Windows 7 Acrobat Pro X conflict? Installed but won't open

I bought a new laptop and installed CS6 with Acrobat X Pro. AI and PS work fine, but Acrobat refuses to initialize. I suspect a conflict with trial installation software. Any ideas?

CS6 which package? Is it Master Collection costing $2500?
You must be an avid user of Adobe products to buy this monster for your low spec laptop!!
Generally, one should always uninstall all trial products before installing the paid up versions unless, you are replacing with the identical product and version number. For example, if you had trial versions of individual products (Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc etc) then you should remove all of them using Adobe's cleaner tool.

in 2012 I bought and downloaded CS5.5 and installed it completely. Never used Acrobat Pro though. Today I would like to but. Adobe Application Manager opens and asks to type the serialnumber. Looks like you installed SpellCatcher at one time. Uninstall. I'm not sure about the lastest SpellCatcher release today. Both older versions of SpellCatcher and Unsanity's Application Enhancher causes Keynote to fail to launch successfully.

Acrobat Pro XI is installed but is not shown as installed in CC (Mac)

Every so often Acrobat Pro XI says that I am running a demo version although I have a CC subscription. I 're-install' it and it remains in the pull down menu as installed for a day or two, then it shows up as not installed and offers me chance to install it again although I am happilly using it. This goes on and on and on. Anyone else seen this? Did anyone fix it?

Well Adobe installed CC with my installation and I haven't seen any sense in turning it off mainly because I get a message saying the CC will be updated and then that usually means that one of the Apps will be updated.
I've looked at step 2 and if some reason Acrobat stops working, I'll do that. However it was sort of ignoring everything until the Adobe servers because thinking this was a demo version.
Annual subscriptions? But you still pay monthly don't you? Hence when you get hacked and Adobe holds on to your credit card information, the hackers get you login, password and credit card.
Thanks. We'll call this finished but I am not going to uninstall Acrobat and lose my setup.

Firefox 3.6 just installed but won't open

SUBJECT: FIREFOX WON'T OPEN. I have used Firefox for years, but upon reinstalling my Vista Home Premium OS, I also had to reinstall all my software. The only problem I had was with Firefox, which appeared to download and install successfully, but refuses to open. I uninstalled and reinstalled it twice from the Internet, but it still won't open from either the desktop icon or the program list under 'Start'. Something seems to be blocking it, but what, and how can I fix this?

Does it start in [[Safe Mode]]? If it does, close the Safe Mode Firefox and open it normally. If it doesn't open, try creating a new profile at [[Managing Profiles]]

If you definitely have a working QuickTime but iTunes thinks that you7 do not, then this points to a particular type of error.
Do you have a computer that has been set up for a work network? You may find that iTunes works OK when the computer is connected to the network but doesn't at home when not connected.
There are other possibilities, but this is a common one.
If I have guessed right, the problem lies in the %path% environment variable. In order to look at its contents, could you do the following:
Type:
cmd
into your search box and click cmd under Programs.
The black cmd window will open.
Next copy&paste the following into the cmd window and press return:
echo %path% >documents\path.txt
This will place the contents of the %path% variable in a text file called Path in (My) Documents.
Could you copy&paste this text file into your next post so I can look at it.
(Use ctrl V to paste into the editor, right click doesn't work.)

IWeb installed, but won't open to desktop

I was working on my website, clicked on save, and all disappeared.
iWeb remains in the Applications folder, but will not open from there
or from the saved file on the desk top and one on the palm drive.
I re-installed iWeb (iLife 9), but it still will not open.
What to do now?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - launch iWeb and see if there's any improvement.

PB Apps on BBW Downloading and installing But won't open.

I've just bought a Playbook and installed the lates OS. When I went to Blackberry World to install some apps, they seem to download and install fine but then sit in limbo and won't open. This has happened to 3 free apps now.

The apps I installed are the Blackberry Tutorial, The Belgium Zip Code Lookup and a Soltaire Game.
The apps are visible on the App World screen as installed. But no icon appears anywhere else. Touching the app in the App World menu only provides a description. There is no loss of functionality with the rest of the Playbook.

LR6 downloaded/installed but won't open. Help screens didn't help.

I am logged into my creative cloud account. I downloaded and installed the new LR upgrade but it won't open using either of the methods in help. I have tried a restart, no joy. Me too. Tried to get Adobe to help. After 30 minutes someone answered the telephone. Support person implied he's never heard of such a thing. Posted problem on forum. Someone asked me about my computer specs. Tried the support chat feature. Waited forever. Nobody at Adobe responded to chat request. Eventually got a robot email form Adobe stating the problem is solved and issue officially closed. Before this afternoon I had a working LR. Now, I have one LR that is partially functional and one that doesn't open.

One reason this can occur is because of parental settings. eBay has a rating of 12+; if this is not allowed in
Settings > General > Restrictions > Apps
...then the app will not show up.

I have been looking at how to do these tasks - not 100% on both.
The quickest way to do this is to create a clone copy of your existing internal Macintosh HD. You can create this copy using applications like Data Backup, Carbon Copy Cloner, or SuperDuper!.
I use an external USB HDD for the clone copies.
The following AppleInsider article will give you an idea on how to use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a clone backup of your Mac's hard drive.

Classic is installed but won't open apps

I've confirmed the Classic OS in System preferences. However, when I try to open an OS9 app, it will appear in the OSX Dock, but will not open. I think I may have to reinstall Classic. Any ideas?

After using Macs for 24 years and hanging around these forums quite regularly for about half that time (since several years before they were called Apple Discussions), I have no clue at all what "See the bless tool's man page" might mean, or how to go about doing so. I suspect that a good many other readers of your post, quite possibly including TokyoMonAmour, will be similarly mystified. Perhaps it would be more helpful just to tell how to re-bless the System Folder.
If an OS 9 or earlier System Folder does not bear the Mac OS smiley-face logo, it is not "blessed". To re-bless the System Folder, open the folder, drag the System file out of it onto the desktop, close the folder, and drag and drop the System file back onto the closed folder. The Mac OS logo should now appear on it.
