Window Authorization of SAP B1

Hi all,
what kind of authorization(windows) do we need to run SAP B1. I want to list all the possible reason if add-ons gives error 'cannot connect to DI API, Corrupt Memory'.

To install B1, users need admin right. To run it, normal user authorization is fine.

How to automate the alias between Windows AD and SAP accounts

I have authentication working where I can logon via SSO with Windows AD authentication and still get to SAP BW via SAP SNC. In getting this to work I had to manually create an alias between the Windows AD account and th SAP Account. We will have thousands of users in our Business Objects environment with users coming and going each day. I have not found a way to automate the creation of the alias. There must be some way to do this, since this seems like it would be a common need for customers that want to access both SAP and non SAP resources in Business Objects. Has anyone found a way to automate the creation of the aliases? Our user ids are the same in Windows AD and SAP, so it doesn't seem like this should be that difficult, but I can't figure this out.

Thanks for the response. That was helpful. I had seen something similar is SAP Note 1269228, but that note did not mention the registry key setting. These seems like a fairly common request. Is built in support for this planned in XI 3.2 or XI 4? The reason I ask about the feature being included in future releases, is because we may hold off on taking the time to develop a script if this is soon to be part of the software.
Also, if anyone has already created a script to do this, I would be inteterested in knowing how you scripted this. How do you handle adds/removes of either SAP Authentication or Windows AD Authentication for a user? How do you handle adds or deletes of whole users?

MMC hangs on Windows 2008 and SAP MMC console not coming up

Hi All,
We are running SAP CRM 7. After upgrading Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2, SAP is coming up on our J2ee engine. We are able to login to the SAP J2ee application, but SAP MMC hangs. After the reboot, SAP MMC does come up but it hangs while starting the SAP Server Processes. We have to close the MMC from CTRL-ALT-DEL (end process). After that SAP MMC does not come up. Although, we can number number of MMC.EXE running in task manager,but
the SAP MMC window is not displayed.
We have gone through OSS note Note 1326097 - SAP MMC Snap-In crash for certain operations and installed the new version of MMC. But still the error exists. Also, we have installed the VCREDLIST patch and have installed all the DLLs mentioned in OSS SS Note 684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs.
Also, the event viewer shows the following message

Hello,
Try to re-create (re-register) the SAP Services (SAP instance services) in services.msc list. Then try to put SAP MMC up.
Or, after recreation of sap instance services, try to reconfigure the sap mmc as well -

Hi, is there an easy and quick way to use my Forms I made, which look like SAP forms as an AddOn in SBO?
Maybe you know Mari-Projekt. The functionality should be the same. I have a stand-alone software but I also want to use it as an AddOn.

You can Open your windows forms in SAP Business One with a little bit work around.But event handlers for the form will be of .Net(like Button Clicks).But the problem is that you have to use showdialog property of form to show the form,Which will not allow you to access Sap Business One untill you close the windows form.
If you want to handle your form events form with SDK,i am not sure whether that is feasible or not.

Hi Rupinder,
You can integrate your windows application with B1 at the data level via COM based DI API. Some of the SDK samples are built as Windows Form applications that use DI API to integrate with data in B1.

How to insert a condition in the Graphic Window of a SAP Script ?

I need to give a condition inside the Graphic Window for printing the Logo in the SAP Script. Now, my problem is that the Graphic window is only opening in Display mode. How to make it editable and insert a condition in it?

Windows requirements for SAP ECC6 EhP7

Hi experts,
we want to install SAP ECC6 EhP7 on Windows Server (2008 or above). I've already checked on the PAM its feasability, with Kernel 7.40. The DB would be Oracle 11.2.0.4.
I've found that for hardware that: 4 CPU ~2GHz each with 10 Gb Memory and 500 Gb Disk is the minimum (tell me if I'm wrong), but now I'm more interested in the software part.
So I'm trying to find info about windows package (language and else) necessary for SAP ECC6.0 EhP7 installation. I tried to find notes about it but in vain...
Could you give me some tips ?

Question regarding Authorizations in SAP CRM 7.0

The problem is this:
We have a client who will use two ways of accessing SAP CRM 7.0 data -
1. CRM Web UI
2. Mobile devices via standard SAP CRM BAPIs
Now the situation is that the client wishes to control display authorizations based on the Business Role. Certain Business Roles can allow its User to see Accounts where the User is also Employee Responsible and certain other Business Roles can allow its User to see all those Accounts that are associated with that Role. In summary Business Roles control what an User can see.
This has already been implemented for the CRM Web UI using the Access Control Engine (ACE).
Now the questions are:
1. How do we implement this for BAPI Access?
2. Should we recreate what has been achieved by ACE, via PFCG Authorization Profiles?
3. Can we not reuse what has been done by ACE?
4. What are the runtime APIs that allow somebody to use the authorization checks of ACE?
5. Does the standard Function Module CRM_ORDER_CHECK_AUTHORITY_ACE help in this regard?
Any help here will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any clarifications.

Normally, some notes are recommended in addition to the current support package implementation because they were developed to solve any known issues. These known issues occurred as side effect of any note which belongs to the implemented support package.
If you take a look at older release notes, you will see the same.
This is a part of implementation stack.

ICSS: authorization in SAP CRM 7.0

Is it possible to restrict via authorization acces to diffrent types of transaction in ICSS in SAP CRM 7.0? For example some clients can have acces to complaints, some to service request and some for both.

Of course, you can. If you are creating the Z: roles for SAP_CRM_ECO_ISE_WU_B2B, then in this role, in the CRM Component, there is an authorization object called CRM_ORD_PR and a field name PR_TYPE. You can go an change the individual users with access to different transaction types or create Z: object or Z:role for each group as you wish. Use the field name ACTVT to control the access to the transaction type.
Please note, there may still be some discrepancies in the search selection in the ICSS. Though you may want to restrict the user to not to access "Complaints", the restriction may work at the transaction level, but not at the search level. You may still see "Complaint" object in the Search dropdown list. I am not sure if SAP has covered all the features of ICSS to abide by this role.

How to remove the window border in SAP Script

In my requirement when I create any window in SAP Script, in the output the border around the window should not be displayed.

I assume that in the window's code, there is a "BOX" statement. Just comment it out and you are done. If you are using SMARTFORM, there is a respective checkbox in the windows properties.

Trying to re-size the windows in Z SAP Script!!

Am looking to do some modifications to the custom SAP Script Layout-set, mainly re-sizing the windows, including the MAIN window.
So, SE71>Change mode>Graphical Form Paiter checked, then, opened the Windows layout in graphical manner.........but, am unable to edit/move/re-size/modify the sizes of the windows with the help of mouse (pointer) movements!!
And also am unable to edit the left side dimensions numericals of these windows, bcoz, those (dimensions numericals) fields are GREYED OUT!!
I also tried by selecting the radio button of PAGE WINDOWS ........here also the dimensions numericals fields are GREYED OUT!!
So, pls. let me know the options for editing/re-sizing the windows of SAP Script. I prefer to re-size them by changing the dimension numerical digits, instead of graphically changing with mouse pointer.

I know nothing about a Java environment, but my tool use it.
I have installed J2RE (j2re-1_4_2_06-windows-i586-p.exe) on a Windows Server 2003, and then I have installed a component of SAP XI (Adapter Engine) which need Java to run. But when I run my tool I have the following error:
"-Xmx128m: illegal argument"
Here is the instruction when my tool uses for its running :

(The call "java -Xmx128m ..." seems to be correct)
