Windows 2008 R2: SLES 11 Sp3 Guest converted from Vmware OVA to VHD, does not boot on Hyper-V: could not find /dev/sda4

I have a VMWare OVA file with Guest OS as SLES 11 Sp3. I have converted this file from OVA to VHD using Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter Solution accelerator. On first boot of this VHD on Windows Server 2008 R2 - Microsoft Hyper-V I get an error that
"Waiting for device /dev/sda4 to appear..
Cannot find /dev/sda4"
I have not even booted this VM once on Hyper-V, and hence not installed any Linux integration Services yet.
What could be the possible reason for this failure? Any suggested solution?

Easiest way (and also applies to Hyper-V 2012 R2):
Ok, following properly (originally missed the step to mount the root directory of the converted VM as "/mnt" )

mkinitrd -d /dev/sda2
generated initrd from kdump WITH Hyper-V drivers & VM is usable!

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. If that doesn't help read on...

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

Problem Fixed:
Remove the song from your itunes library, then go to the itunes store and try to download it again. It will say something like "this song has already been purchased, would you like to download it again for free?". Click yes, and it will download again. This worked for me, hope it helped

Rentals can only play on one device/computer at a time. Have you tried to play on the computer and still have that window open?
Have you transferred the rental to iPod/iPhone or iPad to watch?

I cannot get help from Apple support because i am being asked to supply the serial number which is stored on the phone and I cannot restore my data in the first place. I am reluctant to "Set up as a new Iphone" since I don't know whether if I do I may not then be able to access my data from Itunes...
Please advise what to do. I did not see any tutorials on Youtube to help me with this.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

So I just bought two songs from Itunes...but they won't sync to my iphone and an error message keeps coming up. It just says "Itunes could not copy because the file could not be converted" I just paid money for the songs though...so I would really really like to get them on my phone...any suggestions??

I called Apple under my Mac support contract. They were completely unfamiliar with the error you and I were encountering. Updating to 10.8.5 didn't help.
I'm stopping my TimeCapsule while I perform these tasks, but I don't know yet if I have a consistent work-around.

Importing photos from CF card to lightroom. Results say files could not be imported as they could not be read.

Please help. I'm trying to import photos from my CF card and lightroom says "The following files could not be imported because they could not be read." Can someone explain a step by step way to import these photos please as I am not that proficient on such matters?!

So, I'm replying to myself I guess because I figured it out! Go to Import in lightroom, choose Destination which is bottom right corner, select applications and then select Adobe Photoshop CS5. I'm not sure why the lightroom application did not show up under applications, but I tried this and it worked. Also not sure if I clicked any other Adobe application it would have worked, but I don't plan to change anything unless someone tells me this is an issue.
This is most simplistic way for me to explain it and if I can understand it anyone can. This worked for me the first time, hopefully it will be that easy for you!

Hi- I have a new 5G ipod w/ video, and I have been unable to load anything on it. Actually, after several tries, I got a few podcasts loaded, but that was after many attempts.) I keep getting the error message +"Attempting to copy to "My ipod" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."+ I've done the 5R's (several times) but no luck. Is there anything else I can do or do I just have a bad disk? Thanks...

Installing the appropriate combo update may help...
If you are running v10..7 Lion, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
For 10.6 Snow Leopard > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
Then restart your Mac. Try the App Store.
If that doesn't help, try the following..
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go
Move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try downloading Mountain Lion.
You may also need to disable anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall
