WIN-E4UR1A468LC in my "Network and Sharing Center"

I recently downloaded a couple of media players. After installing not only did they not work the way I wanted but I got some additional stuff (viruses) installed as well. I have ran my antivirus and anti malware live and in safe mode. I ran a rescue disk on my computer, and still I can't get onto the www. I can access my email via Microsoft Outlook, but both browsers (Internet Explorer and Firefox) can't connect to the internet. BTW, when I'm in "Safe Mode" or running my rescue disk, I can access the www just fine. Now I see in my "Network and Sharing Center" that I have a new device under the heading "Home Automation", WIN-E4UR1A468LC. Does anyone know what it is and what it does? I suspect it is, at least, part of my problem. Right clicking than going to Properties, doesn't tell me much either. Manufacturer: Lenovo
Model: LnvCon1.0
Model number 1-00-00
Device Website: Presentation webpage unavailable
Serial number: 0000001
M.A.C. address: Unavailable
Unique identifier: uuid: 73a2b265-6259-44ce-a03b-cdc5aa358dcf
IP address: 127.0.0.1 Obviously a bunch of bogus information.
I am afraid if I try to uninstall WIN-E4UR1A468LC I may end up doing more harm than good. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I have same problem.

The wifi icon has an orange "ball" on it. Left click and it shows I am connected to my wifi. But at the top of the window is says "not connected."  Go to Network and sharing center and it shows a red x going to the router.
All this and I have full access to the internet.  What is going on?  How to fix?

    Hi,
For this issue, first I suggest you keep the latest driver for the network adapter, and disable other network adapters except the one you're using now, check if this issue persists.
or you can delete this wifi profile in manage wireless networks, then manually reconnect to this wifi, check if it make any difference.

  • Network and Sharing Center: You are currently not connected to any networks!

This happened all of the sudden, I restarted the system and BOOM!
After noticing the icon with the Exclamation mark at the system tray, there was nothing wrong with communication but the reporting is really messed up!
I've uninstalled the NIC driver and reinstalled it, reviewed services permission and if they are running but still no lucky here...
It's Win 8.1 Pro x64, the computer is member of a domain and I'm surely online, otherwise I could not be writing this post! ;)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

did you upgrade your Windows 8.1 from XP?
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-networking/windows-8-not-connected-to-network-but-it-is-shows/873d7474-6149-43bc-a94b-a29ff75afaa7
    Check OP reply:
A follow up for anyone reading this. My problem was apparently caused by upgrading from XP and usinging the keep files and settings option. Though there are very limited items brought over from an XP installation, something buried somewhere disabled the
    network connections.
To fix this, Windows 8 has a new feature called reset. This basically does setup all over again if you choose the erase files option. You have to enter the product key again when you do this. It is a clean installation.  I had to update the graphic
card drivers, add Media Center back in, install the HD Homerun Prime software, run the cable advisor, do TV setup and finally have it working as I had planned.
I suggest try same procedure (if you upgrade from XP to Windows 8.1), choose reset and reinstall back all the drivers

  • Network and Sharing Centre problems (again)

I seem to be tearing my hair out once again with the Network List Service. Several months back the Network and Sharing centre stopped displaying or reporting the active networks, although I was connected with internet access. A consequence was most of the
Metro apps would not work as they thought the computer was off-line.
The problem seemed to be that the permissions were wrong in the Network List hierarchy and adding Full Control for my user account in 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList' seemed to solve the problem.
Once again thought the Metro apps are not working reporting no internet connection and the Network and Sharing centre has the following message:
    Unknown
The service to detect this status is disabled
    More Information
When I select More Information I get a dialog asking if I want to turn on Network List Service,  when I click "Turn this on' nothing happens.
Having looked in the Event Viewer, there are a large number of this entry, maybe it is related?
DCOM got error "1068" attempting to start the service netprofm with arguments "Unavailable" in order to run the server:
Network List Service is reported as running in Services.msc. and task  manager.
I tried to check the permissions in the registry key as I did before but key was missing (i think). I tried switching to a local account on the computer from my Microsoft Live account but no change, although when I checked the registry, the NetworkList
key was there and the permissions were correct. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place but I was pretty sure it was missing...
Not sure where to go next with this..

