Win 8.1 Connector issue

Hello folks,
I have been having this annoying issue trying to Join my windows 8.1 desktop pc to my company domain, whenever I run through the connector software (Windows server 2012 essentials) it fails with "an unexpected error has occured" just after you
put in the domain credentials.
I've removed all connector updates and software installed on the pc and tried fresh...still no joy.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jordan

Hi,
Please ensure you uninstall those connector software completely and unjoin you computer client from the network. Meanwhile, please make sure the client computer
is not joined to any other server networks. Then check if you can join in your company domain.
Based on your current description, please refer to the following path on the client computer: %programdata% /Microsoft /Windows
Server /Logs and find the ClientDeploy.log to narrow down your issue.
By the way, would you please provide a screenshot for the error message (you describe it "an unexpected error has occurred")?
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Justin Gu

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Very slow wine game/nouveau driver issue

Hello everyone, I'm trying to play a game (Civ 4) using wine. However, it was extremely laggy, and since it runs well on Windows (I have dualboot) plus it's not a very recent game and my laptop is reasonnably well-equipped, I thought it should work well on arch as well. Here is the link in the wine db. I should also add that I'm a very novice wine user so that might well be the (a) source of problem(s). Apart from the lagging, according to the sensors, the CPU's temperature rose from ~50°C to ~100°C within about A MINUTE.
I checked cpupower to see that the cpu was allowed to run at max speed and tried optirun to use the NVIDIA graphics card rather than the Intel graphics card I have installed. I'm by no means sure that the drivers are installed or configured properly by the way...
Starting with optirun looked to work (the loading screen came up) but when the main window should've been loaded, the application terminated with the following output:
err:winediag:wined3d_dll_init The GLSL shader backend has been disabled. You get to keep all the pieces if it breaks.
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/nouveau_dri.so failed (/usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/nouveau_dri.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64)

Before today I only used optirun for VLC (though I don't really see a difference) and to check whether it would run with glxgears. Neither case had any problems. I tried softlinking nouveau_dri.so from the "/usr/lib/..." to the "/usr/lib32/..." directory as well as copying it but neither helped.
    Some info:
    Graphic cards:
    01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF117M [GeForce 610M/710M/820M / GT 620M/625M/630M/720M] (rev ff)

    Packages:
    local/xf86-video-intel 2.99.916-2 (xorg-drivers xorg)
    X.org Intel i810/i830/i915/945G/G965+ video drivers

    local/nouveau-dri 10.2.8-1
    Mesa drivers for Nouveau
    local/bumblebee 3.2.1-3
NVIDIA Optimus support for Linux through VirtualGL
Some advice how to fix the driver issue or about what else might be causing the problems is greatly appreciated!

Besides agreeing with the notion above, you lack lib32-nouveau-dri and thus are unable to use acceleration with 32bit programs which is the undelying issue here.

I am not sure of OJDBC jar file version .we have either OJDBC5 or OJDBC6 jar deployed in SAP MII.
The oracle database version that we are connecting in the data server is Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit
    My questions  are
After the server process shutdown and recovered , While  all other connectors  working fine why oracle connectors have problems?
Is it due to oracle driver issue? or any other issue related to Netweaver.
    Please help.

for item #1...If you add the line "gal_enableldapsearch = FALSE" to the "[ENG]" section of the calendar server configuration file, it will only put calendar users in the GAL and not all Internet Directory users.

  • OID 11.1.1.5.0 Connector Issue With Logging in OIM 11.1.1.5.0

I am using OpenLDAP as my target system for the OID connector. I am following the OID 11.1.1.5.0 documentation section "2.1.6.1 Enabling Logging on Oracle Identity Manager". I placed the first part inside the <log_handers> tag and the second part inside the <loggers> tag.

