Win 8.1 Pro Key Problem or not ?

Okay so i just brought a new computer
with win 8.1 pro
Installed windows when it asked for the key i tried to type the numbers that where on the blue folder thingy i had win8 cd in
an it wouldent let me use the number 0 so i couldent do any thing.......
so i said skip to the key thingy an after a while when the computer was done installing an i finaly was in windows
i had a look an now it suddenly says its activated ? how can it activate it self with a key i havent given it ?
Also the key in the end says AAOEM what does that mean ?

Have you compared the product ID in the machine with the key you owned ?
To check the product ID:
Right click the start screen and choose "System".

It shows us that the product key is a OEM key. OEM activation does not require the user`s actions and the key should only be used to activate this specific machine.

Registration in now done online, If there was an issue then you would get a windows notification telling you to call and register.
Newwe machines did not come with a COA sticker and the Product key is located in the BIOS (do not mess around in there) If you truly need it then I will happily tell you how to get it but resintallation is done almost automatically when you go online.

Audigy 4 Pro microphone problems in Win 7 64-bit

Hi there,
Since I put my Audigy 4 Pro card into my newer PC with Win 7 64-bit the microphone only seems to work when it wants to, or works but sounds messed up.
I've waited a while before posting about this because I thought the newer drivers would sort out the problem, but it remains the same.
The card/microphone works without a problem if I put it in a PC with Win XP.
Sometimes the microphone will not pick up any sound at all. Other times it will work, but only for? game, say Heroes of Newerth. Then in Windows using teamspeak, people describe the sound like I'm talking through a fan. Tried using the in-game VOIP but I get the same result.
After a restart or just some random day, people in Heroes of Newerth would discribe the VOIP from my side as if I was talking under water(or through a fan), but then it would work fine for teamspeak or Bad Company 2 or any other game. I used these 2 games as an example since its what I'm playing mostly at the moment.
There doesnt seem to be any consistancy with the problem.
I have recently removed the sound card from my PC and now forced to use the onboard sound that reminds me of the sound of a clockradio.
My PC specs are:
Asus Rampage Formula Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz E8400
8GB RAM
4 x WD Raptor HDD Stripe RAID
ATi Radeon 4870 52MB
Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro?(model number shown?is SB0290)
Using?a Sennheiser PC350 Headset.
What I have tried my side so far:
Tried latest and older drivers for Win 7 64-bit
Reinstalled Windows 7 several times with different drivers.
Tried disabling all devices except for line/mic
Tried other input devices.
Tried with different audio and sound codecs, tried without any.
Might have been or 2 other things I tried I cannot think of now.
Is there anyone that experienced similar problems and got it fixed? Any help would be appreciated.

Can you be more specific about which steps were not recorded?
There some things that will not be recorded. The release notes list some known issues.
Known Issues:
Tutorial Builder can only capture actions in Photoshop that are recorded by the ScriptListener plug-in. While this includes most of Photoshop's functionality, some features/tools are not recorded. In particular, brushing actions are not captured. We hope to address this in future releases of Tutorial Builder.
Some of the the actions that Tutorial Builder captures are not yet instrumented to produce detailed text instructions in the final tutorial. For such actions, the generated tutorial will include a step that says "The (action name) is not yet supported by Tutorial Builder," and the tutorial author will have to edit the HTML to provide more descriptive text. Note that the "Show me in Photoshop" link is still generated for such actions.
Some Photoshop actions allow the user to specify a set of parameters in multiple ways, but Tutorial Builder cannot detect how the user specified those settings during the recorded demonstration. Thus, the text in the generated tutorial may not describe exactly what was demonstrated. For example, in the Image > Adjustments > Levels tool dialog box, you can update the parameters using three different eye droppers. Since Tutorial Builder does not know which (if any) of these eye droppers were used, the text for a Levels adjustment does not describe exactly how the settings are specified. Again, the tutorial author can simply edit the HTML to provide a more accurate description.

