Windows 7 64 bit versions of Photoshop Elements
what versions of Photoshop Elements are compatible with windows 7 64 bit, as my curent Elements 4.0 is not. I wish to be able to use my backup of this programme on a newer version, with the same tabs etc

Try downloading the trial. It ought to detect that you have a 64-bit system.
You aren't using Vista, are you? PSE 13 requires at least win 7 and I think a few folks with vista have gotten a similar error message on trying to install it. -

But PSE11 runs well on 64 bit systems. In fact many apps are 32bit. If you do any video work have a look at the combo Photshop Elements + Premiere Elements which is very good value. Premiere Elements does have 64 bit support.

64-bit version of Photoshop Elements & Premier Elements 13
Yesterday I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements 13 at an Office Depot Store. I was finally able to download and install the Premier Elements. The Photoshop Elements 13 will download, but it will not install. Near the end of the 35-minute installation (which I have done 8 times) I get a message saying it will not install and that I need the 64-bit version. There was not an option for the 32 or 64 bit versions when I made the download. How can I get the 64-bit version without paying for the product again?

Akamai keeps downloading the Windows .exe version of Photoshop Elements 11
Hi,
I've just bought Photoshop 11 and I'm trying to install it on my iMac. However, the Akamai installer keeps downloading the .exe version for Windows. Not helpful...
Am I missing something here?

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -

No current Photoshop supports this configuration.
Photoshop CS5 was the last version of Photoshop to support Windows Vista.
Photoshop Elements 12 was the last version of Photoshop Elements to support Vista as well.
We no longer offer Photoshop CS5 or Elements 12.
You might look at Amazon to see if you can get either product listed above. Just be careful when purchasing, make sure you know who you're buying from!
