Windows 10 Technical Preview Enterprise Build 9879 Product Key

Does the Windows 10 Technical Preview Enterprise 9879 uses the same product key as build 9841???

I would have been totally satisfied if the final release was B9860.
I have installed the TP on all my pc's. I have 3 desktops and a laptop that I did clean installs for on spare hard drives.
I also cloned the Windows 8.1 systems from each of them - and upgraded to Win 10 TP to see how it would handle the variety of applications I have on each.
One minor issue was that a diagnostic application I prefer to use - lost some of it's capability to display certain components like CPU specs.
The audio had been working exceptionally well up to B9860. Then I had one major issue on one of the desktops - when the audio stopped working right. Microphone audio was passed to the speaker output correctly - but NO audio
was passed from Windows Media Player or Winamp. But it did pass audio thru to the speakers from a music editing application which I use.
Even more strange was that when I moved that hard drive to another desktop which has similar motherboard - the audio works perfectly. Both have VIA audio devices.
I also installed Win10 TP Enterprise on a hard drive and had the same results as above when booted up on those two desktop pc's. Whatever evidence I could extract has been passed back to Microsoft.
On checking I find the Win10 TP and Enterprise use the same key.
Otherwise - as you say - Windows 10 is GREAT. So I can't wait for the final release.
btw: I have done about a dozen different installs and never had to enter the install key when installing any of the Win10 systems. I have the general Win10 TP B9841 ISO burned to a DVD and each install had to be upgraded to the next build available.
The Enterprise comes as B9879 and I burned that ISO to a USB3 Flash Drive. Much better performance - and re-usable. So I will not be using DVD's in future.

Where can I download/get Windows 8 OEM if I have my product key

My laptop messed up and now I have to re-install windows 8 which came with my laptop. I tried to get it for free from the microsoft website because I have my product key but the retail version wont work for my computer because I need the OEM version. The Windows support guy said I could get this for free from HP but whenver I contact them they want me to pay $50+ dollars which doesnt make sense because ive already purchased windows. How do I get a copy of this

You had the opportunity to create your own recovery disks when you got the computer if you read the manual.
Repeatedly tap the F11 key at boot to see if you can enter the recovery partition to factory restore your system. If not, you will have to order the recovery disks.
You could download, create and burn a Windows 8.1 ISO to use on your system. It will not have the HP Software that came with your computer though.

I had photoshop on 2 other computers that i purchased the product for, ive had to replace those computers because they were damaged. i have my product key but i do not see where i can enter it for my new computers? any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10 technical preview installation has failed

Hi,
I currently use Windows 10 build 9860 on my computer and in another partition of my hard drive I have windows 8.1
Today I was trying to update my build trough the update and recovery>preview builds, but I was getting this error message: "Failed to install the new build, please try again later. 0x8024200D"
After that, I tried to download the offline .iso of the new build and running the setup, every was looking fine but when the installation got to 25% it came back to my desktop and a message appeared: "windows 10 technical preview installation has failed"
Any way that I can solve this?

I tried a bunch of different steps:
- Do a clean boot
- Use command WSReset.exe on run box
- Command prompt:dism.exe /online /cleanup-image scanhealth and restorehealth(When i use restorehealth gives me this error:0x800f081f)
- Create a new admin user and try to install update
- rename softwaredistribution
- Command prompt: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML
None of this worked so far for me.

Windows 10 Technical Preview: Windows Defender

Hi,
I have recently come into an issue with the Windows 10 Technical Preview
I have Disabled Windows Defender through the program and i now want to turn it back on.
When I go to the control panel and press turn on now it does nothing. I have checked the registry and the values DisableAntiSpyware and DisableAntiVirus are set to 1 when I try to change these values to 0 it prompts me with: Error writing Value's new contents.
I have tried this on 13 computers and the problem is there
The version for these computers was 9860 through 9879
I believe this to be a Windows error

I briefly had the same (or similar) issue. On the "Home" tab of the Defender interface, the "Turn On" button refused to work, citing the error about the Defender service being off (but both were, in fact, on.) The "fix"
was easy enough, though...instead of from the Home tab, I went to the "Settings'' tab and from there simply checked the box and hit "OK/Apply"...and bingo...the problem disappeared and Defender successfully restarted.
IMO, it's a UI bug in Defender--a small one that I would never have noticed at all except that I turned Defender off to correctly apply build 9860 (as it would fail to install otherwise), and discovered the bug upon my attempts to restart Defender after
9860 installed. 9879 installed, however, without my having to first deactivate Defender's real-time (actually, I forgot about it...;))
That was the very first time I've had to turn off Defender's real-time in order to successfully install a program...but Win10 is a beta, and so such things are par for the course. What counts is not that they happen, but rather that we resolve them,

I had problems using both Diskpart and Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool, but I finally got a usb stick ready to run and install Windows 10 Technical Preview. It wasn't easy but I found another third party iso to usb tool called Rufus to finally get
my bios to boot into the usb drive. Anyway that's not the problem i'm inquiring about, its more about a warning popup message during the dual boot installation.
After selecting the keyboard layout and language and Microsoft user agreement screens, I select the custom installation to select the partition i want to install Windows 10. A warning message saids," The partitions on the disk selected for installation
are not in the recommended order for additional information about installing to gpt disk go to the Microsoft website and search for gpt." , and then it asks if you want to proceed with installation?

According to the warning message, this sentence means that the type of current drive is not GPT disk suggested, while Windows installation process recommend you install it at other GPT disk drive. Generally speaking, this message won’t influence
Windows installation.

The program won't load. "Error messqge 101". I just purchased the earlier version, Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 but I had to reformat my computer. I have the product key but the program is no longer available. Can I get the newer version? Is it possible to get the cd since I am having trouble with the download?

The key you posted is for Pro ( non-enterprise ) version.
Are you sure you have not installed the Enterprise version ?

Windows 10 Technical Preview 9926 product key doesn't work

I upgraded build 9926 for about one month and now it keeps asking me to activate. It was activated already when I installed it.
I‘ve tried the two product keys from another threads which are NKJFK-GPHP7-G8C3J-P6JXR-HQRJR and PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK.
Also tried to run command as administrator and type SLUI 3 anyway it's the same thing so...
The pro & Enterprise ones both not work for me. And it says I have to activate it before March 15th.

If you download the installation media from that link above, the activation key should be this one:

Normally, Windows 10 Technical Preview is activated automatically during installation. If you get a prompt for activation, I suggest you follow this steps:
