WIND E IOS

Ciao a tutti,
Grazie anticipatamente.

I spoke with the carrier and he told me that the cause of the malfunction is due to Apple and OS 5.0.1  ...
Tomorrow I have an appointment at the Genius Bar.
Let's see what they say.
I'll let you know.
Thanks

My weather app doesn't show the feels like temp or wind, etc.  How can I fix this?  I am running iOS 8.1.2.

is that really what it is?  this is the native iphone weather app.  the funny part is that when i use the actual weather channel app, it does provide it.
is this an api issue with the weather channel and the iphone then?  i guess there's no fix?
thanks for your help by the way.

  • Why the 3G connection with Wind don't work on iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0)??

Why the 3G connection with Wind don't work on iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0)??

Because Wind is not an officially supported iPhone carrier and Apple warns that using an iPhone on a non-supported carrier's network may mean that some features may not be available or work at all.

  • Ios 7.1 hotspot disappoint on wind SIM card

Ho aggiornato il mio IPhone 4 con ios 7.1 ed ho notato che non funziona + hotspot con SIM Wind
    Aiutoooo

    Remove your SIM
Try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
    Reinsert the SIM
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • I cant send mms since i updated to ios 8 with wind mobile

i cant send mms since i updated to ios 8 with wind mobile

    Hey beastlyhippo,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you are having trouble with MMS messages. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
If you can't send and receive MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    An iPhone 3G or later
    iOS 3.1 or later
A cellular data connection (MMS isn't available if you're using only Wi-Fi)
A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You might need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact (Contact your carrier for more information.)
A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network that is different from your billing cellular provider's network (Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.)
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you're roaming on a cellular provider network that is different from your billing provider's network.
Make sure that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar of your iPhone.
Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
Make sure that you can send and receive SMS. If you can't send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above. MMS might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    Restart your iPhone.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
Remove your SIM card and insert it again.
If you still can't send or receive MMS, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you're sending a group message.
Make sure that you're using the area code with the contact's phone number. When you send messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
If you're using a "Pay as you go" MMS plan, make sure it has enough available balance. If you're unsure of your MMS plan or available balance, contact your carrier.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact from the Contacts app. Send a new message to the new contact.
Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process might not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
Contact your carrier to verify that you're provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
Contact your carrier to verify that there aren't blocks or filters on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
Your carrier might require modified APN settings to use MMS.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Mario

  • How do I upgrade from iOS 4 to new iOS without losing my app data

Hi, I am still on iOS 4, and I understand that I need to erase my iPad before upgrading. But I don't want to lose the game data stored locally, particularly the candy crush. :) is there a way to preserve those data while upgrading?

    I agree with Meg.
If you drill down in that HT4972 article you provided, you will eventually wind up on the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 article which says in part (under iTunes will back up the following information):
App Store Application data including in-app purchases (except the Application itself, its tmp and Caches folder).
    You should be fine.
UPDATE - Here are drill down details from HT4972:
    Go to
If you are attempting to update using a Mac or PC with which you normally sync
Go to  Back up your device by syncing it with your Mac or PC first
Go to iOS device backups preserve your settings, the Camera Roll (or Saved Pictures), and other important data. Learn more about what is stored in a backup.

  • IOS 8 RAW Support - Photos Resized

Can anyone else confirm this possible bug?
Importing JPG+RAW files using the Camera Connector on iOS 8 resizes the RAW files to the exact same file size as the JPG.
This ends up being about a 50% reduction in RAW file size.
At this point I have no idea how the photos are affected - they look similar in the Photos App, however when transferred to a network drive they are clearly reduced in size.
    Anyone else seeing this?

