Windows 7 64-bit HotSync almost works
I downloaded the drivers from Aceeca, but when I Hotsynch using the USB cable, everything on my Palm TX synchonizes with the Palm Desktop EXCEPT the datebook/calendar. As this is the most important thin I want to synchronize, I wonder if anyone else has had the problem. The Hotsync simply hangs when it gets to Datebook, and I have to cancel. I then tried synching everything except the Datebook, and it worked fine: and then tried Datebook on its own, and again it hangs.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions: I'd like to be able to get 5 years of information out of the TX and onto the Desktop, and I've had even more trouble trying to do it by Bluetooth.

Applescript to open URL in Safari without titlebar...almost working :-)
Hi guys,
I'm trying to open an URL in Safari with applescript, and i don't want any toolbar in the opened window, actually this code almost works but it open 2 windows as the javascript is executed from document 1
I use Javascript because i dont want to have any modifications of Safari preferences, so when i close it and reopen it should not have the toolbar hidden.

The above script opens a new window with the current document's url and then closes the original window. As far as I've read you cannot get JavaScript to act upon the current window.

Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
Rebooting phone/laptop/router
Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
Re-installing iTunes
Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

I tried to install iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows (64 bit) and it says "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-42404). I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling and it still does not work. I then restored my computer to a week ago and tried to download and install the update and this came up again.

After Windows update in april 2014 I cant any longer use the scanning funktion via network from Canon MF8330 Cdn multifunktion printer/fax/scanner machine! It worked fine Before the april Windows update installation.
I have reinstalled with Canons driver kit 2005b för Windows 7 64 bit. All works fine until the scanner installation ends, then system report that it cannot install the scanner and I have to try installing again. I have done that now several times but it helps not. I Think it has something to do with that the Canon scanner drivers isn´t 64 bit files, or the problem is that windows update has replaces saome dll file to a never version that not work with Canon drivers.
I have seen that there is a service pack 1 from Canon för Windows 8 and 8,1, can I use that service pack to get a never dll file for scanner or work this only for windows 8 version.
Have someone a solution to this! I have contacted the Canon support already and they say that its a Microsoft problem!

Hi!
I am installing the drivers from Canons site. It is the newest version 2005b for Windows 7 64 bit to MF8330Cdn Canon multifunction printer/fax/scanner. Installation goes well for the printer and fax but not for scanner drivers. The error message is Could not install the scanner. In device manager is there then a unknown device under Image devices. In Device Manager I try to update drivers, but it does not help either, error message is access denied. I am logged on the system with administrator account, therfore it is strange that I get the error message access denied.
I tried earlier to do system restore back to previous time, but it did not work, error was that the system could not do the system restore because of access rights.
is there anything else I could do.
Here is the MF36SCN.inf file for scanner installation from Canon, if it can help You to go further with the problem. Is there something strange in the inf file that does not work in Windows 7 64 bit Windows, something shows that ther is also same 32 bits parts in the inf file.

SixtenHow I fixed it, at least for now:
1. I've been using OC Genie for a few days, it has been working great on Windows but I guess it was causing many games to crash to the desktop so I decided to turn it off, since then the memory issue started to happen, since this morning.
2. I can only think of my computer got OC Genie addicted, like addiction to crack or cocaine, and the memory, or call it nervous system, wanted more OC Genie, so it gave it to him and bingo, my 4GB readable, but then I used of trickery and deceit to disable OC Genie again and my 4GB is back again without OC Genie.

Crysis Warhead 64-bit Won't Work with Windows 7 64-bit Under Boot Camp
Hi. I installed the patch 1.1 for Crysis Warhead which has the 64-bit version of the game which I'm running under Windows 7 64-bit on Boot Camp and I've tried the the compatibility mode (Vista to Vista SP2). I've also updated the ATI drivers as well as the Boot Camp drivers. I'm using the latest Snow Leopard.
When I click on the game's application (64-bit version), it would launch then it goes black with just the mouse cursor (you can move it about) which seems to be in low resolution and I guess it would crash so I would push the button on this late iMac 2009 and Windows would go back to the desktop then shutdown.
Has anyone made Crysis Warhead 64-bit work with Boot Camp Win7 64-bit with this iMac (it has the ATI 4850)? Is this because it's Boot Camp or that it's Windows 64-bit or is it the ATI graphics chip? Thank you in advance. Gbu.
Message was edited by: Alvin777since bootcamp allows windows to run natively, it's not an imac issue, but rather an issue with your windows, so you probably get better answers in a windows forum or the crysis forums.
in any case, installing newer ATI drivers (ati.com) might help, but it's just a wild guess -

It says it has successfully downloaded and installed, but when I try to connect my new iPhone 6 to iTunes i get an error message 'need to install new software' but i thought i had! Please help me as i have had to connect my phone to someone else's mac and therefor don't have my music etc on my phone HELP! I have had IT support at work trying to figure it out and no one can!

