Windows 7 and bluetooth
Hi,
I've been having this problem with my HP pavillion dv9880ee for a while and I've done everything I could to fix it but no luck (usually people bring their laptops to me to fix them )
well anyways, the laptop came with windows vista 32bit, after the release of windows 7, I got the ultimate edittion and installed it (32bit) since then my bluetooth has stopped working, the tray icon is there, drivers are installed but I cannot "see" other bluetooth devices around me nor can other devices see me,of course it means I canot send/recieve files or connect my mouse and headset...
I tried the most popular solutions that come up when I google it, I've installed about 20 different drivers and did alot of things....but no change.
Please help me with this as I'd appreicate being able to use all my bluetooth gears and gadgets again.
Thanks in advance .
hey,
Thanks for answering, actually I already downloaded that driver and installed it, no use.
the strange thing is, the driver is ok but the bluetooth is not being detected by other devices and it also cannot detect other devices....
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but under the COM tab there were no ports at all, I created 1 but whever I try to delete it it says "the specified service does not exist" my bluetooth serivce is running though
I know this is not problem with my hardware but all the drivers up to now are of no use..
Thanks again

Please help... Problems with windows and bluetooth
Hi,
My computer has been working without a hitch for the past 3 months but just recently i bought a bluetooth mouse to use with mac and windows. But then I noticed that there are some major issues now.
I have a Bluetooth devices icon in my control panel (actually two of them, i dont know how that happened) but in the device manager, there is no apple bluetooth kicker. No bluetooth hub at all. So I dont know if the driver actually installed or not.
Then, I try booting back up the macintosh drivers for windows cd to use the uninstall, but it can't uninstall. It only installs. I tried uninstalling through add or remove programs and it still just installs over again.
Please, somebody help me. I'm about to rip my MBP a new one.
Thanks,
PhongInstalled new boot camp drivers. Works perfectly now.

IPhone and Windows 7 Bluetooth profiles
Just picked up the iPhone 4 last week and paired with my Windows 7 HP. No problems pairing but was surprised that there were only two bluetooth profiles enabled. I was expecting to also see the profile for OBEX to copy JPEG photos to and from the laptop. And I was expecting to see the AV profiles so that I can access music on the device from the laptop. I had both of these features on the Moto I replaced this with.
Anyone else paired up with Windows and bluetooth and seeing more than just wireless iAP and remote control under the BT profile services available from Windows? That's all I'm getting which is way less than my buddy with AT&T iPhone gets on his Windows 7 desktop and bluetooth. The iphone 4 has limited bluetooth support. Check out this link for full details.

Re: Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit FN key and Bluetooth crash
I have an old problem with FN key. I installed Vista and after a while, it stops working. In Windows, when I press the FN key it freezes about 3 seconds, a blue screen appears that tells me Vista has crashed, a memory dump begins and then the laptop restarts. And now, bluetooth doesn't work anymore and if I try to enable it it dows the same thing.
P.S. The Windows is new installed (4 days), and has automatic updates to date.
I reinstalled Toshiba Value Package, Bluetooth Monitor and Bluetooth Stack.LE: I uninstalled Value Package and it doesn't give me the blue screen anymore. The FN key works, but it doesn't display that menu on the top of the screen when i press it, but the functions work.

How did you install Windows? Did you use Bootcamp Assistant or did you use a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox.
If you used Bootcamp Assistant, did you download and install the Windows Support software (drivers) in accordance with the Bootcamp instructions? -
HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 windows 7 wifi and bluetooth disabled
Hi,
I successfully downgraded Sleekbook 14 into Windows 7 64 a while ago.
Everything worked fine.
Now, after reinstalation of Windows 7 clear,
I cannot turn on Wifi and Bluetooth, and even cannot install drivers.
I tried several differnet wifi drivers.
I tried to use drivers which I used previously. No success.
I have Ralink module inside.
Drivers did not installed. In hardware list of Windows I do not see network card.
F12 LED still flash in orange. Fn+F12 nothing changes.
I cannot force it to blue light.
When I use Window Add Hardware... I see blank window. None hardware detect, and even I cannot select new harware manually. Is it normal?
Could it be module smashed? Does it happen? How to verify finally?
I do not see any network card or option in BIOS. Should I?Hi there @JAN_GER
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I understand that you are havingsome trouble with your Wireless after downgrading to Windows 7. I am happy to offer help with this.
Firstly, the model you referred to is not supported in a Windows 7, configuration. The HP customized drivers that are available are for Windows 8.0 and 8.1. With that in mind I would be happy to help you with any driver issue under a supported operating system.
Otherwise, you can take a look at the following page: What if I Don't See My Operating System?

