise - even the AutoUpdateA file)

If I try to li've with the MS HDAD driver with the Li've Titanium in the PC, if I plug anything into the front, to doesn't detect it's there - if I place anything in the back same again. If I remove the headphones it seems ready to accept something? . It's all back to front.
The only time I could get the MS HDAD driver to do anything was with the onboard sound device turned on and the Titanium X-FI removed. Please note that no driver other than the MS HDAD has been loaded on the system for the onboard sound and it is definately turned off at this stage and during testing the X-FI.
I'm going to have a play in Safe Mode, but currently all roads lead to fail.

Running win 7 64 bit and itunes continues to stop working even after uninstalling repeatedly

I have windows 7 64 bit on my PC. Itunes continuously stops responding and closes whenever I open itunes. Whether it is to play music, plug in my iphone or ipod shuffle. I have uninstalled itunes too many times to count and reinstalled it. Every suggestion I have found online I have tried and I AM ABSOLUTELY FED UP. This prob makes my use of iphone for music impossible and a real bummer. PLEASE HELP

What Firefox version choices do I have for using Firefox on new laptop running Win 7 64-bit, and how do I move bookmarks from current laptop running Firefox 3.5.13 to new laptop?

Currently running Firefox 3.5.13 on laptop using Windows XP pro sp3 and will want to move my bookmarks to a new laptop. New laptop uses Win 7 pro 64-bit OS. I have read too many conflicting reports about Firefox and Win 7 and understand that Firefox is working on a true 64-bit version. What are my choices for a stable web browser for new laptop and which particular version of Firefox is recommended and the pros and cons of that suggestion? (I believe one can run Firefox 32 bit version in the 64 bit environment, but is that the best choice?) I have not installed Firefox on new laptop yet and am eager to dump IE. If you go to this link you will be assured by Microsoft and Win7 "new" app checking and making sure that all drivers and software you have is compatible with Win7 64 bit. And in this article it states that Firefox version 3 IS compatible and designed for 64 bit OS, hm mm well as you know that is incorrect!! I have a Z570 laptop Win 7 64 bit and need a new mouse driver

I just updated my Ethernet Driver on my Win 7 64 bit Z570 laptop. Now, the icon for my Mouse no longer appears in the sys tray, and I can no longer scroll using the Mousepad. In order to scroll, I have to go into control panel and open up the Mouse settings, and then the icon appears in the sys tray and I can then scroll. In MSCONFIG, I have normal startup checked. I have the Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad, with driver 15.2.7.0 dated 2/8/11. I guess I need to update the Mouse driver. Anyone know of a fix for this, or can you point me to where I can find a better Mouse driver? Thanks.

Make sure you read this NOTE on the page:

I'm a major MSI fan and have been for a long time. My computers (even my customer's) are MSI boards.
Recently, I upgraded my motherboard, ram and processor to the new AM2 core (ok, not really new, but w/e). I have the following items:
MSI K9A Platinum
4GB DDR2 800 (2x2GB) G.Skill 5-5-5-15
Athlon X2 5200+ Windsor 65w w/2x1MB cache
2x ATI Radeon x1650 256 DDR2 (Crossfire'd)
1x 200GB SATA2
1x 300GB SATA2
2x 500GB SATA2
My previous system had:
MSI K8N Neo-4F
4x 1GB Kingston DDR 400

Ok. So heres my problem:
I installed each 2GB stick into slot 1 to verify they work and I got all 2GB. Shut down and installed each 2GB at each channel (DIMM1 and DIMM3) and BIOS reports 2544MB total. I look in BIOS and it says Physical Memory = 4096MB, Usable Memory = 2544MB. (This is before I even installed windows.) So, I tried to see if windows would report differently and after installing, it reported the same 2.48GB of ram. Now I know that Windows 32-bit can only go up to 3.2GB and I have no problem with that. My previous setup reported all 4GB of ram... so whats different about this board that it doesn't use all the memory available?
If this is an issue with the Processor, then let me know. I paid for 4GB, not 2.5GB. I expected at most 3.2GB.
And no. I won't go Vista. And Windows x64 has little to no support for a lot of what I do/have. So I won't use it either.

Windows 7 64-bit and 4gb ram on S10-3T

Can I upgrade my S10-3T to Windows 64-bit and install a 4gb stick of ram? I found a couple of sticks with matching specs on amazon.
Also will the processor bottleneck the 4gb ram/ is it even worth it?
I have the N470 BTW

It means windows 7 64 bit won't work with S10-3T, same with the 4G RAM since its maximum is only 2GB

CUVA with Win 7 (32 Bit and 64 Bit) OS

Hi All,
Our users are facing issues with CUVA 2.1.2.0 [ CDP 2.1(0.6) ] with Windows 7 32 Bit and 64 Bit.
On Windows 7 the CDP Driver and version is visible but not on Windows 7 64 Bit.
On both the operating systems, users are not able to access the CUVA video. The status of the link between IP Phone and video is showing as disconnected.
I know of a old document on Cisco website which says its not compatible...Any alternatives?? updates??