Can't seem to delete or edit my previous response, so just disregard it. After further investigation, the following is more accurate.
I am experiencing exactly the same thing, which leads me to suspect you are also exporting files to Dropbox using PhotosInfoPro. iOS 8 has broken this app, and several others, where RAW+jpg bundles are concerned. When exported, the RAW+jpg bundle winds up the same size as the jpg alone because IT IS the jpg alone (albeit with a different file extension). The RAW sensor data just ain't there. So all those "RAW" files you have been backing up to Dropbox since the advent of iOS 8 aren't RAW files at all. They're just jpegs in disguise. I just figured this out today (via experiments too lengthy to detail here) and I'm ready to throttle someone. Many of my RAW images, which I deleted from the camera cards and from my iPad because I thought they were safely stored in Dropbox, are now simply gone.
The good news - if there is any good news at all in this mess - is that the RAW data is actually still there in the RAW+jpg files you still have in the Photo app on your iPad. iOS broke both PhotosInfoPro and Photogene, but PhotoRaw is still able to read and decode the RAW data. So it's definitely there. But trying to transfer it to cloud backup buggers it. I've tried several methods with both Dropbox and Google Drive. Export a RAW+jpg pair to the cloud and import it back to the iPad, and PhotoRaw can't deal with it. It doesn't even recognize it as either a RAW file or a jpg.
Bottom line? It's totally hosed up. Just another thing that was working fine that iOS 8 has now broken.

  • Since iOS 7 update I am no longer able to connect to Opel Insignia navi cd 500 system via cable. The system is no longer recognizing my iPhone 4. Is there any solution?

First time I connected after an update, there was a message on the phone that this accessory is no longer supported. After that there were no more messages and car's display is showing the message "no USB device connected" even though iPhone is connected to a cable. It was working fine on iOS 3, 4, 5 and 6.

You clearly did not notice that you have joined a USER TO USER COMMUNITY FORUM
This is NOT Apple ,Apple do not read nor do they  therefore respond
So if you would like to wind your neck in ........................
try a reset of iPhone and then a restore, best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup

  • IPhone 4S is loosing connection "no signal" - "searching" after iOS 5.0.1 update

Before the upgrade My Iphone was well, without problem, but yesterday 11/nov/11  I decided upgrade to ios 5.0.1 and my problems began, just when finished the upgrade my phone didn´t recognize my Sim, so i turbed off an on and the problem dessapered, but then discovered I cant make calls or recive, Everytime I try to make a call its say "Call Fails" and then begin "SERCHING" and restore signal but still cant make calls after 4 or 5  times can make a call, or show "NO SIGNAL" then "SERCHING"  and restore signal. I`m very sure is not my sim is not my phone and its not my carrier because i use internet by 3g without a problem but when I try to make a call the problems begin, and there ar a lot of peope arround the world with my problem, I have tried restoring it 10 times "really" to the factory settings in itunes but it still has the same problems. We need ios 5.0.0 back or selve ios 5.0.1 as soon as possible and I trying to say FAST because I pay so much money for a phone who works like an ipod.  if the problem persist I sell my iphone and buy another with Android, its awful but if apple dont solve this, my change is sure.

Unfortunately the problem doesn't seem to be related with the SIM but with the mobile network operator used. Today I've found many articles about this problem. I'm Italian and I use the "Wind" network. It seems that some operator, as Wind, don't cooperate directly with Apple so, in these cases, they could have these kinds of problems and they need a few days to solve them. Thanks to the high diffusion of iPhone, I'm trustful this situation will solved soon by the operator, otherwise I reluctantly have to change it (the operator).

  • In IOS 7 how do you forward text messages?

In IOS 7 How do you forward a text message?

Yea, I figured it out as well but they screwed this ALL up.  I get 100's of texts a day from Solar winds!  NOW, to forward I have to do this on EVERY friggen text I NEED to forward to my IT staff!
Then, there's the issue on DELETING texts!   In the past, you could either hit the "edit" button and then the delete the message OR swipe your finger to the right across the text (where you could see ALL your received texts) and a DELETE button would appear and you could delete texts.
I've always wanted the texts to work as the email does.  You could click the edit button and then check off the text you wished to delete to make it even faster.  But NO, they made it a complete pain in the a&&!
Please fix back like it was or better Apple!!!!

