Win: Windows Exception in Organizer

Win: I just installed Elements (Boxed version) on my Dell Pentium 4, 3.19 GH, 1GB RAM using XP. When I launch Organizer I get 2 identical messages:
"WINDOWS - No Disk - Exception Processing message C0000013 Parameters 75b6f7c 4 75b6bf7c - Options: Cancel, Try Again, Continue"
When I hit Continue, I get error again. When hit yet again, organizer seems to load up ok.
Any ideas what is causing this?
Also,
When I use the HELP menu and select the "ONLINE SUPPORT", it launches Explorer ok, but it never loads the website, and the processor is spinning at above 50%, and I need to cancel it via the Task Manager. If I close Elements, and go directly to the Online Support page, it loads immediately.
Any help will be appreciated.

Searching for this error on the Web suggests that PSE has recorded a pathname somewhere for a drive that either doesn't have a disk in it or isn't accessible. So you might try deleting PSE's preferences and reinstalling with anti-virus and other services disabled. This is described in Adobes dont-have-a-clue troubleshooting steps. For PSE 6, see:

The most likely steps to try include deleting the Organizers preferences, reinstalling in simplified mode with anti-virus and other services temporarily disabled, running as Administrator, and running in a new user account.

    i had just updated imovie to 10.0.2. While attempting to import clips from my camera the computer froze so I tried to eject the usb cord hooked to my camera. Even though it said it was OK to do so, when I pulled it out I got a message it was done prematurely. When I restarted the computer and tried to import again, evey clip shows up in the window EXCEPT the very one I want to import. I have no idea why and Ive tried everyting( restart, turn off, etc) nothing works. The wanted clip shows up fine on my camera but not in the imovie import window. please help

    Hi Chandru,
    For this kind of error, you have no other choice but report to SAP support ASAP.  This is beyond forum scope.
    If only happened in one workstation, then that is not a big problem.  You just need reinstall your B1 client there.

  • Windows 7 and Organizer

    When I open PSE 7 in Windows 7, it opens to the Welcome to Photoshop Elements window with the option to activate the Organizer, Edit, Create and Share.  When I select the organizer it opens the window showing the the files loading but then it closes and puts the PSE icon in the taskbar.  If I click the icon it shows the small window with the organizer but it won't open the full screen organizer.  Here the kicker, it doesn't do this all the time.  Some times the organizer opens to the full window and works as it should.  Any ideas?????

    This question might be better posted to the Photoshop Elements forum, of course.
    But my guess would be that the program is still trying to build your Organizer catalog. This can take a while the first time you open the Organizer.
    There may be other issues -- but it's hard to say without knowing more about your computer, how many media files are on it and if you have a previous version of the software installed on it.

    In downloading (FTP download) Java2 SDK 1.3.0.01 on Oct 10, 2001, from java.sun.com/jwse/1.3/download-windows.html ...after over an hour of downloading over 40% of the file to Windows 98 on a 1998 Dell Pentium II with AT&T Internet Explorer, I received the message -
    exception OE occurred at 0028:CD654 in VxDAFVXD(01)
    + 00001649. This was called from 0028:C1842B94 in
    VxDPPPMAC(04) + 000079B4.
    The error dialog box offered a choice of continue or cancel. After clicking continue, I got the following message:
    Internet Explorer cannot download j2skd-1.3.1.01-win.exe from ftp.java.sun.com. The connection with the server was reset.
    What does this mean?
    Also, there is no file with that name in my c:\acrobat\reader directory, does this mean that the partial download was erased from my drive's memory allocation and the space is available to try again?

    VxDPPPMAC(04) + 000079B4.Internet Explorer crashed for some reason. You should try using Netscape, Mozilla or Opera to download the file instead, if Internet Explorer continues doing this.
    Also, if you are also using Internet Explorer while the file downloads, it might be best to find a quiet period and download the file when you know you won't use Internet Explorer, as it could be other things causing the crash. :/

    I installed newest wine 1.3.13-2 from repo, ran winecfg and deleted z: partition. Didn't mess with winetricks as it was said to be unnecessary in similar topic around. Then I wanted to install MS Office 2003 but the installer broke very soon with a lot of output. After a lot of "fixme...", it goes:

    My Arch is english although I have polish characters and keyboard installed. Office I was trying to install is polish, and sorry I can't figure out if it is basic or home or enterprise or whatever. I had it put into ~/.wine/drive_c before installation. It worked many times before, also with wine.
    Anyone has idea on what I do to get it done? Will be grateful a bunch, guys
    Oh one more thing, I mistakenly did the same as root one time, and it did it somehow!! It installed under /root/.wine/drive_c.

    Downloaded 10.2.0.1 version file - trying to run OUI.exe on win 32 , XP pro SP2.
    No matter if I run it from cmd or just double clicking on setup.exe, I get the error below. Note that Visual Studio has never been installed on this machine (or removed, or tried to install).
    I did verify that the same downloaded file runs on other machine of the same type.
    What can I do?

    That's because you've OUI.exe inside a directory with spaces.
    Cut and Past all files to a no spaces directory (c:\oracle for example) and run files from there.
    Oracle should fix this annoying bug|

  • Question Windows 8 and Organizer 10

    I just bought a new PC with windows 8 and Photoshop elements 10.0 .  The PC has 6GB memory 1TB hard disk.
    Photoshop is setup to go right into Organizer.
    After  closing organizer, I can't  restart it without restarting the PC. 

    Tried this and still have the problem.
    After closing Photoshop Elements Organizer, when I go into Task Manager, there is still a "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10" still running.   The PC is set up to go "Always Launch Elements Organizer Only".
    On my home PC which is running Windows 7 with Photoshop Elements 10, I don't have the same problem.   On the windows 7 PC, I don't see a  "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10" under Task Manager.

    Is the fix described in cpsid_84866 reqired for PSE 10?

    Since Win7 does not include an email client, the answer is "Yes" -- you do need an email client to send emails.
    Outlook 2010 also works; you have to have the 32-bit version installed, since PSE is a 32-bit application.

    Is there a way to capture the department of an employee in the assignment window apart from the descriptive flexible.Actually the employee information is entered up to unit level in the system.Thus the organization field is used to attach the actual department where the employee is,whether its section/unit or department.In case if a section is attached for an employee is there a way in assignment window where we can specify the department for this section.

    There is no way to capture the department of an employee in the assignment window except DFF.
    But i am not able understand it why you want to capture this.
    You can make Organization with Different Type like (Department, Section, Unit or other) and to those organization you can assign employee.
    On Assigning it automatically to assign to either department or section.

    in which when play video we can resize the window by right-bottom of video image this place not corner of that window

  • Feedback Wanted on Windows 7 versus Elements 9 Organizer

    I am a Windows 7 user.  Does anybody have feedback on the merits of using Windows 7 versus Elements 9 Organizer for managing a sane filing system so there aren't duplicates OR deleted photos?   So far, I would agree with the previous thread that mentioned the ease of use with CS5's Bridge system compared to Organizer.  Do you use the People/Place/Events templates set up in Organizer or forget about it?

    Firstly, the major difference between Bridge and Organizer is that Bridge is a file browser, like Windows Explorer.  Organizer is a file cataloguer, meaning that it stores its own information (tags, albums, etc.) in its own database.
    I occassionaly use Bridge as sort of an "enhanced" Windows Explorer when I want to see thumbnails of PSD files and other file formats that don't display as thumbnails in Explorer.  Bridge pretty much follows the folder structure that you've established in Windows, so if you're happy with your file system organization you'll be happy with Bridge.
    For my money, Organizer is much more powerful because the organization and display of its database information is independent of the file system structure.  For example, photos stored in wildly separated file folders can be viewed next to each other in Organizer if those photos have a tag in common.  Tagging all your photos in Organizer and optionally also putting them in "albums" is a lot of work up front, but once done, really releases the power of Organizer.
    That's somewhat of a subtle point, and often overlooked by users of all different sorts of database programs, such as recipe managers.  The bottom line is that if you're using a database program, it's completely irrelevant where your data (photos or recipes) are stored or how their filing system storage is structured.  The critical thing is to tag 'em correctly in a way that makes sense to you.  Tags are very cheap in terms of storage space, so the more tags the better -- then you can slice and dice your data in so many versatile ways.
    Another impressive feature of the Organizer database comes into play if you've catalogued photos on removable media, such as CDROMS or external hard drives.  You can still work with the small images in Organizer even when your external media isn't attached.

  • Can a windows trojan/virus affect OSX if run via Wine?

    Hello,
    I'm running Mac OS X 10.9.4 on a Macbook Pro 15" Mid-2010.
    I downloaded an .exe file from an uncertain source to execute it with Wine. When I executed the file, no window appeared, but the CPU fan started working very loud. I know, it was irresponsible, but I'd been encouraged by the belief that no harm can be done to my Mac as the app I was about to run was a Windows app). I killed Wine, but it wouldn't help the loud fan. After about 5 minutes I got a cascade of 3-4 Wine windows showing some error. I made a screenshot (below), killed all the windows, logged out and back in and the fan, after a minute got silent. Is it possible I just got myself malware? And if so, then how to get rid of it?
    The app has been reported on virustotal as containing malware.
