Windows 10 and Dynamics CRM 2013 Outlook Client - Identity Foundation missing
How can I install/activate the Identity Foundation in Windows 10.
In Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features the feature is missing.
Dynamics CRM 2013 (and 2011) Outlook Client does need the Identity Foundation:
Error is "Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Identity.Model, Version=3.5.0.0 ...
icomedias Austria - Germany
I've had the same problem with the CRM 2011 Plug-in.. It is not possible to install the Windows Identity Framework onto Windows 10 since it was not included as an option in the "Features" menu.
Also - I found this forum entry discussing that exact problem (with no answer, so far):
Windows Identity Foundation not working with Technical Preview
EDIT: Fixed link. Inside of the linked discussion thread, I see this:
"From Windows 8.1 Features Screen:
WIF 3.5 has been superseded by WIF classes that are provided as part of .NET 4.5. It is recommended that you use .NET 4.5 for supporting claims-based identity in your applications.
so i guess they removed it completely in Windows TP"

App-V CRM 2013 Outlook Client and Office 2013 Click to Run
Hi,
I'm trying to get going with enbing the CRM 2013 for Outlook client with the VL version of Office Pro Plus 2013. I have successfully published and use Office App-V package in a test environment. App-V version 5.0 SP2 is installed on the client
PC (Windows 7 64bit). SCCM 2012 R2 is used to publish APP-V applications to user groups.
I have sequenced the CRM 2013 Outlook client (offline mode disabled) with UR2 and published it using SCCM as a "Add-on or Plug-in. I've also created a connection group so that the App-V version of Office 2013 is able to connect to the sequenced
CRM client. The client installs successfully, but the CRM tab doesn't appear in the Outlook Ribbon, and the Configuration Wizard crashes each time it is launched. The App-V event log is blank (which I'm taking to be a good sign). All CRM
client prerequisites have been preinstalled on the target PC.
I'm thinking that the CRM client can't see the Outlook application and therefore crashes and doesn't integrate with the Outlook application. Problem Signature 09 (from the crash explanation) states "System.NullReference Exception".
I can't seem to find much out there for sequencing the 2013 version of the client. Has any else managed this yet or have any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Thanks,
TimHello,
I would use Process Monitor to understand what happens and to see why Outlook isn't seeing the plugin, and why the wizard is crashing

Hi
We have a test install of CRM 2013 which is working correctly on the server. Logon via the web is ok.
A user was setup to access through the outlook client in office13 running on a win7 platform which also worked correctly. The same user also has secondary access through the outlook client in office 13 running on a win8.1 platform. This never worked correctly
and would show credential errors.
Recently the win7 platform has also disconnected and shows connection errors.
I have tried the following on the win 7 platform:
1. Uninstall the client and reinstall from scratch - unsuccessful
2. Run through the steps in the built in trouble shooter - unsuccessful
Logon using the same creds via the web on the same machine is ok!
What are the next steps to rectify this problem?
Thanks in advance!Hi Melon,

Can't download attachments using the MS CRM 2011 Outlook client
Hello,
I am trying to Open/Save Attachment (from Notes in Meeting Entity) in MS CRM 2011 for Outlook Client. Once I click on attachement nothing happen.
Both CRM Server (On-Premise) and Outlook client are UR13. Its ADFS deployment.

But didn't helped.
From log files I can't get any answer:
I can download file using direct link in web browser. Also there isn't problem when downloading from CRM web app.

Dynamics CRM 2013 : Offline capability with Outlook Plugin
Dear all,
I have a scenario where I have to use the Offline Capability feature of Dynamics CRM 2013 with CRM Client for Outlook plugins.
Can I use the offline capability mode if all my users are using gmail as their email?
If so, can someone guide me please.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks & regards
VinayYou need to change page size in order to see the on button. try Ctrl+0
Regards Faisal
Thanks Faisal for your reply. I tried Ctrl+0 (zero) but no difference. I think Ctrl+0 is for clearing the zoom in/out effect in web pages. While this tool is a windows (desktop) application.
Please note that I have taken the snap (attached in original post) after maximizing the
Update Assembly dialog (by double clicking the title bar area.
The version of the Plugin Registration Tool is 6.1.1.1143 64bit. If you can check your Plugin Registration Tool version and post the snapshot as well?

