Win2008 에서 win2003으로 sqlplus 접속이 느립니다

[접속환경]
OS : Windows 2008
Client : Oracle Database 10g Client Release 2 (10.2.0.3)
[DB환경]
OS : Windows 2003
DB : Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows

  • DB restore from win2003 IA64 to win2008 x64.

    Hello Guys,
We have this situation where our current PRD is running on the win2003 IA64 (host1) server along with MS SQL 2005.
Now we have done the complete Homogeneous System Copy on a new hardware that has win2008 R2 6.1 x64 (host2) on MS SQL 2005.
Also on the new server the SAP system has been built up as the HA system with MSCS Cluster.
My questions is will the DB restore be successful if I try to restore the backup of the current system (host1) to the new system (host2)?
Or shall I have to do the system copy procedure again?
If I have to do the system copy procedure again--
    1. Do I have to start all over again or only installation of DB instance will suffice?
    2. Do I have to reinstall the CI and DI also?
Pl suggest If anybody has faced this.
    Regards,
    Yuvi.

  • 9.2.0.6 win2003 32bit == 10.2.0.4.36P win2008 R1 64bit

    Hi all,
I am evaluating the upgrade path as described. The db is around 150Gb.
I would like to use RMAN to restore on the new binaries a full backup made in 9.2.0.6.
After restore-recover I would open resetlogs upgrade the db and, after having completed the upgrade to 10.2.0.4.0, I would run catcpu to complete the process.
Some relatively new metalink notes seem to make this process feasible (752986.1 "database migration with os upgrade on windows platform" gives as an example a migration from 32bit oracle 9i on 32bit win2000 to 64bit oracle10g on 64bit win2003).
I know I can test the full process without giving any impact on the production db, but I would be very happy if someone who already tried a similar approach could share his experience.
    Thank you very much,
    Riccardo

For those of you who were interested in the scenario I've described, I am happy to say that the production db migration went very smoothly.
All was done with a minimal downtime (the longest step was running dbms_stats to gather application statistics).

  • Uninstall or Migrate CA from Win2003 DC

I have an old Win2003 DC that has a CA running on it.  I think it was installed specifically for RADIUS use with authenticated Wifi clients on a Cisco WLC.  The Win2003 DC is now the last of the Win2003 Servers on the domain and
am looking at getting everything of value migrated from it so that it can be retired.  In looking at the CA, if I stop the service, I get errors logged on the Win2008 DCs.  So there is something being issued from the Win2003CA in regards to
replication I guess, but not sure, because the certificate that I can see in the console expired earlier this year.  I know that this domain existed without a CA installed anywhere for several years though.
I would like to get the CA off this Server.  Is it possible to just uninstall/decommision the CA and install a new CA on another server or must I migrate this one?  And if I must migrate it, how can I put the CA on a Server
with a different name? I think the only reason that I need a CA at all is for RADIUS use for WiFi authentication.
    Thanks for any help.

if your CA is used only for RADIUS (server certificate), then it is easier to uninstall and decommission CA server and install a new one on a separate server. Also, migration procedure exists too, but it is not that simple. Here are docs for:

  • Sqlplus -s hangs

    hi,
when using sqlplus with s option, sqlplus -s system/my_password
it hangs all the time,(sqlplus system/my_password is ok)
can anyone explain this for me, thanks.
    (win2003,oracle 11g r1)
    Edited by: roy_lau on 2010-1-2 上午11:04

If I remember correctly the '-s' command line switch stands for silent execution of a script.
In that case you would have to be sure that your script ends with an 'exit' (followed by a carriage return).
Also you would want to make sure that your script does not require any user-input, as it will just stop and wait for you to input that.
May be you can run the script without the silent option, and see if it then finishes without you having to enter anything with the keyboard.

  • Listener Issue on Win2003 Server

    Hi,
I have recently installed 10gR2 on a win2003 server which already housed a 9i DB. My listener's are all messed up now and I have no idea how it happened. I created a listener for the 10g and I can connect to the 10g DB but I can not connect to the 9i instance. What is the best practice here? Should I have one listener per home or can I have 1 listener for the whole host (listener running out of the highest HOME level)
    Can someone please advise here?

