Window says cannot verify server identity.  I press the cancel button but nothing happens and that window being open doesnt allow me to do anything else

How can i restart ipad when i have an open window that wont close?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See:
* [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
* [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • HT1766 My ipad has the message "iCloud Backup This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks..." followed by the "OK" option. I press the "OK" button but nothing happens. I never backed up the iPad through iCloud though, so how do I restore it?

How do I restore the icloud backup for my Ipad if I never set up the "back up" in the first place? My Ipad is in a frozen state. I press the OK button but nothing happens. The message on the iPad is "iCloud Backup This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."

  • Uage, it seems to be saying"Button" so I press the home button but nothing happens!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought an Ipad 3G and can't get past the first page of the setup. I choose a language (english) and hit the home button and nothing happens!!!!!!!!!! What am I doing wrong?

I'm pretty sure it say Next button or continue button, not Home. The home button would move you out of an application. When setting up you need to press the blue button with the white arrow at the top right corner to move on.

  • I have a box that I cannot get past.  It says cannot verify server identity.  How can I get rid of it?

I cannot get past a box that says "cannot verify server identity"

Try just holding down the power button and restarting. I've no idea what you're talking about but if it's a file copy, move, etc., it shouldn't take 3-4 days.
    Power down. Power up.

    - Connect to computer and it it shows in iTune restore via iTunes
    - Then try letting the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try the reset (both buttons) and connecting to computer and restore.

General> Reset< Reset All Settings will work! Be careful not to erase! and you will have to redo all of your settings. Everything, ringers, even wifi will be lost! Big pain!!! I still dont have everything like I used to after the reset, but location services can be enabled again.

  • I press M in aperture but nothing happens and it makes sound

Like usually when you press m, you see the original photo, but something happened and now when i press m it makes that sound as if this function is not working and nothing happens. I still can see the original if i go to view and click show original immage. Anyway it started to work again. Self resolved i guess. thanks.

    oh, no!
After I changed the "M" key back and forth, it stopped working! Now I am seeing exactly the same problem as you: Beep, beep, beep when pressing "M" on any image.
    - Quitting Aperture and relaunching does not fix it.
    - Rebooting does not fix it.
    - Switching between command sets does not fix it.
    - Switching between Libraries does not fix it.
    - Toggling "Preview" mode does not fix it.
    - Clearing Aperture's caches does does not fix it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
    - In my second user account I see the same, even for a new Aperture Library in the second account "M" does not work.
What is weird: The command presets are missing in all libraries: Are they no longer used?
    ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Command Sets/       is empty
    /Library/Application Support/Aperture/Command Sets/       is empty as well.
But all other keyboard shortcuts are working. Only "M" does not.
Conclusion: It is a system wide trouble with the "M" key, and since it happened directly after I played around with Aperture's keybindings, it is more likely software related than hardware related - probably a globally stored setting in the system library and configuration files, or in the Aperture application bundle, but where?
Or a hardware setup problem - PRAM, SMC, …
I'll experiment a bit - if you find a solution, let me know

  • Lyrics not show in Nano-keep pressing the center button but nothing, help!!

    Hi there,
i keep pressing the center button until the lyrics appears but still nothing there, can you please help.
    thx

I'm not sure if the right click will work. I instead will click on a song and select "get info", then choose the lyric tab.
-Isn't that exactly what she said she did?
Does the lyrics pane come up empty on the iPod, or does it go straight from artwork to ratings and completely skip the lyics?
    Tom

  • IOS 4.2.1 Causes "cannot verify server identity" for self-signed SSL Cert.

We are running Exchange 2007 SP3 with a self assigned certificate. After upgrading to 4.2.1 all users receive the message "Cannot Verify Server Identity" whenever the phone pulls down email/calendar/etc. Pressing "Continue" allows mail to download, however you have to press "continue" multiple times (apparently one for each message).
You can press "Details" and choose accept, however the problem continues. I have tried doing a hard reset, but this fixes nothing. I am sure it is a bug with 4.2.1 (4.1 worked just fine) specifically with self-signed certificates. If anyone has a fix please let me know. However, I'm sure that I should just be pleading to the Apple gods to quickly release a fix.

Making it very irritating to log in to exchange owa. I currently have the root, Exchange server and personal certificates installed on the device and it acts like they do not exist. I basicly have to keep punching the cert to use, probably close to 30 times, until the page has loaded. Once the page is loaded the certificate requests stop. Strangely in the console i keep getting:

  • While connecting WIFI am getting an error "Cannot verify server identity "

I have default mobile service in my Ipad from vodafone, but when i am connecting to my corporate WIFI connection its showing an error
“Cannot verify server identity " , and asking me to click OK , its repeating the same , i am unable to connect it. Kindly suggest me a solution, I have got a confirmation that there is no issues from corporate WIFI.

Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings
