WINDOW CLOSES ITSELF!

When I try to play a java-based game using su java it just closes when I click the link to the game... I used sun java alot and it never did this...PLEASE HELP! :(

Well I don't have a pentium 4... I have a Duron. Also the game is called runescape at www.runescape.com and it uses sun java or microsoft virtual machine... Should I remove a .dll file? If so which one?
Or is there another fix? And also, are there any different programs that can run java besides sun java and microsoft virtual machine? I am very good with computers but I just can't figure this out... The window just closes out by itself when I try to play it... Help? :(

Videochat window closes itself during the chat

I have iChat version 3.1.8 and I still use Mac OS X 10.4.10.
I wanted to have a videochat with my mother (she uses AIM Messenger on Win XP), but it didn't work.
The window of the videochat closes itself after less than 5 seconds. Sometimes it's very fast (before I see my mum, sometimes it's after 5 seconds when we could say a half sentence.
I tried to restart the computer, but the problem is still there.
The last days I also had trouble with my computer: slow start-up, blocking (even apple-alt-esc didn't work any more) and troubles with iTunes when I click it in my dock, it doesn't jump, it doesn't open, but there is the little black arrow wich means it's activated. Could this have something to do with it?

Do you get an error message with the closing of iCHat?
Have you done the following?
iChat>Preferences>Video>Bandwidth limit: None
System Preferences>Quicktime>Streaming>Streaming speed: 1.5Mbps T1/Intranet/LAN (don't use Automatic)
Restart iChat

FCP 7.0.3 Import window closes itself before I can select anything

I just reinstalled FCS on my mac book pro and updated it to FCP 7.0.3. I am running Yosemite. When I select file>import the dialogue pops up but before I can click on anything or make a selection it closes. Anyone else see this behavior? What might be the cause?

Well, I would say trash your preferences, but this is a brand new install...
One big thing might be that FCP 7 isn't supported on Yosemite...nor on the previous OS. FCP 7 was discontinued before both came out, and neither were written with support for FCP 7 in mind. The core of FCP is Quicktime, and Quicktime is being phased out by Apple...it is moving towards AV Foundation, which is the core of FCX. In fact, QT 7 that is the main core of the app isn't on Yosemite, only the hobbled QTX.

Cannot link files in illustrator CC, as finder window closes by itself after installing maverick

Hi, After installing Mavericks (Doh!) I can no longer link files in illustrator CC as the finder window closes by itself after one second or if I click on anything. It was happening with save as also, but that seems to have rectified itself by reinstalling the program. Anyone any thoughts? Im in a spot of bother!

Acrobat XI Pro automatically closes itself with no messages etc. after few seconds

I don't know why but my Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.0) automatically closes itself (with no warning, no messages etc.) after few seconds. I installed the AXI as a part of the CS6 Master Collection on my Windows 8 (x64) laptop. Just as suggested at some other posts in the forum:
I checked the "security settings (enhanced)" tab but the protected view option is already off.
I searched for the eula.exe under the "Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0" folder but there is no eula.exe. May it be not present because I installed it as a part of CS6 Master Coll. package?
I am using Eset Endpoint Antivirus as a third party Anti Virus Software.
The problem occurs when:
I open up a pdf file from outlook etc.
I manually open a pdf file from windows explorer
I open adobe acrobat with no file to view
As I mentioned above, I see no error messages or warnings during the closing down. It acts as if I clicked the close button on the top right corner. I know that there are a lot of posts in the forum about this issue, but none of them helped me to solve my problem. I would be glad if you can help me with this problem.

Hey i was having this issue also with Adobe Acrobat pro... it only seemed to be affecting one program that produced PDF output automatically. When the processes finished the PDF is supposed to be displayed and instead it would rapidly flash across the screen and close. THen i would have to hunt for the PDF to review its content. I tried a couple of things like deleting my preferences for acrobat C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0. You might have to show hidden files. In the explorer window select Organize-> Folder and search options-> once that opens view -> check show hidden files, folders and drives. then navigate that path above. Make sure adobe is closed then delete everything in there or move it off to another folder if your worried it will break it further.
That did not fix the problem though. I opened the application and ran my process again same results (adobe closes pdf auttmagically). so i opened adobe acrobat and navigated to Edit -> Preferences -> look under the General tab and click the select default PDF handler and that seemed to fix my problem. I also disabled the enhanced security look further down in that list under security enhanced. then a reboot so it is possible that the enhance security setting was the cause i think i will play with that for a minute to see if it was but i think my issue was the default handling. good luck

Easy one: How do I make a .VI close itself without making all other .VI's close?

I figured this one had been asked before, but I didn't see what I was looking for exactly in the old questions.
I'm using Labview 6.0.2, and I'm trying to make my main .vi close itself. One way is using the Quit Labview function, but that's a little severe, as someone might be running something else, perhaps, and I don't want to mess up their program.
I know that you can use other .vi's to close .vi's, but can a .vi close itself? And if so, how?