OK, I am running into a problem here. Check out my two listener files. version 10 is set to Auto and version 9i is set to manual (but I can not start it for some reason)

  • ORA12154 - PROBLEM on Win2008 - domain server

    Hi !
I have problem with Oracle xe on Win2008 - domain server.
Install is ok, tnsping is ok but when i try to connect on server via sqlpus i get 12154 error.
If install server without domain and install Oracle xe is OK if i leater install domain on server Oracle XE work also.
If install server with domain and then Oracle XE i get 12154 error.
    Please for help.
    Leo Lakota

If it is indeed a 12154 (as compared to a 12145, 12514, 12541), it is saying "sqlplus ???/???@entry can not find 'entry' in the tnsnames.ora file on the machine on which sqlplus is running"
Use the system search capability to locate ALL tnsnames.ora files on that machine. Verify that the entry is indeed in all of them.

  • Trying to retire a Win2003 DC that has Certification Authority installed

I think the only reason that I need a CA at all is for RADIUS use in NPS for WiFi authentication.

  • Can not open sqlplus on Oracle10g/OEL5.0

I have installed an Oracle10g database on the OEL5.0 system (not encounter any errors) today. But after finishing the installation, I can not login the sqlplus.
    [root@localhost ~]# sqlplus
    bash: sqlplus: command not found.
When I loged in to the Database Console--->Administration-->Users, it dispayed no accounts table and no any users listed there.
    What is the problem?
    Thank you

    [root@localhost ~]# sqlplus
bash: sqlplus: command not found.I can see two problems here:
    1. You are using root account as default (bad practice)
    2. Shell environment. Your current setting is missing $ORACLE_HOME/bin in PATH variable. You probably set the environment for "oracle" user but I don't think you did the same for "root".

  • Sqlplus fails to start, halting Ora10g install on WinXP

    Hello,
I've been trying to install Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1 on Windows XP SP2 all day. The problem is, sqlplus crashes (creating a Windows app crash dialog) during the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant step. Clicking "Don't Send" on the crash window will simply create another "SQL*PLUS has encountered a problem and needs to close" error. In other words, I can't escape the sqlplus crash, as it appears that the installer won't rest until it runs sqlplus.
Note that I have tried to run sqlplus from the command line during this process, and I receive the same crash notice.
The installActions log file contains this at the end:
INFO: Configuration assistant "Oracle Net Configuration Assistant" succeeded

The error in the Windows Event Log is this:
Faulting application sqlplus.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.
I'm not sure what else to include, please let me know what else you might need.
Thanks for your help. I've tried many different paths through the installer, always running into this same problem. Any advice on how to get past this sqlplus crash would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much,
    Seth

    Hello,
I did not have any problem setting up 2 different oracle versions on one Windows machine.
    a) First I installed 10g R2 with a default database ORCL

  • Getting sqlplus and odbc connection to work

I'm looking to automate some data extraction activities either through a windows batch file or set up a data connection in an excel spreadsheet. I've installed (I think) the instant client, but, I'm not seeing any programs to run in my start>All Programs list except Microsoft ODBC Administrator and sqlplus does not work when typed at the command prompt (sqlplusw neither).
Not sure what I should do next...thanks for looking and your help.
I currently use sql server and access and have set odbc connections and connections to sql server in excel.
    Here's what the inventory shows:
    Inventory contents of (my-computer):

sqlplus working, had the wrong path, but, not connecting. I did save a copy of the tnsnames.ora from another machine. Here's what it shows, below, I think I need to use the LDAP adapter, but, not sure how to make it use that, sqlnet.ora is:
    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)
    NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (LDAP, TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)
    ----command line results------
    C:\>tnsping POST_DBSR.xxx.ourcompany.COM

    Used parameter files:
    D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_2\network\admin\sqlnet.ora
Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias
