"Window" menu doesn't show a list of all my open tabs in Chrome, Safari nor Firefox

It's a weird thing, but recently, I found that the 'Window' menu item Mavericks is not showing a full list of the tabs that I have open in any of my browsers. I've tried with Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I even tried uninstalling Firefox as a test and reinstalling to see if it was app related. But same problem. I think this is something buggy in Mavericks that's going on.
I tried using the Onyx tool for Mavericks to see if the maintenance scripts would help, but to no avail. I wonder if running the scripts awhile back was even perhaps the source of the problem? In any case, very annoying, does anyone have any idea on how to fix this, barring a clean reinstall of Mavericks?

This isn't possible in default Firefox, and not even in the upcoming Firefox 4 (that has Tab Sets already in the prebuilds of beta 4). I understand this is a big deal (Tab Sets in Firefox 4 will have a tab search feature, which should help things a bit) for users with many tabs on many windows, so I believe there should be some extension that helps cases like yours. I have the same problem with podcast playlists. When I go to the music window in my iPhone devices section, the playlists I have created on my macbook pro in iTunes do not appear as an option to sync with the iPhone. I know some web radios streams, like the BBC, won't transfer because of compatibility issues, but the playlists of podcasts that I have created consist entirely of podcasts downloaded from the podcasts section on the iTunes Music Store. They used to show up and sync properly before I upgraded to OS 5.1.1, but now they don't.
Does anyone have a fix and am I right in surmising that the cause is a glitch in OS 5.1.1?

I can't open my iPod library in iTunes, the app doesn't show the device at all, no error message, nothing, but windows 8 opens it like it would a flash drive. It has worked for me before just fine and both have the most updated software versions.

yeah i plugged in my iphone to my computer and itunes does not even notice that i plugged it in.

I have Windows 7 main library, iMac with additional library and Apple TV that I want to use home sharing, but windows library doesn't show as a computer on Apple TV.

I have music and movie library on an external drive connected to a Windows 7 machine. I also have home movies and other content on an iMac that I use. I want to turn on home sharing for both and connect them to Apple TV for display, music and podcast. They are all on the same wifi home network, but the Windows library doesn't show up on the ATV device.
I turned off all Windows firewall and I tried to configure port forwarding, but that didn't help.
I will say that this did work at some point, so a patch or an update, or some configuration change has caused it to stop workin at some point in the past six months to a year.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

Bookmarks doesn't show ANY of MY bookmarks I had before I got the new Firefox. Where are they?

Before I got the new Firefox, I'd have to go to a web page, tap MENU, tap BOOKMARKS and a list of ALL my bookmarks would appear.When I tap BOOKMARKS in Firefox now, I get a list of Firefox items and NONE of MY BOOKMARKS are listed. When I tap MENU, bookmarks is not one of the choices. How can I bring up all my bookmarks? Where did they go? I've never lost so much information just by downloading an upgrade. An upgrade to the best ever browser! I've always loved everything about Firefox. Its not only user friendly but I can tell the improvements are state of the art!! Until now that is. I'm confident there will be a positive outcome to my dilemma and I'll be able to continue.

Did you upgrade from an old version of Firefox to a new one? Upgrading should not remove any of your bookmarks or settings, as long as you just install the update (without uninstalling the previous version).
If you switched from a different browser to Firefox, the bookmarks from your old browser will not be imported into Firefox. (This is a feature we would like to add in a future version, but it is not ready yet - sorry.)
If you use Firefox on your computer, you can use Firefox Sync to get all your bookmarks from your computer to your Android device. For details, follow this link:

I'm learning DW.
I used spry pull down menu for main navigation bar, and it is
working in Firefox, Safari, and Opera. Then I asked my client who
has IE6 to look, it doesn't show spry menu bar, it is white, and
pull down doesn't show.
I researched and tried but I couldn't figured out. (although
quiet few posting about same kind of problem. Since I don't have

In Firefox 4, "Organize Bookmarks" has been changed to "Show All Bookmarks" to open the Library window.

Font installed on Windows but doesn't show in Photoshop

I have Arial Narrow Bold etc. installed in the Windows fonts folder but it still doesn't show in Photoshop CS6. Arial Narrow shows but not the bold version. It shows up in InDesign, however.

Windows disk doesn't show up in Startup Disk -- only on reboot w/option key

I installed Windows XP on a separate SATA drive, and all is well with it. But it doesn't show up as an option in Startup Disk. The only way I can boot from it is to Restart and hold the option key down. Its icon DOES show up in the "choose disk" screen that follows.
Another user posted the same problem here, and someone suggested zapping the PRAM. I did this, allowing it to cycle through four times, but it didn't help.
Any other suggestions?