I recently bought HP 15-S006TU through flipkart and installed Windows 7 OS, I tried downloading all drivers from hp website but I didnt find network controller and bluetooth drivers, I am missing these very badly without this i cant connect to internet, request to help me in this regard and suggest a link where i can download these.
Hi:
There are no drivers for Vista for the wireless/bluetooth adapters in your model.
Maybe this wireless driver might work but it is pretty old...
http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_111718_1&sp4ts.oid=5229461
I can't find a bluetooth driver that lists vista as supported.
You can try this older one for Windows 7 but I doubt it will work.

Not able to switch on WiFi and Bluetooth after upgrading to Windows 10
I was using Windows 7 Home Basic preinstalled with the laptop since 2011. The laptop was working fine. After upgrading to Windows 10 the WiFi and Bluetooth is not working. Tried help from Microsoft remotely. According to them the drivers are not working and there is no updated drivers available for Windows 10 on HP website. The driver installed presently is "Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter".Please help and advise whether to stick with Windows 10 or to roll back to Windows 7 as I have an option to purchase a removable device to use WiFi and Bluetooth.I love the lightness of the new operating system. Please help!!!

Starting with Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012 R2, Hyper-V can now redirect local resources to a virtual machine session through Virtual Machine Connection tool. The enhanced session mode connection uses a Remote Desktop Connection session via the virtual

Optical drive, camera and bluetooth problems with Acer Aspire 7520
Hello everyone
First, my DVD drive just stopped working, it's not being recognized by Arch it seems. This has happened before a few times, but it suddenly started to work. I can open the tray manually, and when I insert a DVD, you can see the led blinking and drive does start to spin, but thats all. I've tried removing and reloading cdrom module with no success. Also, there was a /dev/sr0 before, now it's gone.
Here is the output from dmesg:

Now, the camera issue is a bit different. It worked before with no problems. But now, when I start guvcview, it opens it's main window, and a second window that usually show picture from camera, just appears for a moment and disappears. The led next to my camera turns on, and stays that way. Also, yesterday when I was trying to test the camera, guvcview stuck in a uninteruptible state, so I couldn't kill him in any way. Even after I close guvcview, the camera led is still on, but he is not among active processes. Although in the guvcview output below it says that the device is in use, I don't know how, because I rebooted my laptop and then I tried to run it.
This is what guvcview outputs in console after I start and then close it:

For the bluetooth, I really never managed to get it working. The bluetooth daemons starts with no problems, but hcitool dev shows no devices. I read the wiki, and the only thing I didn't try is the hid2hci tool, I couldn't figure out what to use for devpath argument.

Trouble with Vista and Bluetooth
I'm having an issue with Vista SP2 and Bluetooth. I have Vista Home Premium SP2 running under Boot Camp on a MacBook Pro, and I have an Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse and Apple Wireless Keyboard I need to pair with Windows. I followed the instructions listed in the Boot Camp manual, but Vista won't let me create my own passkey, it just "pairs" the devices for me. When I close the window, the devices do not show up, nor do they function. I called AppleCare support, and have talked with all of who could help me, and they have determined this is an issue with Windows and that I need help from Microsoft. They said I have to enter my own passkey to get it to work, and they do not know why I can't. They're thinking it has something to do with a Windows Update.
Just wondering what can I do to get these paired up and working. I really need these to work since my MacBook Pro is on a notebook riser and it's awkward to raise up and type and click in such an uncomfortable position.
Thanks!
NathanI cannot get the apple wireless keyboard to work with my Mac Pro (Feb-2008 model) under bootcamp and Vista Home Premium 64. I had to upgrade from 10.5.1 in order to use Final Cut Studio 3, so I downloaded and installed OSX 10.5.8 update. Then I ran bootcamp and installed Vista 64. Afterwards, in Vista I inserted the original OSX 10.5.1 DVD and installed the drivers so Vista would recognize the apple hardware.
I went to pair the wireless mighty mouse and apple keyboard and the instructions say to enter 0000 for the mouse, and enter an 8 digit or larger number for the keyboard. Since the keyboard doesn't work, I couldn't enter anything so I let the system choose a number for the keyboard and let the mouse go without a number. Both show they are connected but only the mouse works. I also tried letting the system generate a number for both but only the mouse works. I tried turning off the mouse but then the system doesn't detect the keyboard at all. For that matter, I don't even like the mighty mouse anyway and prefer to use the mouse with my Wacom tablet so I could do without the mighty mouse if that would somehow help.
Is there a known issue with 10.5.8 and bluetooth under windows vista 64? What should I do? I must have Vista 64 in order to utilize 3ds Max 2010 and I must have a keyboard to use 3ds Max. Is there a driver I can download to make it work or do I need to buy a generic USB keyboard?
Thanks in advace for any help with this. I am looking forward to finally getting this Mac all set up. -

