Win 7 pro smooth window exit and open not working

Hi all,
I have a thinkpad T400 and after playing GTA San Andreas,(the colour scheme got changed to windows 7 home basic) when I closed the game, the scheme changed back into windows 7 pro.
But, I have noticed that when a window opens, it opens suddenly like win XP and not smoothly like the win 7(this even applies for closing the window.....).
I confirmed this after I set up another account in my laptop and that account turns out to work perfectly....
can someone please tell me what to do about this problem?

It appears you either don't have the QuickTime plug-in installed or it is turned off.
The page worked fine for me.
Your version of Internet Explorer is showing an "image" placeholder and, obviously, QuickTime is a .mov file.

Open QT Player, Open URL (File menu) and paste the link above. If it plays QuickTime works. Paste the URL in a different browser and see if it works. If it does then the QT plug-in works which means the issue is with IE.
I would throw IE off my PC and get a real browser.

I have an assessment built in v5.5. When the assessment is in the LMS and is exited, it does not rewind. This problem has happened before when I upgraded from 4.0 to 5.0 and the resolution was to replace the default.htm file (located in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5.5\Templates\Publish\SCORM\1_2 and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5.5\Templates\Publish\SCORM\2004) with a default_Intergrity.htm file and replace that with the default.htm files before publishing. Does anyone know of a solution or an updated default_Intergrity.htm to resolve this. Thanks!

Restarted Safari and it now appears to be working correctly. Fingers crossed.
I have been running Activity Monitor in the background and it appears the memory issues have been solved. Safari Web Content is not using a progressivley increasing amount of memory.

Bt mail on windows phone and tablet not working

In the last 2 weeks the bt email on my MS Surface has stopped working. it just tells me that my account is unavailable. Inhave checked all the settings on all looks good but it atill won't work. At the same time I started having problems on my Nokia Lumia 625 and although it works most of the time it seems confused thinking it hasn't updated but has, I get annerror message 80004005. Sometimes it doesn't work at all for a day but then works. Both these problems started at the same time. have bt made some changes that are affecting my windows mobile devices. All is good on android devices and on outlook on my desktop PC.

Didn't help, made it worse, got a different error message and no email downloaded, at least with the auto settings it works but with an error message. I will keep looking, it would be good if bt had a reason for this and would let us know what it is.

Sharing Itunes library between windows desktop and macbook not working

Hi, I just bought my laptop today. I've had it about 3 hours. I have 2147 songs on my windows itunes library, and i would love to be able to put them on the laptop too. Now, both of my computers are on the local area connection, but for some reason when i go to network places on my desktop the laptop doesnt show up. When i go to iTunes on my laptop and click import, i find my server, i find my computer, and then it asks me for a domain name, a username, and a password. I've tried multiple combinations, i'm not sure which username/pw combo its looking for but no matter what I do i get no error messages telling me i'm wrong, but absolutely nothing happens. Please help.

This is a compleentary advice: MAKE SURE THAT WINDOWS AND MAC HAVE THE SAME GROUP NAME!
In mac go to the preferences and activate Windows Sharing from the network.
Then go with the finder to applications utility and Directory Access. SMB is the protocol that OS X uses to exchange with Windows. Go into its proprieties and choose the same name you have given to your windows group (USUALLY "WORKGROUP" but it may differ)
To change the name in windows Xp is even easier. right click the m computer and choose properties and then the "Name" tag - change the group - You'll need to restart.
Almost forgot: you have to share the Music Folder on XP to have it show up from the mac. Right click it and choose Properties - Share tab - Activate network sharing
And remember, it is easier with a USB drive

you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party.

Yes/No/perhaps/maybe? You won't know until you try. Windows programs are generally backward compatible, but of course there most definitely will be specific problems like needing to manually adjust user permissions or getting things like printing functions to work.

Java applet works in windows and does not work in linux

I'm working with site which is located in vpn network at work.
I use browsers firefox 3 and opera.
When I want to open java applet using firefox or opera at first everything is fine then on the last stage of loading(judging by progress bar) applet hangs(progress bar hangs) and when I reload page firefox shows in the bottom bar: applet <applet's name> bail.
In windows everything works both in ie6 and firefox 3.
On both environments I have the jre 6 installed.
please help!

Ok, I installed ies4linux and jre 1.5.16. I can work with that but when I start applet screen goes black and window frames dissapear.
To solve this problem(feature?) I disabled DirectX-based acceleration for Java 2D but that works for javacpl.exe and does not work for my applet.

Windows Live Tiles are not working and refreshing

I have looked for an answer but can't seem to find one so this is honestly my last resort. For some reason my Windows live tiles are not working nor refreshing. When I open my Netflix app for instance I get a playback error N8102, but I am strangely connected
to the internet. Oddly, however, Netflix does work well using firefox on the desktop.
I tried to check if I needed an app update for Netflix, but the Windows app store is not loading as well. Internet explorer app is not working, and IE on the desktop is taking too long to load. But firefox and chrome work perfectly well on the desktop.
Other problems that I have encountered are:
Microsoft Office 2013 is taking too long to open, and when it does it often crashes
I can't view my Windows Updates
Can't view control panel. It also crashes.
I am not sure what the problem is.

Take a look at Apple's document for authorizations -> iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization.
You can deauthorize all computers from iTunes. All you have to do is click iTunes Store, click your account name in the upper right corner of iTunes, then deauthorize all.

Did you try to hook up both monitors to the Belkin adaptor? Trying will determine if your monitor has a bad input port. See if the Belkin adaptor is the problem. I have never used that specific adaptor, but I have always had luck with the Dr. Bott's DVI for ADC adaptor. Best of luck.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
