Windows 10 clean ISO installation rather than upgrade

Good moring I not upgraded to Windows10 yet. I read somewhere that Microsoft allow a fresh installation using ISO rather than using Microsoft Update.Since I already upgraded from 8 to 8.1, I think that performing a clean, fresh Windows 10 installation is the best option. Does someone have an idea of the steps reqired to download the ISO and installal a clean Microsoft10? And, more important, what's about Windows10 activation? It is automatic by reading my Bios Product KEY or what? Thank you

here is the link that i will share with you  and i use this and i did it from installing directly on the pc which i did not put on flash drive and disc and i did not have any problems on my 3 units except for my old laptop but it works all fine just the nvida error on the .dll which is 2 of it but my graphic and desktop looks fine and no viewing problems  other than that i can do what ever i need to do and just like a normal operation btw that old laptop has the upgrade of w7 from vista  here is the link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10  good luck

  • I have CS4 but am installing CS6 rather than upgrading.  Do I need to uninstall CS4?

I am still using CS4 at prepsent but am installing the complete CS6 rather than upgrading.  Do I need to uninstall CS4 or is that taken care of when installing CS6?

There should be no problem, having two versions of PS installed. For nearly every program, and for decades, Adobe installers do NOT overwrite existing versions of any program - the installation is complete, and separate.
While I have not tested with PS CS 6, going back, I had PS 4.0.1, PS 7.0.1 and PS CS installed on the same computer. The first, was to do something, that was changed in PS 5.0, and that I used about twice per year. The latter two, were because I knew PS 7.0.1, and had just upgraded to CS, and was learning the differences (significant). I kept PS 7 around, in case a client called at 5:00PM with a revision, and the courier was enroute. I did not want to fumble with a new interface, when under deadline. Never had one issue.
    Good luck,

Thank you, "the-edmeister" -- You render a great service, one that lifts my spirits.
Your answer also taught me to be a little more persistent, as I had started looking at Preferences, and just didn't notice the icons (including Applications) at the top of that window that would have led me to my answer.

  • Firefox 3.6.4 will constantly set window to aero basic interface, rather than aero glass, in Windows 7

Since updating to the most recent Firefox 3.6.4 I have noticed that it will sporadically set the windows interface to the aero basic rather than the aero glass interface I have my Windows 7 set up in (and in which Firefox itself opens). To clarify, the browser opens with the window frame as aero glass, but over the course of ten minutes or so of browsing, I will look up and notice it has reverted to basic. I have not been able to determine what happens when it shifts, or if it is a specific add-on (but I have been deleting or disabling any add-on I think might be causing it). Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known problem? Any work arounds?
    Thanks!

    Every time Firefox opened

I've seen this problem too, in the meantime. I've found that if I disable Shockwave Flash, the problem disappears. Of course, it also means I can't see Flash objects in the web. I've already contacted Adobe about this, but they haven't replied yet. In any case, it does seem to happen when we put Firefox under particular load with Flash objects.

  • When is it time to buy a new laptop rather than upgrade existing?

My daughter has a Macbook with the following config:
    Model Name:                          MacBook
      Model Identifier:                   MacBook4,1
Processor Name:                   Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:                   2.1 GHz
      Number Of Processors:         1
      Total Number Of Cores:        2
      L2 Cache:                              3 MB
      Memory:                               2 GB
      Bus Speed:                            800 MHz
      Boot ROM Version:              MB41.00C1.B00
      SMC Version (system):         1.31f1
We have upgraded hard drive, etc, but her system is gumming up. When is it time to buy new rather than refresh/upgrade??
    Thanks!!

You can still upgrade the RAM to 4GB (or even 6GB under some circumstances) http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/stats/macbook-core-2-duo-2.4-white -13-early-2008-penryn-specs.html
But this doesn't help in general with slowness.
Have a read here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1342 on how-to use the Activity Monitor to determine whether the MacBook is suffering from too low RAM.
Especially on the amount of page-outs which are the indication that you are short on RAM.
Since you already upgraded the harddisk I assume the MacBook don't suffer from too little free diskspace.
When buying a new macBook I would start with the Refurbished section on Apples Online Store.
Some great findings/savings there to make.
My two current Macs (iMac and Mac Pro) are refurbished ones.

  • Is it possible to use bootcamp to install windows on a flash drive (rather than an HD partition)?

I would like to run windows on my Mac preferably from a flash drive, or an external drive. I don't want to install it locally because I don't have enough HD space. I've found a few sites and videos that show you how to do this from a PC (like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vh-F6dcXmsE) but I don't have a PC and I'd like to know if it's possible to use bootcamp to accomplish this.
Thanks very much for any help! Would be greatly appreciated.

If you have Windows-to-Go, it can be installed on an external disk, otherwise Windows licensing restricts it. Bootcamp has additional checks to enforce such licensing.
You can always install it on an internal drive first and then put the drive in a USB enclosure.

  • How do I guarantee that all windows in Safari start merged rather than spawning a new window?  I know how to "merge windows" but want the default to be tabs inside Safari.  Please help.  Thx ... EZ.

Safari windows in tabs by default ... EZ.

    Hello EPZ303
Check in Safari preferences for how Safari handles tab browsing. One you have it configured the way you want, then it is a matter of using it.

  • Fewer problems with Leopard if bought on new iMac rather than upgrade?

I bought a new iMac (my 1st Mac ever) just before Leopard came out, so I have Tiger 10.4.11 now and love it. I've had no problems whatsoever and really don't plan on upgrading to Leopard because of all the problems I keep reading about. My brother is thinking about buying an iMac but hesitates because he's heard so many problems about Leopard. Question for you guys - do the Leopard problems seem more common if you've done an upgrade from Tiger, or are the problems just as common if you buy a new iMac with Leopard installed? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your choice - BUT remember that Millions of people have upgraded with NO problems - you only read about the very few who do have problems. Leopard is a great OS and IF you upgrade carefully (repair your disk, fix permissions, backup and have a bootable clone in case of problems) you are very unlikely to have problems and it is EASY to go back to your clone in the unlikely case that you do have any problem.

This is a "how long ago did yo stop beating your wife question" - Problems are VERY uncommon in either case. With new systems they are highly unlikely since there is no previous damage to the system and NO incompatible third party software on the system - but problems are extremely uncommon in either case
He should move ahead with his purchase IMHO.

  • How can I file at last location rather than location of current file?

I have Abobe Reader X.  In the old Adobe, when I saved a file, it took me to the last folder I was in, not the location of the current file.  Thus far, I have not been able to find out how to get Adobe Reader X to do this.  I even asked work help desk for help and their solution to unclick 'Automatically save document changes to temp file' worked once.
Is it possible?  This is what I want.
    Example:
I open file that is saved at Y:Scanned Files and save it at
X:Dogs/Breeds/Hounds/Sighthounds/Basenjis.  I open the next file that is at Y:Scanned Files and click on File:Save As/PDF and window opens to save at Y:Scanned Files rather than at X:Dogs/Breeds/Hounds/Sighthounds/Basenjis, where I just was.  I want to save file at X:Dogs/Breeds/Hounds/Sighthounds/Afghans so instead of just one click, I now have to go through six.  Now imagine you have 30 or 40 documents you have to save.  That's minimum 180 clicks versus 30.  A big difference.  And if you multiply it further by daily and weekly, it's a lot.
How can I get Adobe Reader X to open the 'save as' window at the last location rather than the current file's address?  I also have Adobe Acrobat, but can't figure out how to get it work in that either.
I do not like Adobe Reader X.   Unfortunately, it got downloaded automatically at work.
Another complaint I have is when I have Adobe Acrobat open and I click on a pdf to open, rather than open in Adobe Acrobat, it opens in Adobe Reader X (which was not the case with the previous Reader).  If I want to open a doc in Acrobat, I have to go to Acrobat and File/Open, which is a pain.
Another complaint is, why do you have 'save as' and then 'pdf' or 'text'?  This is another time consuming click I have to make.  Add it to the 180 I'm already making above and you can see why I'm extremely unhappy and frustated with this version of Adobe.
Please let me know if the above is feasible or not and if it is, how to do it.  If it isn't feasible, please make the above adjustments to Reader Y and put it out pronto.  Thank you.

