Windows 10 not accepting pre-installed Windows 7 key

I have an Acer laptop which came with windows 7. I installed Windows 10 from an ISO provide by the Microsoft web page due to the length of time I was waiting for my upgrade notification. The Install went fine but I am concerned that Windows 10 is now refusing to accept the Windows 7 license key I got with my pre-installed laptop. If I had waited for the upgrade notification I'm sure the upgrade would not have asked for the key and the OS would be happy. So, what can I do now?

It is confusing. I took the safe route and just went through Windows update. But the article in Link below says you can use iso. Hi, I'm helping StringSinger2 with this problem.
The previously installed version is Pages 3.0.3 (the same as from iWork 08). This version (Pages 3.0.3/iWork 08) is incompatible with Pages 5.
That is why it would be helpful to install iWork 09, which is the version between the two. It will open the older 08 files, and its saved files are readable by the new Pages5.

When I try to install iWorks 09 from my retail DVD the error message is "the installer is damaged". (I know the dvd is good, I installed iWorks09 to my laptop today.) Is the "installer" part of the system files? And - If that is damaged is there a patch for that?

I have tried all of the community fixes.
I* have cleaned the registry and repair is using the I can not access any .msi files on the skype site (not authorized). So that solution does not work.

First make sure that you have installed the latest Windows Updates.

HFS File system with case sensitive is not accepted to install creative cloud? Is there any other way but install the whole MacOS again after formatting the drive. I cannot belief that Adobe is so bad to it's Mac customers..

After many hours setting up OS10.10 from he scratch the last step should be installing m Adobe apps again.
trying this I always get the error message that creative cloud does not accept case sensitive file systems and I shall use another drive.
This means I have to set up the whole machine again after formatting without case sensitive but then having copy problems with my NAS?
I cannot belief that Adobe is really demanding this. If so this would show how urgent this market need alternatives and some more competition...

Cs3 serial number not accepted when installing cs6 as upgrade

I downloaded photoshop cs6 after paying for it as an upgrade from photoshop cs3. During the installation it asked me for the serial number for cs4 or cs5 but not cs3. It would not accept the serial number of my cs3. A look at other forums suggests the only way round this is to hack in as if I was doing an illegal download. When I installed on this computer, the help Desk took over my computer and had a lot of trouble overriding the problem. I now have a new computer and am having the same problem in trasferring cs6 to the new computer. Unfortunately I have deactivated cs6 on this computer and at present cannot use it at all.

Does Apple not accept pre-paid Visa cards?

I went all out to get a pre-paid Visa just so that I can use it with Appstore,
purposely to have a limit, but it seems that it does not accept this kind of card.
What's the deal on this?

Acrobat 9.1 not accepting any of our LIC Keys

After running the AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr.msp on the existing 9.0 AIP I find that the Lic key no longer allows the install to run. If I double click on my newly updated MSI file, the install for 9.1 will not accept my Volume lic Key or any others. I wonder if we have to install 9.0 and then apply the 9.1 MSP file to the install? We are gearing up to push Acrobat v9 out and that would not be good to have to push two seperate installs. Is there anyway around doing it that way?

Modify setup.ini to include the patch into the main installer. This modification will add the .msp to the installation run by setup.exe. The additional required line is below in red this is an example. The patch filename given in this example was for 9.0.1, the contents of the ini was for EFG Standard. The filename will be different in 9.1 and may vary based on SKU, and the ini file contents vary based on SKU.
Note that the only changes required are to:
1. Add the .msp to the installer media folder
2. Add the PATCH= line to the product section of setup.ini

Have Windows OEM Product Key -but key is not accepted when Installing New Windows 8.1 Disk

I was able to secure the Product Key for what I thought was a Windows 8.1 OS on my Toshiba notebook. I believe my notebook ORIGINALLY had an OEM version of 8.0 (was pre-loaded when I bought the notebook) but at some point I updated the OS to 8.1. I
was able to verify that I was currently using 8.1 via the Bios set-up utility. After securing the product key, I contacted Microsoft and they agreed to send me 32 and 64 bit versions of Window 8.1 free of charge (so as long as I covered the shipping.)
When I went to install the 8.1 disk, I received a message stating that the product key didn't work. I can't help but wonder IF perhaps because my PC originally came with 8.0 that it's product key won't work with 8.1? When Microsoft asked
WHICH version I had on my PC, I had advised that I was using 8.1. They never asked what was the ORIGINAL OS?
Any ideas?

notebook went in to standby mode- a very normal process when I would step away from the notebook for a decent amount of time. When I tried touched the power button to release it from stand by, I received a message that the OS was not able to start up
due to TWO (very specific) files that were either missing or had been corrupted. The message recommended re-installing the OS in order to re-insalll or otherwise correct the file errors. I spent a good 3-4 hours researching this on a number of
Microsoft/ IT sites, and it appeared this was a very common error -stemming from "boot disk error" -or "errors with hard drive/ partitions". I then began my trek to a) locate the product key (of which I was able to secure from the BIOS) and b) have Microsoft

You need to install the version that the serial number is assigned to. There shouldn't be any reason for the disc to fail, but you can try downloading version 10 and see if that works...

HELP: Intel iMac does not accept Tiger install DVD

A friend bought a used intel imac w/o any of the restore discs. He bought Tiger and wiped the hard drive but the computer will not start up from the Tiger disc when holding down C. How can we install Tiger onto this computer? Any ideas?

An intel Mac will only boot from the installer disk that came with it. It's an intel Tiger installer disk. You can't use a ppc Tiger installer disk. So, he needs to get the disks that came originally with the Mac. Or, wait for Leopard.

You mentioned that you are purchasing through Amazon. Have you been in contact with the seller? If you are getting more than one package from them without a serial code then they should certainly be notified.
I would recommend purchasing Photoshop or Premiere Elements 13 from Adobe directly or an authorized reseller. You can find a list of Adobe Resellers at Find an Adobe reseller.

Serial number not accepted lightroom MAC but works on windows

loaded a test version of lightroom on MAC. Tried to add the serial number but number was not accepted.
Installed Lightroom on Windows PC and entered the serial number and this works fine.
Why can I not add the same number on my MACbook?

Christian the version available through the Creative Cloud Desktop application is designed for subscription customers. Please run the uninstaller for Photoshop Lightroom located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.
Once you have installed the subscription version you can download the full version from Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh. Each update contains the full installation files so please download the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1.
If you do not have a Creative Cloud or Individual membership then I would recommend removing the Creative Cloud Desktop application. It is designed as an installation mechanism for individuals who have an active membership.
