now to the question
Ok so I will describe my problem as best as I can.
I have 2 Servers Both 2012 R2 Standard 1 is Primary Domain controller and one is the Secondary Domain controller. I had everything set up on the domain and the Primary Domain controller was set up as the DNS on ALL clients (Static).
Recently I set up the secondary domain controller with Essentials. All went well I added all the clients to connect with Essentials. a few days went by and now all of a sudden all the Static DNS's are all changed to the Essentials box.
This Really wouldn't be a problem to me except the performance level of that DNS is EXTREAMLY slow. I run to all clients and change the static back and everything works great. then a little while goes by and all DNS's are again to the Essentials box.
SO my question would be. Is there any way to configure the Essentials box to stop redirecting the DNS to itself and keep the Primary domain controller as the DNS

If this issue still exists, would you please let me confirm whether has also installed DNS server role on the
Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard (with Windows Server Essentials Experience role)?

I've installed Server 2012 R2 on a Hyper-V guest, and then installed the Essentials Role on it. I've setup the role, and can access the dashboard. However the client I have has only one static IP - and Exchange/IIS running on the Hyper-V host. So the normal
ports for Access Anywhere won't work. I'd like to have the Access Anywhere respond on a different port - say 9999 for example. Then I can configure port forwarding on the router to pass it through, and have it working correctly as an SBS replacement. I messed
around with the bindings in IIS, but that didn't really solve the problem. I thought that would be it - but I suppose it's possible the service isn't meant to run on another port?
Has anyone had any luck in changing Access Anywhere to respond on a different port?

Trouble Installing Windows 2012 R2 (Windows can't be installed on this drive)

If you deleted all partitions (don't try formatting), you should have been presented with a volume with no partitions during the installation procedure. You should be able to proceed at that point and Windows will initialize, partition, and format
the disk according to its needs.
If the disk is being shown to you but it still won't accept it for installation (it would be really helpful to get the exact message you are receiving), that is a little strange. Possibly it requires a different driver. At the screen that presents
the volume to use for installation, there is also an option to load a driver. (I have to do this all the time because I am regularly using drivers that are not on the Microsoft installation media). You have to have access to the driver in order
to be able to load it. If the driver is on a CD, you remove the Windows DVD, insert the driver CD, browse to the location of the driver and install it, remove the driver CD, insert the Windows DVD, click refresh on the window, and you should be able
to proceed, if the problem was a driver problem.
The only other time I have had a situation like yours is when I have improperly zoned/masked a LUN from a SAN, but it sounds like you are dealing with local storage, so that most likely will not come into play.
Is this the only hard drive on the system?

Windows 2012 Server Windows Update

Hi all,
I have Windows 2012 Servers that take a long time to do windows update.
All servers are not connected to the internet and I have a WSUS servers where are the 2012 servers are connected to.
Whenever I click on Windows update. The server will sort of HANGED. Open up the windows update log and found it's trying to get the update from the internet world.

I leave the W2012 Server for a while and about 15-20 mins. It will find my WSUS and get the updates accordingly..
I am using the same policy WSUS setting on the rest of my servers and do not encounter such issue.
Anyone know what is wrong or how can I stop the server from trying to get the update from the internet?

I don't see anything in this log snippet where this client attempted to talk to a WSUS server.
I do see where its' trying to use Microsoft Update to selfupdate, and encountering a TIMEOUT -- as it should if it doesn't have a valid Internet connection.

Windows 2012 to Windows 2012 R2 Inplace with Sharepoint Foundation 2010 SP2 (4.0.7116.5000)

I found than Inplace update from 2012 to 2012 R2 are supported. I also found 2012 R2 will support SharePoint Foudation 2010 with SP2 (4.0.7116.5000).
But I cannot find if we perform an Inplace update from a Windows 2012 Server running SharePoint 2010 (Sp2) to R2 will be successful.
As anyone done that?

Hi ,
On Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft supports only the SharePoint Server 2010 SP2 slipstream media configuration and not the RTM version of that configuration. For full SharePoint functionality and support, you must have the February 2014 cumulative update
(CU) or a later CU installed.
Additionally, only a new SharePoint Server 2010 SP2 slipstream installation that has the February 2014 CU or a later CU installed is supported on Windows Server 2012 R2. Microsoft
does not support a Windows in-place upgrade for this scenario.
For your scenario, I suggest you create a new SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SP2 on Windows Server 2012 R2, then migrate the content to new SharePoint 2010.

6500 slide: how to keep the change of "My Shortcut...

