Window Size Help!!!!!!

hi can anyone help me figure out how to make my opening page
(home page) open
up in browsers to exact size,no surrounding space.
I want it to open almost like a pop up or flier.
The "open a new browser feature" opens the regular index
page and another
window with the same image fitted. I only want one window to
pop up with the exact flier size 525px x 813px no extra
space around borders.
please help!
Thank you!

The very first page I come to on your site will open to the
dimensions 'I'
choose to have my browser set to. You don't get a say in the
matter.
However, if you then decide to change my browser size when I
start clicking
around in your site, then two things will probably happen -
a. I'll leave
your site, or b. I'll get brassed off, and leave your site.
If you still
insist on trying to control how I see things on 'my' monitor,
then you will
probably want to look at the Behaviour panel, and choose the
Open Browser
window option. Up to you.

  • Finder Window Size Help

    Hey everyone,
I have searched everywhere and tried everything but with no luck. I just have trouble when I go into my Pictures folder, then apple click on iPhoto Library>show package contents. The window that opens is always really small and I have to resize it every time I open it. I've tried just opening it and resizing it, doing nothing else and closing the window, but Finder doesn't seem to remember and it always opens in the annoying small slim window I have to resize to even navigate the folders. Anyone know how I can make this window remember it's previous size?

I don't know how to outright solve your problem (I couldn't reproduce it on my systems), but as a troubleshooting step you could try "resetting" your Finder preferences to defaults and trying again. You can do this "reset" by simply deleting the com.apple.finder.plist file located in your ~/Library/Preferences/ folder. You will then need to relaunch the Finder.
Instead of deleting the file, you may want to preserve it by simply renaming it. You can later put it back in place if this doesn't work.
If this does work, then you know it has something to do with the Finder prefs...

  • Setting window size in Dreamweaver... Help!?

I am working in Dreamweaver CS3. I am trying to set my index
page window size, as well as the sizes of linked pop-up windows.
If I recall correctly, there used to be spot in page
properties where you could set the size of the page. This is not
here in CS3. Is there a way to do this still?
Also, for the pop-up windows... when I attempt to add a
behavior to spec size for this, I lose my current rollover states
    in all my images.
This is driving me crazy! Any words of advice would be very
    helpful. Thank you.

Be aware that it's a bad practice to mess with someone's
    preferred browser
width settings. Most people would think it's even rude since
    you make a
mess, and then don't clean it up.

  • Main window size for HTML Help

    Hello again
I have looked at the archives and despite thinking I had seen
this particular issue covered before, I could not find anything. I
generate a HTML Help File with RoboHelp for Word x5.0.1 and would
like to set the default window size as at the moment my Help File
opens in a rather small window. Also if a user maximises the
window, closes the Help File and re-opens it, it still opens in the
small windows, i.e. the size settings were not save upon closing
    the file.
Can anybody help? I reckon there must be some place (I
noticed the existence of the Edit > Windows menu but it only
seems to apply to WinHelp) I can set this up.
    Thank you.
    Regards,

In Project Manager, double click Windows and then the window
you use. There should be fields for setting the size. If not, check
that HTML is your primary output and then create a new window, then
    you should see the fields.

  • Customize window size  for HTML Help?

My .CHM file opens up in a ridiculously tiny window, and I
can't seem to change that from within Robohelp. I saw some
information on Rick Steve's site about customizing window sizes for
Webhelp and Flashhelp. I'm hoping there's a similar technique
    available for HTML help.
    Thanks!

  • Aagh - Please help- Swing Window Size

    Dear Guys,
Please help a newbie. I am totally at my wits end.
I have been looking unsuccessfully (maybe I'm using the wrong search terms) for a way to preset the size of a window before placing any components in the frame.
I am using a toolkit to get the dimensions of the current screen resolution and then I want to set the window to occupy the whole screen.
All I have been so far able to do is to set the size of the window after the pack() command. Unfortunately this makes all the buttons re-size in to what I believe are ugly square bulky buttons.
Is there a way to set window size before adding any components whatsoever?
    Someone please reply soon!! Thanks

yo can also set the preferred size for the window - this.setPreferredSize(P);it takes a paramter P of type Dimesion.
This can later be returned through: this.getPreferredSize();which returns a type dimesion.
This can be used as a paramter:
ie this.setSize(this.getPreferredSize());hope this helps a little, if you want a really nice tool for finding out about possible methods, and also a really nice environment to code in; get Eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org/)

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the div. The elements within this div have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.

That's what APDivs do.  This is the single most common problem new people have with web page layouts.  DO NOT use positioning.  You don't need it.  Start over.  Learn to use CSS floats, margins and padding to align elements.
Below is a basic HTML5 Layout.  View source in browser to see the code.

  • How  to change default window size?

I'm using MX 6.0 on Mac... For some reason I can't figure out
how to change the default window size in the work windows. Every
time I open a new file to work on it opens to a smaller size than
the actual page is. When opening pages dozens of times a day, it
gets annoying to have to resize each time. I'm sure it wasn't
always like this, but I can't figure out how to change it so the
default size that it opens to each time is larger.
    Thanks for any help,
    DD

Window | Workspace | Save Current
This gives you the opportunity to save a current layout look
    that you like
    You might also look under
    Edit |Preferences | Status bar - but I don't see that this
    does anything
    in DWCS3

  • Set Window Size when opening Image from Photo Gallery

Is it possible in XML to set a window size (height and
    width)?
My code for the Image Gallery is below, and I can't figure
out a way to set the window size.

    Hi EJToll,
If you like to set the default file format of the file you Edit in Photoshop CC thorugh Lightroom then perform following steps.
Lanuch Lightroom and go to Edit> Preference(Windows) Lightroom>Peference(Mac)
    Click "External Editing" tab
Change the option for "File Format" to PSD as deafult format for Edit In Adobe Photoshop CC
    Click "Ok" button
    Hope this helps.

  • Creating a site without scroll bar and dependent of window size

    Hi,
I want to create a site that appears in the browser window without a scrolling bar, so all content is shown in that window and you don't have to scroll down (unless window size is ridicrously small).
Of course, there are contents that will not fit in the window like long texts but then I want this block of text to have its own scrolling bar so the only thing that scrolls is the text and not the other elements.
at http://www.artofwalls.com/rosannawalls you can see my attempts.
In the home page you can see how the background picture always adapts to the size and aspect of the browser window and how the menu keeps its position related to the lower left corner of the window. But if you click in "Biografia" (SEE BELOW) you can see a text that is too long so you have to scroll the screen to read it. What I want is this text appear inside the white transparent box and the height of this box end near the bottom of the window. To read the full text a scroll bar should appear inside this box and this scroll bar should scroll only the text inside the box, just like in the text box I'm writing this post now.
EDIT: DUE TO A BUG IN MUSE I HAVE ALREADY REPORTED LONG AGO, YOU CAN'T SEE THE PAGE BIOGRAFÍA BECAUSE IT IS EXPORTED AS biografía.html AND THE SERVER DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE INTERNATIONAL CHARACTER (THE SOLUTION PROPOSED BY ADOBE WAS TO UPLOAD THE SITE TO BUSINESS CATALYST BECAUSE THEIR SERVER HAS NO PROBLEM WITH INTERNATIONAL CHARACTERS, BUT ALMOST ANY OTHER SERVER IN THE WORLD DO)
SO, TO SEE THE PAGE I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU HAVE TO GO TO http://www.artofwalls.com/rosannawalls/biograf%eda.html
Another strange side effect is in this page the menu has disappeared completely. If you scroll down all the page you will see the menu is not there.
Another thing I would like is to adapt the size of the white transparent box to the size of the browser window.
Here: http://www.margomusic.com/ you can see a page I made in Flash where you can see what I mean with the scrolling text inside the box (just let the intro pass and you will see the text)
And here: http://www.anemaecore.net is another page that adapts perfectly to the size of the browser window, but also made in Flash and also this site changes the size of the text instead of the size of the text container.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the replies. I guess I did not ask the question correctly so I will try to explain it better.
What if I want to use the FTP client inside of Dreamweaver to just connect to my server. I can connect to the FTP (see image) but how can I drag a folder from my desktop into the server using Dreamweaver?
I have downloaded a folder and I need to add it to my blog which is only on my server. I do not have a Dreamweaver site. Surely Dreamweaver isn't that archaic that you can't upload a file or folder to a server without having to create a site first. It was so much easier in GoLive.

  • Window size

    Me again.
I would like to set the Main Window size to a particular
value but this does not seem to work for HTML generated from
RoboHelp for Word. I go to Edit > Window but whatever values I
choose, they do not seem to be taken into account when I open my
Help File. This setup works for WinHelp but not for HTML Help
    Files...
Is there any way I can set the window size on opening of a
HTML Help File generated by using RoboHelp for Word?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the feedback, our team is working on improving this in future.
    Cheers, Samuli

  • Mail 7.1- Reduce window size in a new email

I'm having problems reducing the window size when writing a new email. Mail 7.1 does not let me reduce the window size once I introduce a email address.
    Thank you for your help.

Sorry, I didn't mean maximized in the way the window is fullscreen. I have the window in a normal size 2/3 of the screen - then press CMD+H to hide it. When a mail comes in Mail goes back from hide mode to window mode - very strange. And it is only on emails on my first account. When an email on my MobileMe account arrives it stays hidden in the dock.
Maybe it is because I installed FlagIt from http://www.tastyapps.com - a little addon to mark emails with colores and flags. Will check this.

  • Too small window size in standalone flash player in FLEX

    Hello,
I have unchecked the option "generate html wrapper file" so I
don't have to bother about closing the browser tab each time I make
a small change to the code and rerun the application.
This works fine as the standalone flash player closes when I
terminate the application from Flex. However, the standalone flash
player always starts in a fixed window size smaller than my
application size so that I cannot see the whole application. So I
have to enlarge the window size of the standalone flash player each
    time which is annoying!
    Is there a better solution?
Maybe get Flex to close the browser tab after I terminate the
application. I still prefer to use the standalone flash player
during development as my application doesn't depend on the browser
    though.
