Window Background color in Camera Raw 6.0

I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 x64 and CS5.  Everything seemed normal the first couple days, but when I opened Camera Raw today, the background color of the window is an off-pink.  The image is fine, but the surrounding background color has changed from the traditional white.  Also, the color around the image previews on the left side is pink-ish as well as the background of the graph on the right.
This is extremely distracting, does anyone know how to change it back?

It will be in 6.1, not 6.0.

    Hi,
When system is in a sleep mode or hibernate mode, it will save the data ans settings in memory or hard disk, so I suggest you run a memory check and a harddisk check and see if it can detect any errors.

  • Color corrupted (Camera Raw, Bridge, Photoshop)

This is how things look in Camera Raw (left - a cr2 file) and image viewer (right - a jpg). That means it isn't the monitor.
    I have tried
    1) Restarting Bridge (ctrl+alt+shift and reopen and reset everything)
    2) I've cleared all caches
    3) resetting every setting everywhere I can find.
    4) Deleted the xmp files
I can get the thumbnail to show up with the right color in bridge for a brief moment when I first open Bridge but then it reverts the the left hand color. This must mean that some kind of profile/setting is being applied but I cannot get rid of it.
It happens to all files I open in Bridge/Camera Raw. I'm using CS6 on Windows 7. I do calibrate my monitor with Huey Pro but it doesn't seem to matter if I turn that off or on.
    Please help. I'm frustrated. Thanks

Your display profile is wrong, and doesn't match your display.
Change the display profile to one that actually matches your display in the OS display settings.

  • Problem Resetting Color in Camera Raw

I am using Windows CS4 11.0.1 and camera raw 5.5.
After applying a color gradient with the camera raw graduated filter, I am unable to reset the default color back to black (with the cross through the color box).  I've tried alt clicking, ctrl clicking, and shift clicking, but nothing is working.  I know that there must be an easy way to do this, but I haven't found it yet.  I will probably feel like an idiot after I receive an answer.
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Just pull the Saturation slider back to zero.
I recommend asking further questions in the ACR forum.

  • Duller colors from Camera Raw to Photoshop: why?

    Hello!
I'm opening my Canon 70D RAW files with Camera Raw 8.4.1. After this step, I open the corrected file in Photoshop CC. At this point colors have changed, everything is duller and less contrasted.
    See image.
Camera Raw color management: Adobe RGB, 16Bit.
Photoshop color management: RGB: Adobe RGB (prepress Europe 3)
Also, no color proofing is active.
How can I correct this issue?

This is a problem with your display profile. The conversion from source profile to display profile is not the same in these two cases, so a bad display profile can show up this way.
ACR converts from its internal working space, linear ProPhoto. Adobe RGB is just the export color space here, so irrelevant. Photoshop OTOH converts from Adobe RGB.
Recalibrate, and examine your calibrator's settings. V4 profiles and LUT-based profiles have caused problems for some, so try v2 and matrix-based if you have these options. You can also test by substituting a known good profile, which would be sRGB for a standard display, or Adobe RGB for a wide gamut one.

  • Window Background Colors

I found an earlier post, but couldn't reply, so here goes...
When I select a background color for a view window in finder, it changes to a completely different (and often much uglier) color when I re-open Finder. I tried deleting the launch services cache files, but that didn't help at all.

The earlier post from Feb 2006 is here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3346400&#3346400
    and describes the issue perfectly.
We had just tried deleting all .DS_Store files using Cocktail and deleting all finder .plist files but the problem returns as soon as you change a windows color.
Here's my post on the issue to another venue:
My wife's new MacBook Pro Core2Duo has begun playing with her an not in a good way.
On her previous G4 PowerBook she had set the colors of several of her Finder windows to be various pastel shades so they were easily distinguishable at a glance.
She did the same on her new MacBook Pro, but after she closed any of these windows the next time they were opened they were assorted eye-tearing shades of green, violet and magenta. She would reset each one to a pastel shade and the next time she opened it they were yet some different blazing color. She has given up and has set all to the default white.
I'm glad she had not set the backgrounds to be muted pictures of puppies and kittens - they would probably have re-opened as autopsy and roadkill photos.
She has had this machine for less than a week. It has all the Apple updates. Disk was verified as fine in Disk Utility and AppleJack cleaned its caches, checked prefs, re-prebinded (?) and repaired permissions but she still had these inconstant folders.
Seems unlikely to me that the .DS_Store file in every single folder she opens would get instantly corrupted.