  • [Wine] Sound card selecting issues

Since a month or too, after one of my weekly updates, wine started to select the wrong sound card for its audio playback. Thus, alas, no sound in wine applications.
When selecting the audio tab in winecfg, I get the following console output:
fixme:mixer:ALSA_MixerInit No master control found on HDA NVidia, disabling mixer
fixme:jack:JACK_drvLoad error loading the jack library libjack.so.0, please install this library to use jack
I don't use jack, so that can be ignored. The HDA NVidia - the S/PDIF on my NVidia video card I presume, I don't use either. What I do use is my onboard sound chip in combination with alsa, which works perfectly on non-wine applications.
So, I got the following set up:
    $ cat /proc/asound/modules

Note that I already blacklisted snd_hda_codec_nvhdmi, which was in the above output before blacklisting.
Also note the weirdness of having two identical modules for card 0 and card 1. I guess the chip on the video card is Intel as well. I this possible?
Now the list of things I tried, all without a positive result.
First, I completely reconfigured my alsa set up.
    Secondly, I blacklisted snd_hda_codec_nvhdmi in /etc/rc.conf
Thirdly, I used the info from http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys to force wine to use card0:
    AutoScanCards=N
    AutoScanDevices=N
    DeviceCTL1=hw:0
    DevicePCM1=hw:0
Fourthly, I edited .asoundrc to force alsa to use only card0:
    # define soundcard to use, hw0:0
    pcm.!default {
    type hw
    card SB
    # device 0
    # define control device to use, hw0:0
    ctl.!default {
    type hw

Finally, I tried the above globally in /etc/asound.conf
I even waited two wine updates to see if that would fix it.
All above did not solve the sound issue and winecfg still gives the same error output as before.
Note that the sound works fine in everything, except in wine.
Anyone has any ideas or insight?

I think you should put the device also, as shown on your "aplay -l". Try and let me know (I will try asap).
Edit: Forget what I just said and just follow strictly the wine wiki page. In my case it was a problem when installing lib32-openal from the repos. It gave an error and did not install the first time, but I thought it was removed from the repos and wasn't needed anymore.

  • Win 8.1 stutter issue with Flash 15.0.0.189

    Greetings -
I am having stuttering issues with 2 brand new 8.1 computers running flash.
I've done a fair amount of troubleshooting and I believe it's an issue with Win 8.1 and Flash 15.0.0.189 (I don't know about previous versions.
Running this version of flash on my Win 8.0, HP works fine in both IE and Firefox
Running this version of flash on a new (few weeks old) custom built Toshiba Satellite S with Win 7 preloaded works fine in both IE and Firefox
But then I bought a Best Buy "blue label" Toshiba E45 with windows 8.1 I have stutter with both IE and Firefox.
No updated video drivers, but I reinstalled anyways. Also uninstalled/reinstalled flash as well as Firefox. I also unchecked " hardware acceleration" no difference. Changed screen resolution on my desktop, still had problems
Returned it and bought a Lenovo U430 with Windows 8.1 today...still have stuttering on FireFox and IE
Apps that run Silverlight work just fine.
It seems to me that there is an issue with Win 8.1 with the most recent version of Flash.
If an adobe staff member would like me to test the HP or Lenovo U430 further to resolve the issue, please let me know. I really can't handle all this stuttering.  I would really love to help get this resolved asap.
If staff would like an example, Gracepoint on Hulu. The most recent episode The first stutter came in when 24:56 min were left at the show and then 22:55 min left. I then switched over to IE and had stutter with 21:20 left in the show, 17:56 left, and then 17:02 left.  But it really is random.

Hey, same problem here. System: ASUS N56JK, nVidia GeForce GTX850M with latest dirver (344.60), Win 8.1, Flash Player version: WIN 15.0.0.189. Browser Opera 25, IE 11.
Video (full screen and window) stutters time to time. Audio is fine. HTML5 works also fine. Tried all possible variants (disabling HW accel., drivers update, browser update etc.) - nothing helps.
Dear Adobe experts, you'd better look on to this issue asap, as it's massive. Can't open a bug report, so write it out here. Can send 'DxDiag.txt' file by request if needed.
Meanwhile will look for Adobe FP alternaitives on Win OS..

