Sorry - should have been more specific. As far as I can see, Keynote will only allow me to see the current slide and the next slide on my laptop when I am presenting a slideshow through a projector. But an old version of PowerPoint allowed me to show the current slide....and (adjustable) many more slides ahead (say 10)....so I could simply jump ahead to a 'future' slide and skip several slides in between. Net result being that I was able to matcgh my slides to group discussions rather than stick to a fixed, predetermined slide show.
As much as it pains me, without this facility - PowerPoint (old verson, not current one) is more useful for me! :-((

I was wondering, is there a way to use your fingerprint in place of a password for other uses other than logging into windows? Some uses would be internet email {specifically gmail), logging into web forums (like this one). Maybe (this is probably hopeful thinking) configure your fingerprint to includepersonal data when filling out forums such as address, DOB, phone number, etc. I will be using Firefox almost exclusively, but if theres a solution for IE i'll listen too.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

HT3053 I have a 13inch MacBook Pro and when I switch it on the apple logo appears then a slot and the circular symbol which is turning and then before opening the home screen it switches off again. Is there a sequence that I can use to force it to load.

I have got a 13 inch MacBook Pro and it got stuck in a loop so I switched it off by holding the power button down and now when I switch it on the apple logo appears then I get a blank slot at the bottom of the screen then the circle appears and rotates and then it switches off again, I have tried starting it again with the system disc that came with it when it was new but it makes no difference. Take it to whoever replaced the screen and see if they can help you.
iPhones are not user servicable and Apple does not sell iPhone parts at all. I'd be surprised if you were actually able to back it up at this point. It sounds like it's completely borked.

It's not designed to work like this. When you sync, the iPod stores some information that basically says 'this iPod belongs to computer xyz'. Apple did this to prevent copyright issues (syncing someone else's music).
If you really want to do this, you'll have to at least tie both iTunes installations to the same account. Maybe have them sync with each other.

I have tried to follow all the steps correctly. I presently have on itunes 2 entries:
1. song.m4r with this highlighted on info screen but song location.m4a on summary screen. I have enetered "OK" several times.
2. song no suffix on info screen but song location .m4r.mp3 on summary screen
After syncing I then go a contact and edit it. Trying to change ringtone does not give me an option for the ringtone that I created only those that were preloaded. Is there something that I need to do here? The ringtone (at least one of them) does appear in my song list and I can play it. I don't know how to check for its properties on the iphone.

The Ipad is on a short cable to my projector. I am usually on a podium 30 feet away. No infra red receiver on the IPad and
the Iphone remote needs wi fi which is not always available in all the locations I do my teaching and lecturing in.

There are many note-taking apps available in the iTunes Store that can be synched between a computer and an iPod in one way or another, many from iTunes and some from on-line services such as Dropbox. GoodReader is one I use, but there are many others. Alternatively, if you have a Mac with OS X 10.7 you could use Pages on the computer and iPod and sync with iCloud (some other apps use iCloud for synching as well). Or you can just email a text document to yourself and open that on your iPod.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.

You can try using [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-zoom Zoom]. This will increase/decrease the size of everything on the page. You can try hitting ''CTRL and +'' a few times to try it out. ''CTRL and 0'' will return it to normal size.
