Windows 7 64 bit not monitoring on UCCX 7.0(2)

Hi,
I upgraded a 7.0(1) system to 7.0(2) to get support for Windows 7 and CSD is still not able to monitor agent calls who are on Windows 7 64 bit OS versions. The 7.02 release notes document states WIndows 7 is supported and WoW64 but doesn't mention anything about any limitations that I can see. I've ran postinstall, etc and everything checks out.
In this document, it states Windows 7 / WOW64 suppoort for 7.0(2) but has note for 8-0 that montoring is not supported for WOW64 just for 8.0.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6789/ps7046/ps7282/product_bulletin_c25-563280_ps427_Products_Bulletin.html
So is there a special way to install CAD / CSD as WOW64 on Windows 7 64 bit, or is there something else going on preventing the monitoring not working for windows 7 agents?  The supervisors can monitor Windows XP agents just fine, except for one agent which we're working on the agents PC to see whats going on.

There is no special way to install CAD, it is just a msi file. On both my Windows 7 professional machines it installed fine. I have remote access to a couple of the customers machines so I have tried uninstall/re-install. I did not want to patch the registry in case I BSOD their machine. If I was on site I would have a go.
The customer has around 180 machines running Windows 7 ultimate and none of them have installed the correct packet driver.
The install program must detect if this is a 64 bit OS and install the 64 bit driver, or in some cases maybe not.
If your machines have installed the correct driver there is a test program. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Desktop\bin.
Make a call from the agents phone, internal is OK and then run NICQ.exe its output is written to a file called NICQ_Output.txt

  • Photoshop window does not display unless connected to external monitor

I use a MBP connected it to an Apple Cinema Display used as an external monitor (not a dual display) when in my studio.
When I use Adobe Photoshop CS 5 without the monitor the image window does not display on the MBP. If I plug the external monitor in, the window is displayed correctly on the MBP. Photoshop is opening and "displaying" the image window offscreen. Nothing gets it back onscreen, except plugging in the external monitor.
I often use Photoshop away from my studio so this is a big problem. PShop is essentially unusable unless connected to an external monitor.
    Is this a known issue?
    Any workarounds?
    Any ideas?
There is a previous discussion on this topic from January 2012, but it remains open and unanswered. Hoping there are some new ideas. Thanks for the help.

The MacOS still thinks the second display is available and valid -- so Photoshop puts the documents on the last used display and the OS doesn't give any errors.
Once the OS notices the change in display configuration, Photoshop should go back to the main display and force images and dialogs back to the main display.
Applications rely on the OS for the display configuration, and sometimes the OS gets confused or holds onto outdated configurations a bit too long...

  • Macbook Pro & Mini Dispalyport Does NOT Support 10 bit Color Monitors

I am extremely concerned regarding Apple's Mini Displayport. Mini Displayport has been out for a year now, and is the video out port with the maximum signal output on Macbook Pro's. Apple's Mini Displayport still does not offer the compatibility and performance, that is possible with the standard Displayport implantation on Windows.
Case in point two monitors from NEC and Eizo, the NEC PA214W and the Eizo CG223W:
    http://www.eizo.com/global/products/coloredge/cg223w/index.html
    http://www.necdisplay.com/Products/Product/?product=5a6621b9-e9c4-4f02-8542-e625 1364bf7c
All current Macbook Pro's with Mini Displayport are unable to support the 10 bit color that these monitors are capable of. This is unacceptable, and an example of Apple leading customers to believe that Mini Displayport, offers the same capabillities and performance as Displayport.
It is my understanding that on paper MBP's with the NVidia 9400/9600 are capable of outputting a 10 bit signal. They just do not at this point in time, unlike all PC notebooks with Displayport. Mini Displayport has been sold by Apple as being every bit as capable only smaller than Displayport. The truth is it is not.
Apple notebooks can not currently produce the same level of quality on these monitors as Windows notebooks with Displayport that have also been on the market for a year now.
    http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/newsarchive/19.htm#10-bitips

    Displayport:
    http://www.displayport.org/consumer/
    http://www.displayport.org/consumer/?q=content/faq
"Performance for a display interface is really bandwidth. So Displayport offers up to 10.8 Gigabits per second. That bandwidth can be allocated for greater color depth (more colors per pixel, i.e.. 30 bit color monitors), it can be allocated to resolution, i.e.. WQXGA , or refresh rate."
Note: The bandwidth has increased to 21.6 Gbps with the announcement of Displayport v1.2.
It appears to me that aside from the top of the line (Windows PC) notebooks, that the only systems that will currently be able to achieve 30 bit color with these monitors are going to be desktop systems with Displayport/Mini Displayport and the necessary GPU and Operating System. This is an example of the difficulty in getting accurate information when it comes to what a system can and can not do. Rod correctly pointed out that I was mistaken in saying that "all" PC notebooks with Displayport are capable of achieving 10 bit per channel output, some do not. As BSteely, Lewis, and Rod have discussed Mini Displayport is not what is responsible for the fact that Macbook Pros can not currently output 10 bit per channel signal. Displayport exists and allows for this capability, and I stand by my opinion that currently Macbook Pros with Mini Displayport do not implement the full Displayport spec, in particular the ability to output 10 bit per channel signal to 30 bit color monitors. On the PC side it is the "workstation" class notebooks that have had and continue to have this capability. There may be others, but in reviewing Dell, HP, and Lenovo I am only finding it in the Precision, W series, and Elitebook models. The latest T Series Thinkpads with Quadro GPU's may work as well. At this point, I am not going to research each and every model to determine exactly which notebook models and configurations will work, except to say none of them are Macbook Pros. The lesson here should be get multiple confirmations regarding your system's configuration and your intentions in its use. I was mistaken in my understanding that the MBP 17 with Mini Displayport would support the Displayport spec as it relates to 30 bit color monitors. I have stated what I think is wrong about that, but that is the way it is for now. Apple is not the only company to hype a technology, only to offer a limited implementation of it. "Vista Capable" comes to mind.

This post will hopefully alert others to this limitation. To end on a positive note, in my experience the last six months with my Macbook Pro, Apple has demonstrated it can resolve issues quickly and effectively, and I have been extremely pleased to the extent that they have worked with me to address the few significant issues that have come up, including a system replacement in quick order. This may or may not be something they will be able to address with the current Macbook Pros or even the next generation. We will see.

  • ITunes 9.2.1, iPhone 4, Windows 7 64 bit not working together

I was able to connect my iphone 4 to itunes about a week ago. Then all of a sudden my iphone was not recognized in iTunes. I didn't get any error messages. I then upgraded to iTunes 9.2.1 on Friday in hopes that it would help. Unfortunately iTunes now takes >10 min to start, then after plugging in my phone, iTunes stops responding. Every once in awhile it will come back and I get the message "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800006B)". Although Win7 recognizes the phone as it pops up the auto play message and i can go to explorer and see it as a device. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Confirmed it is the iTunes 64 bit version even though it looks like a lot of the processes are running in *32 mode. I have tried the what some of the support pages have indicated. I can't get anything to work. If anyone else has some other suggestions i would love to hear them.

The EXACT same thing is happening to me. My phone is brand new, so the fact that I can't activate it due to this problem is really frustrating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times, followed apple's instructions in its problem solvers guide...nothing seems to work. I've messed around with the drivers a bit too, with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
Go to the Event Viewer (Control Panel || Administrative Tools || Event Viewer) and look under Windows Logs || Application. Do you see any Bonjour errors? Since Windows 7 recognizes the camera part of the iPhone (nicely done Win7 integration!) Microsoft is probably not the culprit here.
Uninstall/reinstall iTunes is part of the process, but you also have to make sure you uninstall all the other components Apple installs (Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour for Windows, QuickTime), do a reboot, and then install everything from scratch. That may fix the problem.
This is exactly what an Apple guy talked me through over the phone. (I think I even uninstalled Apple Software Updater) I had a similar problem with the iPad on Win7 x64 - it was Bonjour that is the culprit. The x64 flavor of Bonjour for Windows is not as stable as the 32-bit version.
But everything has been golden for me since the reinstall...
    Give that a try.
Then if not, you could start looking to see if there is another ZeroConf/SSDP provider that is conflicting with Apple's somehow.

    Hi Tamekia,
I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.
Level-three uninstall, and register the Windows Installer Service

  • Windows 8 64-bit not working on iTunes

Every time I try to update my iTunes it fully downloads but when I try to install it says that its not compatible with my computer. I have Windows 8 64-bit and I download the 64-bit Windows version. Does anybody know why it doesn't work?

