Win 98 SE drivers

Hello Everyone
Sorry if this is an old problem.  I am trying to get the MSI nforce motherboard to work under win98SE.  I am tryign to do this for a couple of reasons.  I have a couple of old DOS and win 95 games that i still like to play from time to time (i am an old soul!!!).  To cut a long story short, i tried to download the Win98 drivers from MSI but when they arrived they refused to install because they said they were for ME only.  Does anyone know where i can find the 98 drivers?
If you do could you please post a link or email to [email protected]
Thanks
Brendan

Thanks
I actually found the nvidia drivers under my own stream (about 5 minutes after I made my post) but the assistance is appreciated.
The WinSE drivers are working beautifully.  Havent had any problems with the graphics yet but it is still early days... (I am hoping that having a clean, clean install will keep the bed bugs out!!!)
Brendan
PS This is a true bare bones system.  There is nothing added.  Even this internet is routed from another PC. (What a waste of 5 PCI slots and AGP).  If they integrate the CPU and RAM onto the board.....

Is the 5521gw card working on Win 8 x64? Do I need the beta driver or do we have to install the Win 7 version?

  • Satellite M70-350 - Win 7 drivers needed

    Hi,
I've installed Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite M70-350, yet I'm facing some troubles with the drivers.
Can anyone guide me to the correct drivers for the windows 7 32-bit?

    Hi mate
Satellite M70 is not Win 7 supported.
This means that Win 7 drivers are not available for Satellite M70 series.
You can find the Vista and Win XP drivers for the M70.
But dont worry about that. Some vista drivers are compatible with Win 7 and could be installed too.
Furthermore you could check Win 7 drivers which are released for other Satellite notebooks
For example Satellite L500 or other A series
The touchpad drivers, WLan drivers, LAN drivers, Bluetooth, Flash Cards Support Utility, and Sound Driver are not notebook series specific.
So you could use it on notebook with the same hardware.

  • Availability of Win 10 Drivers for *Current* and *New* Systems

I was wondering if there is any timeframe for posting Windows 10 drives for *Current* and *New* Systems. I notice that there are only like 3 drivers posted so far for the X360 laptops. Even the brand new models which come with Windows 10 preinstalled still have only a smattering of drivers posted. Obviously the drivers exist since the system ships with them installed, why can't they be posted for download? I can understand driver availability taking some time for systems that didn't ship with Win 10, but for those systems that ship with Win 10 already loaded shouldn't those drivers be available to your customers on the the very first day of product shipment? In case you are wondering why it matters if it comes preinstalled already, it's because I plan on doing new, clean install of Win 10 Professional. Your systems are shipping with the Home edition. I have an X360 that is still being sold and shipping with 8.1. I would walk into Best Buy today and buy another one that comes with Windows 10, but won't do that until drivers are available so I can do a clean install. Thanks.

  • Re: Win XP drivers for Satellite C660 needed

    cheers toshiba community,
first off this notebook is my first contact with toshiba. browsing the site/forum is a pain!
Reminds me of browsing via isdn times...
As you might guess i dont like win 7 very much, maybe because i dont understand why it is that uncomfortable and needs to garbage the hd that much.
Its stable and working but doesnt satisfy me when it comes to customization and transparency.
So im about to replace it with win xp (or archlinux).
Before starting having the needed drivers is essential and that's where im stuck right now.
One could hope the xp internal drivers will budge or make sure the needed packages are already there. definitely i prefer the 2nd.
Link: [toshiba download center search|http://www.pictureupload.de/originals/pictures/100112101116_Treiber_herunterladen_-_Toshiba.png] came up with 4 results, *only network drivers are officially available for win xp*...
    graphics driver aint a problem.
*the question is where to get the others?* webcam, audio, touchpad, etc
*will xp standard drivers offer basic functionality?*
*or is there a basic 'source' on this forum im not aware of?*
*or maybe theres a toshiba app dealing with that problem?*
*or even worse doesnt toshiba provide builds for xp?*
i wont believe toshiba forces to use win7.
Any infos/sources would be helpful and are greatly appreciated!
Any complaints on prefering xp over win7 are off topic and subjective.
Btw it seems to be a important needed info: recovery medias were created

    Hi
I visited the Toshiba European driver page and was able to find the Win XP drivers for the Satellite C660 as you can see on the screenshot.
    <img src='http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3808/captureqbo.png' border='0' width=530px/>
Unfortunately its not a driver package so you will need to download the single drivers step by step

  • Re: Satellite C75-A-10W - - Where to get Win 7 drivers

    Hello,
I recently ordered a Toshiba Satellite C75-A-10W and i installed Windows7 64bit operating system on it. I noticed that i miss a lot of drivers so I decided to look them up on the official website.
I entered Toshiba Romania, filled in the blanks until ''Operating system'' - there i could only select windows 8 and OS independent if i wanted to look up for drivers.
What should i do? Can you help me, please?
Where can i find Windows7 drivers? Can I use win8 drivers on my win7?
I really need some help finding these drivers.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi
The Satellite C75-A-10W is new series on the market released with Win 8 system
I assume that Win 7 drivers are not available yet. As far as I know Win 8.1 is a new candidate and possible the next bunch of drivers would be released for Win 8.1
Lets see if Win 7 driver would be released for these new notebook series.
In your case I recommend searching for single drivers at your own hand.
Use the mini PCI database to get details about the parts and devices built in the notebook as described here: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm
You can also check some Win 7 drivers released for other, older Toshiba notebook series.
In cases the built in parts are the same, the driver should be compatible.

