Win 8/8.1 - used tiles keep selected

Hi,
My HP notebook is the 8470w.
I've recently found this issue and even after 2 clean installations of win8 and 8.1 upgrade, during its updates, I kept getting the same problem: when I start an app/program the related tiles keep selected (as in the picture) as well as other menu settings.
Any of you had the same isse and/or know how to fix it?
(Which OS would you recommend for this laptop between w7 and w8/8.1?)

configure a Win 2003 Server to use TLS server authentication following Method 2 in KB 895443 - see below:-
Method 2: By using the Certificate Request Wizard
The following steps describe how to obtain a certificate from a Windows Server 2003 Certification Authority. You can also request a certificate from a Windows 2000
Certification Authority. Additionally, you must have Read permissions and Enroll permissions on the certificate template file to successfully request a certificate. Use this method if one or more of the following conditions are true:
You want to request a certificate from an Enterprise Certification Authority.
You want to request a certificate that is based on a template where the subject name is generated by Windows.
You want to obtain a certificate that does not require administrator approval before the certificate is issued.
To obtain a certificate, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type mmc, and then click OK.
On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
Click Add, click Certificates, and then click Add.
Click Computer account, and then click Next.
If you want to add a certificate to the local computer, click Local computer. If you want to add a certificate to a remote computer, click Another
computer, and then type the name of that remote computer in the Another computer box.
Click Finish.
In the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box, click Close, and then click OK in the Add/Remove
Snap-in dialog box.
Under Console Root, click Certificates (Local Computer).

I get as far as step 11 and I get the error message:-

- You do not have the permissions to request certificates from the available CAs.
- The available CAs issue certificates for which you do not have permissions.

To resolve the problem, follow these steps:
Verify that the CERTSVC_DCOM_ACCESS group exists in the domain that hosts the certification authority. This group is in the CN=Users container.
To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run,

In the left pane, click the Users container.
Verify that the CERTSVC_DCOM_ACCESS group is in the right
pane. If the CERTSVC_DCOM_ACCESS group is not in the right pane, go to step 4.

The only part of the above instructions which I have not been able to complete is:-
“you must also add the Enterprise Domain Controllers group to the CERTSVC_DCOM_ACCESS group”.
When I click on the CERTSVC_DCOM_ACCESS user then click the Members tab & go to add Enterprise Domain Controllers the option is not there.

If yes, is the enterprise CA’s certificate located under the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store?

GPO - Restricts the UI languages Windows should use for the selected user - not applying correctly on RDS 2012 R2

Hi All,
we have a Citrix XenApp 7.5 Farm with Windows Server 2012 R2 Servers and multiple (english, german, italian, spanish, french...) languages installed.
I've created a GPO with settings 'Restricts the UI languages Windows should use for the selected user' to for example 'German'.
Now when a user logs on to the server, the UI language is in german, but when i open Control Panel\Language: There is still English (United States) with Keyboard Layout: US, German.
It seems that the GPO is not changing all settings correctly to german.
Does anybody know what could be wrong?

Based on the description, the policy setting should have been applied successfully. Here, did we logged onto the server via remote desktop services? If yes, what's the keyboard layout on the computer we used to RDP to the server? Before going further,
I assume that this can be caused by Auto detect Remote Keyboard layout feature introduced since Windows Server 2008.

Use Javascript to select artwork on a particular artboard?

Is there a way to use Javascript to select all artwork on a particular artboard?
Or if you couldn't designate the selection based on the artboard index, another way i could see doing it would be to select all artwork within a bounding box? For example if i were to measure the artboardRect of an artboard and then set the selection to all pageItems within that bounding box?

awesome. i'll keep that one for my records. for my purposes right now, the selection by active artboard function is perfect. now i just need to work out how to loop through each pathItem within that selection and determine if it contains a certain spot color (and if it does, add to a counter of some sort) and verify that the number of occurrences of that spot color equal the total number of arboards in the doc (that is to say.. verify that a certain spot color exists at least once on every artboard).
so i assure you i'll be back to soak up as much of your experience and knowledge as i can get my grubby paws on. =)

I add the keyword 'sync' to any photos I want added to the iPhone/iPad.
Then, during the regular process of syncing the iPhone/iPad with my computer (mac), the photos with that keyword would be copied onto the iPhone, iPad.
I've been doing it this way ever since I was shown how to; ie after I got my iPhone 2 years ago. And every time the process worked - until the last few weeks. Suddenly it doesn't do it any more.
I believe I have upgraded software (either iTunes or iPhoto or both) during this period. I try to keep my software updated but have noticed previously that the new version often is disappointing.
I've not tended to use Smart albums much.

Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems?