Bootcamp: Two keyboards needed -- one for Windows and one for Mac?
Oh, the ground-pounding frustration! I bought the Apple wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard with my new dual-core Intel iMac, and was told it would work in both Windows and Mac worlds. Not so! It works fine with Apple OS, but not with Windows XP. Frustratingly, the wireless mighty-mouse works (after you left-click), but the keyboard won't work. Sometimes it will work if I turn it on and off a few times. And yes, I have activated the bluetooth finder in "control panel" under the Windows OS, and yes, both are recognized and "connected." (So is an HP printer which works well, albeit slowly.) I had to buy a Microsoft wired USB keyboard to get through the Windows setup. Curiously, this Microsoft wired keyboard works with both the Windows and Mac OS.
I have another issue, also, but perhaps it would best if I posted it separately. Still, if anyone can tell me why this computer cannot come out of "standby" in Windows without hanging up (weird colors on screen, half-brightness in screen, locked mouse and keyboard), I'd appreciate it very much.
Please reply to: [email protected]
And thank you very much indeed for any insight you can provide. Maybe I should just go buy the wired Apple keyboard and mouse?
20" iMac Intel dual core Running BootcampSorry, but here's the work from the BootCamp Requirements/FAQ page (emphasis mine):
"Are there any Macintosh features that I should not expect to work when running Windows XP on an Intel-based Macintosh computer?
Even after installling the Macintosh Drivers CD, the Apple Remote Control (IR), Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard or mouse, Apple USB Modem, MacBook Pro's sudden motion sensor, and MacBook Pro's ambient light sensor will not function correctly when running Windows."
So it does indeed look like you'll need a wired keyboard and mouse, at least for now (we'll have to see what's supported when Leopard comes out). -
ipad apps 1 I lost all after I installed new windows and I tried to connect it between your computer and iPad, what's the solution? (Please Inbox : [email protected]) Thanks
Hi,
Sounds like it isn't to serious. the Bluetooth connection had an error and that is that generated
the Problem report.
When the Blackberry started to use Bluetooth the "gold standard" was using Microsoft's
"native" windows drivers. Now, every major PC company has there own version
Thus the problem report.
There is rather involved and lengthy procedure to check and install the correct Bluetooth drivers
in the Dell, but I really don't think you want to take that on.( Nod you head and say H*LL YES)
Here is what I propose;
The problem report needs to be resolved or it wont go away. Read the manual, call Dell,
try apologizing to it and that you'll never never do it again, what ever it takes!
Make the best investment you can make for your Blackberry, buy a media card.
All the memory in the BB is dynamic, this facilitates the functions of the phone.
By storing media in that memory, you effect are wasting X amount for file storage.
Store all media and files on the media card, and you will have a smooth running device.
They run about $25.00usd, they are easy to install, and they also make moving your
media a snap. You will need the USB adapter that came with it, but you can get that at
your local carrier store.
So if you agree with this I need some info.
On the Blackberry go to the options icon, click then scroll up to ABOUT.
I need your software version number, it's listed in this format: 4.x.x.xxx.
Send it back to me and I can tell you what size card you can get.
Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks,
Bifocals

Desktop Software and Bluetooth (not just a rehash of the same problem!)
Hoping someone here can help me! I'm just about to go batty.
Long story - so I'll just skip to the relevent parts. I'm trying to connect my (T-Mobile) 8800 to my PC (it's an old Sony desktop, that did not come with bluetooth support. Running SP3) I've purchased a Rocketfish (Best Buy's cheapo brand?) Bluetooth USB adapter. I set that up, it read my 8800 just fine, did the key stuff, etc.
The problem is that the BlackBerry Desktop Software is not accepting that particular adapter. I've read what I think is every article (!) on the topic, and I understand that the Desktop Software only works with the outdated drivers that come with SP2 - no 3rd Parties. I uninstalled the software, and stuck the adapter back in, and let windows install with its driver. It seems to be calling it "Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 USB-UHE Device."
Now, I have no Bluetooth icon in the taskbar, and none in the control panel, either. Obviously, the Desktop Software is a no-go, too.
Can anyone please let me know some suggestions? I've tried this (http://www.vinsvision.com/Articles/tabid/66/EntryID/13/Default.aspx) etc. I've called T-Mobile, tried to call RIM (though I didn't want to pay $50 for support that probably won't fix the issue?) and wasted the entire day!
Should I just return the new adapter and buy one that is represented in SP2? Are there any newer ones that are? I read someone say they found a belkin one that worked on Ebay. Would prefer an option that, if required to buy a new item, could do it locally ASAP.
Thanks in advance everyone!Hi and welcome to the forums!