You might try a manual install/repair.
The instructions below I've done with Windows 7 64 bit. (not sure what will happen with Windows 8 but we may learn more)
After downloading the latest version of iTunes from Apple, extract the files in “iTunes64Setup.exe”
(If you have never done this, you may need to download a program such as WinRAR [64 bit].)
Manually run each install file in the following order.
    AppleApplicationSupport.msi
    Bonjour64.msi
    AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi
    AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi
    iTunes64.msi
If there are any errors, stop, and write back with the results.

  • Synaptics touchpad on HP Mini 110 Windows 7 32 Bit - not working for one user - working for another

    Hi,
I recently have an issue with Synaptics touchpad on HP Mini 110 Windows 7 32 Bit - NOT working for one user - working for another.
Windows 7 updates recently installed ???
By checking the device properties on the user that works - "Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad 13/10/2011 Version 15.3.29.0"
When the other user logs on, the touchpad works for a few seconds, then a displays a black square with a red diagonal line through it, then the touchpad won't respond. Trying to use the keypad to navigate to system diagnosics or anything to find further info is useless....

    Hey eagle_no11,
Thank you for joining the HP Support Community!
I will do my best in assisting to hopefully get the TouchPad to work on the second user profile.
What I would like to start off with, is to restore the original Synaptics drivers onto the profile that is not working correctly. I have included the document Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7).
Once you have installed the original drivers, you will need to complete all updates from both HP, as well as Windows. For these updates, if you open the HP Support Assistant, and select Maintain, you should see an option for updating.
Please let me know how these steps do work out for you.
    Have a great day!

  • Home Sharing Windows 8 64 Bit - Not working

Home Sharing on itune 11.0.2 stopped working. I enabled Home Sharing  and I don't see shared Folder on iTunes.
    Os : Windows 8 64-bit
    ANy thoughts.
    TIA

My MacBookAir is successfully running Windows 7 Home, 64 bit but Windows is not seeing key hardware i.e. network, sound and
camera. I have followed the Apple directions "installing Windows 7 drivers" and Windows is still not seeing hardware. Any Help would

Yes, I had MBA burn Apple's Window support software to a DVD. In Windows I am getting "Hardware not found" and during another attempt (using windows's update driver) "driver not found".

  • Windows Operating System "Not Monitored"

Hi, I have seen multiple posts regarding this, and I have tried many things without luck. I thought I'd contribute what helped me. Funnily, I actually fixed the problem while posting my question. But I thought this may be useful to anyone else with the same
    issue.
    We have SCOM 2012 7.0.8560.0
We have the Windows Server Operating System MP installed, 6.0.7061.0
3 servers are reporting that the Windows Operating System is "Not Monitored".
The 3 servers which are not being monitored all appear to be Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system.
    What we've tried
Uninstall SCOM agent from the SCOM console. Remove SCOM agent folder. Reboot. Reinstall SCOM Agent from SCOM Console (push install). install completes successfully.
    Enable Proxy Discovery
    Reboot SCOM Servers
Ensured the SCOM service account has Admin rights on the server
    Disabled Windows Firewall
Set User Account Control to minimum
Verified DNS (DNS functions 100% in our environment, with scavenging every 7 days)
SCOM Database Grooming runs every 7 days
The problem has existed for weeks\months, so this is not a DNS or Database grooming issue (unless there is something lingering in the database?)
Re-Ran the "download SCOM Management Packs" from the console - all MP's are up to date
After reading through the release notes of the Windows Server Management Pack, I searched my discovery rules to perhaps see if we had disabled the Server 2012 discoveries, or something careless like that. To my amazement,
there we NO Windows Server 2012 R2 Discoveries present in our environment! This confused me greatly, since we are running the latest version of the Windows Server management pack.
For some reason, it appears that updating your MP's from the console wizard does not pull this down.
    After manually downloading
the Windows Server Operating System management pack, and installing it manually, everything started to work.
I'm not sure why the SCOM wizard doesn't do this, but this has kept me busy for days, for something so easily missed.
I suggest MS enhances the SCOM "update MP" downloads to pull down an entire management pack if it says it was "imported successfully". I now wonder what else I think it "up to date", which may have rules missing without
    my knowledge.
    Cheers

    Hi,
It is really nice of you to share this, this will help others who encounter the same issue.
And as far as I know, we need to manually download the Windows opearting system management pack to management group, then we can monitor windows operating system:
