Win7 x64, Not recognizing GoFlex Home as DRIVE, PLEASE HELP!.

Bought GoFlex Home 3TB, plugged into Cisco WRT310N V2, w/ Desktop PC (Win 7 64bit) does not recognize the drive. Get NETWORK ERROR "Windows cannot access \\goflex_home" Error Code: 0x80070035.  Can not map netork drive. Under Win Explorer the drive DOES appear as "GoFlex Home:UPNP-AV" in TWO places, 1) under Media Devices & 2) Under Storage. Bother places are treated as MEDIA because, when I click on either of them it opens Windows Media Player!  I can type in the IP address in BOTH IE & WIn Explorer and it will take me to the web page for the drive, where i can log in and create users, add folderes, etc.  I WANT TO USE THIS AS A BACK-UP DRIVE, but can't get WINDOWS TO RECOGNIZE IT.  I have turned off McAfee and still have same problem. PLEASE HELP!

Make sure that your ip assetings were correct. You can try to setup a static ip parameters on your computer then check if it will work.

  • IPod not recognized by Windows or iTunes- Please Help!!!

I have had my ipod mini since last summer and so far it has worked flawlessly. However, recently, when I connect my iPod to my computer, it does not charge and is not recognized as being plugged it at all.
The iPod displays a battery icon although it does not move. I read on the site that this is because the battery is low and needs up to 30 minutes charging time for it to be recognized. However, I have had the iPod plugged in for much longer than this and it still is unrecognized.
Also, every once and a while, the display shifts from the static battery icon into the APPPLE icon. Along with the icon, the iPod itself makes a strange mechanical noise. It sounds something like "doo-di-doo-di-doo-di" Then it displays the SAD IPOD icon with the apple.com/support/ipod website underneath, before starting the cycle over again.
I have tried everything on the site, including putting it in disk mode (which didn't work).
Is it perhaps an internal problem? I don't understand why a perfetly good ipod would stop working all of a sudden. It is still covered by the warranty it came with on purchase, so if it needs fixing, will apple fix it at no cost?
    Any help is appreciated!!
      Windows XP

If you have tried everything in these articles, then it needs service.
    iPod battery doesn't charge.
    Sad iPod icon.
What does this picture on my iPod mean?
PC doesn't recognize the iPod is connected.
The sad iPod icon is usually indicative of a hard drive problem, and if under warranty will be repaired/replaced free of charge, although after 6 months of the warranty has expired there is a handling charge.

  • Not recognized by Itunes or Windows (please help)

When I connect the Ipod, I get a connect/disconnect sound simultaneously. When I connect other items into those same ports, I just get a connect. I have tried everything listed here.
This started after I mistakenly erased some files on my computer. Many of the songs in Itunes have ! beside them, because the song files are no longer on my computer.
I am only worried about getting my Ipod to be recognized, so that I can download the new purchased music.

    1. Open control panel in the start menu
    2. Click on performance and maintainence
    3. Click on system
    4. Click on the hardware tab
    5. Click device manager
    6. Click on view
    7. Click Show hidden devices
    8. Scroll down and open up the Universal serial bus controller (USB) tab.
    9. Look for a device with a yellow circle and an ! inside it.
    10. Double click it.
    11. Post Back and tell me what is in the device status box.

What have you tried so far?
    Different USB port?
    Different iPod cable (if possible)
Reboot the computer and open iTunes before plugging in the iPhone?

  • Time capsule not recognizing Toshiba external hard drive

I have a new time capsule unit.  it is up and running and works great.  I bought a Toshiba 1TB external drive and plugged into the usb port on time capsule.  I restarted Time capsule and it does not show up on my Macbook air anywhere (just bought this week).  i plugged the Toshiba directly into the Mac Book and it recognizes it just fine, but not recognizing through Time capsule.  Please help!
    thanks!

Is the Toshiba drive formatted HFS+ without guid partition. If not redo the format.
Not all USB devices are recognised on the TC.. you sometimes have to use a powered hub. even though the hard disk is powered.. even then there can be usb chips the TC is not able to recognise as it has a limited number of drivers.

WE know Disk Warrior is more reliable, hence more useful, and should be in any disk mechanics toolchest.
For the record, I don't know anything of the kind. I have yet to see evidence that Disk Warrior is useful at all.
What I do know is that you seem to take every opportunity you get to promote it in these forums. Do you work for Alsoft?
Let me be a little more explicit. My opinion is that Disk Warrior is a waste of money if one has backups. If a journaled HFS directory is so badly corrupted that it can't be repaired by Disk Utility, then the volume should be reformatted and restored from backup, which has the same effect as running DW, but is probably faster and doesn't cost $99.

I cannot download updates to Photoshop Elements 9.  I get an error message that my serial number is not recognized or eligible.  Can you help with this?

    Hi,
Which operating system are you running on?
What updates are you trying to download?
The last update was 9.0.3 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Photoshop Elements
The last supported Camera raw is ACR 6.5 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-ins -> Camera Raw
Do you have a reason to update?

You said "The messages i received when i did not have signal are not showing up."
How do you know received them?

  • IPhone is not recognizing my finger "swipe"...HELP

My iPhone seems frozen. I can click the main "round" button on the bottom of the phone so the screen lights up. From there I try to "swipe" my finger accross the bottom to open my phone & nothing! It does not recognize my finger swipe. Please help me!

Try the basic troubleshooting steps described in the [User Guide|http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_iOS4_UserGuide.pdf] (sett page 242):
    Restart phone
    Reset phone (no data loss)
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup (no data loss)
Restore phone in iTunes as a new iPhone, without using a backup.
If the last step doesn't help, there is a hardware failure that needs evaluation by Apple.
FYI, that "main round button at the bottom" is called the Home button. The User Guide is your friend.

  • I replaced the original hdd in my early 2008 iMac.  I can't move my files that were backed up with Time Machine to my new hdd using Migration Assistant.  When prompted to select the "from drive", the ext. hhd does not appears as a selection. Please help!!

I'd recommend staring over, Pondini has created an excellent guide on how to use Setup Assistant. I'd recommend begin reading Pondini Setup Assistant tips where he talks about "Second Chance." Assuming your Time Machine backup is sound the restore  should be very smooth.

    Hi sayla,
When you reloaded your software did you do a clean reload (deleting all data)? http://bbry.lv/bpv7DT
If so, you might try doing a resettofactory using the following instructions. http://bit.ly/fMW9I4 This will reset to factory default.
