Win SapGui in WD Application?

Is there a way to launch from a Web Dynpro application a SAP transaction in a SAP WinGui (SAP WinGui then will be running in in my Web Dynpro application)?
Where can I find examples or a tutorial? Who can help?

Hi,
from my point of view the main issue doing this is to get the right URL for the transaction.
If you are running inside the SAP Enterprise Portal this would be very easy to do:
Define two iViews. One for the Web Dynpro application and one for the SAP GUi transaction.
Use portal page navigation to navigate from the Web Dynpr application to the SAP Gui Transaction (called as iView).
If you want to embedd the SAPGui inside your Web Dynpro application I do not see any option right now.

PCLinusOS + WINE but 3rd party applications freeze, help.

Loaded PCLinuxOS 4 times now with WINE in 3 different configs, 3rd party apps always freeze.
They do install but on loading they freeze, always. I've tried 6 different apps. & all freeze.
Admin is logged on & working.
2 HDD's, (HDD-1) NTFS and (HDD-2) Linux boot & swap

LOL, I'm reading the receint LinuxOS is irritating MicroSoft. HOO-AHH!!!
I do hope Lunux will make more Apps to COMPLETLY replace Windows.

I have the same problem since yesterday and now after I have done something follow the instruction from this topic, it is working now!!!
Okay, Here is what I have done;
First:
I hard reset my Iphone; Steps stated as below,
1.) Press the home button (the big circle below the screen) and the sleep wake button (the button on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
2.) Hold both buttons simultaneously for a few seconds, Ignore the "Slide to power off" and keep holding
3.) The iPhone should now shutdown automatically - (fade to black)
4.) Turn the iPhone back on by hitting the sleep/wake button.
5.) You should now see the Apple logo, your iPhone is restarting and thus booting up.
6.) You have completed a hard reset successfully.
Second:
I randomly updated one of my application (Hangman - It is a puzzle for word gussing)
The when I finish updating, I go randomly check one of my 3rd party applications, and it is working, and then I tried with others, all working as per normal.
Hope this would help.
P.S. It is indeed very frustrating to facing such an un-pleasant problem, hope apple side can come out with proper solutions in their next updates.

Win 32 not valid application!

Been reading posts trying to work out next move.
Have all updates for microsoft after downloading itunes it wont let me run it cos win32 not valid application and publisher not verified - what next except more grey hairs! anybody help please?

You are not going to believe this but I have actually cracked it and got i tunes and quick time up and running!!!!! Basically I went to the microsoft home page and downloaded any updates including non critical, software and hardware which took a bit of time cos could only install one then re-boot, disabled norton anti virus, turned off my firewall and went to www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win/html and downloaded quick time on its own without i tunes, installed then went to www.apple.com/itunes/download - was slow because I'm not on broadband but hey presto - one happy lady after one whole week of trying to download, it finally worked - keep at it - good luck

Possible Video Card problem while running 3d applications on wine

Hello guys, I got an issue with wine running 3d games/applications on the netbook and I thought this was the right place to post, since I'm pretty new to Arch, sorry if I messed something up with the sections.
Long story short: The applications/games I "tested" are Football Manager 2013 (via Steam) and Nintendo64 emulator. I didn't post on the wine forums since I'm pretty sure it's not a wine related problem, due to the fact that on my desktop both work without any problem with same wine and Arch configuration.
The netbook as an integrated Intel video, while the desktop has a nvidia card.
So I'm assuming there something wrong with the video card/drivers/configuration even if X runs good and seem configured correctly.
When I run those games with wine i get the following error and I get a black screen on wine:

and the thing is Football Manager doesn't need much graphics, since games can be played even in 2d.

[SOLVED]Applications left after uninstalling wine

I've completely uninstalled wine without uninstalling the applications I was running through it. Now their entries were left in the Activities menu (gnome shell). How do I remove them?

That said, I believe you can upgrade without reinstalling apps or deleting data.

Wine application won't force quit

I used wine bottler for the first time to run an exe file, the installer for 123d catch by autodesk. It didn't work when I ran it, but I don't really care about that. After quitting wine and closing the application, it is still running. It appears in the force quit menu, but doesn't say its not responding. When I right click on it in my dock, however, it says it is not responding. Anyway, force quitting the app does nothing. I can't get it out of my dock. I can't delete the app because it's open, but I can't open the app. There is a little dot under the icon to show that it is running. I can't get rid of it at all. When I open terminal and type "top" it doesn't show up. It doesn't show up in Activity Monitor at all as far as I can tell, there's nothing under 123 or catch or wine. Please help.

I can't restart at all.
The application is compatible, and from the download folder it's launching properly.
I can't access anything about the open application - I don't get the menus. It's like it froze in the middle of opening and now it's neither here nor there, technically open but completely inaccessible to everything. If I try opening it again from the applications folder I'm getting the message 'The application "ELAN_4.7.2" can't be opened. -600". If I try to move it to trash it tells me it can't be moved to trash because it's open. I'm going over the user manual now from the developer but so far can't see anything relevant...