  • Color Difference - Camera Raw & Nikon Raw NEF

    Hello everybody
When i open a Nikon Raw file in Camera Raw (Photosop CC) I notice a distinct color-difference between the integrated preview image in the Raw file and the camera Raw standard.
I want to start with the exact same color how it came from the camera.
Refers to Nikon D300 or D800 in Raw / Nef format.
left, from Camera Raw 8.4.1 "Camera Raw Standard"
right, integrated preview from the original raw-file
Mostly i have the difference in Blue, it's too much cyan in there an looks not "natural"!
    thanks for help

The third icon in from the right (looks like a camera) called camera calibrations is where the presets live that supposedly match that of your camera.
Even though you use those presets, you are not done. To match what you see in your camera, you must manually adjust the sliders under the basic tab until it does match.
What you see in your camera is a processed image, which is applied to a jpg only. The raw file is just that raw, no processing is done to it. Think of it as a negative. It is your permanent record of the image. Camera raw is then used to manually set up the image to your personal liking. Which does a better job the camera or yourself, is dependent on your skills. You can get details out of that raw file that the camera can not.
When you find you are placing the sliders in certain location more than once, then it is time to create a preset in camera raw that stores those settings. The more you use camera raw, more you can see when your own preset can be used (even as a starting point) and when it is time to do everything manually.
So in other words it is going to take time to 1)get a keen eye 2)understand the subtle differences in what each setting does and 3) collect a library of presets that you can use time and again.

  • Batch processing web pages from jpgs made from color corrected Camera Raw files

I processed and color corrected a set of photos shot in camera raw, then saved as tiffs. Then I set Photoshop to Batch process them into a web slide show. The images turned out looking like the raw files before processing....kind of desaturated, since they were shot on a grey day. So then i re-saved the raw files as jpgs and hypersaturated them to see if that would produce better results, but it did not. They looked almost as grey as the original raw files. I usually add saturation to files that will end up on the web, because ImageReady always seems to desaturate color.
    I'm running Mac OS4.1 and CS2.
    Thanks, Suzanne

    Suzanne,
    Try
converting your images to the sRGB color space before processing and/or saving them for web display. ALWAYS. Remember to use CONVERT to profile not
    assign

  • Changing monitor window background colors?

I've recently switched to Premiere Pro CS4 from Premiere 6.5.  I animate a lot of still images.  When rotating them or reducing their size, the default black background color in the monitor window is sometimes revealed.  How do I sample a color from the still image and change the monitor window's background color to match it?

It would seem odd that such a basic and useful function would be deleted from the program.  After Effects still has this function, so why wouldn't the new Premiere?
Unfortunately, I doubt that anyone here can answer that question for you, as we're all just users.
I would strongly suggest that you file a Feature Request for that to be reinstated in the next version.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Flash CS3 debugger window background color

Is there any way to get Flash CS3 to use the same background
color from your actionscript settings in the debugger? It's always
light gray--I like to use a black background for my actionscript,
but now I'm probably going to have to change to gray since it
appears the debugger ALWAYS uses a gray background regardless of
your settings? (My text is white and I can't see it against the
    debugger background)
Is there any way to change this?

if you're wanting to look at the contents of variables,
unlike the AS2 debugger, the movie needs to be paused, for example
at a breakpoint. Once the movie's paused variables will appear in
    the 'Variables' window.

  • Acrobat DC - window background color

I've just installed DC and the new interface looks great, but I would like to be able to change the window background colour from white without having to go to fullscreen mode. It's grey in other versions of Acrobat.
At the moment, it's very hard to see what the page size is when it's a white page on a white background.

Hi, I just updated some Adobe Creative Cloud Apps today and without realising it I've installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and this has uninstalled the old Acrobat Pro. Suddenly I have a new interface with an extremely light grey background, as mentioned here, which makes it very hard to distinguish my document. Reading this thread it appears I'm not the only one disappointed with this. I find it hard to believe Adobe did this in the first place but I'm even more upset that it's now over a month since these posts above and still there's no option to change the background colour! Please correct this soon!

  • HT201726 How to set again your windows background color

I  used to have a pleasant blue color as a background for my files, documents, applications, but when I looked for a file and clicked on the screen the color was gone becoming a white background.
I used to see the view options but now it has the point on one selection and cannot click on the color to change it back again. Any solutions and/or suggestions on how to do it? Thank U.

I';ll try to make it as clear as I can to cover all bases. I set before the blue color I wanted, it changed once I update the OS System to Maverick.
When I open the finder window on the left column appears 8 (eight) icons, another one for shared plus other for tags.
All the first 8 used to have the blue color set. Now only iCloud, Desktop, and Ilabra (home). All my files, documents and applications the background used to be blue they turned White..
ON the three options of White, Color or Picture, The selection appears on White and the other two are shaded. Before the View had the three option when I applied the blue color. Now I can not, and I do not know why this occurred.
I hope I have been clear with the explanation. Any more suggestions? I will certainly appreciate them and your time and patience.
