Windows 10 Compatibility Issue - Intel Graphics Media Accelerator

Hi. I have been trying to update my pc to windows 10 as I'm sure many people are right now. However, after registering for my copy of it and being told everything is fine and my pc will run windows 10, it now appears I cannot. I receive a message saying: "The display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible with Windows 10. Check with the manufacturer for support." As stated above the graphics driver is Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. Unfortunately I have been unable to find which series though. However, my issue is I cannot find any update for the graphic driver which makes my pc compatible with windows 10. I'm asking whether anyone knows anything about an update either available now, or any info such as a release date. I really hope nobody has to say this, but I'd even be grateful for someone to tell me my pc would never be compatible. Thanks in advance.

I have used the manual way of downloading W10 using the regedit etc. I then cancelled the installation due to fears my pc may crash or get stuck between W8.1 and 10 and be unable to get back to 8.1. Would continuing the installation be dangerous or is it safe to try? I was desperately looking forward to W10 and I'm now so disappointed I can't right now.

  • What is a difference between Intel UMA and intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 ?

What is a difference between Intel® UMA and intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 ?
    Solved!

Which models? UMA refers to shared memory, and is not the actual chipset. So this is simply a case where the video card isn't listed (while in the 3150 model, it is).

    Hi,
Just download the Intel Video driver from Lenovo and resinatall. It won't bother again.
I write a blog for you on this issue. Lenovo provides an official explain in the reference section of my post.

  • Windows 7 Control Panel Display and Intel Graphics Media Control Panel Constantly

    I have a Nvidia NVS 5200 M running with Intel 4000 and Windows 7 on a Lenovo T430S.
Whenever I load the Control Panel -> Display settings, I can see options just fine, but I click on any of the drop down menus and they appear for a second, then immediately disappear (fast enough that I can't change settings).
There's a similar problem when I look in the Intel Graphics Media Control Panel. It constantly appears to be "loading" - the mouse icon turns into a little blue circle off an on, continuously. Similar thing with the settings, too - they appear and let me change them, but immediately return to the original setting. I can change them if I act SUPER quickly to make the change then click Apply. But 99/100 I'm not fast enough.
All drivers are up to date. I have no idea what to do (reinstall or uninstall this Intel Graphics control panel? How? Or somehow change a setting on my graphics card).
    Please help!

Try uninstalling both drivers, then reinstalling them. Sometimes a clean driver update works better.

  • Graphics media accelerator

Checked with Intel and if you are using an HP Exvy X2, with an Atom chip set, the graphics media accelerator will not be upgraded for use in Windows 10.

  • I dont have the Intel Graphics media 3600 series driver, I only have 2600, how do i find the update?

I finally have the Windows 10 icon, but theres one little annoying catch, it says I dont have the Intel Graphics Media Accelorater 3600 series. I have Intel 2600 on my acer Aspire one netbook. It says my display won't work. I tired downloading the driver from Intel website but it says this: The driver being installed is not being validated for this computer, please obtain the appropriate driver from the manufacturer. Does anyone have a link and driver that works? I'm here on the Acer's website, and I'm not finding what I need. How can something so small become such a big hassel? Computers work great when they work, but when you try to reserve Window 10, its becoming a pain in my ars.Sincerely, Dawn

Intel drivers can't install until you uninstall Acer's Intel VGA drivers. To check drivers support:http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support keep in mind that only this models will have Acer driver support for windows 10:http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows10-eligible-models

  • Intel graphics multimedia accelerator has no driver after loading windows7

hp pavilion desktop a814x pc  drivers for windows 7

    Hi:
The onboard Intel graphics adapter in your PC is not completely capable of running W7.
There are no W7 drivers for it because it cannot run the Windows Aero feature.
I found a way a while ago to get a notebook graphics adapter to work on many desktop models with the Intel 910/915 chipset and the GMA900 graphics adapter.
If it works, you will be able to have all graphics capabilities except Windows Aero.
This will only work for Windows 7, 32 bit.
Here is what you need to do...
Download and run this Vista driver.  You will get an unsupported operating system error.  Close out of any error windows.
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=447348&spf...
Go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters category. Click on the Standard VGA Adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software method, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
After you reboot, your PC should have decent graphics.

  • Windows compatability issues

Since I got my macbook in Decemeber, I have noticed that whenever I am using Microsoft Word, and I save the file it saves a .doc, (there are no compatibility issues and I am saving as a microsoft friendly document) but when I email it to someone with a PC or put it on my flashdrive to open on another computer (PC) it saves as a .dat file. The file will open word if I am opening it from the flashdrive, but if I email it that person (mostly my professors) cannot open the file. It has grown quite annoying and would really appreciate any help PLEASE!!

Go to "Attachments" in Mail's "Edit" menu and enable "Always Send Windows Friendly Attachments".

  • Intel graphics SNA acceleration - QT apps and firefox problem

    Hi guys.
I have a laptop with an integrated Intel HD4000 graphic card.
Since the gnome 3.8 update, I had problem with GDM, which sometimes got stuck on login, refusing to load gnome-shell. So I since use the SNA acceleration method instead of UXA, which solves this problem.
But then appears an other problem : strange distortion on QT apps menus. Here is an exemple with VLC :
But this wasn't stopping videos to play correctly, so after testing a few parameters available in the wiki and being unable to solve it, I was thinking to just wait for a graphic driver update, as I had read that some problems could be solve by the next update.
Then come the update : problem is still here, and now I have that with firefox:
This is supposed to be the Archlinux logo you can see in the top left corner of the forum…
    So my asking is:
    - does anyone know what to do to have SNA working properly ?
    - OR does anyone know how to make GDM work correctly with UXA acceleration ?
I don't really care about using SNA or UXA, as I didn't see a performance difference, so one or the other will be great.
(off course, if someone know how to fix them both, I will not complain, having choice is always better )
    Thanks in advance !

Wow!  A fix from 2011 got my gdm working again!  Thank you!
With a couple of reboots I was able to even log into gnome-shell.  All of my shell extensions are gone (??) but it's an easy matter to get them back.
Gnome 3.8 is a strange and fragile thing.
You saved me from wiping my Archlinux installation and starting again from scratch...I strongly believe that every problem should be fixed without resorting to the "fresh install" magic but I almost gave up this time.
ahh that may be why I wasn't having issues, I always use that workaround, first thing I do on any gnome install on an intel machine, because that workaround is needed to remove video-tearing on intel with gnome-shell (without that work around there may appear to be no visible screen tearing, but when watching fullscreen video you will notice tearing near the top)

  • How to grey out Intel Graphic Media for local users?

does anyone know how to grey out the options to stop local users changing graphics options from Intel media graphics for Mobile?
As well if anyone know what is different in BIOS updates, any option to cancel booting devices (not only change order)

    Hi
Sorry but something like this is not known to me. You can disable a lot of different functions but display properties and settings are always available.
BTW: I do not see some problem there is someone change resolution or whatever if the resolution is high and symbols to small.
As far as I know it is not possible to cancel booting devices.

  • Windows Compatibility Issue (?)

I cannot open iTunes with Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1; I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, I have unchecked to run in compatibility mode, and I have run iTunes troubleshooting, but continue to get "incompatible application detected".  I tried using the recommended settings, but same results.  This issue started in June....Any solutions?

  • T530 windows 8.1 Intel graphics driver for Widi

A new graphics driver appears to be required when running Widi on the T530 after an upgrade to Windows 8.1.   Intel provides a generic version 15.33.5.64.3316, but this will not load on the T530.   It fails because it wants me to load a version from Lenovo.   Lenovo does not appear to have released a new graphics driver for the Intel 4000 graphics processor yet.   When will that be available?
    Barry
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You need to uninstall the existing intel driver using programs and features in control panel. After restarting, the generic driver should be able to install using the installer. I wouldn't force install via device manger as when I did that it left components of the old driver around and caused system hanging.
