Win 8.1 iTunes 11.1.3.8  iPhone 5 IOS 7.04

Ok,  I have not been able to sync with iTunes since 7.01.   I don't know if this is an Iphone issue or Itunes issue.   I click sync, get to the last step  and I get stuck on waiting for changes to be applied.   What are the changes, I don't know.
I have clicked, toggled, unclicked, reloaded, restarted, and stood with a bucket of ice on my head as has been suggested in other posts found on the web, and nothing works.  I show that posts back in Oct. state that this is an unresolved issue, but I have seen nothing from Apple.
We are an 'i' family, and up until ios 7 have really enjoyed the products, but this is extremely frustrating.   Does anyone know what the fix is?  Is there any news from Apple on the situation?  Or is it simply time to move on?

That seems to be an iPhone 3G, which can't be updated past 4.2.1.

  • ITunes 10.5 synching with iPhone iOS 5.0..."other" takes up a ton of space?!

So, Something is wrong with my iPhone...
I just updated it yesterday, and all of my music was off of it when clicking on the 'music' icon (even though in settings it said it was on there?)
but the bigger problem is the capacity of my phone... seen in the photo, it says that the 'other' takes up 16 gigs. This happened on my iPad, so i took off a ton of photos, etc, only to find out that it was because i had podcasts synched on. I took them off of my phone, along with videos, but this still shows up. what do i do?

This happened to me, but not as dramatically.  I restored the iPhone from a back up and that shrunk the Other to a less alarming chunk.

  • TS1363 I was upgrading iPhone OS from 5.1 to 5.1.1 on Win 7 using iTunes 10.6.1.7.  The iPhone hung.  It is no longer visible by iTunes on Win 7

While upgrading iPhone OS from 5.1 to 5.1.1 on Win 7 using iTunes 10.6.1.7, the iPhone hung.  I could not get iTunes to find it and Win 7 does not see it.
When I connect the iPhone to the USB, Win 7 issues the welcome sound, but that is it.  The same happens when I disconnect iPhone.
The Devise Manager has the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver correct without any problem.  I updated this driver called usbaapl64.
    The iPhone is still hung.
    I restarted the iPod service
I restarted the Apple Mobile Device Service
I tried to empty and delete the temp directory in C:\users\myname\AppData\Local\ but could not
The iTunes I am using is the latest version
I updated the Apple Mobile Device Driver as stated above correctly
The iPhone is still hung and is not recognized by Win 7 or iTunes, so I cannot restore the OS to the previous working version
What else can I do to restore the previous working OS on my iPhone 4

I was connecting the iPhone 4 to a USB 3.0 port.  I was told by Apple Express Support (at US$29.99) not to use USB 3.0 and to use USB 2.1 instead.
If you are connecting your iPhone to the computer using a USB 3.0 port, disconnect it immediately.  iPhones will lock up if you try to update while  using a connection through a USB 3.0 port.
Disconnect the iPhone from the computer
Go to Device Manager and find the connected USB port.  Click the mouse right button and update the driver
Shut the iPhone by pressing the sleep button and the home button concurrently for some time
Move the USB cable to a USB 2.1 port or older without the iPhone.
    Restart iTunes.
    Connect the iPhone
Your computer should recognize the phone and reloads the correct USB 2.1 driver (Apple Mobile Device)
Then iTunes should recognize the iPhone and starts reloading the firmware.
When that is complete it may ask if you wish to restore, naturally you say YES
    iTunes will restore the iOS
Using iTunes, restore the latest backup to get your data back.
When all of the above is completed.  Start enjoying your iPhone.
If the above does not work.  Throw your iPhone out of the window and get a replacement Android phone.

  • ITunes 10.5 hangs during iPhone 4 sync

Just installed iTunes 10.5 and attempted to sync iPhone 4/4.3.5 several times. The process hangs while "Backing up" with the status bar right under the t in (Step 1 of 5). I've swiped the phone to cancel, which leaves iTunes continuing on as if the phone were still syncing. I used Task Manager to quit iTunes on Win Vista, restarted iTunes and attempted to sync again. Hangs in the same place. So, I restarted the computer, restarted iTunes and it's still hanging during Backing up...  I am so frustrated! Help!!!

    I've two Windows 7 64 bit desktops.
On the one I've always used which has all my backups, apps, music etc etc I'm having the same problem and I've tried everything including above suggestion, removing and reinstalling, New download, stopping processes using MSCONFIG and Autoruns all to no avail.
On the scond PC it's all working perfectly but I've no backups, apps, data, music or data.
    Not happy.

  • PC and iTunes no longer recognize my iPhone 4?

Hoping someone can help as I'm completely at a loss and super frustrated.
My PC & iTunes no longer "see" my iPhone 4 when I connect it to my computer. I've tried all my USB ports- they all charge my phone, but it does not show up in device manager, etc. I have also tried updating iTunes, reinstalling iTunes, restarting my iPhone, completely charging iPhone before plugging in, restarting my computer a billion times, and making sure it is not conflicting with any security software. I've also gone into MSconfig and followed these directions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1275. Nothing has worked.
I am running Windows XP Media 2002 SP2. I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3. I connected my phone to my computer back in January before updating to 6.1.3 and computer recognized phone just fine. Have not tried to plug in since, but now I really would like to pull the pictures off my phone and start fresh.. But can't.
    Help?

Have you tried connecting the phone to another computer? You can try to connect to another computer that has iTunes connected. Make sure that computer does not have iTunes set to automatically sync. After that, you should be able to import your pictures from the Camera Roll via the Scanner and Camera Wizard for older versions of Windows, or via the Import manager in the newer versions of Windows.
Have you checked to make sure your Windows is up to date? Is SP2 the latest update for that version of XP? While you say that you did connect to the computer some time in the past, the tech specs for the iPhone 4 show that Windows XP needs to be SP3.

  • ITunes no longer "sees" my iPhone 4

I just upgraded iTunes to 11.1.4.62 (latest version) on Windows 8.1.  Since doing this, iTunes does not "see" my iPhone 4.
    I've tried the following:
    - signing out and signing back in to iTunes
    - deauthorizing all computers and reauthorizing the PC I'm working on
    - uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes
    - shutting down and restarting my PC
    - shutting down and restarting my iPhone 4
iTunes does not "see" my iPhone automatically or if I launch iTunes and then connect my iPhone.
    Any thoughts?
    Thank you,
    Jeff

  • ITunes no longer recognizes my iPhone 4

I have had 3 iOS devices connecting to iTunes on Windows for more than 4 months.  For some reason iTunes no longer recognizes my iPhone 4.  My iPad and iPhone 4S still work as they should.  Windows sees the iPhone 4, but it never shows up in iTunes.  I followed the advice for getting services restarted in Windows, but since it's only one device that's an issue I'm thinking there may be an issue in the iPhone 4.  Ideas?

try this, it worked for me...

  • Itunes syncing unticked songs to iphone

    Hi,
I've just updated to itunes 11.1 and my iphone 4S to ios 7. I've unticked a load of songs and albums in my itunes, but the unticked songs still appear on my iphone.
In the Summary tab I have "Sync only ticked songs and videos," and in the music tab I have "selected playlists, artists and genres" and "Automatically fill free space with songs" ticked.
Can someone please tell me where I'm going wrong?

    Hi sawpaw,
One of the new features of iOS 7 is the ability to show all of your purchases in your Music Library.
Click on the link below to see page 62 of the iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
You can change the Settings > iTunes & App Store to turn this feature off for Music
