Windows 10 64 Bit .iso file won't load.

I have recently downloaded Windows 10, and because I had 32 bit before on Windows 7 it upgraded to Windows 10 32 Bit. I got some new hardware all capable of 64 Bit,
but I can't get the Windows 10 64 Bit .iso file to load. Isn't the mount feature supposed to make it so you don't have to burn it on to a disk. Well I did that and when I click the setup it says, this app can't run on your PC.  Any help?

Make sure your computer is compatible:
For 64-bit installations of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview, a small number of older PCs will be blocked from installing the preview because they don't support CMPXCHG16b,
PrefetchW, and LAHF/SAHF.
You can not install 64 bit from a 32bit installtion.
You may want to try a USB key: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

itunes 11 freezes under windows 7 64-bit immediately and won`t do anything. Please help !

The first thing to do is make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes. Look on the Help/Check for updates menu option in iTunes, which will confirm that you have the latest version or enable you to download it.
The effective way to Sync the iPod is to add your songs to iTunes and then connect the iPod to iTunes after you have added your songs.
So if you have been connecting the iPod and then trying to add songs "to the iPod" - don't!
You add the music to iTunes and then sync the iPod with iTunes afterwards.
Next, try connecting the iPod to iTunes, if you get the "duplicate file message", can you post it here (exact wording please)?
Once you have the iPod connected to iTunes, click on the Device that appears on the left of the iTunes window. On the Device/Summary screen, choose (check) Sync only checked songs and videos. Providing the songs still have the check mark on in iTunes (the default when songs are added to iTunes), those songs will Sync with the iPod.
Notice the other options in additiion to Summary. Look on the Podcasts pane for the Sync option (to add Podcasts to your iPod) and also on the Photos pane for options for adding (or not) Photos to your iPod. If you change any of these options, you will need to press the Sync button afterwards for the changes to take effect.
Lastly (for now), you can only Sync the iPod with one iTunes library. If you try and Sync it with a second library on your computer, or with iTunes on another computer, all your previous songs etc will be removed and replaced with the new library.
A thought... could the duplicate file message be because you have two iTunes libraries on your machine?

Macbook Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with bootcamp 3.0 does not recognize my windows 7 64-bit .iso disc.  I recently used it on my mountain lion macbook pro with no trouble. I partioned the disk and when I insert disc and hit continue, mac says it cannot recognize the windows install disc. What could be the problem? Please help, really stuck!

I was able to import photos in iPhoto and Image capture when I was running SL 10.6.8 on my older MacBook.
Did you try quitting everything, restart the Mac and then try again?
Are there any updates at all for the Mac? I was helping one user not all that long ago and there were updates for her Mac software that had nothing to do with the OS and when she downloaded the updates - the iPad was then recognized in iTunes.

  • Bootcamp won't recognize windows 7 64 bit iso image

    Hi,
I have a macbook pro 13.3 inch with retina.
    Software  OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
I'm running   Boot ROM Version: MBP111.0138.B07
I have windows 7 64 bit, as an iso image on my macbook pro. But for some reason when I run bootcamp I keep getting this error message.
Which doesn't make sense, because I know that I have the 64-bit version installed.
There was a forum that suggest changing one of the text files in applications > utilities > right clicking on bootcamp assistant > content > then changing the info.plist file.
It required me to add a line of text
    <string>MacBookPro11,1</string>
I followed all the steps but then for some reason I was unable to start the bootcamp application, it would show an error.
    Thanks

  • Bootcamp (iMac 27-inch, Mid 2011) Windows 7 (32-bit) or Windows 8.1 via iso file?

    Hey peeps,
I'm trying to bootcamp my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) from an iso file downloaded via Microsoft (DreamSparks).
The only versions of Windows DreamSparks offers are Windows 7 (32-Bit) and Windows 8.1, both of these are .iso files.
I've tried putting both versions onto both a USB and Rewritable DVD, but my iMac doesn't detect the install disk anywhere when running bootcamp.
Any idea how this could be fixed?
I read somewhere that my iMac doesn't support Windows 8+ and will only support 64-bit versions on Windows, any clarification on these two areas would be great.
    Thanks for your time!
    Charkizard

Your Dreamspark account should have an option for both Win 7 Pro 32 and 64 bit.  If not, you can download the 64 bit ISO at http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24281.iso  The serial numbers provided by Dreamspark will work on both the 32 and 64 bit.
Once you have downloaded the ISO on your Mac you use Boot Camp Assistant to create a USB install disk that has both the installer and the bootcamp drivers.  You will need an 8GB flash drive to do this.
Open up Boot camp assistant, there is an option to create a Windows install disk. When you use this option, it *** for the location of the Windows ISO file, once you select the ISO that you want to use just follow the prompts. Boot Camp Assistant will download the latest Boot camp Drivers, and then will create a USB drive with the Windows installer that includes all of the Apple Specific drivers needed by your iMac.
Just note that this process can take over an hour to finish.  But once it does, you can then use Boot Camp Assistant to partition your iMacs drive and then install Windows using the Flash drive that you created.

  • Bootcamp doesn't recognize Win 7 64-bit iso file

Downloaded the official Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version from Digital River and tried to create the Win 7 installation media using bootcamp.
The bootcamp assistant automatically selects the downloaded iso-file. But when I click "Continue", I get an error message saying that Boot Camp only supports the 64-Bit version of Windows and that I should use that version.
Why doesn't Boot Camp accept it?
Anyone can give a another link to download the 64-bit version of Win 7 Home Premium?
I do have a valid product key for Win 7 Home Premium, but my installation DVD is only the 32-bit version, that's why I have to download it.

  • Hyper-v cannot boot Gen2 guest from Windows 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 x64 ISO - file format not supported, Gen1 works fine

I am new to Gen2 Hyper-V and so far I simply can't use it, because I am unable to install any (supported) guest OS from an ISO ...
So far I tried that on:
    1. my HP Z230/i4770 workstation (Secure Boot disabled) host running Windows 8.1 Pro x64 (with Hyper-V feature enabled), can't boot any VM with supported OS ISO.
    2. my home desktop/i3770K (secure Boot enabled) host running Windows 8.1 Pro x64, same result, error during VM boot from ISO, quoted below.
Synthetic SCSI controller (instance blah blah) Failed to Power on with Error 'The version does not support this version of file format'
Gen1 guests of course work perfectly fine with those ISOs, because emulated DVD IDE picks up the official Enterprise Evaluation ISO of either Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 x64 Enterprise, perfectly fine and all works OK in Legacy boot mode.
When I create a new guest and select Gen2, then no matter if I check or uncheck the Secure Boot in virtual Boot Order options for the guest (while setting the SCSI DVD at top of course), it simply doesn't work, always same error. I tried first connecting
to VM to see if it prompts for key press, but it doesn't, the error is instant on Power on when (supported) ISO image is selected to be booted.
I verified that both of official Enterprise Evaluation ISO's of either WS2012r2 and W8.1x64 are bootable in both the UEFI mode (Secure Boot enabled) and Legacy BIOS mode using a physical computer.
    What am I missing here???

FYI, above is wrong! it's not about linking ISO to virtual DVD or selecting "Install OS later", it's all about the location of the ISO file and share permissions on parent folder!
I was actually suspecting several issues, but haven't had time to test it, was thinking about issues like assigning (or not) some of initial settings during Gen2 VM creation, e.g.:
-Network connection through virtual switch or Not Connected (make no different if assigned or not)
-Memory above 4096MB (makes no difference if < or > 4096MB)
-ISO file location (makes huge difference!)
The ISO file CANNOT be placed on network share OR in shared folder on same local drive as the VHDX file (works fine if parent folder is not shared).
I can now replicate the issue easily every time and it always fails with file format unsupported message whenever I have the ISO file located either on remote network share, or (fails the same way too) when I have the ISO file placed locally (on host drive)
when simply a parent folder is shared... must be some permissions issue... and a pretty dumb one considering that in production environments nearly everything is placed on remote file servers ...
... so the moral of the story is, if you want to install Gen2 VM in win8/2012 hyper-V then you must copy the ISO file to Hyper-V host drive AND make sure the parent folder is not shared. works every time now! :)

  • Running Windows on Macbook Air - ISO file question

I need to install Windows on my Macbook Air because some of my classes require using Windows.
I am wondering if I can buy the Windows product key and create an ISO file from it (using this tutorial http://pcsupport.about.com/od/software-tools/a/create-iso-image-file.htm) on my family's PC, and then directly copy that file onto a USB. After that, I would transfer that ISO file from the USB and onto my Macbook Air and then run Bootcamp to get Windows on my Mac.
Though it sounds correct, I don't know if that will necessarily work (the copying the ISO from the PC to my USB part).
Please help! I need to have this installed hopefully within 2 weeks!
    Thanks so much in advance.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
You can install Windows 7 or Windows 8 with an ISO image. I would suggest reading over the linked Boot Camp Installation and Setup Guide as a resource for information.

    ====================== Keyless Install ================================
How to perform a 'Keyless Install' of Windows:
Boot from the Windows 7 DVD disc you created and start the installation process.
After you enter user name and password you will be asked to: 'Type your Windows product key', do not enter a key.
Also located just below the box where you would enter the key is a box with a check mark to 'Automatically activate Windows when I am online', remove the check mark and click 'Next'.
You will now have a 30 day grace period in which to activate Windows.
During this 30 day grace period you can try resolving your problems.
After you are satisfied all problems have been resovled then activate Windows.
    ====================== Device Drivers =================================
Go to your computer manufacture's support web site and check for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.
If there are Windows 7 drivers, then download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, starting with the Motherboard/chipset drivers, SATA, LAN, Audio, USB, Graphics, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

Hi Everyone, Need help here, please..Here is the situation, i want to upgrade my current pre-installed OS (Win 7 x64) Home premium in my laptop HP ENVY 4-1013tx Notebook PC to Windows 10. I'ts fine in the beginning until it shut down because of heat problem. When i try to turn it on, BSOD appeared. I've try to run in safe mode with have no luck, the same BSOD still appeared.I decided to recover it but no OS was detected in recovery mode. I browsed for many forums and they said that my HDD got bad sector so I remove my hdd from the laptop and attached it on my PC and run chkdsk but didn't solve the problem (chkdsk error : an unexpected error occured). So the last thing I've done was to format the HDD and install a clean Windows 10 and can not activate it without the product key. I just want to go back to my Win 7 and want to upgrade it to Win 10 again. Can I get the iso file ? My Product is B4P83PA#AR6 Thank You

  • I have Photoshop for the IPad and my file won't load, can anyone help?

I have the iOS app for adobe Photoshop and I stopped working on my project for a bit, went back to access it (I did save before hand) and it won't load, the loading animation is all that shows and nothing else. It's been doing this for 30 minutes or so. I've tried refreshing, shutting the app and turning it on, shutting off my iPad and turning it on again and nothing.