FYI - I have installed Win 7 64-bit on a 3 year old dual core dell inspiron 6400 with 2GB of ram and it is running beautifully. So far, I have not seen any issues with 2GB of RAM. Boot up really fast. browsing seems faster, MS Office works great.
My new T400s will be next - just a bit nervous as i want to make sure that all the necessary drivers are available.

Everything runs fine with Firefox, Chrome, IE7, IE8, Safari on Windows XP 32 bits as well as 64 bits, except on Windows 7 64 bits with IE9 64 bits and Flash 11.3. 64 bits. Furthermore, it's work with Windows 7 32 bits with IE9 32 bits and flash 11.3 32 bits.
After the flash client executes a "loadVoucher(drmContentData)" for the licences server, I receive as a response the error code 3303 ?
According to the reference of the runtime error, it's says that the content is expired.

yes, the encrypted content packaged with the policy.expiration.endData only with a date very far away.
I tested that with IE9 32bit on Windows 7 64bit machine, the video works. Flash Access response without any error.

Problem with Macbook Pro 2,66Ghz and 4GB Kingston memory

Hi all,
I bought 2x 2GB Kingston memory(SODIMM - DDR2 @ 667MHz) in order to upgrade my MBP.
When I install both modules, the MBP won;t boot. I get a blank screen.
If I use 1 Kingston module at a time (1x1GB(original memory module)and 2GB(Kingston)) .It works fine.
Both of the Kinston RAM modules seem to be working fine, when not installed together, but MBP doesn;t start when both are installed at the same time.
Any idea of what the problem could be?
Is related to my MBP or it has to do with the Kingston Modules?

Hi, I'm having the same problem on the 2.4 (early 2008 2.4 GHz macbook pro.) I bought 2x 2gb Crucial RAM and installed correctly, but the machine doesn't start up. So, I tried every conceivable combination, but the new 2gb RAM only works when paired with one of the old 1gb sticks giving me 3 gb total.
The new 2gb sticks BOTH work (when paired with old RAM), just not together. The 2gb RAM they sold me shows its speed as 6400 800mHz -- Could the faster speed be the problem? My system profiler shows the 800mHz RAM as 667mHz when it is installed.
D.P. it looks like you have the same mbp as me. I talked to Apple Support on the phone a couple weeks ago doing my own research and learned (i'm not SUPER tech-savvy) that the laptop is 800mhz but will only accept ram of 667mhz because the computer has to be faster than the memory installed in it. They cannot be the same speeds. Don't know if this would cause the problem you are having, though.

Adobe cs3 @ win xp 64 bit and 16 gig of ram

im editing images with huge file size in adobe cs3 and i want to make it fast. can this machine help cs3 on it's performance ???

XP 64 is unsupported and causes countless problems with Photoshop it also lacks drivers. CS3 is 32-bit only.
I would use CS4 and either Vista64 or Win7 64-bit OS.

XP Pro 64-bit and iTunes

I have upgraded to XP x64 and subsequently found iTunes will not install so I cannot listen to all my new music! Does anyone know how I can get around this without going back to the 32-bit version of windows? Additionally does anyone know when iTunes (and QuickTime) will be compatible? I found this article but it wasn't very helpful

PC Windows XP Pro 64-bit

iTunes used to work well on x64 until some time ago there was a conflict between QuickTime and a Windows security update. Lots of users reported problems here, not being able to install and use the latest version of QuickTime (and thus, iTunes). These problems only occured on x64, as far as I know, and it seems that Apple decided to completely prevent iTunes from being installed on x64 (quite a radical way to work around problems )
I think this is pretty bad, I also have quite a lot of music bought in the iTunes music store I can't listen to, at least not on my PC. Really annoying...
One way to work around this issue might be to look out for an older version of iTunes (and QuickTime as well). But as new versions of iTunes and QuickTime often fix security issues, I don't know if this is a good idea.
I don't know any possiblilty to skip the check for the OS version in the installer, although I'm pretty sure that this could be done somehow.
But even if one would be able to run the installer, there's no guarantee that the problem mentioned above is solved. I.e. it's possible that the installation of QuickTime will fail.
However, I also hope that Apple will release a version for x64 soon.