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Lightroom suddenly stopped while I was working in it. I got the Windows message "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64 bit has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. I have tried re-booting as well as reinstalling Lightroom 5.7 but whenever I try to start the program I get the same message.
Is that really the exact message you are receiving?

using Windows 7. Just recently statredf using a new SSD as C: Drive for OS and Apps. I still have OS and all apps on my old C drive but that copy of LR 5.6 bombs too. I had also moved all image files to a different external drive and created a new catalog.Is that really the exact message you are receiving?

iTunes 11.0.1.12 and Windows 7 (32 bit, latest version). iTunes crashes frequently (Windows message : "iTunes has stopped working and will be closed"). I may be trying to search for an App. or book (or anything else), trying to access iTunes store, checking for updates to Apps., inputting my password, etc. etc. I have uninstalled iTunes several times, reinstalled several times, but the error persists. I tried the iTunes 10 suggested fix of running in safe mode, but iTunes again crashed when I was trying to create a new ID.
Any real help would be gratefully received. Thank you.Still having this issue

Outlook 2010 - 64 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, doesn't work ?
I am using Photoshop Element 8 with Windows 7 English Versuin 64 bit, I installed in the past Office 2007 32 bit and Office 2010 32 bit, with office 2007 32 bit every thing works well, I am talking about sending email through Outlook, I don't remembre if I tried to send emails with Outlook 2010 32 bit, but at the moment I am workin with Office 2010 64 bit and I choose in the E-Mail Settings - the E-Mail Client the Microsoft Outlook, The Microsoft OUtlook is my default email client, but !!! when I try to send pictures from the Photoshop Elements I get an error that I have to choose the Outlook as the DEFAULT EMAIL CLIENT. so I am using now the Adobe E-Mail Service.
Is this a BUG ? Can I fix this problem ?

Can you try setting the outlook as Default email client. Here are the steps to achieve this -
Start Internet Explorer.
Select Tools | Internet Options from the menu.
Go to the Programs tab.
Make sure Microsoft Office Outlook or Microsoft Outlook is selected under E-mail.
Click OK.
Now please see if you face any issue using Outlook in PSE.

Agentry 6.0.32 client: does it work on Windows 64-bit?
Hi Folks - We use Work Manager 5.3 with Agentry 6.0.32 server and client. We generally use Panasonic Toughbook mobile devices that are 32-bit Windows 7. But recently a couple of 64-bit PCs have been added.
Does anyone know if the 6.0.32 Agentry win32 client works on Windows 64-bit? If so are any additional steps needed to make it work?
We have been using the client install found in this zipfile from SAP SMP: 51046915_1.zip

The Agentry 6.0.x clients run just fine on Windows 64-bit. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit and have used all the Windows clients (Agentry 6.0.x, SMP 2.3/Agentry 6.1 win32 and WPF and SMP 3.0 Win32 and WPF clients) on my laptop without any issues.
No additional steps are needed to get this to work.

Lightroom 5.6 would not open. I only get a flash picture then I get an error message. See below message: [Window Title] Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit [Main Instruction] Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit does not work more [Content] there was a problem making the program no longer work properly. The program is closed and there is a notification if a solution is available.

I changed the setting in the view menu and now everything appears to be working fine. I cannot explain why it stopped working before because I hadn't made any previous changes to the view options.

Nvidia C2070 in windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, does it work

I am getting some new software that has to run on a windows 64 bit platform using the nvidia c2070 graphics card. (The program is compiled to use this card for massive speedups). I can either buy a desktop that runs windows to do this, or buy a mac pro, we would have other uses for the mac pro so I want to figure out if this video card will work on a mac pro, booted as windows7 64 bit.
Does anyone have any advice....or knowledge.Mac Pro
I dont know that card, and Nvidia Quadro 4000 (maybe compare specs) is the only CUDA GPGPU Apple sells ($750 extra) other than ATI 5870 or 5770 presently. I doubt you can boot with C2070 and its 6GB VRAM into Mac OS.
With a PC you can custom configure to your needs. A Mac much less so. And while you can run MP as Windows only, and for a dual Xeon that isn't all bad, big limitation is in graphics.
You don't have access to the PSU, the PCIe aux power comes from Apple's connector on the logicboard. There are two 6-pin power connectors avalable.One 8-pin means you would need 6-pin to 8-pin adapter too. And $2500 is a lot to invest - sounds like a no to me.