Windows Live doesn't show pictures of contacts

Hi,
Since a few weeks I have troubles with Windows Live Messenger.
I have a Nokia N73 with firmware version 4.0812.4.2.1.
I had the latest version of WLM (1.1.9000) but then the whole contact list didn't show up. Also the Windows Live didn't came up. During the installation, at the synchronizing of my contact list, it stayed at 10 %. After a while it was ready.
Then I installed version 1.0.6141 and now the contact list is back, but the pictures of the contacts aren't shown (even my own picture is not shown).
Anyone suggestions what I should do to get back the pictures of my contacts?

It may be a problem of Windows 7 Explorer. First you can try all the different explorer views, title, Large icon..
If there is no effect, you can try to the following methods.
In Windows Explorer
1. left click on the mail folder where your music is stored and select it.
2. Now right click and go to “properties”.
3. Now click “advanced”.
4. Put a check in the “Allow files in this folder to have contents indexed in addition to file properties”.
5.Click ”OK”.
6.Click”Apply”.
7. Click “OK” to apply changes to this folder. Sub folders and files.
Now go to your music library and see if it works.

Help, My Safari doesn't show its icon and will not open?

I can see that Safari is NOT in the Dock ...
Did you check out if Safari is still in the Application folder ?? open Finder an go to the application folder.
If it's still there than you can drag a copy to the Dock.
Do the following ... Select Safari icon an hold down the mouse an the Option key ad the same time while dragging to the Dock. During dragging you will see a + (plus) next to the Safari icon.
Place the Safari icon in the Dock where you like it, next to the Fire Fox icon is maybe the best place to put it.
Post back with the results ...

Left-click on firefox icon in taskbar shows a list of all tabs. how to just open to last tab?

I use the tab grouping feature a lot. That means I have 100s of tabs open at any one time.
The problem: once one switch between tab groups, the Firefox icon on the taskbar changes to what looks like multiple echoes of the Firefox icon. I guess it is supposed to represent multiple tab groups.
Before Firefox 20 one could click on the Firefox icon on the taskbar, and Firefox would come up and show the last tab I have been working on.
Since Firefox 20 a left-click on the Firefox icon on the taskbar now shows a tab list of 28+ seemingly random tabs. Many of them just says "Mozilla Firefox" instead of the website represented by that tab (because the tab was not accessed recently).
To open Firefox to the last tab I have been working on is now a real chore. I now have to pick one of these 28+ tabs (which is 99% of the time the wrong tab), then switch to the correct tab group, and then find the tab I have been working on. It typically takes 5-10 clicks to get back to where I was before I minimized Firefox, or before Firefox lost the focus. (In the past I could simply click on the Firefox icon on the taskbar, and Firefox restored where I last left off.)
How can I turn off the tab list that pops up when one left-click or hover the mouse over the Firefox icon on the taskbar? I would love to get the ability to minimize/restore Firefox back by clicking on the Firefox icon on the taskbar as it was in the past, not get a choice of random tabs.

Okay, with a lack of replies here, here are some solutions I came up with:
* Quit Firefox and restart it. It reduces the number of clicks to just two. It is even faster than wading through the list of tab groups and tabs to get back to the last tab I was working on.
* Use Alt-Tab to switch between applications instead of clicking on the Firefox icon on the taskbar. I'll have to change my habits, as I'm used to clicking on the icon to toggle between applications, especially if one has many applications open. I typically have a dozen applications open at any time, and Alt-Tabbing through them all can be time-consuming.
* I found nothing that seems related in the about:config screens, e.g. an option to turn off tab.list
* Switch to Chrome.
Anyone got better ideas or solutions?

Can Papyrus show a list of all Associations of a Class?

Suppose I am working on a Class Diagram and I would like to have a list of all associations that a Class participates in, within the scope of the model.
Or I am working on a Use Case Diagram and I would like to have a list of all Use Cases that a specific Actor participates in within the scope of the model.
It would need to be real time by clicking on a view, not generating a report and looking thru it.
Is my understanding correct that this cannot be done in papyrus? Or maybe one can define a Profile that would support this functionality?

What you are looking for is a query, so a profile would not help.
In as far as I know, there is currently no such explicit query. There is actually little related to traceability reporting (of which your request is an aspect) within the tool at this point.
However, all the information for both explicit and implicit traceability queries is in the model, so it should be possible to create such a query as you want using existing customization capabilities of the tool.
Although I am not familiar with it, Papyrus can also show model information as tables - perhaps there is a way to get to the information that way. But someone more familiar with that capability would have to chime in.