  • MS-6367 USB and Win 2000 drivers

Hi, can someone point me in the right direction here.
I have an NEC Powermate XL4 which has an MS-6367 (MSI) NOVA motherboard. I bought it with Win XP Home and the original NEC CD which contains XP drivers.
I recently installed Windows 2000 Professional and loaded the nforce drivers from the Nvidia website which seems to have installed OK. I'm having problems with a USB2 pci card as the external hard drive attached to it seems to be losing power (although it has an external power source) when transferring large files. It seems to work ok on the inbuilt USB1 ports though.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with USB in general on this PC, as it seems to be using standard Win 2000 USB drivers -I can't seem to locate Win 2000 drivers for this motherboard. I'm a bit confused with the USB information in device manager. I have the following listed:
Standard OpenHCD PCI to USB Host Controller
Standard OpenHCD PCI to USB Host Controller
    USB 2.0 Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
VIA PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller
    VIA USB Universal Host Controller
    VIA USB Universal Host Controller
This is how it looks with 4 inbuilt USB ports and the PCI Card which has 3 external and 1 internal USB2 ports (an Innovision DM8007). Does this look correct?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Thanks,
Sorry, I meant to say is that I could not find any Win 2000 drivers for the motherboard and that the Nvidia drivers were all I could find and install which seem to only relate to the video, sound and onboard network controller.
The USB card does come with drivers, but I was thinking that there maybe something wrong with the way the motherboard is operating and that maybe I'm missing specific Win2k drivers for this particular motherboard.
I'm about to test a newer driver for the PCI card to see if that sorts it out.
    Thanks
    Dan

  • Need Win XP Drivers for Satellite A100 bought in Malaysia

    Hi All,
I bought this A100 (PSAAKL-00E002) in Malaysia. Below are the specs
    * Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2060
    (1.73GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
    * Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic
    * 512MB DDR2 SDRAM
    * 80GB Serial-ATA HDD
    * DVD SuperMulti Double Layer Drive (DVDRW/RAM)
    * 15.4" WXGA TFT display
    * ATI Radeon Xpress 200M, up to 128MB shared VRAM
    * Integrated Wireless 802.11b/g
    * 56Kbps Modem
    * 10/100Mbps Ethernet
and upgrade to 1GB Mb RAM currently.
I occasionally get BSOD in Vista Basic. Not that frequent but occasionally BSOD. I felt the new Vista is kinda sensitive to any drivers changes. Eg. screnario: I bought a new mouse, plug it and it will start installing the itself. After installing the mouse drivers, i went to control panel->mouse to change some settings.... well.... BSOD... :(
So i decided to downgrade to Win XP Pro instead. I manage to get everything installed except the graphics card drivers: ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.
I tried to download from all the Toshiba website but none of them is working. I even tried to download from ATI website itself. Everytime i try to install the drivers it prompts me, missing "INF".
For VISTA here is the list of drivers and application that need to be installed
    Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment
ATI UMA Chipset Software and Display Driver
    Realtek ALC861 Audio Driver
    Synaptics TouchPad Driver
    Realtek Wired LAN Driver
    ENE1410 Cardbus driver
    TOSHIBA Software Modem
    Atheros 802.WireLess Lan Driver
Toshiba Extended Tiles for Windows Mobility Center
    TOSHIBA Value Added Package
    TOSHIBA Hardware Setup
    TOSHIBA Supervisor Password
    TOSHIBA Assist
    TOSHIBA ConfigFree
    CD/DVD Acoustic Silencer
I manage to install all the mention above in XP except for "ATI UMA Chipset Software and Display Driver"
Now I'm not sure that the missing "inf" is referring to the chipset or display driver
Anyone have any idea where i can download a compatible graphic drivers for Win XP PRO?

yupe..i'm facing the same problem. it is not BSOD but it is freeze and halted. You can try to remove one additional ram. It will work fine in single 512MB RAM. I tried single 1GB ram, it will halt in vista too. i had post the message, but i can't found the message anymore in my history message now. someone is reply me but my post is missing now?? :(. help!
I think it will be a known issue in future.:0

  • Windows 7 and network printing with printers with "built-in" win 7 drivers

I'm trying to get network printing (i.e. printing to a printer not attached to the
    PC) working.
This works fine for newer printers that have a specific, new Win-7 64-bit driver
written for them, but I can't get it to work for any printers (generally older printers) that just
use a driver that supposedly "comes with" Windows 7.
The problem is, the Windows 7 "Add a Printer" wizard does not automatically find  the driver
for these older printers (like the DeskJet 950c or LaserJet 4300n) and so it wants you
to specify the .inf file for the driver package. This is fine when HP supplies a downloadable
driver package, but for these older printers, they do not. Instead HP just says "no
download is needed because the driver is included in the operating system"  and to just
plug in the printer (via USB or serial cable) and the OS will autodetect it and set up the right
driver. Unfortunately this plug-and-play solution does not work when you're trying to set up
a PC to print over the network.
What can be done? Is there a generic driver package that one can download so as to
satisfy Windows 7's need for an .inf file?
    Thank you very much,
    -Chris

When the printer list comes up click on the "Windows Update" box in the lower right.  This will update the list of drivers available and will likely take several minutes.  Once the update has been done the available drivers will show up.

(Bloodrage's Sonar X-Fi oem Win 7 drivers6 Hi guys, I've looked everywhere and I just can't find the sonar x-fi motherboard drivers that will let me use this oem card that comes bundled with Foxconn's Bloodrage motherboard. I have windows 7 pro x64 and the vista drivers that Foxconn's site has won't work. I keep getting a "Can not find product associated with this driver" (or along those line) error every time I try and open anything related to it.
I contacted Foxconn support and got the run around and eventually ended up with a "We're working on it so we're sorry" responce. I tried with xp drivers and vista (uninstalling normally then cleaning it up with driver sweeper) to no avail. I have the product key for my sound card but just I need working drivers.

  • Win XP Drivers Not Working - Last Resort - Please Help

Okay, I have searched and searched this forum and Google for 3 days to find a similar problem to mine but I just can't find one, so I am resorting to posting myself.
I have a new 2.53 GHz Macbook Pro 15inch that I recently installed Windows XP Professional on. I used Bootcamp.
Now, when I try to install and run programs on it it says I have no video card/sound card. I installed the right NVIDIA driver and so that seems to work ok.
Now it is telling me that I have no sound card.
I checked "About this mac" and found it's not a card but an internal HD Audio.
I downloaded the RealTek drivers for this and installed it but in Windows it doesn't show up in the device manager - but it does show up in add/remove programs that I have the RealTek Audio Driver package.
I then got wise to the BootCamp update .exe's and downloaded the 3.1 Update 32Bit for Win XP. This exe says I don't have the right version of BootCamp on the Windows - but in the "About Bootcamp" window on my Mac it says I have version 3.0.1 which is what I am supposed to have.
Oh - more info on this is that I have SP2 XP Professional and since I installed Windows XP I haven't been able to find anything about BootCamp in the Windows world - am I supposed to use BootCamp on Windows?
Sorry - I'm not Windows or BootCamp savy - I am extremely frustrated because I need this for my work and no-one is savy enough to help me with it here.
Thanks for anyone's time who wishes to help me!! I appreciate it!!

What you need are proper drivers for the Mac hardware. Those are on the gray disks that came with your Mac. Boot into Windows and insert the first installation DVD. The typical Windows message will pop up asking what you want to do with the disk. Select "Run Setup".

  • Win xp drivers

I just bought an H215 Lenovo desktop with win 7 preinstalled. I installed another hard drive (disconnected the one that came with the system) and installed win xp pro. I downloaded the drivers from Lenovo support site for xp and am not able to install the chipset or the video drivers. I get the error " This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software". Does anyone have any idea what is required for me to install the drivers? Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I solved the problem by downloading and installing the ATI chipset drivers. This question is now solved and should be closed.

  • Problems with Win 7 drivers

I am running a Win 7 Pro (32-bit) partition with Bootcamp 2.2 and am unable to find any sound drivers, which is strange because this is actually a reinstall of the Win 7 OS. In my previous install I was able to get sound drivers despite the Bootcamp setup failing to run from the Leopard install disk when in the freshly made windows partition.
I have tried to install the drivers which come on the orig leopard install disk (both realtech and Sigmatel drivers in both XP and Vista compatibility mode)but both have "failed to install." I have also tried to find drivers directly from RealTech's website but have not had any success.
I think that the sound drivers magically appeared after about a month the first time I installed Win 7, a few weeks after its official release, because I had sound back then.
So, my question is... how do I get sound back?!
Has someone come up with a magical konami code that activates it or do I just have to upgrade to Snow leopard for Boot camp 3.x?

I messed up and was running the "compatibility troubleshooter" option, I had not truly changed the compatibility to run in Win Vista (service pack 2.) SO, to answer for anyone one how has this problem. Copy the Setup file from the Leopard CD, right click, properties, compatibility tab, change it, apply, then double click the file and setup will run. After it ran I restarted (still no sound) and then ran the Realtek driver after changing the compatibility in the same way, restarted, and head the beautiful shut down sound!
Nothing makes you feel stupider than answering your own question after asking the World wide web for help...