    Hi,
The Network and Sharing centre opens as normal but where you would normally see
'View your active networks' followed by the network or list of networks that you are connected to it just says:
Unknown (when view your active networks would be)
The service to detect this status is disabled
    More Information
Clicking on 'More information' informs me that the Network List Service is not running and asks if I want to start it, clicking yes does nothing. The Network list Service is listed as running in Service.msc
I have tried a full virus scan and also ran a whole host of anti malware tools and the computer seems clean. I also tried sfc /scannow with no problems detected.
I restored and old clonezilla backup I had and it is fine now but made a system backup before I did. This is the second time this has happened and I would like to find a solution so I will revert back to the drive image with the issue and post a screen shot.

  • Airport network and sharing Internet connection

    Hello all,
I have hit this problem with sharing an internet connection on an airport network. Maybe its a simple fix, maybe it a "can not be done", answer.
My set up may be a little hard to describe. To explain, completely wireless set up in my network, 1 x imac and 1 x powerbook, all on airport and using an airport express. This includes my new printer. All connected through airport express network, call it network A.
Up till now i had a modem with an ether net cable plugged into the airport express. All was fine.
I am in jakarta, the cable internet providers here are hopeless, slow connection speed.
Last month a new wireless internet service was released. Called 3.5 G. Its lightning fast and reliable. Basically you get a wireless USB modem attach it to your computer and you are always connected to the internet wirelessly. You can travel anywhere with it. The 3.5G is primarily for mobile phones but i use it just for internet. This modem is connected to my powerbook and works great.
Now, the useless cable internet connected to my airport express is still connected for my Imac to use.
My problem is that i would like to share my high speed internet connection from my laptop to my imac. Problem is that when i allow sharing from my laptop, the intenet works fine on both machines but on the powerbook, which is doing the sharing you get an arrow symbol through the airport icon at the top.
The laptop can NOT access the local airport express network A. Hence i cannot use the printer or see the imac. That is my problem, i cannot print from the powerbook unless i stop sharing. When you share an internet connection the sharing computer seems to create another computer to computer network and does not join the existing arirport network.
This is probably a little confusing. Hopefully, someone may have some ideas. My alternative is to buy a new fixed position modem/router for the 3.5G system. Its about $600. Ouch.
    Any ideas
    thanks for the interest.
    joe

    Selamat Phil Smith,
Actually do we know each other, cause i know a phil smith.
Actually an ether net cable is OK for the short term. But if i get another computer it may get complex. Spent a lot removing cables too.... Looks like i will have to buy the special modem router... Painful $600.
This share internet thing over airport looks like a great idea till you realise it disables access to the ariport network for the computer doing the sharing.
Cheers and thanks for the idea

  • Airport Extreme joining a network and sharing wired internet connections

    Hi everyone,
My new ISP installed their modem/wifi router (Sagemcom) in my home two months ago. Since I share HDDs over the wifi network, I installed my airport extreme near the modem/wifi router and used it to "extend the network", and it worked fine until recently. It stopped working suddently with the yellow light flashing. When I tried to reconfigure it, I always got errors, needing to reset it even to be able to see it again in Airport utility. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea why it stopped working. I tried connecting the Airport Extreme with an ethernet wire to the modem with the same result. So, I decided to move the airport extreme in my living room and use it to share the internet connection with my PS3, slingbox and Apple TV, telling myself that a partly wired connection would improve the signal (since I also had an Airport Express in the living room extending the network before everything stopped working). Now, everything works; the green light is on, HDDs are available on the wifi network, I can only connect to the Sagemcom routeur but, meh, what do you want, BUT, my slingbox, Apple TV and PS3 can't connect to the airport extreme through a wired connection.
    Two questions:
1- Is it possible to share a wired internet connection with my Slingbox, PS3 and Apple TV from an Airport Extreme that has joined the network? If yes, what do I need to do to make it work?
2- Any idea why my first setup stopped working?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks a lot,
    Frank

1- Is it possible to share a wired internet connection with my Slingbox, PS3 and Apple TV from an Airport Extreme that has joined the network? If yes, what do I need to do to make it work?
Unfortunately, the Ethernet ports are not enabled when the AirPort Extreme is configured to "join" a wireless network.
Ironically, the less expensive AirPort Express does have the ability to "join" a wireless network and deliver an Ethernet signal at the port(s).
2- Any idea why my first setup stopped working?
None that you probably have not already thought about. The most commons cause is a sudden power outage, or even quick power "blip" can sometimes result in the Extreme to losing some of its configuration settings. Otherwise, gremlins are hard to catch.

  • Trying to connect 2 mac mini's as a network, and sharing printers

Hello to all. Please help me as I'm a newbie on these Mac mini's. I am trying to create a network between the two mini's and I would like to share files between them and be able to print from the upstairs mini to the printers hooked up to the downstairs mini.
Mini 1 (downstairs) has 2 printers attached directly, a HP color laserjet and a Epson 800 Artisan
    Mini 2 (upstairs)
Mini 1 and mini 2 are both connected via ethernet to the Netgear router.
    Here is my problem:
on the mini 1, I can print and even access the mini 2 via sharing. I can screen share and view folders that is on the mini 2.
However, from the mini 2 computer, I cannot get the screen share and folder sharing from the mini 1 computer. I show that it is there, but when I try to connect, I get a message that states: CONNECTION FAILED The server may no exist or it is not operation at this time. Check the server name or ip address and your network connection and try again.
On the mini 2 I also cannot get anything to print. It doesn't even show that the printers that are supposedly shared at the other computer are present. I tried to add them, via default icon or even ip from the print and fax preferences, but I get error messages and cannot print.
ON THE mini 2: When I used the 'default printer' icon, both of my printers showed up using bonjour shared and I 'added' them. But when I tried to print, I got a message stating:
*Connecting to downstairs-mac-mini.local on port 631...*
*Unable to connect to printer; will retry in 30 seconds....*
I deleted both printers as bonjour shared and tried to make the printers an ip internet shared, and put in the ip address xxx.xxx.1.2 (mini 1 ip address) but I got a message saying that that ip address was being used. I changed the ip address to xxx.xxx.1.5 (mini 2 ip address) and it looked like it was going to print, but it automatically goes to pause. (doesn't matter which printer it is, I can't print from either. I never did get either of the printers to work on mini 2.
I have done the following: On the mini 1, the printers are marked shared. On both computers the shared folders are marked shared, along with screen sharing. I also added all files on both computers to be shared as to who can read only or read and write.
Also, I have also gone to the 'system' icon and on internet sharing, I have made both computers to be shared, with the appropriate check marks done on the list of services I want shared.
ON both the mini 1 and mini 2 I have set the network to XXXXX Home and it automatically configured and states that my ethernet is connected.
On the downstairs computer, I can see the 'shared computer, and am able to access the files.
BUT on the other computer upstairs, I do see the downstairs computer, but it fails in the connection.
I noticed that the ip address for each computers state the same number, except the last digit is different. xxx.xxx.1.2 for the downstairs mini and xxx.xxx.1.5 for the upstairs mini. The router number and dns server along with the subnet mask are the same numbers between both of the computers.
I am going to set the power settings NOT to sleep when idle so that might help when I am trying to view files on each mini's.
So right now I am stuck with how to make the upstairs mini to print on the downstairs printers, and how to see the downstairs mini on the upstairs mini display.
Any help from anyone is very much appreciated. Sorry this is so long. Thanks in advance!

Mini 1 Allow only essential services
Mini 2 Allow all incoming connections
I changed mini 1 to allow all incoming connections
That did the trick for viewing, now will that help me on my printer issue also? YES! wahoo! Thanks so much, I would have not thought about checking the firewall.
Kudos to you and all your help!

  • Internal orders/networks and Cost center

is it correct to say, all internal orders and process orders will roll into a cost center at the end.
    Sri

    Hello Ganga,
You can settle the costs collected on an internal order to one cost center, one G/L account, or one business process using one settlement cost element.
Hene, it is not necessary that all internal orders will roll in to a cost centre at the end.

  • Why can't Apple TV's and iOS devices see home sharing on my Windows 7 computer when iTunes libraries on other computers on the same network and connected to the same Home Sharing can?

I have never previously had any problems with Home Sharing, I have always found it to be completely reliable as advertised. I have 2 computers in the house, (one MacBook and one Windows Desktop) connected to the same Home Sharing account, connected to the same BT Home Hub 4. My situation is that I have nearly 2TB of data of which I would like to share with the home wirelessly, in my mind the desktop is the logical place for this to be shared from.
When running, iTunes on this desktop broadcasts to other iTunes libraries, but no other iOS devices or Apple TV's connected to the same Home Sharing account cannot see it.
I have tried turning Home Sharing off, and then turning it back on, closing iTunes, restarting the computer, going to Network and Sharing Centre and unticking IPv6 in the network adapter properties, even completely wiping the computer and reinstalling Windows 7.
One of the Apple TV's in the house was recently purchased by my parents with the promise from me that everything would work seamlessly... so far it isn't and I am frustrated that the Apple technology that I have come to rely on isn't working as expected.
One thing that has occurred to me upon writing this is that it is a very large amount of data, and I have not attempted to share this with another computer that is currently working and broadcasting it's Home Share fine.
I am sorry if I have ommitted any important details, any further questions don't hesitate to ask. I would be so grateful of any suggestions, my parents are depending on me.

I have found with AppleTV that it is the IPV6 on the computer you want to access is the problem.  The issue is that Homegroup on Win 7 or Win 8 requires IPV6 to work, but AppleTV won't work with IPV6.  (So maybe double check you have IPV6 turned off)
So you have to make a choice - Homegroup or AppleTV.... but you can't have both, until Apple brings ATV up to date. (crazy that it does not recognise IPV6 - c'mon Apple!)
You can set up sharing individually in Win 7 or 8 and have the ATV access files that way.
Having said that, there is always the exception.. I have an old HP home server running Win8 and it services ATV - but is part of the Homegroup... have no idea why it works on both, but no other machine on the home network will talk to both ATV and Homegroup at the same time!

  • I am trying to get my airport extreme to extend my telstra 4G wi-fi network , and i have turned sharing on, but have no green light on the capsule.

i don't know what i am doing wrong and have tried to follow instructions on the discussion page , set up extend network and shareing on, but i still don't have a green to go on the base station, and either have to be on my 4G telstra network , or back into wi-fi and tick time capsule network.  one or the other. i don't understand a lot of this stuff .

    leanne5725 wrote:
I have a telstra modem/wireless thingy.  Unsure what you mean by using the Apple router as AP only (what do you mean by AP).
AP is access point.. ie wireless point to access the network.. also called WAP.. wireless access point.
Also I keep getting a message saying (PROXY error - the proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.  The proxy server could not handle the request) - then I go back out, then back in a few times and it works.  Also, a box keeps coming up saying (bad gateway), but Ive never had a problem before I had this apple computer.
It is just today.. some proxy has been fixed.. openssl updated?? Anyway.. it is fine now. I could not get on this site at all for the last few hours.. same issue.
What Apple routers do you own now??
You can plug it into the TG797N (wan on apple router.. to LAN on Telstra router) and run it in router bridge..
    And create a wireless network..
Then connect your clients to the Apple wireless instead of the TG797N wireless.

  • Windows 7 and Mac 10.5 network file sharing

I am having extreme difficulties sharing files over my home network! I have 3 PCs and one Mac. I have tried the Mac forums and the Windows forums, to no avail.
    On the Mac side:
File Sharing is ON, with smb
Users are set to Everyone with read/write privileges
WINS has the correct Workgroup name
Network Name has no spaces in it
Shared my Desktop, Public Folder, Documents, and Shared folders (just to cover root folders and specific ones too)
Mac gives an smb://xxx.xxx.x.x address and a local network accession "mycomputername.local," but I don't know what to do with either of these things. When I put the addresses into the Windows Run dialogue box or in Internet Explorer, they don't seem to recognize the path.
Firewall is set to Allow All Incoming Connections
Under the Shared location in Finder, I can see my router name, and if I click on it, I can connect. No password is required. I am connected as my account name. However, I can't see the PC or anything at all, in fact.
Under the Shared location in Finder, I can see my shared name for my Mac. But I cannot connect to it, probably because I'm connecting from my Mac.
It would be nice to use the smb://DNSname/sharename or the smb://IPaddress/sharename function in the Go to Server window, but I have no idea where to find this information on my PC. Or on the network. Or whatever this is referring to.
    On the PC:
Sharing is NOT password protected under Advanced Sharing Options
I am sharing my Desktop and My Documents with Everyone and Guest, and Windows 7 has provided a file://computername/Users/foldername path. However, when I put this into the Connect to Server or Connect to File window, there is an error.
I can click on my Mac computer name in the Network window, but I get the error message that it cannot connect (network path cannot be found, using \\MYMACNAME as the path). This is when my Mac says it is "connected" when I click on the router in Finder's Shared places.
Of course both the Mac and the PC have full connectivity to the same network.
Also, I have disabled the internal firewall in the Belkin router.
Also, my accounts have identical names with no spaces.
My Mac (10.5) DID successfully connect to Windows XP before I upgraded.
    Any advice? Thanks guys!!
P.S. -- I have also posted to the Windows people here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7network/thread/b5144e55-d024- 401c-85ae-1cf94226b786
In the hopes that I will double my chances of getting an answer.

    And my response:
Okay, so here's what I've done:
OS X: did the sharing thing, smb thing, and directories thing.
Win 7: Network sharing settings are correct for Home or Work (current profile). I left my Public alone, but verified that my network is recognized as a Home location.
User accounts exist in both the Mac and PC. Names are the same. Heck, passwords match and I'm logged into the same account on each computer, just in case.
Firewalls are scary to me, so I did the best I could. I went to my browser, typed in my router IP address, and went to the DHCP Client List. Both of the computers were listed with their assigned IP addresses. I "reserved" those IP addresses so they the router would always assign that IP address to that MAC address (so I could count on it in the future). It turns out that they are sequentially assigned, so I figured that if I added any more devices (my other PC, the PS3, etc.) those IP addresses would just be +1 to the last digit cluster in the IP address.
Then I went to Windows Firewall, because I don't have a third-party firewall. I confirmed that I was connected to the Home network, and then clicked Advanced Settings. Wow, there's a lot of rules! There were multiple File and Printer Sharing rules (both inbound and outbound), so I didn't mess with them. Instead, I created a Custom Rule (bot inbound and outbound) for all programs, any protocols and all ports, and added the IP address range (192.168.2.1 - 192.168.2.9, giving myself plenty of extra for future devices) I found from above to the local and remote IP Address boxes. I specified to Allow the Connection for Domain, Public and Private, and gave it a name that started with A so I could find it easily in the future. Finally, I set the Interface Type to be LAN and Wireless (my PC is wirelessly connected).
In OS X, in the Firewall tab of the Security preference, I set it to Allow all incoming connections. File Sharing (SMB) is the first name on the list, but I cannot click on it or modify it in any way. I don't know what else to do. Am I missing something?
I've shared My Music and Desktop on the Win 7 for Everyone (not just the Homegroup!), and shared My Documents and Desktop for Everyone to read/write on the Mac.
Okay, now I need to reboot on both computers. brb...
Wow, definitely don't reserve any IP addresses on your router! I took that setting off, restarted everything, reset the modem and router, and I can now connect both computers to the internet.
I can still connect to the Windows via the Connect to Server dialogue and smb://AJPC.
In Windows Network, I can now see my Mac user account name, but when double-clicking on it I get the error message "Windows cannot access \\ComputerName. Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose." Under "Details," it says Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found." When I diagnose, Troubleshooting can't identify the problem.
Any advice? Thanks for your help guys!
A side note: I just checked my router's DHCP client list, and my PC is now connecting at 192.168.2.8, which is definitely not sequential. Good thing I specified the IP Address range all the way to 192.168.2.9 just in case; apparently the router can't count.