I have a dynamic form with many subforms, and I am having trouble getting certain subforms which function as headers to stay on the same page as their body subforms when they are flowed. I tried using the "Keep with Next" property in the GUI for the header subform, but that seems to pertain to content areas, which I am not using, and does not work for me... it elicits strange behavior from some of the subforms where they are completely rearranged at runtime or when I click the "next" button in design.
I was excited to find that you can specify to keep a subform with the next object using javascript through the "subform.keep.next = 'pageArea'" syntax... but I can' t get that to work either.
It seems that the scripting modules are only triggered by events, so under what event do I put my script to specify this property?
I can't post the form itself, because it contains some proprietary info from my company, but I'll try to describe what going on in the form below:
The form is saved as a dynamic form, is set to run in Adobe 7.0.5 or later, and the text formatting and event model are set to version 7. My LiveCycle version is 8.2.1.
I have many categories of options which users can pick from on my form. Each category has a subform with a text header and a drop-down list of "yes" or "no", and then another main subform or two that contain the actual options. If they don't wish to use any options form a particular category, the user can pick "no" from the drop-down in the header subform and the next subform(s) containing the options for that category is hidden. Of course, once one subform is hidden, the subforms coming after move up and the pagination changes.
The layout looks like this:

          >Subform1_Header (positioned)
          >Subform1_Body (flowed, so that internal subforms can be split across pages)
               >Subform1a_BodyOptions (positioned)

This hiding/showing works fine when all of the categories are visible, but when one or more is hidden and the next subforms move up, the header subforms are often set as the last thing on a page, with their options, which are much longer, being pushed to the next page. I want to always make sure that no matter how the subforms are flowed, the header stays with its options on the same page. I tried putting the above script to keep with next on the exit event of the drop-down list, which is what triggers the hiding on the subforms, but I don't see any results.
I am not using content areas because I am not using master pages... my subforms are all totally different sizes, so I don't know how to make a master page to fit all. Right now I just have a flowed regular page object containing my subforms for each page on the form that exists when all of the subforms are showing. I don't know if maybe my problem is that I'm not using the page objects or master pages as I should? Ideally this layout should just be one long page-break-less list of subforms that paginate dynamically depending on what sets of options the user wants, but I can't figure out how to make this work.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

The thing is, the objects in my body subforms are all static themselves... the expanding doesn't happen when a user types in too much information to fit in the subform. It's hiding/showing of the subforms which make other subforms move up or down
I have tried using the "keep with next" option as you have done for the second header/subform combo. Try using it on the subform called "sub13ExportOptionsHeader" in my sample, under page 4. For me, when I select this the whole subform jumps down so that it is located between sub14a_sec2 and sub14a_sec3 in the layout.
I had previously tried using these options on an earlier version of the form and had no problems like this at desgin time, when I previewed in LiveCycle, or when I tested it in Acrobat 9. However, when I tested the form in Acrobat 8, I had similar issues... when certain subforms were hidden, some of the still visible subforms were rearranged so that they were not in the correct order anymore. I never truly resolved this issue; the only thing that fixed it was to have neither Keep With Previous or Keep With Next selected for every subform.

Trackpad keeps selecting, anyone an idea how to fix this?

The trackpad of my macbookair (2012) keeps selecting. On the screen appear squares and while using applications it keeps selecting...
the problem started suddenly, while I was working in Word, no clear cause...

Check your battery's condition. An aging battery can fail in a manner causing it to swell, exerting pressure on the trackpad from underneath.

I changed the white portion of 1 label to black - - this can be any color. To do this use the magic wand tool, tolerance=10 worked for me, then go to Edit>fill selection.

UPDATE: I had 36 Safari windows open and minimized on the dock from my last session; 20 of those windows failed to open b/c Safari "couldn't find the server"; I just went to the URL bar of all 20 pages and clicked return, and all 20 pages loaded perfectly, without dropping any images or losing formatting. This is a puzzle!!!

by using it we can satisfy u r reuqirement.follow the below steps.
1)Go to SQ01
2)In the screen click on QuickViewer option.then you will go to another screen.
3)In that screen give any name starting with 'Z' in the QuickView box and then click on create.
4)In the dialogbox enter title and comments and then select LogicalDatabase as the DATASOURCE and give DataSourceLogicalDatabase as EQI.check the radio button Basis Mode and then click on ok.
5)then on the screen in the first half of leftside you will get another screen with the columns DATAFIELDS,LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS,TECHNICALNAME.
6)In the DATAFIELDS column expand the tree,then u can see the fields what we have,and what you want.and also you can see the check boxes in front of the columns LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS.
7)LISTFIELDS means the output fields,SELECTIONFIELDS means the selection screen fields(equnr).
check the checkboxes as per u r requirement and click on execute.
8)then a progam will be created.to know the program name after executing the program GO TO
SYSTEM->STATUS.then u can see the program name there.

Using procedure in SELECT statement

I have a select statement that currently uses 4 functions to receive necessary values. All the functions are recursive and returns values from the same row.
What I would like to do is replace these for function calls with 1 procedure. Does anybody know if it possible to use a procedure in this way inside a select statement?
If so, do you have the syntax for doing this?
E.g
SELECT
Mdbrd_Pkg.calculate_fixed_charge_fn(in_rc_id, ap.CONFIGSET_ID) AS FIXED_CHARGE,
Mdbrd_Pkg.calculate_charge_rate_fn(in_rc_id, ap.CONFIGSET_ID) AS CHARGE_RATE,
Mdbrd_Pkg.tax_liable_fn(in_rc_id, ap.CONFIGSET_ID) AS TAX_LIABLE,
Mdbrd_Pkg.charge_unit_fn( in_rc_id, ap.CONFIGSET_ID) AS CHARGEUNIT_ID
FROM .....

This cannot be done. The part of the function used in the SELECT statement is the return value: procedures don't have return values (that's what makes tham procedures and not functions).
Obviously I don't know what your code does, but you should consider putting them into a single function that returns a TYPE with four attributes and then using the TABLE() function to cast them into something you could reference in the FROM clause of a correlated sub-query. Sounds a bit messy though.
Do these functions actually select data? Where does the recursion fit in?