  • Win 8.1 activation issues on Satellite Pro C850-1EQ after upgrade

    Hello everybody!
I face a problem after upgrading my TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO C850-1EQ preinstalled windows version 8 to 8.1.
After installation windows demands the product key in order to activate windows 8.1, but I haven't this activation key.
I called Microsoft (Greece) but couldn't help me and told me to call Toshiba (Greece).
The man from Toshiba's technical support told me to call back to Microsoft!
Also, he told me to check here (https://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-upgrade-stepbystep/) before I start the process. Step No. 7 says "Remember your Windows password. You may need to enter it after updating."
Now I returned back to Win 8.
Is there a way to learn my activation key before the installation of w8.1?
I tried to find that using various tools but no one finded the key.
Plus, after the installation of 8.1, a message says:
    +Error code: 0xC004C003+
+The activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked+
I trust Toshiba and I want to use the latest version of w8.1.
I would be greatful if someone technician from Toshiba could help me with this issue.
    John (from Greece)

    Hi
Yes, the preinstalled *gets automatically activated* when I restore or refresh my pc and I do not need the activation key.
When I upgrade to windows 8.1 it asks me the activation key in order to activate the new version.
Before the upgrade, yes, I updated win 8 and the drivers too. I always keep my pc updated.
    What do you mean:
+Try this: create the Toshiba Recovery DVDs (or USB flash memory stick). Use the Recovery medium in order to recover the notebook back to factory settings. Update the Windows 8 to latest state and then perform the upgrade to Win 8.1+
Windows 8 is in a hidden particion in my PC, so I don't need to create recovery disk.
Or do you mean anything alse?
    Thank you for your reply

  • MSI GT70 20C WIN 8.1 UPGRADE ISSUES!!!!

Hello everyone  A bit of a quagmire here.  I have a new MSI GT70 20C.  It is an awesome gaming machine to say the least.  I decided to choose the best of two evils and decided to upgrade to WIN 8.1.....
    Here is the issue:
    1:Uninstalled the old Killer E2200 LAN/WLAN/BT 4.0 Drivers.
2:Installed the new Drivers provided by MSI and all work except LAN.
3:Uninstalled everything and tried again but this time noticed that when device manager is open and installing the driver pack, the device manager refreshed about 10 times or so and it is all fine until after the program says to reboot then the LAN is not working again.  I proceeded to uninstall and re-install this time to cancel the install as I realized that there is something in the driver pack that is conflicting with windows during the install process. I restarted the system and now it all works.
This is not just a request for assistance from support but also a really strange assist.  Please respond if anyone encounters the same situation.

I've got the newer/newest gt70 dominator pro, which came with windows 8.1 installed.
So I don't have the same issue as you.
But with killer and drivers for it, ive had nothing but problems.
As of right now, I deleted the killer suite and only have drivers installed. The LAN driver in my device manager shows the yellow exclamation mark, but it works. So that's where I am and that's where im choosing to stay.
I will end up, and soon, getting an intel wireless card, but not sure if you can replace the lan as I think that might be part of the board.

  • R7770 / Win XP pro driver issue - directx not supported help please!

Hi guys sorry to bother you, and for such a long question.
I've just purchased a brand new MSI branded AMD radeon r7770 to replace my nvidia 8800gt graphics card which finally bit the dust last week.
Despite uninstalling the old nVidia drivers, trying the ones that came with the card and downloading and installing the very latest versions from both the AMD and MSI sites, I still cannot get directx to work. At first glance, the drivers look to be installed OK, (the Catalyst Control Center starts up etc) but none of my games run, and the desktop refresh is incredibly slow. KSP's crash log helpfully states that it cannot find the device driver. When I run Dxdiag.exe all the directx diagnostic tags are greyed out and the info box states that the card does not support directx.
The system is pretty ancient but should still be up to the task as it was a well speced gaming PC in its day:
Mboard: Asus P5K3 Deluxe (intel P35 chipset)
    CPU:      Intel core2duo Q6600 (quad-core)
mem:     4 gig Corsair ddr3 mem.
    PSW:     600W
    OS:      Win XP pro SP3
I'm aware that this is an old PCI-E 1.0 board and the card is designed around PCI-E 3.0, but the computer boots up and starts Windows just fine. Both the Bios and Windows detect the R7770 correctly. (I'd have thought if this was an issue - it wouldn't go past POST at all and begin beeping like crazy!)
To muddy the waters still further, as a experiment, I installed an old radeon card for test (a crappy Sapphire hd 2600 pro PCI-E version), which is about the same age as the rest of the system.
I couldn't find the drivers disk initally, so downloaded the relevant ones from Sapphire and AMD. Got EXACTLY the same problem as above: it looks as the drivers have installed but no Directx support (which is daft as I used to use that card games until I could afford to replace it with the 8800)
I tried everything I could think of for hours (including disabling driver signing security, stopping anti-virus software, trolling through the windows/ inf, System32 and System dirctories to weed out anything ATI - you name it) then miraculously found the old drivers for the HD 2600. Installed them with no probem at all - everything worked just as it should!
So, I looks to me like the XP drivers on the web are now garbage. Anyone else have similar problems or know of a workaround?
I'm not exactly rich so can't afford Win 7 or the dreaded Win 8  (which I loath) or a new PC, which is why i'm soldering on with this dinosaur!
The only thing I haven't done is splat Windows and do a clean install, do you think that'll help? If so why did the old radeon drivers work (win has been cleanly re-installed many a time since I last used that card, so there was no legacy junk lurcking in the windows diectory or it's registry)
Do you think I'd have better luck with NVidia? If so could you kindly recommend an alternative from them? I know an R7770 is a bit OTT for such an old system, but they are dirt cheap at the mo and not much more expensive than much less powerful cards.
Anyone have any thoughts about UBuntu? If it is a driver issue or there is no workaround, I may need to consider this route. Trouble is none of my legacy games will run on Linux and i'm not sure virtualization is available for my mboard.
Anyways, thanks for your time and for any suggestions you might make
    Regards
    Mike

Hi Flex, thanks for the quick reply and for the advice.
In the end i got it going by changing the boot.ini settings.
They were initially set with the /3GB /fastdetect switch to force the WinXp kernal to run in 1GB, and not take up 2GB as is it's default.
It was set that way to stop a 32bit game (KSP) crashing every 10 minutes or so, through lack of addressable memory.
All I did was simply set the boot.ini back to its default and directx sprung to life. I reset it back to 3GB to make sure it wasn't a fluke and as soon as I did, it killed directx again.
Maybe its a driver issue afterall - probably lack of proper XP support by AMD (This dosen't happen with the old- - 2008 vintage - version 4 ATI radeon drivers.) or perhaps its because the card has twice the memory over my old cards and therefore needs to access a higher portion of I/O allocation than is available in 32bit WinXP.
Its all a bit ironic really as i'm finding the R7770 runs like crap under dirx9 - i'm getting about 30% the frame rate of my old Nvida 8800GT and, as I can't use the 3GB switch anymore, it crashes every 5 mins or whenever I play any resource intensive game.
As the crashes are caused by lack of available address spaces under 32 bit systems, I've bitten the bullet and got 64bit Ubuntu. Got this working in the wee small hours last night - including the R7770 using the AMD catalyst drivers for Linux. Hopefully that will sort things out (and gimmie an excuse to learn a proper OS!)
Wish me luck i can see another "steep learning curve" on the horizon!
    Cheers
    Mike

  • Windows Server Essentials Connector issue

I cannot get the computer connector program to complete successfully. Had to add my 6 Pcs manually through the Properties screen on the PCs.  As a result, Computers are not listed on the Anywhere Access screen and no-one can remote into their PC.
I have both, a self-signed certificate for the servername.domainname.local and a purchased certificate for the public domain on the server.
here is the computerconnector log and the clientdeployment log:

testing the certificates and not finding any errors, I stumbled across the Basic Settings button that highlighted an authorization problem. I manually set the authorization to the admin account and by problems disappeared. I am now able to successfully
join client PCs to the domain thru the //Server/connect method.