  • Bluetooth Network and Internet sharing issue

I'm trying to set up a network through Bluetooth between two computers having the latest Toshiba Stack installed, and to share the Internet connection with the second computer.
On the firs computer I've set the Internet Connection Sharing, and because of this it automatically sets the TCP/IP adresses for the Bluetooth Personal Area network (192.168.0.1).
On the 2nd computer, i've set everything to obtain it automatically. Firewalls (Kaspersky) disabled.
When I connect the 2 Bluetooth devices, everything looks fine, the 2nd automatically obtains the IP adress, I can ping both computers, and the Internet also works on the 2nd computer, for a few seconds! After that, it appears like the 2nd computer is disconnected from the network... what could be the problem?
In the event viewer under the System tab, I've found Informations like these:
    2nd comp:
The system detected that network adapter \DEVICE\TCPIP_{E44D18EB-91F5-4... was connected to the network, and has initiated normal operation over the network adapter.
The browser has forced an election on network \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{E44D18EB-... because a master browser was stopped.
and at 1st comp also appeares this:
The system detected that network adapter Bluetooth...Area Network - Packet Scheduler Miniport was disconnected from the network, and the adapter's network configuration has been released. If the network adapter was not disconnected, this may indicate that it has malfunctioned. Please contact your vendor for updated drivers.

  • Created Network and Internet Sharing Problems

    Hello,
I created network with WEP password. I proceeded to turn on internet sharing.
All works great until the iMac goes to sleep.
Once it comes back on the network I created is missing and I have create it all over again.
The internet connection is through ethernet staring into the iMac.
Is there a way to get the iMac to stop forgetting the created network and leave the internet connection on? Even when it's sleeping.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,
Is there a reason why you chose WEP? I ask because WEP is an encryption technology that has been cracked so if possible I"d suggest you use WPA or WPA2 encryption instead. Am I correct to assume you don't have a router and all the other computers connect to the internet through the imac? If you don't have a router I'd suggest you buy one, they are not much money and provide excellent protecton from the internet. A router will protect all the computers on your network behind its firewall and would no longer have to connect through the imac.
A couple of things to check:
Go to System Preferences>Network and highlight 'Wireless' on the left side. (Also, if you don't use Bluetooth or any other type of networking listed there delete them from the list leaving only Ethernet and Airport) Uncheck 'ask to join new networks'.
Then click on 'Advanced..' and under the Airport tab make sure only your network is listed in the 'Prefered Networks' window. Under that window check 'remember any network this computer has joined' and uncheck 'disconnect from wireless networks when logging out'.
That's the way I've got my computer set up and I've never lost a connection.

  • Printing to a Windows shared printer, keep getting "Hold for Authentication" when I'm on the Windows shared network and can browse the computers.

I have had two MacBook Pros now, and this has been an issue in Mountain Lion and Mavericks. I've got a shared printer on the local Windows network (it's a USB printer shared via the network and the computer), and the other Windows computers in the house can print to it no problem. The Mac sees it no problem, yet whenever I try to print to it, I just get "Hold for Authentication."
Like I said, persists over Mountain Lion and Mavericks. No other computer in the house has any issues printing to it. I've installed the drivers for the printer as well (Brother HL-2240).
I've tried to follow the instructions here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23268762#23268762 but the printer isn't listed in Keychain Access.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!

Well, that isn't too useful. Try this instead: Adding a printer shared by a Windows computer via SMB/CIFS.
