Window on home page of iTunes doesn't display
On the iTunes home page, the window on top with the general categories GENRE, ARTIST and ALBUM does not display on top of the window with the optional chosen categories ( name, time. artist, track, composer etc.)
How do I restore that window and why did it dissappear?
Ok, it's been a while since I last checked the how, so I apologize.
Open iTunes--> Column--> in middle section, check off On Top or On Left
That's it...

Whilst setting up home share on my husband's laptop was quite easy I can't find a home page on iTunes on my new iPad to do it?
The ID you use for home sharing should be the same on all devices, it doesn't need to be the same ID you use for other things.
So if together you have the ID's [email protected] and [email protected] (say) then you might use [email protected] for your iTunes Store account and [email protected] for home sharing and he might use [email protected] for his iTunes Store account and [email protected] for home sharing -
Each time I open my Firefox browser, the tab from the last time opens. I have the browser set to open on my home page, not to the tab from the last time. I keep trying to save the setting for the browser to open on my home page but it doesn't.
Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
See:

What on earth is the "click me" lego man on the home page and why doesn't it do something when I click?
The Click Me logo is part of the Humble Mozilla Bundle promotion - once clicked you should be able to control the character with the "WASD", and "IJKL" keys.
Quoting '''the-edmeister''' from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1025706
That Click Me game is part of the Humble Mozilla Bundle promotion on the default Home Page [about:home], that loads from the Mozilla servers in the "Brand Logo" (DIV) section of about:home. A feature that was first used in Firefox 29 [IIRC] just prior to the start of the Olympic Games.
Also, part of that promotion is addressed in the "Snippet" below the Search Container on the about:home page.
If you want to block the "Brand Logo" section (and the "snippet" below the Search container) from ever being seen again, you can install Stylish and this UserStyle. https://userstyles.org/styles/104673/about-home-hide-snippets-and-hide-brand-logo -
every time I try to access the ASPX pages, the browser doesn't display the pages. Instead, a popup box asks if I want to open or save
What site is doing this? 99% of the time it is a problem with the headers sent from the web server.

When I try to download 'Pages' from iTunes, an error displays 'Application Not Compatible. This application requires iPhone 5.0 Software Update' WHY? This keeps happening.
I sounds like you have the first generation (1G) iPod Touch with an iOS earlier than 2.0, Yu can identify your ipod here:
Identifying iPod models
You can identify your iOS version by going to Settings>General>About and look by Version. Yu can update ti iOS 3.1.3 (the lated for the 1G) by this link. It is a paid update. You may have to try another browser to get he sublink to work correctly.

Windows Vista Home Prem SP1, iTunes 76, after install, refuses to launch
I have just resinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium to a 1 yr old Acer 5610 laptop.
Installed Vista SP1.
Downloaded and installed latest (v7.6.something) iTunes and let it do the full, all apple media installation. It seemed OK, showed his music, let us reactivate the computer and loginto iTunes store.
But now, one day later, when he starts computer, it refuses to lauch when iTUnes is clicked. just acts as if nothing was happening.
So tried to uninstall iTUness and planned to do a reinstall, but now the uninstall has been running 30 minutes and seems to be doing nothing.
Any thoughts on what is going on here?
Should I force the uninstall by using a 3rd party Uninstaller tool?
Should I download iTunes + Quicktime separately as EXE and run the installer again (I have downloaded it (57MB) to my Mac and plan to take it over to the Vista laptop on Monday when i am there again).
Any other thoughts on why it worked once after the install and now has gone silent?
thanks!Well that's weird that it quit working. Was that the first time the PC had been restarted since a lot of stuff got installed?
The uninstall shouldn't take more than a min or so.
Use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Tool:

Norton or other security software can cause that, there are several other reasons too... -
Windows 7 Home Premium X64 - iTunes 10.5 - Not Starting
Thanks in advancer for any help...
Has anyone had any problem witrh the new version of iTunes for Windows 7 Home Premium X64?
I updated in the normal fasion and then iTunes refused to start. So I uninstalled all traces of Apple software, restarted, downloaded a fresh copy of iTunes for Windows X64 and installed it. Again I restarted my PC and tried to start iTunes. The process starts and uses 20% of my CPU power but then nothing. The process stops and nothing happens.
I've just got my very first piece of Apple kit (iPhone 4S) and I'm trying to get some music on it but I'm having big problems. Can anyone help me get iTunes working so I don't have to take my iPhone back the the shop and continue on with my Android line of devices.
BobbyMy problem with AppleMobileDeviceService taking up 25% of my CPU had nothing to do with Apple.
I ran ProcessMonitor to see what the service was doing. I noticed that my anti virus software was denying the service access to the registry.
That information lead me to search for a problem on the PC Tools website. Where I found this:
http://www.pctools.com/kb/article/security-software-itunes-is-not-working-correc tly-with-pc-tools-security-program-installed-323.html
Once I upgraded to the latest version of PC Tools Spyware Doctor and rebooted. The AppleMobileDeviceService no longer took 25% of my CPU. Also I am able to connect to the iTunes Store without problem.
I recommend all of you still having problems to check your anti-virus software.
Please Apple accept my apology for blindly blaming you. -
Link in emails to open the link in new tab, not a new firefox window with home page,
Link in emails open a new Firefox window with my default home page. How do I get Firefox to open the linked web page, in an new tab, as it used to do??
This is for Win XP, FF 17.0.1, using Outlook as mail client.Do you mean the results from a search via the Google search bar on the Navigation toolbar or the Firefox Google home page (www.google.com/firefox) ?
For the Google website you can set your preferences on the Google.com page via the [http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Google Search settings] link at the top right.
Results Window: Open search results in a new browser window.
You need to allow cookies for Google (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to save that setting, otherwise you have to repeat it.
For the Google search bar on the Navigation toolbar you can set the pref browser.search.openintab to true on the about:config page.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br /> -
Figured it out. There was code in the Preferences/home page field telling it to open my home page and that page at the same time in two tabs. Don't know how it happened, but is fixed now.
Yeah, I don't know why I can't find my posted problem of November 18, but it was similar, and I also figured out how to fix it. IF when you open Firefox to your homepage and MORE opens than IS your homepage, then go to tools, options, and check your homepage info. You will find the URLs to your homepage plus whatever windows are opening that you do NOT want. Delete everything but the homepage and close. I had at least 10 windows opening from a browsing session over a week ago every time I opened Firefox... aggravating!

Keeps on trying to connet to itunes store, but never connects. If I insert a CD all I get is the track number. No artist or song information. Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium.
Hello Rachet Jaw,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iTunes. I found a few articles I suggest for the issue you described.
If you are getting a white screen when accessing the iTunes Store, I recommend reviewing this article:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123
If you are still not able to access the store or are getting a different error than just a white screen, I recommend the following articles:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store

iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Can't access home page in itunes store
I've been looking and I haven't found anyone else with the exact same problem as me. I have a mac OS X 10.4.11 and the latest itunes (9.2). I can do anything in the itunes store I want besides access the itunes store home page. I can search, I can go to the music and movie subsections, etc. but when I click on the home button it displays the message "We could not complete you iTunes Store request. You do not have permission to access the requested resource." and then, underneath that, in smaller print, it says "There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later." I've been having this problem for weeks. Please Help!!
Try without logon.faces in the url.

Pages 4.1 doesn't display whole document.
I have Intel systems running OS 10.6.8. One has version 4.0.3 of pages and the other 4.1. The one with version 4.1 stops displaying pages at page 32 while the system with the older version displays all 40 pages.
I tried installing iWork '09 again but after installtion, running Pages throws an error saying the program can't run on this computer.
Any ideas?I will add to this:
I have an old version of the document that displays all pages on the 4.1 system
It's possible/likely the document was modified by the 4.0.3 system at some point and that triggered the failure of 4.1 from displaying all pages anymore.
While the 4.1 system is loading the document, the window footer shows page 27 or 41 and then when it finishes, it changes to page 27 of 31. -
Windows Vista Home Premium- Restoring Itunes Library- Not Eonugh Space on C
I have 64 bit version of Vista Home Premium. Experiencing the following error when trying to restore music library. I have a 320 GB Hard Drive and a 250 GB external HD. After about 15 GB it states in the error-"Not enough space on C:/ library could not be saved. Anyone have any solutions?
Hi, that's not a problem I've spotted before. From what I can find out it seems ubd.exe is part of Windows and responsible for handling .dll files in some fashion. You could try the Microsoft support page Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files just to confirm that your system files are in order. More likely it is a problem with the Apple library being loaded. Unless you have thoroughly uninstalled all Apple components, deleted the recommended folders, then reinstalled it may be the case that you have an outdated file from the last build of iTunes that wasn't replaced, and that the error is generated by incompatible files trying to call each other.
If you didn't do a full tear down already my advice for doing so is in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates
