    @[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/160087 verdi]: thanks for your helpful suggestions. The "fix" (actually a kludge, but I gotta work with what F5 and my employer give me) was:
    # Install/run latest Firefox 3 (despite there being [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/932269 no 64-bit version for linux]) using [https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BzDAFHgIxRzKbmJDUGZqTzhfbDg this bash scriptlet].
    # Create a [https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BzDAFHgIxRzKQjRyQndqUTJpRXM run script] to start firefox so that one can
    #* choose the appropriate profile (I was unable to set it from the script without startup error)
    #* run multiple instances (I don't want 3.x firefox touching my uplevel profile)
    # Run Firefox 3.x with the runner, then point it to my employer's site to install the [http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_apm/manuals/product/apm_compatibility_matrix_10_2_1.html F5 Network Access Plugin] (restarting firefox as required).
    The gnome-terminal tab from which I invoke the runner spews a bazillion "wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64" errors, but the plugin runs, and I can SSH normally (though more slowly) to servers on the VLAN from another terminal tab.

    Hello there Keith,
    I think it would be a good idea to see how a new iTunes library looks. Use this to open an alternate iTunes library:
    iTunes: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1589
    IF it looks the way it is supposed to then I recommend recreating your iTunes library.
    iTunes: How to re-create your iTunes library and playlists
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1451
    IF on the other hand, you get the same thing with a new library, then I recommend re installing iTunes altogether.

  • I have updated to version 6 twice, I am using Windows XP, yet every time it states I am not updated, my browser looks like the old one? How can I get this fixed to look like the new browser version?

    I still have all the menu options at top... (ex:File, Edit, View...ect) Looks like old version, Under Help it says version 6, yet when I open it, it states I am not updated..
    I would like to get the new version, please help! Thanks, Kristal

    are you doing the update with admin privileges?
    has caused quiet update failures for me in the past...

  • It looks like the way forward is to delete any apps you are having problems with and reinstall hopefully you have your data on iCloud this seems to work

    Looks like deleting and reinstalling the apps your having the problems with works in some cases

    Hi Flash, Just some info to correct yours. First, not everyone is having a problem with FP 10.1 and there are solutions and reverting to FP 10.0 would not be the first choice. If that was for you, that's fine. If you would read the many many threads here, you would find correct information for users that want to revert back to FP10.
    Also may I suggest you read up on Firefox version 3.6.6 as this is involved sometimes with FP 10.1.
    Lastly, I think it is always better to find out what a user's issues are before offering a solution. Reverting back to FP 10.0 is not for everyone that is having a problem nor should it be.
    If your instructions solved whatever problem you were having, that's great. However, to recommend this to other users that come here for help without knowing what their problems are may not be the best advice, in my opinion.
    There are many other details in the Uninstall Instructions and also the Install Instructions that need to be followed.
    That is why it is better for each user to have their own thread and receive help for their individual issues. This is also based on their computer system configuration.
    Believe me, if there was one fix for all FP 10.1 or any other version issues, it would be posted
    Thanks,

  • HT201472 I press lost mode to find my iPhone 4s but my wife find it but it look like is blanck and donot do anything what ca i do

    I lost my iPhone 4s I press Vito find my iPhone but wife find it but is look like is lock the screen is blue

    Hello Eltitiramirez,
    It sounds like you are unable to unlock your phone after putting it into Lost mode, because the screen is blue. I would reset the phone with this:
    To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
    From: Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    That should force the phone to restart, so you can enter the passcode to get the phone out of Lost mode.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • White screen with grey stripe down the middle. What does this mean?

  • Google advanced search page no longer looks like in did in versions of Firefox before 8.0 for the Mac

    With version 8.0, the Google advanced search page is different than it looks (and has always looked) with Safari.

    Here are three files.
    #1: If the text is larger, items in the right hand column appear below each corresponding text box, necessitating scrolling down the page. See next image.
    #2: Part of search page with larger font (the size I usually use). This is a screenshot of a pdf showing what I see (GOOGLE logo at top of page missing).
    Ugh!
    #3: How the advanced Google search page looked BEFORE the update to Firefox 8.0. This is how it still looks in Safari 5.1.1.

  • Since restarting my MBP this morning, I now have a list of numbers looking like dates running down the middle of my display

    I can't get rid of them - they are overlaid across the desktop and all apps
    Very confusing - and annoying!
    Anyone else experienced this?

    Can you take a screenshot and post it here (-> http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4391 and use the small camera icon in the composition bar to upload the photo)?
    Which MacBook Pro do you have (e.g., "15-inch Late 2011")?

  • Why am I getting a message that says "Page is taking too long to load"? And then it gives me a stripped down version of the page. BUT it always works fine in Safari, AND I have a 15MBPS Internet connection?

    It routinely affects the most frequent sites I visit: odesk.com, batchbook.com, google reader. They aren't bandwidth intensive sites, and as I mentioned I have a really fast internet connection. Sometimes refreshing the page helps. Other times it doesn't and I have to use Safari.

  • Looks like a bug in Java ... what's going on he

    I can't really recreate this problem, but it occurs in situations like the one below. Unfortunately the program is just too complex to post it all here. In other words, I'm not sure if this exact code will produce the bug, but it happens sometimes in similar situations:
            System.out.println("arrived here");
            // while not ready
            System.out.print("waiting until initialisation is ready..."+AnimationFrameManager.printCurrentFrame()+" ... ");
            // System.out.println("THIS LINE HAS BEEN PRINTED");
           while (!this.isReady)
                // do nothing
            System.out.println("done!");The bug is that I get output like this:-
    arrived here
    waiting until initialisation is ready...3...waiting until initialisation is ready...3...done!Why is it printing twice?
    Weirder still is that if I put a line in-between the last println statement and the beginning of the while loop (for example, the line that is commented out above), then it works as expected!
    i.e.
    arrived here
    THIS LINE HAS BEEN PRINTED
    waiting until initialisation is ready...3...done!If I take the static method call out, it works as expected:
            System.out.println("arrived here");
            // while not ready
            System.out.print("waiting until initialisation is ready... "); // <!-- took the static method call out
            // System.out.println("THIS LINE HAS BEEN PRINTED");
           while (!this.isReady)
                // do nothing
            System.out.println("done!");Any ideas?

    There is no GUI, just console output.
    I realise there is multi-threading going on "behind the scenes", but I haven't explicitly created any threads except for one; this is the one-and-only thread created by me, does this help? I can't imagine how it could possibly be responsible for these "multithreading issues".

                    //System.out.println(imageFile);
                    images[x] = SuperImage.createFrom(imageFile);
                System.out.println("done!");
                imageNo = 0;

  • HT1353 im trying to download games on to the ipod touch 2nd gen and looks like the software driver has been removed,what does that mean and how do i sort it?

    i have an iod touch and aparently the software driver has been removed and i had it restored to factory settings as i bought it from someone,what does this mean and how do i solve the problem

    Just what error message are you getting?
    Are you trying to redownload them directly to the iPod?
    If you are getting an error message that included Open GL 2 or similar that means that the app requires that but only the 3G and later iPods support that.