My HP ProBook 440 G2, Finger print reader not working when I upgraded form Win 7 Pro to Win 8.1 Pro.
In device manager showing that biometric reader is working properly. But actually the finger printer reader is not reading or senseing. It seems like "dummy" part. Please help me to correctly configure step by step for this issue.

I have a macbook pro with OSX Mavericks 10.9.5 and some keys that are not working. Specifically, the enter/return button, the "p", "0", ";", and all the function keys. What's really weird is that happens randomly. I've never spilled anything on it

I don't know if this will help someone but I am posting this for that purpose. In the past when I first had this problem, I'd read a post somewhere (sorry, long ago, don't have the link) where an individual was having the same problem and they stated that when the MBP got heated, that's when the keys would stop working, and they went into the MBP and jiggle some stuff around (a specific wire, I'm not electronically inclined so I know NOT of what they spake!). Well I didn't want to do that but it always stuck in the back of my mind. I had given up, really, and was planning to take my MBP to the apple store. But by chance one night I left my MBP on the floor where it's cool, and when I turned it on, the problem went - poof! It seems there was some validity to the post that spoke about heat, because my problems started when I would stream foreign dramas on my MBP for hours at night, and I would hear the fan going off all the time, and in the mornings, my "p", "enter", "0", ";", and all the function keys would stop working.
So, maybe try keeping the MBP in a cool place when it's off. Since I've started doing this overnight every night (keeping it on the cool floor, out of reach of any big feet), I have not had a single problem with my keyboard.
Hopefully this might help someone.

Pro Key is not accepted

I installed Quicktime player 7.whatever. I paid for the Pro key. I never got an email, but I went back and got the key on the website.
I copied and pasted both the name and the key. There was no organization info so I left that field blank. I have done this several times. I am not a neophyte.
The registration box says the key or name is invalid. I find no way in "support" to email or call anyone. This is ridiculous.

Make sure you're entering in both the user name and key code exactly as in the email Apple sent you. Any error in either, including leaving off a salutation (for instance, if the email says "Mr. John Smith") will cause the registration to error. If you continue to have problems, use the form at the bottom of this web page (found under the Customer Service link on the Apple Store site, under Post Purchase).
BTW, we're all just your fellow users here. None of us work for Apple, so posting personal information such as order numbers won't help and may be risky.

QuickTime 7 Pro Key Does Not Work

Apple Store sent me a QT Pro "key" and link to on-line instructions. Nothing works. My System Preferences QuickTime dialog/panel does not have an OK button (or a Register button). It's a dead-end dialog. Email reply to my plea for help from Apple Support said I cannot use the QT 7 Pro key on a Mac with OS X 10.3.9 and QuickTime 7.0.3. Said to reinstall 7.0.1 (downgrading from 7.0.3), which I have done, to no avail. Next, I'm supposed to reinstall QuickTime 6.... MEANWHILE, on an Apple QuickTime Web page, it says that QuickTime 7 Pro REQUIRES QuickTime 7. The Apple Support email also suggested that I cannot use QT 7 Pro unless I have OS X Tiger. The email seems fat fetched, but the on-line info doesn't help either. What do I have to do to get QuickTime 7 Pro running? I've paid in full for the privilege. Thanks.

Before I went to the Apple online store to buy QuickTime Pro, I already had QT 7.0.3 on my Mac OS X, 10.3.9, system. I paid for QT 7 Pro and got the "key"/registration email from Apple. The email included a link to online installation instructions which do, in fact, tell me to click OK in the System Preferences QuickTime panel (though there is no OK button). Only one is an application, QuickTime Player v. 7.0.1, No QuickTime Pro. [FYI, though I had QT 7.0.3 on my Mac, the Apple support email told me to "reinstall" 7.0.1, which I did. Go figure both Apple support and Netflixs support "have never seen a problem quite like mine" the same day my free trial has ended. And no the, problem is not with my Netflixs account because they charged my debit card just fine. I'm trying to play instant movies on my netflixs account and every time I click on a movie or show it just shows up a black screen with no play controls. According to Netflixs I'm either missing a peice of software or I need to uninstall and reinstall a program or plug-in or something. At first they thought it was Microsoft Silverlight, but I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling that several times and nothing has changed, plus since I had no play controls as well the problem is definetly not Silverlight. So I was wondering what other types of software or plug-ins are needed to play Netflixs movies or if anyones else has had the same issue and knew how to fix it. And I know that it is a problem with my Macbook Pro, because my netflixs accout still works on my sister's computers. I've tried restarting my computer, restarting Firefox, signing out and back in on Netflixs, praying to God, clearing my cookies and chache, saying nice things to my laptop, yelling at my laptop, and pretty much everything under the sun. Nothing I do is fixing it. Please someone help me figure this out.

