It would appear there is no such beast.  They had to stop making drivers for DOS at some point, too.

  • Searching Windows Drivers for 23" Display

    Hi,
I got a 23" Cinema Display and I'm using Windows XP.
There is still a "Default Monitor" shown in preferences. Where do I get the correct drivers, so I can set the frequency to more than 60 Hz?
I would appreciate a download link or something where I can find the windows drivers for the Cinema Display.
    Cheers,
    Oli

You can try WinACD drivers (google for it). LCD panels aren't like CRT monitors and are supposed to run at 60Hz, so there's no reason or way to change it.

  • Drivers for onboard soundcard - Compaq Presario 6350us

I wanted to give this old computer a fresh start, but didn't have the recovery disks.  I did have a new version of Windows XP Pro and installed that to "start over" with this computer (the computer came with Windows XP).
Obviously the drivers for the monitor, printer, etc needed to be added after the new OS was installed.  The only problem I've had is with the sound card.
I can't seem to get it working.  In the device manager, the "multimedia" device shows an error - it doesn't recognize any device.  No device is available in the sound settings.
I've downloaded the files that the Compaq support website say I need for this specific model (Realtek I believe) but it doesn't have any effect.
I also went to the website of the sound device and tried to download their drivers - didn't work.  The download happens, the "install" happens, and it prompts me to re-start the computer, and after I do - nothing different.
    Help?!

    Hello @cakey,
I understand that you are looking for information on the optical drive that came in the Compaq Presario 6350us Desktop PC. The optical drive is a IDE DVD-ROM optical drive - 16x-max speed (Carbon) and the part number for it is 5187-1941. This is all the information I can find on this part you can try an online search for more information using the part number if you need to.
I hope it helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • No drivers for onboard CMI9880 (Windows 7)

    Hello!
I´ve readed the previous posts about this, but none of the proposed solutions worked for me. :-(
I´ve tryied the drivers from my OEM manufacturer (MSI motherboard MS-7058), from Intel (chipsets 915P, ICH6 and 82801) and from
    C-Media ones (CMI9880 for XP).
Then tryied what people says could be Vista compatible ones: UDAX (CMI8768), Realtek (ALC260, 655, 883), SigmaTel and IDT.
And searched in the listings for Windows Vista Compatibility of course. But no luck.
Windows hardware administrator refuses to install any of these. Sometimes saying the most updated one is already installed (Intel High Definition Audio)
and sometimes says the driver isn´t compatible with my hardware.
I really need mic input. And if possible, but not essential Digital optical sound output. Basic stereo analog sound is ok.
    I´m using Windows 7 RC1 Esp (spanish).
I think 4~5 years hardware isn´t too old. I don´t want to buy a new audio card.
If somebody knows about a compatible driver for my onboard CMI9880 for Win7, yell something please!!! ;-)
    Thank you!
    Fernando.

    Hello Fernando,
First you might keep windows update regularly to obtain the latest driver for your device. Note: Drivers on the Windows Update site are directly provided by hardware manufacturers. Microsoft tests drivers in various environments before they are published; however, we cannot guarantee all drivers will work on all hardware platforms as there are too many different models, although their hardware ID are the same as the standard version. In some cases, due to hardware modifications by different manufacturers, the driver updates may cause some error.
Meanwhile, please understand that Windows 7 is a new operating system and whole driverstore has been reprogrammed; you might wait for another period of time till the retail version is released and push the vendor company to upgrade their device driver. Thanks for your time and understanding!
For more details, please look at the first Sticky thread at the top of this forum.
What can I do if my hardware does not work?
This will give you some guidelines.
    Good Luck!

  • Drivers for onboard Creative so

I have Soundblaster Li've! 24-bit onboard sound. Are the drivers available from Creative suitable for the onboard version of the chip or would I be better off going with the drivers available from the motherboard manufacturer(MSI) even though they are a bit older than the ones from Creative?

Go Manufacturer all the way, pal.

  • Where can i find Display drivers for Portege 3480CT?

My Portege 3480 CT has been reloaded with ME after problems with Windows XP. Now i cant find suitable drivers for the Display wich only starts in 16 colour mode with a extremely small screene. I can not find any suitable drivers for my notebook except an update of BIOS on Toshibas homepage. Is my Notebook to old? I think its 5 years.
    /Conny Bron

    Hi Conny
Win ME was never a supported OS on this model. Try either the Win98 or Win2000 driver. You might have to 'force' the driver into the system.
    Good luck

  • MS6178 Onboard Sound Drivers for Win98?

