Win 8.1 Encountering PFN_List_Corrupt BSOD while shutting down

Hi there, starting last month my computer began experiencing PFN_List_Corrupt BSODs occasionally while shutting down. I am running Win 8.1. I tried memory search but the system says no error was found. Could someone help me with this? The DMP Files are here: http://1drv.ms/1A7pv3k
Thanks!

The dump shows that the BSOD is probably caused by : igdkmd64.sys
It is known as Intel Graphic Kernel Mode Driver or belongs to software intel Graphic Accelerator Drivers for Windows.
I suggest you keep the latest version of the driver or software, or reinstall as a test.

  • Getting BSOD while shutting down windows

I installed a Plextor 712 A DVD RW drive as a slave some time back. Since then, intermittently I would get a blue screen of death when I shut down my system. I cannot find a pattern when it happens - seems random - but I feel that it happens more often after I burn a DVD.
    The screen says:
    STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
When I sent the error report to microsoft, it says that the error seems to be coming from a device driver but they do not know exactly which one. The report that goes out to them is:
    BCCode : 7f     BCP1 : 0000000D     BCP2 : 00000000     BCP3 : 00000000
    BCP4 : 00000000     OSVer : 5_1_2600     SP : 2_0     Product : 256_1
Any ideas what might be the issue?
    Thanks for any info.

  • Tablet freezes while shutting down after upgrade to android 4.3

Has anyone experience this, my tablet freezes while shutting down and I have to hold the power and upper volume button to restart and then it shuts down fine after restarting and not opening anything. This starting happening after upgrade to android 4.3.

Mine was bought last week and delivered yesterday ( with 4.1 or something old android and bought at sony site , despite higher pricing than local shops ) , did update  ( with PC compagnion ) to 4.3 version and indeed , the shutting down causes it to freeze .
When waiting few minutes or longer , it finally shuts down .
VERY annoying and VERY unpleasant first experience with xperia tablet Z .
( have to shut it down at airport and travel 2 times a week by plane ..... pfffftttt )
Such basic malfunction should be solved instantly .... come on sony !

  • PB boots randomly while shut down

Since installing the latest security update last week, my Powerbook keeps booting randomly while being shut down - day and night. There is no automatic start up or wake scheduled in the system prefs, and no application has been installed since that might lead to automatic boot ups. Any idea on how to fix that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    Powerbook G4 1.67GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Hi mcp,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
That Sec Update is known to have issues. Read this for potential fixes.
Also, you have an Aluminum PB, while this is the Titanium folder. You'd likely get better help for your machine by posting in the Aluminum folder. Good luck.

  • "loud running" battery (or fan?) while shut down... this normal

The battery shouldn't be running loudly and heating the machine up while unplugged/ after shut down, right??
never had this problem with PowerBookG4. Can take back within 90days??

If you do a Shutdown from the Apple menu, the MBP should be totally silent and the temperature will slowly drop to room temperature. No lights will be visible.
If you put it to sleep by closing the cover, the white indicator on the front will be pulsing but the fans, hard drive, and screen should be off. It should slowly drop to room temperature.
I think the no questions asked return period is 14 days, not 90 days.
You get 90 days of free call-in support if you haven't purchased Applecare.

  • Battery drains while shut down?

If, having SHUT DOWN (not sleep) my MBA, and let it charge until the magsafe light is green and let it charge overnight, I unhook the magsafe while keeping the MBA off and closed, I leave it TURNED OFF for an entire day, go out to use it elsewhere and when I get there, the battery is completely dead.
Why? What can I do to fix it?
The Air seems to shut down MUCH quicker than my old MacBook Pro, so I don't know if it's just not shutting down properly or not. The same thing happens if I hold the power button for a hard shutdown until it shuts off and repeat the charge/wait process.
Like I said, this is with it SHUT OFF and not in sleep mode. If I can't leave it turned off while I wait in an airport, what's the point exactly? Is anyone else experiencing this? (I know at least one person is on another forum, but no one gave him any answers)

Used the timer on my iPhone. From green status light (turned off) to when I woke up it was eight hours, 41 minutes, 48.6 seconds later and the battery status was as follows:

  • MOVED: K8T Neo-V with Win XP Pro, computer restarts instead of shut down?

This topic has been moved to AMD64 VIA/AMD/ATI based board.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=93812.0

I disabled Boot on LAN, disabled Wake-On-PME in BIOS, and checked my control panel power settings, but it still restarts instead of shut down.  I just got this motherboard and it started doing this ever since I installed it.  I did reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows after I installed the motherboard.  I'm trying to avoid opening the case again, I don't think I flipped the power switch and reset switch because when I push the reset button or use Start menu's restart, the computer still restarts.  I guess I'll double check it again...
for the "clear cmos and load defaults in the bios", this is a brand new motherboard, shouldn't it already have the default settings?  and what do I need to do to reinstall the mainboard's chipset drivers?
    Thanks!!

  • Mac hangs at white screen with spinning with loading wheel while shutting down.

I've had a problem with my computer recently that really bugs me, because I been needing to install os x updates, but when i try to shut my computer down, it hangs at a white screen with the grey loading wheel forever until I forcibly shut it down. This has been bugging me a lot, and when I try other peoples' solutions, (e.g. resetting NVRAM, uninstalling apps), I can't figure out what apps to uninstall, and resetting the NVRAM is no luck. I have a console log of the shutdown here:

    Hi,
Are you running in an MP configuration, i.e., does the MODEL entry in the *RESOURCES section indicate MP or SHM?  If it is MP, then you need to issue the command on the machine listed as MASTER or the current MASTER if the DBBL has failed over to the backup MASTER.  If it SHM then I'm a little puzzled as the error message I believe is specific to MP configurations.

    Hi All,
Though this is not a show stopper bug, I am not sure whether this may result any error situation or not.

Issue: When I initiate "Oracle Apache Server ORCLAPPS_erp" service shutdown either in Windows Service window or from command prompt using adstpall.cmd, System is showing below error alert and then service getting stopped(purpose achieved). As such I dont see any problem with that. But I would like to fix it to avoid any problems it might cause for which I may not trace out to its root.
Error:"Apache.exe - Application Error" The instruction at 0x####### referenced memory at 0x####### . The memory could not be "read".
From below note I understood such bugs can be avoided by upgrading Apache version 2.0.43. Right now the one came along with vision instance is vesion 1.3 (according to Readme.txt file from Apache\Apache directory.). But I am cue less how to upgrade Apache, whether any Patch exists from Oracle to do this or not. Or, I should not change Apache from apps instance. Even if I can do, how I can do it? Or its nothing to do with Apache version. I am totally confused.
