Win 8.1. When I try to go to a site, keep getting ads and warnings that I need to update programs, can't delete them. How do I keep these from coming up?

You may have an unwanted extension that is displaying those ads. Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable or remove.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
If the Remove button is not available, then usually that extension was installed externally and needs to be removed through the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Clicking the "Installed on" column heading will group the items by date so you can spot items that snuck in as part of a bundle.

Any luck? If you identify the culprit, please name names.

This is on the Apple ID manage and create page, this has happened to three of my accounts and I seem to get to the same exact spot and it just contradicts itself and won't let me log on at all. I have hooked up two E-mail accounts to the Apple Account and Vertified the accounts through the E-Mails sent to the external E-Mails but it still doesn't let me get into my Apple E-Mail at all.

I logged in changed the primary E-Mail address to a different one, vertified it then tried to log in it said either to send an E-Mail to veritify again or to do my security questions, so I choose to do the security questions and put in my Birthday like it asked and it said that it was wrong and I had to authenticate it to get in, why is it so hard to just set up a Apple ID really though!
So I tried the E-Mail to and it has not sent me an E-Mail then I tried to log in again and it has locked me out of my account so I try to recover my password and it gave me the same options to get my password back and both options are doing the same as before, it says I don't know my on birth date or it is wrong or needs authenticate it, then the E-Mail doesn't come through!
This is just stupid now.

On my iPad and iPhone I am getting errors that it can't get the Yahoo! mail to go through, it won't verify the data.

I can't get mai on the iPad or iphone (and maybe the macbook pro) from Yahoo!. It won't verify the info and has me to authenticate using safari. I hav a PLUS account, have deleted and restarted a new account, but no verif. It used to work, but has quit. Especially worse since running iOS 5. Apple is scheduled for expresslane for 4 - 5 days out. I don't have a current phone number for Yahoo! or I'd be bugging them. It just won't verify even after changing passwords. GMail and iCloud work fin. Any ideas ?

Is your iPad able to access the internet using Safari? If not, I suggest you unplug your WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the iPad's network at Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect the iPad to WiFi.
If you are able to access the internet, then there may be a glitch in your iPad Mail setup you are overlooking. It could be something like the letter O where a zero should be, a space where none is allowed or a backward slash (\) where a forward slash (/) is required.
One other thing you can try, is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Thunderbird bird is email client software not an email provider. Talk to your email provider if you want something banned.
It helps to understand how email works before complaining about the wrong thing and looking foolish.

I'm not clear on where you are seeing that text. When I view Google's cached page from the page found in this search

It doesn't match yours exactly. There is an iframe with a Google map in it in the "Hosting Analysis" section, which in your pasted page seems to be the "Site Server" section.

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:

Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Nothing happens after i install is the "Launch Firefox now" checkbox set, the same message comes up.

TS2776 I can"t syn my ipod nano as I had a new version of itunes installed as my old version was not working at all. The message I get is that it can't sync as my old music library is not on the new version of itunes but I still have it on my ipod.

I agree with Kappy.. passing files and especially via wireless is slow as slow.
Just need to be sure your TC is the new AC model??

Have you completed the setup of the TC via the utility? You do still need to get internet via the TC so it has to be plugged into the main router..
Give us the full picture of the network.

OS X is the same no matter where you buy it. You can switch it to Japanese or one of 30 other languages in few seconds via the system preferences.