    Hi,
I recently had to install Windows 98 (1st edition) on my computer and am having difficulties locating the Drivers for the Onboard Sound for this particular version of Windows and my MS 6178 Mainboard.  I have managed to find them for Windows 98SE and attempted to install those ones, but it keeps on telling me that my OS is the wrong version.  I have searched this website, but just cannot find any for Win 98, and not for Win98SE.  Can anyone here help?  Thanks!

    Try http://www.Driversguide.com
Use the basic search enter Soundmax and set the operating system to Win98.
You should find what you're after.
    Try http://members.driverguide.com/index.php?action=dosearch&qm0=soundmax&qa7=1399&dp=2&sm=b&jmd=and&fzz=d
you have to register firts, but it costs noothing (and there's no junk email)

  • Can't find drivers for display

Hi, I can't found drivers for display Toshiba TruBrite.
That's why I had frequnce on display only 60 Hz.
Could you help me with this trouble?

LCD technology is different and cannot be compared to old monitors. LCD displays work on 60 Hz refresh rate and this value is fixed. It cannot be changed.
Doe to this fact you cannot change it.
I don't understand what you mean with display definition but if the right (Toshiba offered) driver is preinstalled everything will be OK. There is nothing that must be defined. Absolutely nothing.
TrueBrite or not there is nothing to be defined.
So if the display driver is preinstalled and if you use right display resolution everything is OK.
Be happy and have fun with your toy. ;)

Did you download and install the Windows Support software? If you did, did you use the Boot Camp Control icon to set up the trackpad how you want it?

  • Where can I find new display drivers for Satellite P100

    Hello,
i need new display drivers for my Notebook (Satellite P100), but it's only Version 84.0 to download.
I need version 162.0 or higher.
On Nvidia Web-Site is the new 167.0 beta, but does it work with my system?

The Toshiba graphic drivers on the Toshiba European driver page are not the same like the original graphic driver from the graphic card manufacturers.
Therefore you cannot compare the driver version numbers!
Generally the graphic driver which appears on the Toshiba page is the newest Toshiba driver.
    Best regards

    Hi MichalDyzma,

  • Satellite A500 - Can't find display drivers for Windows 7

I'm unable to find the video drivers for Satellite A500-1C0, P/N: PSAR3E for the Windows 7 x86.
I tried on the Nvidia website, they recommended the manufacturer's website....

    Hi
Normally you can get all drivers here:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
I have checked this and it seems that at the moment are no 32bit Windows 7 drivers available.
What you can do now is searching for other display drivers. Maybe another Toshiba notebook has the same graphic card and there are Windows 7 drivers released.
Otherwise you could try the Vista 32bit drivers. Normally they also work on Windows 7.

    Hi
The A200 was delivered with the Intel cards and wit nVidia cards!!! So everything right on the Toshiba driver page.
If you are looking for an nVidia graphic driver I would recommend searching on the Toshiba Canada site.

    Furthermore you can visit this 3rd party driver websites which provide also any nVidia graphic drivers for laptops;

  • Display drivers for windows 10

    Hello,
I just upgraded to Windows 10 and now I am facing Display issues and there are no display drivers for my machine..
    What should I do now?

I am having the same problem withmy display adaptors after updating to windows 10. I can't find any fix online. I think HP has not yet built an update for my driver. If anyone can help, please HELP!!! my driver is an AMD Radeon HD 8400 R3 Series.

  • AMD display drivers for A8-3500M APU with Radeon Graphics

Hey guys, I hope you're all doing well today!
I have recently installed a fresh version of Windows 7 on my laptop and I'm having a bit of a strange experience with Windows Update.
I went to the AMD website and downloaded the latest version (4/15/14) of the diplay driver that is for my processor and display card; things seemed to work great, however when I ran Windows update there was an "optional update" for the same driver from 2011! I mean, to me that is absurd! Why is this showing up? Have I done something incorrectly?
    anyway I have a HP Pavilion dv6, 8gb ram, 64-bit, SP1, yada-yada.

    Hey @SparkyCompTech ,
Welcome back to the HP Forums!
I see you have questions about the optional Windows update for your graphics card drivers.
The Windows updates are not meant to be the most recent drivers for your product. You will always find the most recent drivers from the manufacturers website, hence why most of these type of updates are entirely optional. You have done nothing wrong.
If you wish, you can hide the optional update.
To hide updates in Windows 7:
    1. Click Start.
    2. Type Update in the search.
    3. Click Windows Update.
    4. Click Check for updates.
    5. Click on # important updates are available. Where # is the number of available updates.
    6. Right click on the update and choose Hide update. If the update is not shown, click the Optional tab on the left.
    Hopefully this helps!
Please click the "Kudos, Thumbs Up" at the bottom of this post if you want to say "Thanks" for helping!
