Hi
I have a this configuration:
K7T Pro (BIOS 3.6)
Athlon 1200
256 Ram pc 133
Geforce 3 ti200 detonator 40.71
hdd 20gb maxtor
Windows 2000 with SP3
directx 8.1
4in1 drivers
the problem is windows hangs and the 4 back leds turn all green on any application and more specially on games like quake 3, i want to know if its caused by some drivers? or do i need to install a patch for windows 2000 that fixes some AMD issues or mobo problems?
help would be apreciated

Sure you can Install a lv application manually. just copy the exe-file,
support files in a folder. For the runtimeengine just copy the file
lvrte.dll in the folder of your application or in the windows system folder.
Hope that helps, Niko

When I run the setup.exe file on a Windows 2000 system it installs properly, but the same file run on a XP Professional system I get an error stating Fatal Error: Installation ended prematurely because of an error.

    Cheers,

IIRC this file, sasl32.dll, should get installed onto %WINDIR%\system32 when you install DS5.2 windows version.
You may run WinZIP and File/Open "d52diu.zip" (DS5.2 zip image) and look for "nsbasesys.zip", double click to Open it and you should find "sasl32.dll" there.

  • Skype 6.20 Windows XP SP3 crashes at launch

I upgraded from Skype 6.old to 6.20 because I couldn't log in.  Now, whenever it starts it immediately pops up a crash "Skype has encountered a problem and needs to close.".
I have the latest updates for Windows XP SP3, no firewall, and AVG Free virus scanner that only complains about 'tracking' cookies.
I also tried installing skype 6.13, which I had floating on another computer, but that has the same crash as skype 6.20.
Curiously though, as long as I don't close the crash dialog, Skype appears to work normally and I can use every feature, including webcams.

Skype crashes on startup with a KERNEL32 error message.
If I not confirm the crash report, skype seems to go online, but if I try to send a call or a message it does not work.
I tried for several days: installation, remove, re-installion, clean all the file in "skype" folder, create a new user, reinstallation from the new user, reinstallation IE, reinstallation DirectX, etc.

  • IPod Touch: charging with Windows 2000 SP3?

    Hello,
I've got an iPod Touch 2nd generation, and I'm a mac user.
At work, I have a Windows 2000 PC, Service Pack 3. I wanted to use this windows machine to charge (with USB) my Touch, but it didn't work directly. So I tried to download iTunes, but it requires SP4 at least.
What can I do? The PC isn't able to give energy to the USB port, if the device isn't recognized?
    Thanks for any help
    Frederic

The following applies to XP and I assume Vista, but I am not sure if this option was in 2000 or not. But you can check...
Well one thing you can try it telling you computer to leave the USB ports on all the time. XP (and I assume Vista) has a power saving mode where the USB ports are powered down if they are not in use by the operating system. I think that is the default mode. This is more of a setting beneficial to Laptops, but if you have a desktop, you might want to disable to power saving modes.
Start -> Control Panels -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device manager
In the window that opens, expand (click on the sign) next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
You will see a number of things in that list. You want to RIGHT-Click on the "USB Root Hub" one. I am not sure if you have more than one if they still point to the same one, but open and change each to be sure. Anyway, right-click it, in the pop up menu pick Properties. In the next screen, pick the Power Management tab. There is a check box to "Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power". I think default is checked, so that the ports power down. You want to unselect that box forcing your USB ports to stay powered up all the time.

  • Cannot load windows 2000 (sp3) on pm8m2-v with single sata drive

I'm using a single WD 80GB SATA Drive (wd800jd) on the pm8m2-v mainboard's via sata controller.  I've gone through the hit F6 and selected the windows 2000 ata/atapi driver and the raid driver (both separately) and the OS install always says it finds no hard drive.  Then I tired both ata/atapi and raid driver for windows xp (even though i'm attempting a windows 2000 install) and it actually finds the drive, but after formatting and copying files, i get an inaccessible boot device failure when it reboots to begin setup.  i've downloaded most recent mobo drivers and bios (the bios on the web is actually older than the one on the board? - web has v1.1 and the board has v2.0)   ideas???

got it workin with the most recent xp driver from the site... strange

Cycle the power, when the boot message appears in the upper left corner, press and hold the "f" key.
That should cause a new image to be reloaded from the recovery partition (follow the prompts).