  • Frequently, when I click on a link, try to return to the previous screen or close a tab, an option box comes up that requires a choice rather than simply doing whatever was originally requested. How can these option boxes be prevented?

Frequently, when I click on a link, an option box will pop up asking whether to open in a new tab or new window and several other options, rather than simply opening in the same window or tab. When I try to return to the previous screen, it often will not let me, or provides options that I do not want. When I try to close a tab, an option box comes up that has several choices that I do not want and "close tab" at the bottom of the box. How to prevent these option boxes from popping up?

Turn of JavaScript. These are "per site" and generated by the site. They are not the normal function of the browser. This usually occurs on attack sites. I'd stay away from them.
The only "trusted" site I ever saw do something like this is Google, which asks me if I'm sure I want to close the tab that has their search results. I really pisses me off, but I have yet to find a way to stop it.
It is certainly bad coding behavior on the part of whomever designed the site. When a user clicks an action, it should be presumed, unless the action is potentially very destructive, that they intended to perform that action. A UI should never incessantly second guess the intentions of a user.

  • X200 Vista to Windows 7 Clean vs. Upgrade - Software License Concern

I bought an X200 with Vista (before the free upgrade) and have now purchased the Windows 7 upgrade software.  Most of the tech forums recommend a clean install instead of an upgrade.  Should I worry whether the software I have purchased (e.g. MS Office, Acrobat 9, etc.) will require me to purchase another license?  Or, will it "recognize" my PC if I copy down the product keys?

    Hi
Most software still do not have activation so there it is a question of having the serial number and the matching installer/CD saved.
With Adobe software that uses activation you can deactivate the software before the upgrade and then reactivate again after.
I do not know how sensitive MS Office is. My experience from one system which I helped recover was that Office activated automatically on the same machine again. I guess even if you would be required to activate over the phone there should be no issues as you are reinstalling on the same machine.

    hello,
    And thank you in advance.
I'm getting "Installer disk not found" message during boot camp 5 and windows 8 install on late 20011 MBP upgraded to OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Any ideas?
I've downloaded the Window support option software and the WindowSetupBox.exe and copied it to the USB drive. I tried to create an iso image from my Windows XP machine but recieved messages that Windows 8.1 could not run on XP.  I've ordered the Windows 8.1 backup media.
    Any way to proceed?
    Thanks  Tim

    download the win 8 iso from here;

  • Lightroom CC showing up as 'Try'  in Creative Cloud app rather than as upgrade to Lightroom 5

I have a current photography plan.  I am running Windows and my PC meets minimum requirements.  Creative Cloud is only showing Lightroom CC as a 'Try' Option rather than an upgrade to Lightroom 5.  Do I just have to bite the bullet and install the trial and CC will sort it out or is there an issue here with licensing?

I got the same thing.  I installed it from the Try button and it would not open in Windows 8.1 from the new desktop icon and I still had version 5.5 in the task bar tray.  I'm waiting nearly and hour now for live chat, so I'd say theres a lot of people contacting Adobe with problems.

  • I accidentally downloaded a windows based version of Elements 12 rather than a Mac based.

I accidentally downloaded a windows based version of Elements 12 rather than a Mac based.  How do I undo this?

What about if you go to Start>Control Panels>Programs and Features?  Is it listed there?  If not then you will want to run the installer again from the install files.  By default the install files are saved to your user folder.
