Windows 7 and Adobe 9 incompatibility

I am trying to learn how to reset the password on my HP office jet 6500 A. The answer to incompatibility of Adobe update and Windows 7 says to reset password on the printer. I cant find the password. Help?

This issue appears where there are any inconsistencies in your catalog (generally for video files). This issue may be due to offline files, missing files, video scenes. The recommendation here would be to fix these inconsistencies and try again. If that doesn't solve the issue, please follow steps mentioned in email by me.

Did a new install of Windows 7 and Adobe, but CS won't activate.

Have Adobe Creative Sweet Premium from a couple years ago. Did a new install of Windows 7 and Adobe, but CS won't activate. Probably did not de-activate the old product. I paid for it though and have the install disks and serial numbers.
The adobe.com/go/activate website is less useful. Been on live chat for 20 min. It says an agent is available but no one responds. Help?

That was a good start. Need one more helpful hint. I just found the Adobe DVDs. It is actually Creative Suite 5 Design Standard. It would be nice to put on a box without a DVD player. Can you please provide me with a download link for CS5 DS?

Cant find print function windows 8 and adobe reader

I resolved my issue! The new app format with windows 8 takes time to master. The adobe reader does not have a friendly toolbar. No print function on the bottom tool bar when all other actions except printing are noted. I finally decided to check my main side tool bar and there was my printer seeing the adobe file and ready to print. So I resolved my issue but very much appreciate your reaching out to help me. Windows 8 and Adobe Audition

I have windows 8 and have downloaded and installed adobe aution cc but can't find it. Everything I click takes me to the web site download page again.
I have Audition CS5.5 on the old laptop - can I upgrade this? Can I buy an upgrade? Do I have to pay a monthly fee because if so I could not justify the money as it's used so little.

FWIW, my Win 8 experiences witha pen-based older tablet/laptop have not included any BSOD's, but I have had to adapt the interface by adding a "Programs" toolbar to the taskbar (Audition appears in this) and by adding an icon to enable me to bring up the "Charms" thing from the desktop, which was necessary in tablet mode. The instructions for the toolbar are easy to find on the internet, and both these features are achieved without any third party software.
I did try a couple of free "add a start button" programs, but both of these had side effects that I didn't like, so I removed them again.
Some of my audio interfaces that work on Win 7 don't work properly on Win 8. These include my Tascam FW1884 and Edirol UA-3FX. I'm still on Audition 3, but that works well enough on Win 8 here with other interfaces.
I've been trying a different DAW on Win8 and have found that its requirements involve either adding several icons to the normal screen or several navigations around and between the two main screens before the program will start. I find this stressful and time consuming.
My son has been using a modern tablet/laptop with multitouch for his work, specifically because he makes a lot of long train journeys. Today he has told me that he has given up and his new Mac Air is due to be delivered next week, even though this will mean running several programs that he uses in his business in virtual machines.

I have Window 8 and running Internet Explorer 10 and when I go to a website that need Adobe to run the program, it tells me that I do not have Shockwave is enabled and ActiveX Filtering is not, and I have ran all the test that is aked on the site to check it out and everything is okay. I am not sure how to get it to work, any ideas? Runnng 10.1.5 Can anyone help me out?

hi, i have windows 7 and still using CS3. type manager does not work with windows 7. i was so accustomed to using type manager but thought i figured out how to get my fonts working. They are in other software (such as microsoft/quark). However, in all my adobe products my fonts besides the fonts which were loaded on the computer are not showing up. can you help?

Using Dell Latitude D630 with Windows 7 and Adobe CS6 - PCMCIA hardware accelerators?

I have a separate thread going using the hardware accelleration that comes with the Intel Mobile 965 Express Chipset not working
for me, and trying to figure out how to get OpenGL and 3d features of Photoshop CS6 to work.
So, I was thinking maybe a work-around. Are there supported PCMCIA card graphics accelerators that anyone could recommend
that would work with Windows 7 and interface via PCMCIA that meet the requirements to be used with Adobe CS6?

A Dell Latitude 630 isn't enough machine to do what you want to do, I owned one. Geerks.com had a great laptop today for 379.

Windows vista and Adobe

I have windows Vista 32 bit, and am having problems downloading Adobe. I have read that the only Adobe version that will work with Vista is Adobe 7; what is the reality, Thx, Jim

That is potentially your problem right there. You should never have more than one version installed. They will fight over the resources if you have more than one.
First suggestion would be to remove both and install only one to see if that clears up your issue.

Windows 7 and Adobe 9.3.3 - an internal error occurred

Have installed Windows 7 on a domain client PC. Have downloaded the only version available (9.3.3) for Windows 7. End user belongs to Administrator Group on the domain and is also an Administrator if logged into the computer itself. Download and installation completes without visible error. A click on the desktop icon produces a popup that says, "An internal error occurred." That's it - nothing else happens and you're returned to the Win7 desktop. Compatibility adjustments do not help.
If logged into the machine itself (bypassing domain), the download is completed AND the Adobe Reader runs correctly. BUT IT DOES NOT RUN WHILE CONNECTED TO THE DOMAIN.
Please advise.

Could you please try and execute the following commands on your end (via both the processes i.e. User logged in on Domain and User logged in after bypassing domain)
echo %userprofile% (Should return an existing and verifiable path for the logged in user's data)
echo %username% (Should return the User Name of the logged in user)
This would help you to figure out whether this is a problem with the User Profile path being incorrect or not.

Cannot save form with Windows Vista and Adobe Reader 8

I have many forms created with Adobe Livecycle Designer 8. Users who have upgraded to Windows Vista can no longer save these forms. Any ideas?

I don't have Vista, but in XP I have found deleting the printer driver
and re-installing sometimes works.

Windows 8 and Adobe Flash Player

I got a new laptop about 2 days ago. When trying to access some websites that require Adobe Flashplayer, I was unable to view. So I tried disabling it, then re-enabling it, and messing with the Acitve X filter (as suggested by the website/Adobe), I finally uninstalled it, as that too was recommended. Now I am trying to work on re-installing, but am getting messages that it already is installed. Please help!

Flash Player for Internet Explorer is embedded by Microsoft in WIndiows 8. It updates through Windows Update.

I'm about to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, and would like to know if Adobe CS3 Production Premium will install on
Windows 7 64-bit?

It should but why in the world would you stick with 32 bit video apps if you're moving to Win 7 64 bit? You can upgrade for a pretty reasonable amount and take advantage of the new machine. Put a boatload of RAM in there and you'll be a lot happier.

Finally, I'm assuming that this is about a new machine. If you truly mean you're upgrading Windows, then make sure you do a CLEAN INSTALL. Do not do an inplace upgrade of Windows.
