Need help? Some of my Ipods are not recognized by Itunes with my Windows 8 PC. (Ipod Nano 4th gen and Ipod Nano 6th gen), but on my Windows 7 PC, they work fine. When I am done reviewing my account info am told to contact itunes support to complete the transaction. I cant even use my account to buy from the app store.

My iTunes has stopped recognizing all od my devices (ipod, ipad2). When I connect my ipad or ipod they do noy show up on itunes. They due show up on iphoto so I now the cable and communication are working.

Can I move my iTunes music to a device with a different Apple ID using iTunes library on desktop?
I'm going to be getting a new iPhone real soon and I'm going to create a new Apple ID. The one that I'm currently using now will be handed over to another with respected agreements. I was just wondering if I could still move the music purchases with this ID to my phone that will have a different one using iTunes library on desktop.

Will itunes know i bought an app on my ipad
If I bought an application on the iPad which did not get synced to my computer, will iTunes know that it was bought. My wife is using the iPad in the hospital where we added 1password Pro. I now want to add this application to my iPod Touch. The App Store wants to charge me again for this application. How can I add it to my iPod Touch without paying again or syncing my iPad.
in addition to what WBW said, you can transfer items purchased on a mobile device to iTunes like so:
connect the device to iTunes and right-click or control-click your iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad in the iTunes Source list, then choose +transfer purchases+ from the shortcut menu that appears.

How to sync iTunes playlists on multiple devices
Hi - just a quick one & I am sure that many of you guru's already understand how to do this but.. From time to time, while traveling - etc, I will make playlists on whatever device that I happen to be using & wish that they would show up on my other devices. For instance, last week I created a quick playlist on my iPad and it doesnt show up on my iPhone nor any of the other 4 Apple devices (including computers) that I use frequently. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks.I have a friend who uses iTunes Match, and that will automatically sync the playlists between his devices. One thing to know though is that when you setup iTunes Match on your iOS device for the first time, it will erase what you have on the device and replace it with what is on iTunes Match. So...you might want to export those playlists first.

ITunes match across multiple devices?
Is it possible to use iTunes match across multiple devices? My wife and I use the same computer when at home and we have music stored on that computer. She had her own Apple id to use with her own iPhone, as do I. We don't want to have multiple music libraries since we liste to most of the same music. Is it possible to have iTunes match between 2 iPhones that are using different Apple id's but the same iTunes account?
ThanksWhen I try to go to iTunes music match on her phone it asks me to sign into match, which I am assuming is the same as her Apple ID name and password. This is a different name and password than my account. So, it seems that she cannot access my "cloud" from her phone in order to download music that I have purchased. I guess since she has her own iClud account, she needs to sign up for iTunes match through that account and pay the fee. I was hoping we could access the same 'Cloud" to have the same library of music? Hope that made sense.

My ipad 3G was stolen today. I have activated Find my device but device.is offline. The device is password proected. If I dont wipe the drive and the thief attempts to restore it to factory settings by connecting to itunes on another computer, will the cloud find the device when it is turned on?
Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

On Windows 7 with iTunes 10.6.3.25 I cannot subscribe to iTunes Match. In iTunes I click on iTunes Match in the left pane then click the "Subscribe for $25 a year" button. A window that looks like I am going to be asked to login using my Apple ID and password starts to come up but then an error occurs and I get a window that says "iTunes stopped working" then iTunes closes. What can I do ?
I've also read somewhere about using Win Rar to extract files to do with apple mobile device support from the itunes installer file, would you recommend that to? I don't really fancy the idea of doing anything that involves my registry because knowing me I'll end up screwing my laptop up for good lol
It's a little more involved than just doing a standalone AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi install, I'm afraid. The relevant drivers in AMDS are not digitally signed for 64-bit XP, so you have to force XP to accept a driver install that it would try its damnedest to not do. There's no driver issues for other 64-bit componentry in the installer package (I think the GEAR drivers install on XP 64-bit systems), but I believe there's still a bit of fancy footwork involved in getting them installed too ... although it's been a long time since I've looked at an instruction set, and I might not be recalling those things correctly. (So if you're not comfortable with system modifications, it might be best to steer clear of the Orca-based techniques ...) -

How are you trying to play them, in the iTunes store or the Music and Videos apps ? Downloaded and synced music and videos should be in the Music and Videos apps, and you can stop content that is only in the cloud from showing in them via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music and Videos 'off' (under the 'show all' heading).
If you don't have your music and films/TV shows in those two apps then you should be able to download them into those apps via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app. -

I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.
