Windows 7 64-bit on A88X-G43 and have no sound
I just replaced my dead Motherboard with an MSI A88X-G43, with an AMD A10-6800K and 2 4GB sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws X Series RAM.
Main Board: A88X-G43
Bios Version: E7793AMS V3.3
Video Card: On-board video
PSU: Corsair VX450W
12v rail Rating of listed PSU:
CPU: AMD A10-6800K
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2133 (PC3 17000)
SSD/ HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST3120026A
CPU COOLER: Stock

Any Additional hardware plugged into your system: None
OC: (Yes / No) NO
Operating System: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
1. Installed The Win7 Pro 64-bit OS
2. Installed MSI board drivers ("Total Installer")
3. Rebooted & got no Windows Startup "Song"
4. Played some mp3 files - nothing
5. Went to Investors.com (IBD site) and clicked on the Market Wrap video, which started playing, but there was no audio.
6. Checked Device Manager and everything looks good - no ! next to any devices, giving NO indication that there is a problem - just no sound.
7. Did lots of online searches and reading and found issues with the Realtek HD drivers and the KB888111xpsp2 update.
8. Under Sound, video and game controllers, in Device Manager, Uninstalled AMD High Definition Audio Device & Realtek High Definition Audio.
9. Rebooted and the system found the drivers and reinstalled them. Still no sound.
10. Put in a Technical Support Service Request with MSI. Below is my exchange with them:
End User 02/27/2014 I installed Windows 7 64-bit, installed the driver by clicking on the x icon. Things are working well, except my sound. I am getting NO sound from the headphone/speaker audio connection. I have connected known good speakers and known good headphones and am getting NO audio. I re-installed the Realtech HD audio driver and I still have NO sound. Please advise. Thanks you.
MSI Tech. 02/27/2014 It has everything to do with windows sp3. There is a glitch where you cant install windows hotfix kb888111 because sp3 thinks its newer then the hotfix. all you have to do is manually extract the .inf file from the KB888111XPSP2.exe file and load it for the questioned pci device. it will then detect the realtek hd audio device and you can then install the drivers.
11. I have extracted the 2 files in KB888111XPSP2.exe and placed them in a folder on my PC. However, since I have no problems showing in Device Manager and the Audio Drivers installed without any problems, I am stumped.
A little background: I am an Electrical Engineer by school and currently write embedded Software & Firmware, and often troubleshoot hardware problems. I have put many PCs together, so this is not my first rodeo. However, this problem has stumped me!
Please give me some detailed info on how to get my sound working completely.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.
If it won't let you change the permissions use the Owner tab to take ownneship from an account with administror privileges.

also i have a parallels desk top with version 10.
if i run my windows without parallels my windows and my office is activated ,but if i run my parallels then my windows and my office can not be activated .
My problem is activating my windows and office through parallels desktop .
i had installed windows an parallel desktop several times ,also i installed several times parallel tools with menu bar in parallels desk top and when i am installing parallels desktop tools in any way i can see the (CTRL+ALT )
all of my application in windows works properly through parallels desktop except
activation of office and windows .
I do not no any solution for my problem , i need for helps .thanksIt is not W10, it is the Technical Preview version of W10.

A88X-G43 and Hybrid Crossfire Help
Hi All
Just got my hands on a new Mobo A88X-G43 and i am struggling with setting up of Hybrid Crossfire. This is the first PC build for nearly 10 years so im alittle behind the times so lol
CPU - AMD A10-5800k Black edition
Gfx Card - Asus 6670HD 2GB
Ram - 4gb Kingston DDR3 - 1333 (currently) but i am upgrading this shortly
A friend of mine who runs a Gigabyte board and the same set up plugged it all it and it worked no problems.
I have installed CCC and the option to crossfire isnt there however it does recognize both the APU and the card.
I have googled and cant find any help so thought id come here.
Can anyone help with this please

Leytonit may be your BIOS configuration is stopping it being available!
go into your BIOS by pressing delete when you start your computer
go into Settings
go to advanced
go to Integrated Graphics Configuration
set your Primary display Adapter to PEG
set Dual Graphics to enable
save the setting and exit
now go into the AMD vision or Catylist and go to the Gaming section and in there go to Dual Graphics and enable it and it should set up the Hybrid Crossfire! then when you start a game it should use both the dedicated and IGPU in hybrid crossfire if supported! -
Is it possible to play my guitar and have the sound changed to different instrument like a sax? Have my Mac act as an emulator. I'm a guitar player, not a sax player, but I want a sax solo in my song.
You'd need a midi guitar for that. GarageBand does not create midi from audio. Use a different application, like Finale to create a midi file from your Guitar audio file.
Or play the sax track using a midi keyboard or simply GarageBand's musical typing. You can use the track editor to add expression and articulation afterwards. -
I have just finished the upgradation to an iOS 6.1.3 and have lost sound in Music and Videos. I am using an iPhone 4S. My iPhone doesn't produce sound when playing Youtube or local camera videos. However ringtones and notifications sound works fine.It is quite strange as well. Have you encountered this issue before?If yes then what's the solution?