  • I have an iPhone 4 and the iOS 4.3.5 download keeps failing - error states its corrupted.

I have an iPhone 4 and the iOS 4.3.5 download keeps failing.  It downloads then I get a message stating that the download was corrupted and couldn't be installed.  I've tried it with bitdefender switched off.  I've tried it with it in airplane mode.  My partner has tried to update their iPhone on a different computer to mine and is also getting the same problem and error message.  Help!

That's exactly right.  And since you have a MacBook Air (as I do), that means the synching should occur just fine (if you've set it up right in iTunes).  In other words, once you actually do the update, the iTunes on your MacBook Air will re-sync your photos back to your iPhone.
Basically, the process is that your iPhone gets backed up, wiped clean, then the new iOS version gets installed, then the backup gets restored.  That will restore everything in the article above, which does not include your photos.  But the sync process that happens after the iOS installation would restore your photos from iPhoto given you've set it up that way in iTunes.
When you have your iPhone plugged into iTunes, while looking at the iPhone's summary page, click "Photos" on the right side of iTunes to see how you have your sync set up.
Regardless, it sounds like you'll be fine!  Your photos will wind up in iPhoto once you place them there.  They will be safe there.

  • Siri on iPhone 4 under iOS 6

Does Sire work an an iPhone 4 under iOS 6?  The Siri screen on Apple's website seems to imply it will.

    Thanks Dialagranny...
No, I'm not geekish enough to even know what a JBed 4 is, nor whether it is firmware or (as I suspect) software. My iPhone is bog standard, and I finally threw caution to the winds and fixed the problem by restoring the device... it took 3 hours, but at least it restored while I slept.
And if you look around, it isn't that rare a bug (people often confuse assertions with knowledge on the internet!). Anecdotally, I know a lot of people who have experienced all sorts of different problems upgrading to iOS 6.1, and the web has quite a few examples out there. Maybe a frustrated response is indeed pathetic (after all, I can't control any new software releases, can I?), but I resent software developers deciding like little demigods what people need... mostly the reason for an upgrade is to sell something to you, and when they don't work, it ticks me off. And in the meantime all the app developers have to become "compliant", so I have a lot more meaningless "upgrades" to look forward to... there are some strange power dynamics here!
I did, when I finally fixed the problem, get a bonus though: with the new OS, you can delete individual tracks from the music app... many people had been complaining about that a lot, and the weird thing is that Apple didn't even advertise it as one of the new features (just that you could "record individual tracks", which I never had any problems with). That particular functionality disappeared with the arrival of iOS6, and is a real nuisance when you have a lot of music on the Cloud.
Thanks for your comments though, even if you made a completely unwarranted assumption about my configuration.
May your firmware never go soft, my friend!

  • Issue Converting LWAP to IOS

Good day all, this is my first experience converting LWAP to IOS so please bear with me. I have followed all the major steps such as changing the TFTP server's IP within the range 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.30 with subnet 255.255.255.224 as well as changing the desired image name to c1200-k9w7-tar.default. After holding the mode button down till it turns red and releasing it goes into image recovery mode than examines the image, it than gives me the error "Failed to open archive file tftp://255.255.255.255/c1200-k9w7-tar.default" and than resumes with loading its original image. I do see the attempt hit my tftp server (solar winds) but says "error 10.0.0.1 requesting c1200-k9w7-tar.default: file does not exist". I am a bit confused because when initially trying to recover the image the 255.255.255.255 tftp location does not seem right yet it still shows up in the TFTP server log. Any help or insigt is greatly appreciated. Many thanks,
    SB

    Hi Steven,
    This sure sounds like a TFTP problem. Have a look at the details in the following threads that all have to do with TFTP. There are some great hints for troubleshooting TFTP problems from some of my favourite NetPros like ScottMac,Stephen from Cisco and JackYoung. The likely culprit may be that you need to uncheck "hide extensions for known file types" on your TFTP server;
