Windos Update don't work after reinstalla​tion (mirror). Error 0xc8000247

Hi!
I did an installation from a mirror image of my OS (Win 7 Ultimate) to a new harddirve (WD7500BPKT). 
Computer: Lenovo T61p (all updates downloaded using the "System Update"). 
Everything worded fine, except for that the Windows Update didn't work. The information message I got was:
"Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running..."
In the ReportingEvents Log (located in "Software Distribution") I find the error code 0xc8000247 at the bottom of the log (se detail below). 
After trying to fix the issue with the usual fixes (Clean Boot, Renaming Software [Software Distribution], "sfc.exe / scannow", fixit, etc. without any success I installed the OS from the original disc (without all of the drivers, updates and all other applications I have on the mirrored image). 
Then Windows Update did work (I just installed three updates as a test). 
Then I did a new installation from the mirror image. Same result: Everything works, except for Windows Update. 
So what to do now (except from doing the installation of the OS and everything else all from the beginning)?
(At HP Support Center you could find this info [http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam​e=c02219204&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_US​...]: 
"Notebooks with the Western Digital high density hard drive, such as 1TB or 750GB, may display abnormal error messages if the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver (IRRT) is not updated." Could that be the thing in this case to?)

Hi,
This error  is usually caused by moving to an advanced format disk.  Since your original install disk works, that is probably not (directly) the problem.
There have been some issues with System Update installing a version of the Intel storage driver that isn't compatible with AF drives - or simply breaks Windows Update by not correctly reporting the physical sector size.
Try a different version of the Intel driver (try the latest first) and see if that helps.