I solved this problem tonight. I have a MacBook Pro with 10.5.8. I know, it's old. But I love my Netflix and I recently noticed that Firefox plays Netflix much better. Then I suddenly got this message that I needed to download the latest Silverlight - it only takes 30 seconds! - WRONG. However, after much searching, I finally did the steps in order and it worked.
This was after repeatedly downloading Silverlight from the Netflix site without success. So here's what I did:
1. Went to http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx
2. Followed the directions. I felt like such an idiot for not doing it right before.
3. Go to your hard drive and search for "Silverlight" to locate ANY existing Silverlight files: .dmg, etc.
[also check your Libary/ Internet Plug-ins, but the above search is faster]
4. Drag it all to the trash and empty it.
5. Go back to the Get Silverlight page and click on the Install on that page, not the Netflix site.
6. Note the steps for Safari or Mozilla Firefox - I wanted Firefox, so I follwed those instructions.
7. Once it's installed, close all the browsers and Restart that bad boy. Right away.
8. Open a browser, go to Netflix and proceed to joyfully rot your brain with Netflix content. Yay!

If these do not resolve the issue or if you are not comfortable with proceeding through these steps then take your Mac to an Apple store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. An Apple store will perform these initial steps, diagnose the problem, and give an estimate for repairs (if needed). If the Mac is less than one year old or is covered by AppleCare any repairs would be free.

Yoga 2 Pro - Hyper-V not working right on Win 8.1 Pro

I wiped my Yoga 2 Pro and loaded Win 8.1 Pro, with all Lenovo drivers installed. I also enabled Hyper-V in the BIOS. However, I keep running into this issue as seen in the System event log:
"The speed of Hyper-V logical processor 2 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report."
I see one of these message for each of the four logical processors. Any ideas on what the issue is? Thanks.

I did try removig the Lenovo energy management software, but that didn't work. I also then reinstalled and tried setting it to Performance mode. However, I didn't look for a Windows power mgmt solution.
What's weird is that after I powered down and used the Novo button to check the BIOS version (just to confirm what I said earlier), when I restarted Windows again I did not see the Hyper-V error message. I haven't restarted again, but will check again tomorrow morning when Windows starts again.

I'm testing 32bit software that will run in 7-64 Pro but will not in win 7 home premium or vista.
The 7-64 Pro machine is NOT running the program in XP mode although is is being run as admin. The 7 home premium and vista beta testers have tried every work around/mode, admin mode, and anti-virus exception. I've run process explorer & WinMerge to evaluate
the differences between os operations & dlls loaded but am unable to find the OS issue.
Currently 2-win7-64 machines, 1 vista machine and 1 win 7 machine had no issues with the program as it started up and ran immediately.
After 3 beta's 30 hours of testing & 50 of my own, I believe I've narrowed the issue down to the win 7 home premium and vista os's.
Can anyone here suggest other ways to further narrow it down so as to provide functionality on all 3 os's?

Win 7 pro 64 bit does not work nice with tv tuners

my win 7 pro 64 bit will not work with three recommened tv tuners, though not specific to 64 bit . I know one works great withmy old 32 bit xp system. all three different recommended tuners crashed my system three times amd informed me the flash player that comes in the software is not compatable with my system. also flash player stand along in my system will not work right all the time. worked so well in my old system? any thoughts on this dilemma. really do not want to return my new diamond tv wonder hd 750 card. otherwise this system blazes very appy with it, thanks.