I followed the user guide step by step to personalize "Setting->My shortcuts->...."
However, if I switch the phone off and on again, the personal shortcuts I set will be changed back automatically as the original default setting. For example, the "left selection key" will always be "go to" function and the "right selection key" will become "O2" which is the network I'm using now.
How can I keep those changes I have made?

I have a PC with Windows 7 Professional and Adobe Reader. Adobe keeps auto changing all dates in a PDF. HELP!!

I am trying to complete an interactive PDF for an insurance company. The form has several dates that need to be completed, like my DOB, date of training and date of current medical certificate. If I enter data in one of the date fields, it automatically changes all the dates. Obviously, these dates are all different, but it will not allow me to make them different. This is also happening for the address fields. I need to be able to input my personal address and the address where I completed my training. I have already went to: Edit- Preferences- Form and unchecked the "automatically calculate field values" box, and turned "auto complete" off. Still automatically changing all similar fields with same data!! Please help!!

It's happening because the creator of the form did a terrible job at it and just copy&pasted the fields, which means they are identical copies of one another. You can't do anything to prevent that from happening. Report the issue to the insurance company. They need to sort it out on their end.

Safari how to keep from taking whole screen

I've been using Safari without a problem and now it started to take over my whole screen. How can I get back my Safari menus as the default setting -- I know I can get it at the top left corner. How can I make Safari not take over the whole screen??

Move the mouse pointer to the bottom right corner of the window.
When directional double arrow appears drag it inwards.
The Safari window will become smaller. Adjust the window to fit the need.
Toolbars will be visible now.

How to keep from losing connection to firefox and reentering user name and password when I close a message in my e-mail that I have read

I use firefox for e-mail and am unsure how to close a message without losing the connection to firefox. Then I need to go through the tedious task of entering my username and password everytime I am finished reading the message and close it. You could always get a Gmail account(free), set that up as IMAP or Exchange, then forward all of the mail from your POP account to your Gmail account.

Qty in PO changable after GR and IR? How to block from changes?

Hi All,
After a the PO qty is fully received and fully invoiced, how come the system lets me change the PO qty afterwards and a Message (email) is processed and sent (with Changes to qty) to the vendor?
Is there a config that will block the PO qty being changed after the PO qty is fully received and fully invoiced?
What about a PO for Indirect procurement (without Material Master) for office supplies? Since there's is NO goods receipt, can the PO qty be blocked for changes after the PO is fully invoiced?
How to achieve the block to changes to PO qty/prices...etc after GR and/or IR?

You can grey out the quantity field and u can ask the users to have a PR mandatory and the Qty can flow from PR.
OR
You can define a Release stratergy that once the PO is released you cannot change the PO at any cost. this is controlled with the help of the indicators defined in the release stratergy.

Do you know how to keep from getting missing pixels?

Dear fellow Photoshop Beginners,
I am having an issue making a texture for a school project. Everytime I duplicate a layer and then "ctrl + T" to align the texture, I end up getting missing pixels along the edges of the duplicates even after I merge the layers. The original image is on the left and the duplicates are snapped to the right to create an elongated texture. I am using CS6. Do you know how to duplicate a layer without missing pixels on the edge?

Hmm, I tried it myself and at 25% view I did see a line between the original and the duplicate:
However, zooming in to 100% there was no border between the images, and looking at the individual pixels (600%) showed that there were no missing pixels.
I'm wondering, what is the final purpose for this pattern, and what is the final file format? What happens when you view your image at 100%?

How to keep from linking

There are 3 devices, my husband, me and my son. I cannot be linked to my husband with ICloud because his is a work phone. When I first set up my ITunes years ago we together put his e-mail etc..The guy at the AT&T store said when we all got new IPhones a few months ago told my husband don't open up an app or download an app yet until your wife gets it seperated or all of you will be linked. Well now he has got to download an app for work. So time has run out. Your personal data is stored in contacts, notes, calendars etc. You can each have your own iCloud account so that this data is private, but you can also choose to continue to share the iTunes account so that you share your music and app purchases.
Messages is another separate account as is FaceTime, once again you can each have your own ID for these services for privacy.

How to keep layout changes in other pages

I am just starting with iWeb and came across a question. When I choose a theme for a website and make the 'welcome' page, but change some layout things, colours, positioning of textboxes, is it than possible to copy those changes in the other pages like 'about' and so? Or do I have to copy the first page over and over? In the least case I will have a problem with the albums and slide show I guess?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iWeb doesn't have the capability of carrying over layout changes from the first page to additional pages. If you plan on using the same theme frequently create a second site, add each page type that you might use, make the layout changes to each one and save. Then if you need a photo page in your working site duplicate the photo page in the "layout" site and drag it up to the working site.
