Windows 7 and HDD controller drivers

I need a compatiable HDD controler driver for windows 7 for a  Slimline s3500F.  When I try to run a clean install on those desktops, windows 7 can not find a HDD to install on.  This is not an upgrade.  The drives have been formated in the windows 7 cmd term so nothing is on the disks.  I just need a HDD controller driver.
I have already tried expanding the nForce 430/6150se chipset driver from nVidia's site (32bit Vista/win7 ed.), but none of the sata drivers in the archive are compatible with my hardware according to the Win7 install app.  If the Slimline s3500f does not use the nForce 430/6150se chipset, what does it use?  Getting any information for this computer seems to be difficult. On a personal note from myself and the company I work for, If we can't get any concrete answers to these questions I will be forced to upgrade our office PCs because the Slimline s3500F pc doesn't currently have an OS on them which is clearly unaccaptable.  If I am forced to upgrade, my company will never by HP again, this lack of clear documentation is appalling.
Extra information if it's helpful.
A recent office move has resulted in the loss of our s3500F restore CDs.  Since we never purchased a copy of vista, and because XP seems to be impossible to install on them (errors after the xp pro Install coppied files to the HD & restarted), and because both IT and admin refuse to buy a real copy of vista, our only option right now is to get win7 on these PCs A.S.A.P.  We are using the 7227 Ultimate RC until Win7 goes for sale at retail.  However, as I've already said if we can't get our s3500F PCs online we will be upgrading our office equipment, (most likely canidate is Dell due to superior documentation).  I don't care about GFX, sound, or even card reader drivers.  I just need the Disk controler so we can get a base OS on them.  As long as they are operational we can wait for extra drivers.

Assuming you have a genuine "Full License" version of Windows 7, open the motherboard BIOS and change the DVD drive to the first bootable drive and the Hard Drive as the second bootable drive.  Insert the Windows DVD in the DVD drive, save your new BIOS settings and upon restart you should be able to boot with the Windows 7 DVD.  When the setup menu appears, select the option to delete any existing partitions, then create a new partition and proceed to install Windows 7.
I appreciate the reply but did you even read my post?  The problem isn't that I can't boot the windows 7 install DVD, the problem is that I can't get the Windows 7 installer to see my hard drive.
For clarification puposes:
I can boot off the windows 7 DVD
The DVD rom in all of the s3500F systems is the primary boot device.
There are no partitions to delete in the Win 7 setup screen because it can't detect any supported hardware to install on.
This is a Driver issue - not a bios issue.
I have been able to determine from multiple websites now that the chipset in the s3500F is a nForce 430/6150SE.  The current revision (nVidia-15.49) of the driver with windows 7 support does not work.  I am currently in the process of trying older version of the nForce 430/6150SE to see which version of the SATAide driver will work with the s3500F in windows 7 ultimate.

  • Windows 7 and Creative Official Drivers! It really works!

Ok guys, I'm really ecstatic that this works! Here are all of the steps that you need to follow to get your OFFICIAL Creative drivers working on Windows 7!
So usually you'll run the installer but it'll tell your that your OS is unsupported and that you need one "newer" than XP. Here is the fix for it!
. First, download the appropriate driver for your card.
    2. Create a temporary folder somewhere that you'll remember, e.g. on your desktop.
    3. Right click on the downloaded driver (once complete) in your downloads folder. Click "Extract Files..." and when it loads extract them to your temporary folder.
    4. Go into your temporary folder where the files extracted to. Right click on the Setup icon. It should be right there, no need to go into any other folders. In the menu select "properties."
    5. Go to the "compatibility" tab and check the box at the bottom that says "run as administrator." After that go to the top and check the box that says "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then choose "Windows Vista" from the dropdown menu. Click "ok".
    6. Return to the temporary folder and double click on the same setup icon that you just changed and follow through with the installer. You're done!

Yes it works but it doesn't have fully working 7. surround sound mode My new drivers make surround sound work and new bass added to it. I be release them this [email protected]

  • Windows 7 and 8.1 drivers firmware - on MacBook Pro 15" early 2011

    I have a MacBookPro8,2 1.0 - 15" - I purchased in March 2011. I have been using bootcamp 5.0 (upgrading now to 5.1) and running Windows 7.
    Two questions:
    1. what is the best way to know if I have the correct firmware and drivers for this computer?
    2. and does bootcamp support windows 8.1? thunderbolt display... others

    pushyourmind,
If you’re up-to-date with Software Update, then you have the correct firmware installed. If you’re running 32-bit Windows 7, then Boot Camp Support Software 4.0.4033 contains the correct drivers; if you’re running 64-bit Windows 7, then Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621 contains the correct drivers. Which ever support software corresponds to your version of Windows 7, try downloading the corresponding .zip archive and following the installation instructions on the corresponding link above when booted in Windows.
Boot Camp 5.1 supports Windows 8.1 on your model MacBook Pro if you’re running OS X 10.8.3 or newer. Earlier versions of Boot Camp and older versions of OS X don’t support Windows 8.1 in Boot Camp on your model MacBook Pro.