Problem Installing an application with wine(SOLVED)

I made a directory and installed cinema 4D and for the most part it goes fine,when it's finished installing the app it comes up and i can use it,but when i exit and try to bring the app back up with wine CINEMA 4D.exe i get a message saying wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\CINEMA.exe".Also when i'm installing C4D at the directory selection menu,there's a directory /home/cube/.wine/drive.C/Programs where i'm assuming that's where the app is supposed to be installed,so i checked it with ls -as and the Dir wasn't there so i created it,but when i'm back at the directory selection menu in C4D the Dir isn't there because the .wine Dir is hidden and i'm not sure how to unhide it or if that will even fix the wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\CINEMA.exe" problem and execute the file.
Any help with this will be very appreciated .Thx

call wine as any other application that require a filename as argument. From your home directory:
wine '.wine/drive_c/Program Files/.../CINEMA 4D.exe'
(the quote are necessary because of the space in the filename).
You can also specify a Windows path:
wine 'C:\Program Files\..\CINEMA 4D.exe'

BO XI 3.1 Installation in Win 2008 R2. CMC & Infoview not opening

I did a BO XI 3.1 SP3 Installation on Win 2008 R2 machine. The Installation was successful. I could connect to the CMS from Client Components (Rich Client, UD, etc.,).
But CMC & Infoview are not opening... I mean the page shows blank without promoting for BO Login Credentials. I'm thinking the problem could be around Tomcat Configuration / something... The system doesnot have IIS. Tomcat version is 5.5.
Any help would be appreciated.

i am installing bo edge with data integrater xi3.1 sp3 on my windows server 2008 standard 32 bit edition. after installing, the application like infoview, designer all can work but my data services cannot work. On Solaris 10 x86, using the QEMU CPU Emulator, it might work.

drive,

binaries.
For nodes not to appear in the environment as nodes, they could be defined

of a model node '(which then would be in the environmnet)'
Putting a password in the environment could prevent nodes to be registered
there, but
might prevent the apps from being executed.

Web dynpro developement works with SAPGUI?

Hi,
I am a developer working most of my time in 4.6C. Recently i started to upgrade myself. I have studied about web dynpro and came to know that All of business suite developement is done in Web dynpro, be it java or abap.
My question here is once a web dynpro is developed independent of whether it is developed in ABAP or JAVA, will work in all defferent forms of ui : sapgui, webgui, etc?
Put in other words, does business suite developed in web dynpro be accessable via a normal SAPgui?

This is where the NetWeaver Business Client has its best use case - when combining legacy SAPGUI transactions with newer Web Dynrpo ones. Like the portal, the two types of transactions are ran within the same navigation frame. However because the NWBC is a desktop application, the technical integration of the SAPGUI is much more efficient. You get easy navigation between SAPGUI and Web Dynpro screens.

Behaviors SDK support in Win10 Preview for store apps build in win 8.1

We are using Windows 8.1 Behavior SDK (xaml) in our win store app to bind commands to ViewModel in VS2013.
But when we run this project on a machine with Win 10 Preview edition, these Command bindings are not working.
We are not able to hook any command from View to ViewModel using Behavior SDK.
Is there any alternative for it or any support planned in Win 10 as our application heavily depends on it.

Arch64: wine won't launch exe on NTFS partitions but will do on reiser

OK, this is an other issue with wine and x64 (2.6.30). I say another because I saw that a lot of us have issues with wine and x64 that end up being answered "wine and 32 bit applications under x64 architecture won't do fine" but this one is driving me nuts: it looks like i'm not far away from making it.
My problem is: wine can't launch applications if the exe is on my NTFS partition but will do if the same exe is on one of my reiserfs partition.
ie:

I get the usual wine popup saying that "NOTEPAD.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close" (http://img410.imageshack.us/i/ekrangrnts1.png/)
But:
[miguel@WKM_MSI ~]$ cp /mnt/win_NTFS/WINDOWS/NOTEPAD.EXE /mnt/my_reiserfs_partition/
[miguel@WKM_MSI ~]$ wine /mnt/my_reiserfs_partition/NOTEPAD.EXE
And NOTEPAD works like a charm!
To answer usual questions:
- I gave each bin32-wine* package a try, even some old versions but none make any difference
- all lib32-* packages are installed (except for community/lib32-libgl and community/lib32-nvidia-utils which would conflict with my aur/lib32-nvidia-utils-beta)
- I tried several nvidia configuration but it really doesn't look like a video driver issue... rather a 64 problem
- I installed many things throught winetricks such as DirectX etc...
- I didn't find any similar issue on google
Here is how I mount my partitions if you think that could come from some right issues:
[miguel@WKM_MSI ~]$ cat /etc/fstab
/dev/sda1 /mnt/win_NTFS ntfs-3g users,locale=en_US.utf8 0 0
/dev/sda8 /mnt/my_reiserfs_partition reiserfs defaults 0 0

Actually the line I quoted in the original post was already "experimental". My usual fstab before I tried this one was:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/win_NTFS ntfs-3g users,uid=1000,gid=100,fmask=0113,dmask=0002,locale=fr_FR.utf8 0 0
/dev/sda8 /mnt/my_reiserfs_partition reiserfs defaults 0 0
That gives me:
[root@WKM_MSI miguel]# ll /mnt/
total 8.0K
drwxrwxr-x 1 miguel users 8.0K 2009-09-23 10:42 win_NTFS
drwxrwxrwx 12 root root 384 2009-09-23 10:33 my_reiserfs_partition
Which doesn't work neither!
BTW as we talk about it: "my_reiserfs_partition" is owned by root! Isn't it a security issue? I mean: I can read/write/execute on it as regular user but shouldn't it be mounted with the same rights as /mnt/win_NTFS?
Still interested in any piece of advice on the original issue !

GLC and EVE Online via wine

For quite some time now I am searching for a program to capture gaming videos in Arch.
And after tools like xvidcapture, recordmydesktop and istanbul didn't satisfy me, I found GLC and installed it as described in this old newsletter: http://www.archlinux.org/static/magazin … ul-07.html

But not with wine:

Then the Game launches, but capturing doesn't work.

$ glc-capture -o /home/urviech/xglc -r 0.5 glxgears
works well, and also Tux Racer.
I suspect it to be a problem related to me running Arch 64bit and wine being a 32bit Application.
So - what can I try to make this work?