if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

I installed windows ultimate 64 bit, Tried to install firefox for my default browser. Internet explorer loads everything like normal, no problem but firefox will not load or does after 5 mins +
I checked my firewall windows provides and Avira to see if they were blocking, Found nothing of anything being blocked.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have had Windows 7 64 bit for the past year and have run Firefox with no problem. It was the most problem free of the three browsers including IE and Chrome.
I have a Vista side where I run my online backup and did so yesterday. Went on Firefox. No Problem.
Today I booted into the Windows 7 side. Seemed to boot up okay. Until I opened Firefox. Suddenly, my whole computer crashed, windows shut down and that bluescreen popped up. I restarted normally. Same thing. I restarted in safe-mode. Couldn't find any problems. Went back to regular mode. Started FF. Boom crash.
Back to safe mode. Did a system restore. Back to regular startup. Didn't help. Attempting to open FF crahed windows.
So back to safe mode. Started Firefox. Crashed the whole computer and same blues screen.
So I uninstalled FF. Reinstalled FF. It still makes Windows crash.
So now I am on IE :PSee below -- the way I asked the question the first time may not be clear. This post was a goof but I can't figure out how to delete it

Have read all your articles about settings up the plugins but neither will work with Firefox.
IE11 had no problem.
Why do you make your software so heard to work with and so hard to get support?Do I understand this correctly. If you use the named plugins sites give a 404 error but with the plugins the sites do not ?

Do you get any specific error message?
You might try installing Acrobat from a different browser.

I can't connect my Windows Vista 64 bit to Time Capsule and Internet
I have just start using a MacBook Air and a wireless network with a Time Machine! I used to have just PC with a simple home network. I get total successful in use the Time Machine and 2 other notebooks with windows XP, but I cannot connect a HP PC with Windows Vista 64 bit, neither to the Time Capsule nor to the internet. These computer are working perfect because I can connect to others Wi-Fi networks with no problems, seems that something is blocking! When I try to access the Time Capsule I get an answer that I should enable the NetBIOS, but I have already checked and it is working properly! When I ask to diagnose the network problem I get an answer that I should re-start my modem and internet connection, which I have done with no success!
I appreciate for some additional information! ThanksI had the exact same error message but it was on an Airport Extreme Base Station. I use a Macbook at my office and there are 2 XP desktops as well and we were using a shared storage hooked into the AEBS in order to share files. One day all of a sudden the XP machines starting displaying the same error message that NetBIOS should be enabled.
After googling every available article I discovered what ultimately solved our issue.
I opened the the Airport Utility app on my Macbook I clicked on "Manual Setup"
Then "Disks"
Then "File Sharing"
I discovered that the default name under "Workgroup" was Workgroup, but our network in the office is called "MSHome" so I changed it to match the PCs and instantly both PCs connected to the shared storage.
Also I changed the 2.4Ghz channel to a number other than the default 11.
I changed the name of the base station to a name less than 8 characters with no spaces and no symbols.
I changed the Wireless Security to "WPA/WPA 2 Personal".
I've been trying to add my fix to other Apple Support pages and they're all archived and closed to replies, so if you haven't gotten your TC to work, maybe this might help. -
P2015 can't download windows 7 64 bit driver without contract and can't contact HP
After a repair, i am currently reloading my computer with windows 7 64 bit. The disc that came with my printer doesn't have a 64 bit driver. No problem. I went to the HP website. Imagine my surprice, when I went to download a driver and was told without an existing contract for a printer I've owned for 5 years, I can no longer download a driver or get support. Further, without payment, I have no way to contact a human someone to resolve this issue?
I bought an HP printer bc of the support and superior quality of the printers. Now, not only do I have no support, I have a 50 lb paper weight I can't use. If this is the way HP is now doing business, I AM NEVER BUYING ANOTHER HP PRINTER. I have recommended HP printers 100s of times for business and personal use. Now, all those people I've raved to about HP printers and those who have bought them, have the same paper weight I do. Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I have used Firefox for 3 years on all my computers. However, Firefox 5 on my Windows 7 64-bit laptop locks up. I want to uninstall it and use an earlier version. Also, the "key' in the address bar to 'remember the password' for this site will NOT behave! No matter what I do, it continues to crop up. I dislike Firefox 5 because it is causing me delays, using up my time with constant problems. What previous version do you recommend I use?
