Wind 6667BB-004US, blinking power supply light, no power?

So, I bought a Windbox Barebones Nettop this week.  I came home from work today, and tried to turn the machine on; no luck.  Nothing happens.  If I hold in the power button for awhile... still nothing.  Unplug the power cord, plug it back in, no change.  Unplug everything besides the power cord, unplug the power cord, plug only the power cord back in, still no change.
Box is effectively dead.
The light on the external power supply flashes about twice a second.  If I unplug the power supply from the machine, the light on the power supply is a steady green.
Dead power supply?  Any ideas?  Help, anyone?

Take it back to the shop and ask them to exchange it.
Was hoping it was something I was doing wrong, or some reset button I didn't know about, or anything; mailing it back tomorrow, should have a replacement in a week or two.
(Thanks!  Just wanted to make a last check that I didn't overlook something obvious.)

  • WRT54GS v1.0 Firmware needed, Blinking Power Light

No download available and none available via Linksys Live Chat or FTP and having spent the best part of the week trying to find relevant firmware on other forums I decided to come here to get answers to the following questions, hopefully from version 1.0 experienced owners or not.
#1. Can the firmware of version 2.0 and 3.0 be reduced to flash version 1.0?
#2. When diagnosing the blinking power light issue by connecting directly to the router and the network card using "ping -t 192.168.1.xxx" which network address do I use, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 to 2xx?
I get a reply using 192.168.1.1 but I'm not sure that helps when using the TFTP Utility if it's the wrong address on my Laptop to ping?
Anyway I'm stuffed without the right firmware anyway so I need your help with that first please, anyone with UNBRICKING knowledge.
    All Help Much Appreciated

Thanks Stephanie67, below is what I found. It appears to be the correct firmware by the description anyway. Do you know if this firmware is loaded the same way via the web interface like the firmware provided by Linksys?

  • Blinking power light

My Mac Pro 1.1 would not start, the power light would blink continuously. I read a previous post about reseating ram which I did without any change. I read on another forum that the blinking power is due a start up ram check that has found a problem so I removed all the modules (2gb x 8) and restarted with one module at a time and the next to last of course was the one that created the blinking light. It has been going bad for some time in retrospect since the Mac is faster with 12 gb than it was with 16. The module has a lifetime warrenty, will see how good the vendor is. NParr

All OK after replacing the bad RAM. The vendor was very helpful (OWC). np

  • Wireless TV connect blinking power light

I have a Wireless TV Connect.  Recently the TV adapter shows a blinking POWER light.  I know the LINK light will blink as it searches for the PC adapter.  However, this is the power light.  The LINK light for the TV adapter is always off.  I didn't see any explanation of a blinking power light in the Quick Setup guide.  What does a blinking power light for the TV adapter mean?

Read the technical support pages for your router model. There is an article on the blinking power light somewhere. It describes in detail how to load a new firmware to the router using tftp. Try this procedure.
If it fails try to do what I have posted here.

  • How can I fix this red blinking SYS LED light?

I am having problems with the extender losing signal and the GPS turns red and the SYS light is slow blinking red.  I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with a Verizon tech who had me unplug it and just pretty much said "Sorry, there nothing we can do"!!!!  This is happening several times a day for the past 2 weeks.

I am having the same problem with a blinking red sys light and red gps light. The system has been working fine for months and without my changing anything at all, it stopped working yesterday. I am using the correct power supply. I have powered off and on the gateway and the extender several times. My zip is 94306 (although Verizon shows my device as nearby Los Altos 94022 where I think the tower might be). I have AT&T Uverse as my ISP with a standard 2wire modem/router gateway 3800HGV-B. • WRTU54G-TM Blinking Power Button

I just signed up for T-Mobile @Home service that included a Linksys WRTU54G-TM router. I got it at 10:00am this morning. After setting everything up, everything was working fine. I was able to browse the internet and check e-mail on my desktop (connected via cable). However, when I tried to connect my laptop (wireless) I couldn't connect because of incorrect security credentials. SO I unplugged the router (to just restart it) and plugged it back in. BUT now the power button in constantly blinking and I cannot ping the router or get to the router's startup page (192.168.0.1). I spent 3 hours unplugging, holding down reset button, letting it blink itself to death... Then I decided to return the router to T-Mobile and got another one. Everything worked fine - except for when I set security settings (WPA-Personal 2) my laptop saw an unsecured network. So me, in my infinite wisdom unplugged the router and ... AGAIN, Im stuck with a blinking power light and no way to ping the router or anything. Holding down reset button does NOTHING. Please help!!! -Paul

Well if the power light is blinking on the router then try resetting the router for 1 complete minute & then do a complete network power cycle & check if the light is not solid green try another power adapter if you have & check out if it works fine....if not then if its a new router replace it back to store.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

  • Balnk scrren, blinking caps lock light

dv6 laptop showing black display when turned on, caps lock light blinking. I tried unplugging the power cord, removed battery as suggested, however, problem persists.
    This question was solved.

