Window.open opens new Firefox page, not a windows exploer window
I have a javascript code within Dynamics CRM to open a windows explorer window if a field is double clicked with the folder location in that field. For example, if our local server name was COMPANYSERVER
If the field contained \\COMPANYSERVER\Accounts and you double click it, that windows explorer window shows the Accounts folder in the COMPANYSERVER, and I can navigate to any child directories.
If we use CRM in Internet Explorer, this works fine. However if CRM has been opened in Firefox, instead of opening a windows explorer field, it opens a new tab in Firefox, with a File or directory not found error, obviously because it is trying to find a webpage rather than an internal directory.
I was not sure whether to log this on a Dynamics forum or Firefox forum, so I have done both, but as I say, it works perfectly with IE so I guess it's something I need to do differently for firefox, or change a setting somewhere within firefox?
I am very new to firefox, so if you can be quite basic with your answers I would really appreciate it!
I personally have not done this before, however there are two old sources that have both referenced the IE Tab extension.

Right click to open new firefox window opens in wrong workspace
Right click in Mac Dock to open new firefox window opens in wrong workspace.
When a user is in another workspace than the Firefox window, right clicking the Firefox icon in the dock and pressing New Window, should create a new window in the current workspace, Not the work space firefox is already running in.To be absolutely honest, I can't ever remember a time where this worked in Firefox. I don't think the issue is related to the issue you mentioned, unless this particular issue only occurs if you have a dual-monitor-setup (I do have dual-monitors).
Firefox currently behaves differently to all native Mac apps + most Mac apps that support multiple windows. -

I click on a link, and get a new blank page, not the info expected. I use AVG Free Edition, Windows 7 Professional. I have tried "open link in new tab" - no joy. Not all links are affected. It is not possible to say when a link is going to fail or work - it seems random.

Export to pdf - document always opens on 2nd page, not 1st
Hi
As a photographer, I am really liking Pages for creating a pdf for clients to download from my website.
Only thing is that the pdf always opens on 2nd page (not first) - at least on my computer.
Any suggestions?
Example here: http://www.hotelresortphotography.co.uk/HRP-2015-BROCHURE.zip (15mb zip download)
With thanks in anticipation
Stephen Hyde
http://www.hotelresortphotography.co.ukHi Mnkbsnss
Thanks for quick reply & nice thought.
However, when I go to print the pdf, it shows 1st page as the cover photo & 1st page ready to print.
It's really only when opening the doc up that it starts at page 2.
But thx again

Firefox will not open new web pages.
When I open firefox it goes to the firefox default page with one blank new tab. New tabs will open with blank page but Firefox will not go to any new sites just stays on blank pages. I have already tried starting in safe mode, creating a new profile, and un-installing and re-installing and the problem persists.
It is not blocked by either my firewall or antivirus program.
This all seems to have started after an automatic update made by Firefox. The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

Firefox will not perform correctly when I open new Firefox windows
The only Firefox windows that work correctly are the first window I open (which has tabs saved) and the window that opens when I go into tools> options> help, any other new Firefox window I open wont let me open a new tab or window from the page I am on (I can still open new tabs with the bookmarks or new tab button), I can't use the back page/forward page/refresh page/stop loading page buttons and the page I am on doesn't show in the address bar.
go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:
-> Update Firefox to the latest version by going to Help Menu -> About Firefox -> click Check for Updates -> if an updated version is found then download the latest version and install it. After that follow these steps:
-> Update ALL your Firefox Plug-ins https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
-> go to View Menu -> Zoom -> click "Reset"
-> go to View Menu -> Page Style -> select "Basic Page Style"
-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> select Menu Bar and Navigation ToolBar -> unselect all unwanted toolbars
-> go Tools Menu -> Clear Recent History -> ''Time range to clear: '''select EVERYTHING''''' -> click Details (small arrow) button -> place Checkmarks on ALL Options -> click "Clear Now"
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> General -> ''When Firefox starts : '''select "Show My Home Page"''''' -> Type the address of the website which you want to be your HomePage e.g. http:www.google.com -> place Checkmark on "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file" -> select Radio Button option2 "Always ask me where to save files"
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Content -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Block Pop-up windows
2) Load images automatically
3) Enable JavaScript
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Privacy -> History section -> ''Firefox will: '''select "Use custom settings for history"''''' -> PLACE CHECKMARKS on:
1) Remember my Browsing History
2) Remember Download History
3) Remember Search History
4) Accept Cookies from sites -> select "Exceptions..." button -> Click "Remove All Sites" at the bottom of "Exception - Cookies" window
4a) Accept Third-party Cookies -> under "Keep Until" select "They Expire"
-> REMOVE CHECKMARK from CLEAR HISTORY WHEN FIREFOX CLOSES
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Security -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Warn me when sites try to install add-ons
2) Block reported attack sites
3) Block reported web forgeries
-> Click OK on Options window
-> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select all Unwanted Search Engines and click Remove -> click OK
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working. -
When opening a new tab, IE9 opens a blank page, not the new tab page
I change my settings to open a the new tab page when I open a new tab. This works for one boot of Windows. Second boot, the settings have magically changed back to opening a blank page.
It worked to start with. I only just reinstalled Windows on this computer. Then a few days ago I didn't get my most recent sites when I opened a tab. Changed the settings. Next boot. They had reset.
It seems as if the settings do not save. I had this problem on my older computer as well. Never found a fix.
To clear up misunderstandings (there are some similar posts), when I select a link to open in a new tab, it always works.Hi ,
In order to clarify the issue clearly, I would like to ask the following questions:
Did you make the steps below to set “When a new tab is opened” to open your first home page?
Open a new tab to your home page in Internet Explorer
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-a-new-tab-to-your-home-page-in-Internet-Explorer
Will the home page change back after the second boot?
Is this setting able to be saved?
Is this your home pc?
What’s the operation system?
Generally, this issue will not persist after reinstalling the Windows.
I would recommend you to perform the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:
1. Temporarily disable all the third party security programs and boot in
Clean Boot to test the issue.
2. I would suggest you to optimizing the internet explorer for better performance and check if it helps.
How to optimize Internet Explorer (Also applicable for IE 9)

Note: Resetting Internet Explorer’s settings is not reversible. After a reset, all previous settings are lost and cannot

New safari page not opening to my "homepage"

Safari 5.1.3
OS 10.7.3Thanks for the response. I have homepage as my "open with" and the correct URL for a homepage. Something must be different when I try to get to may home page after logging out and quitting AOL, but I have not yet determined what it is. I notice that after logging out and using "Quit AOL" in the AOL menu bar AOL still looks active in the APPLE Force Quit dropdown. Even if I Force Quit in the Apple dropdown, I still cannot bring up the home page. Its almost as if AOL has surplanted SAFARI's communication. I am trying to figure out what is being disabled in Shut Down or Restart that allows SAFARI to become active.

Open new URL page in same window
Hi all,
I am using LinkToUrl UI element for opening a new URL
page.
I did it successfully by giving the URL in reference property.
But the link is opening in new window. It should be opened
in same window instead of new window.
Any one can help me........Hi
Use the target property of LinktoURL .
You can specify the window name where you want to load new URL.
Check the following Link.

When selecting the open new tab option, in the past, the tab opened displaying my designated home page. It now opens displaying a YAHOO! search page. My home page settings have not changed and continue to display the correct address, selecting 'home' brings up the correct home page, at any time during browsing. Is there another location where this 'invalid' new tab address might be listed, and removed or reset ?
VC you are a genius! I solved my problem with your solution.