  • DBUM Connector Issue in OIM11g

Hi all. I'm having a very strange issue. Let me explain my scenario. I have installed correctly the DBUM Connector 9.1.0 in OIM11g. When I start a direct provisioning for an user, it all works perfectly: the user gets correctly created automatically on Oracle DB by the connector. Now I'm trying to enable a Human User to edit the provisioning form before the connector starts for the provisioning in the following way:
    - User X starts direct provisioning for Oracle DB resource object
    - User Y is assigned the provisiong task "Edit Provisioning Form" (which precedes "Create User" - standard task created by DBUM connector installation)
    - User Y edits the provisioning form (previously compiled from User X)
    - Connector starts for the provisioning with the provisioning form modified by User Y
All actors involved in this process have all privileges on resources and forms for Oracle DB resource object.
Although this, when connector starts it reply with the "ERROR" response code. Analyzing the log, I've been able to see this exceptions:
    oracle.iam.connectors.common.vo.ITResource
and all the related exceptions. By the way, User X chooses correctly the IT Resource for Oracle DB resource, and User Y does not modify X's choice.
Could anyone help me to find out the solution to this problem?
I've tried the same solution with SSH Connector, in OIM11g, and it works fine. I'm having this issue only with DBUM Connector for Oracle DB.
Thanks in advance for the help,
    Giuseppe.

I kind of remember ..i had a similar issue , Can you try giving permission to the involved actors on DBUM IT Resource.
    Thanks
    Suren

  • Wine/Enlightenment Diablo II Issues

Allright, so here's my story.  I've gotten Wine set up, Diablo II installed, updated, patched, and running very nicely.  However, with E16 as my current WM of choice, when I hold ALT and click the window, E16 interprets this as a "move window" click and tries to move my fullscreen app. As any DII player will know, holding ALT and clicking makes picking up "teh l00t" much easier.
Is there some way to have Alt+Click (and possibly other combinations) ignored by enlightenment when I start a particular app (eg. wine)?
On another note, whenever I pull up the minimap the game goes insanely laggy (whereas it doesn't in Win).  I've got a good card, but it's ATI and I've heard the drivers kinda blow. Nothing I can't work around, but if someone else had this issue and has cleared it up, help would be appreciated on that too.

ATIs always seem to have issues with overlays - any type of content pasted over animated images....

  • PoP Port Connector Issues

I seem to have a dodgie pop-port on my phone or dodgie cables?
I wiggle the pc cable and that causes it to disconnect from the pc and phone yet its still in the socket and the headset sometimes if i wiggle it, the sound cuts out..
Can I take this to a Nokia shop to get it fixed under warranty or do I have to RMA it back to Expansys?

Yes, Nokia's pop-port wasn't their best invention. I had similar problems with my 6280 and I've heard countless other people with similar issues.
What I used to do always was to blow on the handset's connector in order to dislodge any dust particles, and then wipe the contacts on the headphone or USB cable with a soft cloth in order to get rid of dust/grease/etc. Then annd only then did I get a relatively stable connection.

The network connection was interrupted. Make sure your network cable is  attached properly to your computer. If you still cannot connect, try again later.

    Hi,
As Diane suggested, you can restore to a point to verify whether it's caused by an update. But before this, please let me know your current Office and Outlook build number so that I can take further action if you can confirm it's an update problem.