  • 3D Graph on Tab Crashes EXE on Windows XP SP3

    Hi all, Built EXE.
Can use all components within App except:
When I select page of Tab which contains 3D graph. Windows XP SP3 crashes every time.
Have tried reinstalling application and LV RTE.
Not sure what I can do about this..
    Thanks, Battler.

    Hello at all,
I have developed an executale application, that uses the cw3d graph. Since the customer uses a new PC (Windows XP SP3) the application crashes. An earlier version, which is not including the 3D Graph, works fine.
When the app crashes, an error occurs that indicates some problems with a "ig4icd32.dll" (google says it is a Intel graphics driver...). Maybe this can help you guys with solving the problem.
Please note that I won´t be able to post my VI due to confidentiality.
I´d be glad for any answers about this topic.

  • Memory usage in windows nt and windows 2000

My program is polling, visualizing and saving continuously sent data. When I use it under Windows NT(sp6), after some time the computer runs out of virtual memory. In the task manager I can see the memory usage increasing with time. But when I use it under windows 2000(sp3) and look at the task manager nothing important happens, the memory usage is quite constant. Does anyone have any idea about this situation? Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ogulcan

Assuming that your application isn't continuously reading into memory ever-increasing amounts of data, the thing to look for are references that you aren't closing when you are finished with them.

Everything works fine, except during the Windows 2000 splash screen, the blue bar gets to half way, then the computer hangs there for about a minute or two, then boots.
Everything seems to work fine and its fast.
I can't figure out why its hanging like this.
I've tried about every BIOS setting there is.  I've reloaded Windows 2 or 3 times.  Changed the video card (no other cards in system).  Turned off the built in LAN.
    Changed memory.
    Using:
    Windows 2000 SP3
    Maxtor 20G
    AthlonXP 2200
    2x256MB=512MB
    Any ideas?
I was gonna try installing Win2K with SP1.  Then update from there.

    Thanks

    Hi Som,
Netweaver CE is supported by following Windows series:
Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2) or Windows 2003 Server (Service Pack 1)
The version has also been tested successfully with Windows 2000 (SP3) and Windows XP (SP1), but is certified only for the two Windows versions above (Note: If you use a Windows XP account without a password , SAP Management Console can not start/stop your instance via Web Service - use system services instead)

  • Migrating application from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Pro SP3

I just got a new computer with Windows XP Pro SP3 installed and need an application that was installed on my old, really old, computer running Windows 2000. The application was developed by a third party in 1997 and uses Oracle as the database engine. It uses Developer 2000 for the interface. Our IT person, who is lightyears ahead of anyone I've ever known when it comes to hardware and software, could not get the application to run on my new computer. We get error FRM-40039 when we try to open the application. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I use this application intermittantly all day and right now the "solution" is for me to go to my old computer to use it. This would be like an editor trying to use a dictionary located in another room from which it could not be removed (and could not consult the internet).

FRM-40039 is a Forms error, and Forms doesnt use ODBC. You'll probably get better help posting in the forum appropriate for that product. Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly what the forum is :(

  • Adobe acrobat pro 9.2 crashes in windows xp sp3 when closing a pdf

Adobe acrobat pro 9.2 crashes in windows xp sp3 when I close a pdf. This means that if I have multiple files open, all of them close. I get an error message from windows that the problem is due to windows' Data Execution Prevention (DEP). I tried making Adobe an exception to windows' DEP and re-started the computer but this did not help the problem. Any ideas about how to fix this problem?

So.. If we want to control the "hardware graphics acceleration", should it be done inside the Adobe Acrobat Pro ?
If yes, which part of option should we changed ?
If not, can someone tell me which way to setting this one ?
Do anybody have other input ? This problem makes me crazy
Thank you so much in advanced.
