Windows 10 to be free upgrade for first year for users of Windows Technical Preview?

Hello, in article I have read that will upgrade to Windows 10 users for free Win 7 & 8.1. I want to ask how it will be with those who use a version of the technical prewiev. I will also have a free update?

What do you mean? You've already installed the Win 10 tech preview and you're wondering if it will automatically revert to the old software you were running some months ago after the trial period expires?

Your expired Win 10 preview will pop up an "expired" notice and become less usable. Assuming it works like all other trial periods of Windows, it will limit its functionality and start shutting itself down every few hours. If you
want to revert it, it will be up to you to reinstall the old version. And then can anyone guarantee that it will reactivate properly?
Beyond that, and to the original point of this thread, what the mechanics will actually be for upgrading to Win 10 after its release on a system that was originally properly licensed for an earlier version of Windows are still not clear. We'd like
to hope that a product code for a legitimate licensed copy of an older version would just work to install Windows 10 from a DVD (ISO), but no doubt it will be more complicated than that. It shouldn't be, but it almost certainly will be.

I've received the upgrade reservation notices on my personal Windows devices, but obviously not on our work devices, so how will it work in a corporate environment?

Free 3g after first year of purchase?

Can anybody help, I recently purchased an iphone 3gs and have unlimited 3g for 1 year. After the first year what will happen to the 3g connectivity? Will I have to pay or top up by a certain amount £10-£15 and still have unlimited 3g?

It depends on the carrier which is providing your iPhone service. Each carrier has a different kind of plan as long as they are the authorized reseller.
In most, you pay the unlimited data plan, voice plan, and optional text plan on a monthly cost. Some carrier plans are family voice and text saving more than one iPhone plan cost, and the data plan costs per iPhone.
I would check with the carrier for further details on your iPhone service.

Good book for first-time computer user?

I need to teach someone who has never used a computer how to use one. I have used computers all my life, so I don't know where to start. I thought I'd get a book. If it were Windows, I'm sure I could find a hundred books for a newbie. On a Mac, though, I'm not sure what exists out there, because most new Mac users have used Windows, whereas most new Windows users have never used a computer.
Does anyone know of a good book that teaches a first-time computer user how to use a Mac?

Budget effected for current year for changing a PO of last year

Dear Controlling firends,
I am a MM guy and facing the titled difficulty. The problem is ,suppose a Po had been created in last fiscal year and at that time budget for last year has been consumed as committed. But now when I am changing that particular PO ,even trying to reduce the PO Value than the original one ,it is observed that the revised value is being again showing as committed from this year, current budget. That means the system is treating this change in amount as a new PO of the current year. My FICO collegue is not able to figure out what is the wrong in such behaviour .
Will some one look into it aand find the solution as it is badly required to be solved without which everything is being messed up.

Are you on 11.1.1.x or 11.1.2.x?
If in 11.1.1.x then you can add asymmetric columns,

Does anyone know why the tutorials are now 30 minutes instead of an hour? When I purchased the program after buying my iMac it was $100 for 1 year for tutorials of 30 to 60 minutes???

I am very disappointed that the length of the tutorials offered at my Apple Store have been reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes! As for the $100.00 fee charged for the tutorials it has not been reduced to $50.00 This was an option offered to me for a year when I purchased my iMac.
Does anyone know why???

Upgrading to Windows 10 via Free Upgrade – After Action Review

100% Sad for first year on Capital Excise

            I hope all are very well, i have one issue please guide me or plese share your views
1.In case of Capital goods, as per excise rules cenvat credit of excise ( CVD ) 10% plus cess 3% can only be availed to the extent of 50% in current year. And in case of SAD 4% It can be availed full 100%. Presently while doing J1IEX ( cenvat availment ) system is taking 50% in all cases, even in SAD also.

Suggestions sought for first SSD for HD swap on W510

I have never installed an SSD but need to on my W510 so I can get another year or two out of it. Have the i7820QM 1.73 GHz model with 24GB installed. I clone all the partitions with Shadow Protect which seems fast. I was planning to use a Crucial 1TB MX200 drive though I think the laptop maxes out at SATA II anyway--seems like a reliable drive though, best I can tell. Perhaps even a 2nd SSD in a caddy in the optical drive bay if that will work. I rather like the Lenovo utilities etc if it is not too much trouble to keep them, though it seems to complicate the restore with extra partitions. I have never tried the included Rescure and restore to back up/clone. If that preserves the current architecture, perhaps that is the way to go. I can't afford to make a hash of this so I thoght to check here first. Any comments appreciated.

Thank you so much for commenting. I have about 450GB on the current HDD and I read rescue and recovery is slow as molasses with that much data. My hope was even though slow if I use R&R to my USB3 back up external HDD and put he SSD where the internal HDD is now , I can have a perfect clone of what I have now except the HDD replaced with the SSD including the Lenovo partitions. Perhaps that is wishful thinking. ShadowProtect to clone is rather fast and I have never tried R&R. Restoring might take forever as I read the recovery environment is limited to USB2 speeds externally. I had planned to put in a second SSD later but need to consider your suggested procedure.

Safari on the PC does render differently than IE, FF and
Opera. The
fonts are bolder, but thats all I have ever noticed. There
isn't
anything you can do about it.
I think most PC users with Safari only use it to test sites,
as most PC
users will use IE or FF. How does it look on a Mac?

Wrong Depreciation value for subsequent years for further acquisition

Hi All,
Need immediate help...I have a dep key with Unit of Produciton. The method being used is Usage/Remaining and the Base Value is 24 - Net Book Value.
I had posted an acq. on 01.01.2009...it depreciates perfectly as per my usage--say till period 5. Then another acq. was posted in july - and was consumed fully in Feb 2010..
Another acq. was posted in May, 2010...Now my dep for period Jan and Feb is getting reversed and Dep. on Base Value - Balance Carried forward and New Acq - is being calculated, although i had exhausted my balance in Feb itself.
I do not want to go by Sub Assets route...
Why is such a calculation being done???