  • Windows 2000 and Nokia Cable Drivers and PC Suite

Appears Nokia does not support Windows 2k. Even though their web page states the USB Cable CA-101 driver, Nokia_Connectivity_Cable_Driver_rel_7_0_2_0_eng.msi, per their line "Nokia Cable Driver for Windows 2000, XP and Vista" on the web page says so. frustrating. Already aware that PC Suite version 7 is not supported in Win2k.
Is there a driver out there for the USB Cable CA-101 that will connect to the phone running Windows 2000? and allow at least the sd memory card be accessed for data transfer and other functions? thank you.

    Hi exergonico,
Which device are you using?  Do you have CD that came along with your device?  Could you please Search(Google) for Nokia PC Suite 6.85 or 6.86 nokia pc suite version and install on your pc to check this issue?

  • Incompatibility with Windows 8 and Intel WiFi Drivers

Firefox 17 worked well with my original Intel driver for windows 8 but I had connection issues. I have now updated my Intel driver to 15.5.6 and now several of my websites will not display or load properly. All I get i a white screen with lines of black text or blue hyperlink text. It looks like a word document. Unfortunately I know that it is firefox because the websites work in google chrome. I would prefer to continue using firefox so I would love a patch or an update to change this.

  • Windows 8 and a dead home sharing - not answered

Hi all. I've read through countless post about home sharing. Mine used to work and now I'm lucky if it just shows up on my new (3rd gen) iPad. I have changed Firewall setting in Norton (not Windows). I have turned them off, and yet nada. I've got the 4 main ports open - TCP ports 123 and 3689 as well as UDP ports 123 and 5353 so the firewall won't block them, but I'm still at a loss.
Right now, I'm at my wits end. Can anyone help me? I've talked with Norton, they tried and failed. I'm guessing this is now a stupid Window's issue, but I can't find it. I've turnoff and turned on services - Bonjour, Itunes.
Help.... I need my Home Sharing. ;-)
To any heros out there, thank you in advance.

Sorry, but no computer manufacturer is going to provide support for a new operating operating system on a computer over four years old. Your HP IQ804 originally came with Windows Vista and HP provided drivers for upgrading to Window 7. Your best bet is to download Windows 8 drivers from the actual manufacturers of the hardware contained in your computer... Intel, AMD/ATI, Nvidia, Realtek, Atheros, Ralink, etc
    Per HP's Windows 8 Upgrade Information;
Not all Windows 8 features may be available on all PCs.
Your particular experience with Windows 8 will be determined by the capabilities of your PC.
HP is providing upgrade instructions and drivers will be available for most Windows 7 systems sold after 1st October 2011.
If you want to restore the original operating system after upgrading, you must create HP recovery media before you upgrade.
Please note that if you purchased your system prior to October 1, 2011, HP has not tested these PCs or developed Windows 8 upgrade instructions or drivers for them. Upgrading such systems may be difficult or impossible.

  • M93P and use of 2 HDD Controller | add additional SATA Controller

    Hello,
Has anyone added a second HDD SATA controller to their ThnikCentre M93/p , my is a mini tower, to add SATA HDD ports to their setup. I have try to add a Marvell 88SE9230 based RAID HDD Controller as a second controller, but was not recognized.
    Thanks for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I just added a 2-port PCIe SATA controller, Syba SI-PEX40061, to my M93p.  Windows 7 recognized it and automatically installed drivers, and I subsequently installed updated drivers.  It's based on Marvell 88SE9120 Chipset.  When a HDD is attached, prior to boot, Win 7 hangs.  If a HDD is connected after Win 7 has booted, it causes BSOD. Lenovo BIOS is setup for AHCI by default and I set it to allow legacy BIOS support, and the controller has AHCI by default.  Still can't get controller to work.  HAS ANYONE HAD LUCK WITH AN ADD-ON SATA CONTROLLER?
