Windows 7 and keyboard

Is there a driver that corrects the keyboard problems with Windows 7. In order to type one has to wait more than a second between hitting keys. Help!! I have a Pavillio laptop.

I am havin the sam eissue as you can tell I have set al setings to fast..and still it skips keys randomly. I have reinstalled drivers and what else can I do? This keyboard came with bundle HP Pavilion s5310f. I need a fix for this issue. I type for a living and this is unacceptble sppeed and tuypps...shew. Any info, help, or new keyboard appreciatd...thisis no working

USB mouse and keyboard don't work on HP Pavilion g7 2203sd, Windows 8.1.

It is not possible to use a USB mouse or keyboard on the HP Pavilion g7 2203sd notebook running Windows 8.1.
A wireless mouse used to work (already some time ago), but now wired or wireless mouse and keyboard don't work any more.
I have tried removing USB devices in the Windows Device Manager and let Windows detect them again, but it does not work.
I read somewhere that it might have to do with the xHCI USB controller that is installed.
I tried removing that and connecting the USB mouse but no succes.
I also looked for driver updates or something to disbale in the BIOS (like xHCI), but nothing found for that.
Can anybody help me with this problem.

Is there a keyboard shortcut in OS 10.6 for "open folder window" and "close folder window"? I have a hand condition at the moment that makes it painful to mouse the cursor over to the arrow and click it (for instance, in the sidebars for Finder or iTunes) to open or close a folder. If anyone knows a keyboard shortcut for this, I'd really appreciate it--thanks!

Wireless mouse and keyboard Windows 7

I successfully installed Windows 7 (32 bit) on Apple boot camp (3.2) of my iMac 24.
Everything is working perfectly, except my wireless Magic mouse and wireless keyboard.
I found 2 Bluetooth adapters (Generic Bluetooth adapter and Microsoft Bluetooth-enumerator).
The mouse and keyboard are found but won't install!
What am I doing wrong?

How to fix the mouse and keyboard freezing when installing Windows 7 on 27' iMac late 2013?

Hi, I have a question for u guys who can solve this.
I recently bought the new 27' iMac late 2013, and I installed some softwares and used it for few days.
Before I bought this I used the 15' Macbook Pro Retina, I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and I used the Windows for gaming.
So back to my question.
So I bought the new iMac and I was tying to install Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (with the same CD).
After dividing the partition, and other stuff, the iMac rebooted and I hold down the option (alt) key. I choose the Windows CD, and it said it is "getting ready to install Windows". I let it load, and the blue screen where you choose the language, time/location and keyboard input popped up. At the bottom right corner (at the same page), there is a button that said "Next (N)" which u need to click it to go to the next step. I was moving my mouse to click the button, but I realized that my mouse and keyboard was frozen. I tried both wireless and wired mouse and keyboard but they didn't work. There was nothing I could do. I hold the power button, (that was the only option) and tried my mouse and keyboard on Mac OS and it worked fine.
I thought something went wrong in the CD so I bought the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. The result was same. It frizzed again. (I just wast few hundred $)
Latter my friend lend me his Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. I tried it, and it worked, it didn't freezed on Windows 8.
The problem is I played Battlefield 4, Titan fall, and Watch Dogs, and Battlefield 4 multiplayer doesn't work on Windows 8.1. Even though when it works on Windows 8, I prefer using Windows 7.
Dose anyone knows how to fix this freezing thing?
My computer is:
27' iMac late 2013 (bought it just few days ago)
I did no upgrades when I bought it, except the graphic card.
I bought the iMac in Korean Apple Store, and my Windows CD is in Korean, can that be a problem?

In addition to the Windows disc (or USB flash drive with the Windows installer) you'll need a 8GB+ flash drive.

Boot-camp/Windows with cordless mouse and keyboard

I am picking up my 27" quad core iMac tomorrow. In anticipation I bought the Pogue book on Snow Leopard. In it he says that you can't install Windows with the cordless mouse and keyboard but that once installed it can be used with the cordless mouse/keyboard. Will someone please tell me he is wrong .

I used mine to install Windows. Worked just fine till the Apple Bluetooth drivers were installed, then I just had to connect a regular USB keyboard/mouse to pair the bluetooth keyboard and mouse again.
One suggestion, after you install the Boot Camp drivers and plug in your USB keyboard/mouse, uninstall the "Apple Bluetooth" drivers (I believe there are two of them) and restart your computer. Let Windows automatically install generic drivers for the built in bluetooth, THEN pair your wireless keyboard and mouse. After that you can reinstall the Apple bluetooth drivers if you want, although I don't think it's particularly necessary. The generic drivers seem to work fine in my experience.
You may run into trouble pairing your keyboard and mouse, if so, refer to the "Boot Camp" section on this site, there are millions of threads about it there.

Bootcamp: Two keyboards needed -- one for Windows and one for Mac?

Oh, the ground-pounding frustration! I bought the Apple wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard with my new dual-core Intel iMac, and was told it would work in both Windows and Mac worlds. Not so! It works fine with Apple OS, but not with Windows XP. Frustratingly, the wireless mighty-mouse works (after you left-click), but the keyboard won't work. Sometimes it will work if I turn it on and off a few times. And yes, I have activated the bluetooth finder in "control panel" under the Windows OS, and yes, both are recognized and "connected." (So is an HP printer which works well, albeit slowly.) I had to buy a Microsoft wired USB keyboard to get through the Windows setup. Curiously, this Microsoft wired keyboard works with both the Windows and Mac OS.
I have another issue, also, but perhaps it would best if I posted it separately. Still, if anyone can tell me why this computer cannot come out of "standby" in Windows without hanging up (weird colors on screen, half-brightness in screen, locked mouse and keyboard), I'd appreciate it very much.

Sorry, but here's the work from the BootCamp Requirements/FAQ page (emphasis mine):
"Are there any Macintosh features that I should not expect to work when running Windows XP on an Intel-based Macintosh computer?
Even after installling the Macintosh Drivers CD, the Apple Remote Control (IR), Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard or mouse, Apple USB Modem, MacBook Pro's sudden motion sensor, and MacBook Pro's ambient light sensor will not function correctly when running Windows."
So it does indeed look like you'll need a wired keyboard and mouse, at least for now (we'll have to see what's supported when Leopard comes out).

Using Firefox 3.6 after a few mouse click/ keyboard input the firefox window is no more active, mouse click and keyboard input is inactive ; then I click on the taskbar and the keyboard is active again during a few click then it stops again etc.

Apple wired extended keyboard on Vista, windows and alt key

I've got a pair of these beautiful, slim, keyboards that I use under Vista...they are wired units.
The Windows and Alt key are flipped. How can I get the into a windows layout instead of a mac layout?
I downloaded the MS layout editor but it won't let me edit the alt key.

Windows 8 keyboard and mouse not working

After a series of updates my computer booted up with no keyboard or mouse working, This includes both PS2 and USB and several restarts.
The computer works fine when booted with the windows 8 CD Mice and keyboards are working fine. I don't want to refresh my machine as I have will hours of program reloading to do. This is very frustrating!
I have been though all the other related topics on this forum, google and bing, noting works so far.
Any help would be appreciated.

found some of the ones that msinfo32.exe lists.   So, in fact, if that works, I suppose you would start there: msinfo32.exe Components Input Keyboard. I know that wmic.exe works in Command-only mode
but I'm not sure about msinfo32.exe.
There are other possibilities too. E.g. use regedit.exe for its Load Hive command to compare registry values.
I wonder if mskey.exe can run in that limited boot? It apparently knows more about keyboards than msinfo32.  That's the diagnostic tool that comes with Microsoft keyboards in case you have it.  Looking at it makes
me think that registry settings may be more important than the driver module which may make the Load Hive idea a more promising tack to try.
BTW this looks very similar to something that happened after RTM. As I understand it, the install threw away all HID drivers, leaving it with none. I don't know how that problem was fixed ultimately. Maybe the people that saw it just gave
up on W8.   ; }

Windows 10 install (64 bit). Mouse and keyboard do not work, can't click through setup configuration.

I've tried with both upgrade and iso installation (starting from Windows 7), but for some reason, after setup is finished and I get into the configuration area (IE, accepting license agreements or choosing network or choosing express setup), I do not have
a mouse and keyboard to do anything with. The keyboard and mouse are powered, but aren't giving input. For example, toggling cap's lock does not show up on the keyboard's lights.
Keyboard is Razer Black Widow, mouse is Gigabyte M8000X. I also tried with a Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard pair with the Razer unplugged during setup (Reason being, a separate razer setup window would appear during the 'configuring devices' stage).
I am able to install to virtual box, but I've only tried the 32 bit installer. I have not yet tried the 32 bit installer on the actual machine, and I have not yet tried booting to the CD.

Capture All Mouse and Keyboard events even if java window NOT in FOCUS

Hi All,
Is this possible to capture all mouse and keyboard events even if java window is not in focus or is minimized. This java program should cature each and every event from the user once the program is started. Any help in this regard is appreciated!

It sounds like it is time to restore from the backups you made just before making the disk changes.
You can re-partition and restore your backups. If you didn't make backups first (you were warned that it might damage things and to make sure you had a good backup) then you will need to repartition everything and reinstall from scratch...

You switch keyboards by going to the " flag" menu at the top right of the screen.

On rebooting to install windows get message: 1:2: Select CD rom Boot Type:_ and keyboard doesn't work! type

Trying to instal windows again (new hard drive) via bootcamp on my oldish Macbook;
on rebooting to install windows I get a dos screen with the message:

Any ideas?

To get the disk out restart while holding down the mouse button. To get back to OS X restart while holding the option key and when the boot screen appears select the volume with OS X.