ITunes closes itself

I have been using iTunes for awhile now and regularly update to the newest version. Within the last few weeks, I have had issues with iTunes. Upon opening the software, more than 70% of the time it will automatically close itself even if it is being used to play a song. It will still appear in the system tray in the bottom right hand corner. When I put the mouse over it is no longer in the tray. It doesn't happen all the time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the issue is still present.
Is there a way to remove it from the registry and start fresh? I would very much like to use the software, but this is getting ridiculous. I have the software on three machines and this is the only one with the issue.

Photoshop CS6 closes itself immediately after launching, please help!

Hi everyone,
My situation is exactly as the titles says, l launch Photoshop CS6, and the splash logo shows up as normal, and than it will close itself (as in literally as if l pressed the X button to exit the program; the individual brush windows and such close before shutting down, all of that stuff)
There are no crash reports, and no error messages.
l've been looking online extensively for an answer but l've only found other frustrated users with the same/similar problem that don't have a solution.
l purchased Photoshop along with Illustrator, and inDesign in a bundle, and it is the same situation for those programs too, they close immediately after l launch the program.
This all happened out of the blue, and l'm not sure what else to do.

I don't really understand what l have to do. l don't get any activation or connection errors, and l am already signed in with my Adobe ID.

l think that it is activated, but the programs on my computer don't think it is activated.

Illustrator CC closes itself

hi there,
So i had the creative cloud subscribtion before, for a short time i had to stop and was using the trail for a while
now the trial is over, and after some attempt to use my brother's trial account with no luck
i decided to come back to the subscribtion
now, after i did, i tried to install illustrator,
now it would just close itself as soon as it opens, with no error or anything
i have searched for some existed articles, and tried to sign out creative cloud and sign it with prompt that didnt' work
i even tried adobe tool to clean remove all adobe software and reinstall it again, still no luck
can anyone help with this? thanks
EDIT: i'm sure something is trying to close it, as it opens i quicly double click on empty spots to open "open" , and while open window is opened, it stop it from getting closed down.

Whenever I try to open a PDF, the window closes 5 seconds later.

Reader is malfunctioning on my computer. Whenever I try to open a PDF, the window closes 5 seconds later. This all started a few days ago when I tried updating the version of Reader I had. Since then I've had multiple problems or either not being able to open PDFs with any time of security on them, and now after I use the adobe cleaner and downloaded the whole program new, nothing opens. I tried this with XI (which is what I originally had the problems with), then X, and now I have 9.5 Same problem with all of them
PLEASE HELP!! I need to be able to view PDFs and digitally sign them for work!

Somethings to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

ITunes closes itself when trying to play TV shows

When I try to play a TV show, the window goes green and then iTunes stops working and closes itself. Songs all play fine, it seems to be just TV shows. Is there any reason for this? How do I stop it?

Elements 11 closes itself

PC: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP 1, 8 GB RAM, Intel Core I5.
Windows is fully updated.
No use of Oganizer for pictures.

I have recently purchased my pc (3 weeks) and started out with installing my Elements 9, but it would only let me edit about 2 - 10 pictures (jpeg) before Elements would close itself.
Thought it might be a case where Elements 9 couldn't run on a 64bit pc, so upgraded to Elements 11.
Now I can edit anywhere from 5 - 25 pictures (jpeg) before Elements will close itself.
Sometimes a Windows dialog window will apear and tell me that Elements stopped working and will be closed, but most of the time Elements simply just closes without any notification.
I can then try to open the picture again in Elements, but Elements will close itself right away. Only thing that helps is to reboot the computer, and then I can edit a few pictures again before the problem repeats itself.
I then tried to set Elements up to run in campability mode with Windows XP SP 3, but that didn't help.
Then I uninstalled Elements and made a reboot, and then reinstall Elements and under installtion choose install as Administrator mode and again choose Windows XP SP 3 compability mode.
But the problem is still here
What can I do to make this issue go away ?

When I try to open the program, or a pdf file, the window closes after a few seconds.
I have accepted the license agreement as suggested, deleted the program and installed it again. That did not work. What else can I do.

Three things to try...

Icons disappear, windows close

My machine is giving me hassle today......when I open a window (any window)
after 5 secs or so it just closes itself out and disappears. Also icons on
desktop keep disappearing for 5 or 6 seconds and then they appear again.
Something is wrong.
Also, while typing text (eg in this e-mail and/or word after a couple of
lines it stops typing and all I typed goes
Very unusual.
I've checked all cables to make sure they are all attached.
Tried to run a diagnosis with extensions off nothing seemed wrong....but
problem remains unsolved. Have re-started the machine few times also.
Any hints would be much appreciated.