    Hi Suzieg,
I understand you’re getting a blank display when you turn on your laptop.
You mentioned the caps lock light blinking when you turn the computer on. Here is a link that will allow you to check and see if the blinking of those lights on the notebook, match what you see in this link . A lot of the time the lights can blink in a certain pattern, I would like you to take a look at the listing of blink codes and let me know if the laptop  lights are blinking in that nature.
When you open the link go down to the section titled “ LED's near Caps Lock and Number Lock keys blink when starting notebook”.
Please respond back with your results.

  • Cannot clear blinking low ink lights on Deskjet F4180

printer won't print.  Attention black light is blinking and E light is on.
Installed refilled cartridges and still have the problem.  Is there a solution
short of buying a new printer?

Hi Conniejb, and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are having ink issues.  I would like to help with that.
These issues and errors can be caused by having refilled ink.  HP does not recommend using anything but HP genuine ink.  I would recommend installing HP genuine ink.
I would also recommend referring to this document on Blinking Lights.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

pavilion dv6 blank screen caps lock light on blinking F11 F12 light on (red)

    Hello kiranreddy,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that your Notebook is not starting, that you have a blank screen and flashing LED's. I will try to help you with this.
I would like you to start with this document: Computer Does Not Start and the LEDs Blink or the Computer Beeps. This will help to try to identify if the Notebook is providing an error code. If it is, it will also provide steps to attempt to resolve the issue.
Please let me know how you make out with this. If you require further assistance with this please provide the Model and Product numbers for your Notebook. (How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?)
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

  • IMac G5 blinking power light / won't turn on

When my iMac G5 is hooked up to power, the power light (front bottom right panel) faintly blinks once every 2 seconds or so. The monitor is not on at all, and the computer does not appear to be running (no sounds).
All other devices hooked up to that particular power outlet are working fine, and pressing the power button does nothing. Holding the power button down halts the blinking, but when I let go the blinking resumes.
I have also tried removing all devices attached to the computer, including the keyboard and mouse.
This machine was working fine on friday, but when I came back into work today (monday) the machine was 'off' and nothing I do seems to cause any change.
    Very confused, any help appreciated.

It may be that your Power Supply Unit is failing, look at the suggestions here, try them and if nothing works, call Apple. If you have a Rev A, you may qualify for the Repair Extension Program. (sorry to assume you didn't know about sleep, sometimes very basic things are not known to posters).
Please let me know how you make out,
    Miriam

  • SERVER PROLIANT DL380 G5 Blinking Power Lights

Was hoping someone could help with an issue that has started happening.  We recently updated the UPS backups to our server/phone systems and seem to be having problems when the UPS goes to battery power.  The server crashes and the power light on the back of the server starts to blink (which is not an option on what the lights are supposed to do in the manual).  The fans also seem to go a bit haywire also (rev up, then off).
when on normal power they are green, but when on battery they blink.  I don't think it is a server issue, but possibly the output wave generated by the UPS.  Has anyone come across anything similar?  The UPS (there are 2/one for each power supply on the server) keeps all the other systems up and running (phones/network ports).  The server is the only one that seems to not like the battery power.  Load on each UPS is less than 20% when I unplug the UPS to force it to battery power.

  • A15-S127 Laptop Blinking Power Light

I just purchased a new power supply for the Toshiba A15-S127 (old) laptop I have. It was working fine yesterday, it booted up and I was able to do some disk clean-up from 'add/remove programs' to remove several unused programs.
But today, I plugged it back in and the Amber Power LED just blinks and it will not power up.
It blinks 4 short, 1 long, 2 short before repeating.
I have removed the battery several times in-case it needed to be cleared.
I was unsuccessful in finding anything in the help pages for this BIOS message. Does anyone know or can you point me to a link that tells me what this means and why it will not turn on?
    Thanks in advance!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have had it unplugged since yesterday, and the amber power light continues to blink.
But, its changed to 4 short, 1 long, 3 short blinks.
Anyone know where I can find the BIOS light blinking error messages on this laptop?