MS Dynamics CRM 2013 install via GPO
Good Morning,
I need to rollout MS Dynamics CRM 2013 to all 180 of my users. I would like to do this via GPO but I only have the .exe install files and no .msi files. I have adhered to the following -
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699775.aspx
I have followed the steps under the section Create the CRMCLient_bitversion.msi file
but I am not achieving any administrative installation files. For example I have a network share setup as follows -
\\server\crm_files\test
I have mapped a network folder via command prompt using the net use command to map the Z: drive to
\\server\crm_files. As per the instructions I have run the following command -
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe /a /q /targetdir \\server\crm_files\test
When I run this command I am prompted to click Run or Cancel so I click Run. After 2-3 seconds I then get a dialog box showing the different switches that I can run with the only other option being to close the box. After closing the box I look in my
test folder and it is empty.
Should there be something in the test folder? Have I run the wrong command string?
EDIT: Please note that I only have the installation/.exe file for CRM 2013. The article on the link I posted earlier mentions an XML file that is included with the installation files. I do not have this XML file.
Jeet SHi,
Have you checked this article?
Install Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook using a command prompt
==============
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe /a /q /targetdir \\server\crm_files\test
The command here is not in the right way, we need first to extract files from the
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe, under the folder we will find the
SetupClient.exe and the mentioned XML files.
Run this command to extract the file:
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe /extract
Then use the command below to create an MSI file:
Setupclient /Q /A /targetdir "\\share\mscrm_client_admin"
Besides, for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 deployment, we'd better ask in the forum below:

If incorrect forum, just alert and move. I am having an issue with hosted Microsoft Dynamics 2013 and Google Chrome latest release, 31. This just started with the hosted version of Dynamics CRM 2013, Chrome had been working correctly with
our earlier version of CRM.
When users on latest version of Chrome, 31, login to Dynamics CRM 2013, everything looks fine. Issue is specifically, for sales folks, when they open a client record, and where the client info is located, there is a standard date and time and tiny
little calendar you can pull up if you click on it. When the user clicks on the tiny little calendar, they DO get a pop up, but the pop up is blank. And, there is no error message at all. Nothing freezes, nothing bad happens at all, except
for the salesperson, who live and die by their calendars and ability to schedule appointments and see exiting appointments.
This is not some in house coding issue. It is a generic CRM phone call record that has this issue.
Again, no errors, nothing crashes, but Dynamics CRM 2013 is useless to Google Chrome users in house because of this. Which, in a support position, is terrible. Users who got an upgrade, have their favorite interface rendered useless. And these
are sales folks. And, I did all settings according to what I was able to find for CRM 2010 and Chrome, for when pop ups do not work, and all settings were already correct for pop ups, website is in trusted sites, etc, which is what I expected, since
everything worked on CRM 2010.
Any clues or ideas? Thank You.
RickWe don't know. Better to ask over here.

How to improve performance for bulk data load in Dynamics CRM 2013 Online
Hi all,
We need to bulk update (or create) contacts into Dynamics CRM 2013 online every night due to data updated from another external data source. The data size is around 100,000 and the data loading duration was around 6 hours.
We are already using ExecuteMultiple web services to handle the integration, however, the 6 hours integraton duration is still not acceptable and we are seeking for any advise for further improvement.
Any help is highly appreciated. Many thanks.
GaryI think Andrii's referring to running multiple threads in parallel (see
http://www.mscrmuk.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/data-migration-performance-to-crm.html - it's a bit dated, but should still be relevant).
Microsoft do have some throttling limits applied in Crm Online, and it is worth contacting them to see if you can get those raised.
100 000 records per night seems a large number. Are all these records new or updated records, or are there some that are unchanged, in which case you could filter them out before uploading ? Or are there useful ways to summarise the data before loading

Error while installing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Report Authoring Extension set up
HI Experts,
I am trying to install Report Authoring extension tool to work with MS CRM 2015 online reports but unable to install, getting below error even though I am having VS 2013, SQL Server 2014 and Data tools for VS 2013 installed on my machine.
Please help me to fix this issue.
When I double click the error getting below error.
Error : Business Intelligence Development Studio is not installed for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
When I click the details , getting below error.
Thanks
Baji RahamanThe Report Authoring Extensions (any version) don't support VS 2013. Currently the Crm 2015 Report Authoring Extensions support VS 2012 and VS 2010, and the Crm 2013 Report Authoring Extensions supports only VS 2010.
By the way, the error you posted suggests you're trying to install the Crm 2011 Report Authoring Extensions

Does Eloqua Integrate with MicroSoft Dynamics CRM 2013 and or 2015
We are planning to upgrade from Dynamics CRM 2011 to 2013 or 2015. I cannot find information to confirm Eloqua will integrate with the newer versions of Dynamics CRM. I 'hear' Eloqua will integrate with 2013. Does anyone integrate Eloqua with Dynamics 2013 or 2015?
Hello-
We actually integrate with MS Dynamics, both 2013 and 2015 versions and would gladly help you.
Feel free to visit our website for more info: www.putitforward.com/omc
Here's a video on our YouTube channel about MS Dynamics 15 to Eloqua integration.
Hope this helps!

CRM 2015 outlook client does not connect to CRM
Hi,
I am trying to run the configuration wizard to connect the office 2010 outlook to Dynamics CRM 2015 server and get the error below (outlook client 2015 is successfully installed). All the required components
are installed on both server and client side.
Any idea?
captainsinaHi Nico,
How is it going? :)
I am going against on-prem. Not being prompted for credentials. I can go to the services using the browser, but the outlook client fails.
I am using the same credentials on the local machine as the CRM user credentials.

Dynamic CRM connect outlook Client with different domain
Hi Guys,
I had installed CRM 2011 in cloud with different domain.
If I use browser is working fine just that when i use Outlook client it show
15:24:16| Error| Exception : The request for security token could not be satisfied because authentication failed. at System.ServiceModel.Security.SecurityUtils.ThrowIfNegotiationFault(Message message, EndpointAddress target)

I found that is because you must connect to the same domain.
any idea that i can use my Outlook client to connect to CRM 2011 without changing my domain?
Regards,
KimYes - I've been scarred with this for many years :(
If it is just CAS 1 that is causing issues, then focus in on that. The support statement for Win 2008 R2 is that NLB is still a 3rd party component and support may ask for it to be disabled.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278431
Does CAS1 and CAS2 have the same NICs (firmware as well), driver, teaming software, and teaming config?
I also want to ask what the network team did for configuring the switch ports on the servers? This will vary from vendor to vendor - did they do the same config on both?
Cheers,

CRM 2011 Outlook Client not showing all columns in Opportunity Views
Versions:
CRM: 2011 On-Premise - 5.0.9688.1533
Outlook: 2010 Professional - 14.0.6122.5000 32bit
CRM Client for Outlook: 5.0.9690.1992
Basic Problem
The Outlook Client views that show up in Opportunities do not have all the columns that are in the view.
Some of the views do, but not all of them.
Example:
View Name: Won Opportunities
Columns in view: Created on, Location, Quote Type, Scope of Work, Quote Number, Booked Sale Date.....8 other
columns (many custom columns)
Columns in View in Outlook: Icon, Quote Number, Categories, Flag....thats all.
Other Notes
This only happens in the Opportunity section of the Outlook Client.
This does not happen in advanced find in Outlook or anywhere in the web client. This does not happen for any other entity.
This happens on all of our users Outlook clients.
I have tried recreating the view.
No error messages are recording in any logs that I can find.
Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it?
Thank you
Paul1. Are you sure this is a System View and not a User Defined View? Can you take a screenshot of all the availalbe Outlook views when you click on the little down arrow to add a new view? Yes. See the screen shot at the bottom. It is a public
view.
2. What happens when you close the view and add it back? same results.
3. What happens when you restart Outlook? I ask because if you customized your System Views, those are only persistent for a given session. If your restart Outlook, then it should reset the View. we have tried that. and uninstalled Outlook client
and reinstalled. And uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled. Same results. The only view that works for opportunities is the Default Custom View. The strange thing is that the filters are working just fine. just not the columns.
4. A workaround - have you tried creating a new System View similar to the one you want? Yes. same results
