I tried to install the System Center Config Manager client on Windows 10 Enterprise Preview edition and able to only install the Config mgr client. End point protection error wrong OS version.
Can some one advise me.

It is known issue and since it is Technical Preview not only SCEP but also you are unable to install other Anti-Malware software. You may use Windows Defender which build into Windows 10 TP and it is full Anti-Malware protection.

Hi Everyone,
Just seeing if anyone knows a fix for this, basically when I deploy Win 8.1 using SCCM 2012, the deployment is successful, joins to the domain during the task sequence.
My issue at the moment is that, at the login screen it's defaulted to sign-in with email address (microsoft account) below I can select Domain or Fingerprint
How do I change it so that it defaults to Domain sign-in, when I deploy Win 8.1 without Fingerprint software, it defaults to domain sign-in which I'm after.

According to your description, I'm not sure whether your system deployment is full successfully, if your system just had one User Account, you will doesn't have switch user option at login screen.
So, firstly, please check your computer user account after you login into system, make sure your domain user account has been created and enabled.
Scondly, try to use Switch User feature at Start Screen for test, make sure your system work properly. if not, you can try to use
netplwiz command to open User Account. In this interface, you can choose which user account as default user.

Unless and until Microsoft modifies the license terms for System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection and/or modifies the Online Services Terms (OST) and/or other document explicitly saying that use is included with the Azure RemoteApp (ARA) monthly
fee I recommend you assume as that it is
not included and license it separately for ARA if that is even possible, which is a separate question.
For licensing it is best to be cautious and make decisions based on the official documents that are available that govern use of the software and services involved. At this moment I'm not able to find a Microsoft document that grants use of System
Center 2012 Endpoint Protection with Azure RemoteApp.
When I first used the gallery template and noticed that Endpoint Protection was installed within it I had the same question as you. I will update this thread if/when I obtain more information.

I've got System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection client installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server. I've just noticed that if System Center Endpoint Protection detects some malware that requires system restart in order to successfully clean it,
the notification will be seen by all logged users on Terminal Server and if anyone will press on "Restart" than the Server will reboot even if User hasn't the required permission and I think this is totally unacceptable, Microsoft has to do something
about it. In all situations only an Administrator should have the right to restart the Server.
Please fix this issue asap, thank you.While there is no setting that just controls the 'SCEP needs to reboot', there are other settings that might help.
Have you tried setting "Disable the client user interface" to Yes on the antimalware policy? How about "Show notifications messages..."? I don't have a way to reproduce the behavior you were seeing, but maybe you can give it a shot.
I understand why Microsoft would want to give non-admin users a prompt to reboot a machine that needs it to remove malware. This is the typical scenario for most workstations. However, your exception with a terminal server is definitely something that
needs a workaround.
If you put in Connect feedback asking for a discreet setting to control this, please post a link to it.

How effective is System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Windows?

Is there any thing out there that compares how effective System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection is compared to other AV / Malware solutions? I have read where MS Security Essentials comes up short of the level of protection compared to
other solutions.

Truth is SCEP may be good at how it works, it doesn't whine to users and it integrates to ConfigMgr. That's where it's good at. And I get Jason's point there, I'd just like to know what are those "other products" that haven't found the malware
when SCEP did? MS may gather telemetry, but so do all the other players.
There are several companies that do ONLY and ONLY AV products so they put their 100% effort in them, I don't think that AV is the business priority number 1 for MS.

I just applied update:

It is installed with the SCVMM Console application.
If you search around for the old SCVMM Self Service portal, you will discover how MSFT originally enabled this from a web front end.
If you look at Windows Azure Pack you will find a new pattern using RDP gateway.

Error message while upgrading to System Center 2012 R2 Orchestrator
I recently tried upgrading System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 Orchestrator to System Center 2012 R2 Orchestrator on a Windows Server 2012 instance, running in VMware Workstation. According to the Microsoft TechNet documentation, you basically remove all of
the Service Pack 1 Orchestrator components, and then install the new R2 Orchestrator components.

So, that's what I did. When it got to the point of running the Orchestration Console and Web Service installation, it failed.
The relevant portion of WebComponents.msi log file indicates the following:

to create the Virtual Machine to run Operations Manager. Problems:
1) when I first connected to the Virtual Machine just created in Hyper-V, there was a cmd window saying that was impossible to connect to the domain I provided. i think the domain was correct. Is this error a showstopper or the Operation Manager should be
able to run anyway?
2) To run Operation Manager on the Virtual Machine, the install guide says "On the desktop of the virtual machine, double-click the
Operations Manager Console folder. Operations Manager Console
folder provides access to different parts of Operations Manager. Double-click
Operations Console to open the Operations Manager console."
so I did click on the Operation Console icon but it says the file does not exist in the Virtual Machine. How is that possible if this is a prepackaged Virtual Machine ready to use for evaluation? I checked the pointed folder and actually inside "c:\Program
Files" there is no System Center folder at all..?

This a French platform with a project based on the Process Template SCRUM 1.0 alone in a Team Project collection. The Operational Issue import completed successfully. It’s possible to manipulate

to configure SCOM Alert Attachment and Operation Manager Tfs Work Item Synchronization. Everything seems to be ok. All configurations succeed. We did not configure Intellitrace collector.
The problem occurs when we are trying to push an APM alert to TFS. When we assigned an alert to the Engineering nothing is synchronized in TFS. There is no error in the event viewer on the TFS
server. But, on the SCOM server we get 2 exceptions raised by Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Modules.Apm.TfsWISync.OMModules. We provide you the log of the SCOM Server in this mail.

Error installing DPM Agent in Update Rollup 5 for System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager
I have updated my main DPM server to Update Rollup 5 for System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager and all went well.
All Protected servers updated and rebooted and continued protection - EXCEPT one;
Physical Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter.
Tried Manual install - no luck
Removed Protection Agent / rebooted / re-installed - no luck
Installed all updates / re-install - no luck
this seems to be the only indicated problem in MSDPMAgentInstall.LOG.....

System Center 2012 VMM Install Problems
So I have been trying to install System Center 2012 VMM on a fresh instance of Server 2012 R2 Standard. I have insured that all of the prerequisites are installed that are required, but I receive the following errors:
From the install Wizard - Installing E:\amd64\setup\msi\Server\vmmServer.msi failed with Windows Installer error 1603.
See C:\ProgramData\VMMLogs\vmmServer.log for more information. After resolving the problem, retry setup.
From Event Viewer - Product: Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (x64) -- Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personel or package
vendor. Custom action ConfigWsman script error - 2147221503, : Line 260, Column 9,
From vmmServer.log - This log file is too large to post in its entirety so here is where I think the problem is.

It seems ConfigWsman failed .
I would suggest you to perform a check for SCVMM installation environment via running scvmm configuration analyzer:
